Were you like Miss Baek too?

This film based on a real life story courageously attempted to be an eye-opener regarding domestic child abuse. As serious as the matter it is, it's quite often overlooked by the society.

Thanks to the wonderful acting of the casts, this film brought the emotions to life. Without much words, just seeing the character looking at each other is more than enough to tell how they feel.

This film is really a work of art. Just by seeing the trailer, I knew that this would be something and it doesn't disappoints. Take your time and get to know Miss Baek, it's all worth it.

The cinematography and casts are exceptional and the story is something unexpected

Regarding the plot, at first I was just pure confused where the story is heading but it was fine. I felt like the story is starting to build up from there. Then the girls started disappearing and I was like, 'are they turning into ghost or something?' and that's when it started getting clearer where it's heading. I admit it was unexpected but maybe I was disappointed as well that it headed that way. If you wanna understand what I'm saying, I'll suggest you to watch the movie. It's worth the time.

Although I got confusions at the first half, I find this movie worth it because the main leads were able to show their good acting skill specially Park Bo Young when midway she became somehow superhuman strong which reminds me of Strong Woman Do Bong Soon but on this movie she's just fierce. The cinematography is excellent by the way, I'm so hooked in it.

This is also extraordinary since it was set on Japanese era something so it's unique. This is a great movie but of course once you clarified the confusions, watching it again is less fun.

It's like a sex education material delving on the psychological aspect instead of the 'deed' itself.

Story-wise there's nothing special about the plot, it is a portrayal of teenage student being curious about sex. Although the story is nothing special, the lesson is something worth pondering. If sex is something that you should do out of curiosity or not.

As for the cast, they are well fitted for the student characters and also the main leads had chemistry with one another. The other supporting roles like Yoon YooSun and Min SungWook are a good fit for the role as well. They were one of my favorite Ahjumma and Ahjussi actors.

This is something worth a shot specially for those curious teenagers thinking about doing 'it.'

Law and crime genre in a really whole new level... Welcome to the city of the lawless

For those who loves law and crime genre, this one is something you shouldn't really miss out. Law dramas are usually heavy and most commonly follow the same cliche plot about high ranking officials who are trusted by the people but in reality are abusing their power for personal gains but then a victim of their wrongdoings decided to step up and seek for revenge. This drama has practically the same story line BUT what made this drama worth-watching is that among the law and crime genre dramas I've watched before, this really stood out for good reasons. First, I like the fact that there were less technical terms about law which made it easier for me to focus on the story itself and the emotions that the characters portray. Second, this drama despite being heavy due the revenge story, was able to insert various emotions that will make you feel like you are riding on a roller coaster of emotions. There were scenes that can make you laugh really hard, then there will be scene that will make you feel the suspense and the tension, at some point you will also see yourself being hooked on the romance among the leads then it will make you cry as well eventually feeling the hardships of the main leads.

Aside from the amazing plot itself the casting also played a crucial part in making this drama a big success on my heart. At first, I didn't know that Lee JoonKi was starring on this until he first appeared on screen. I haven't seen him on a similar genre before so I wasn't sure about what to expect but on the first ten minutes watching the first episode, I already knew that he will nail the role and damn he really did. For the female lead, Seo YeJi, I honestly didn't see her on other dramas I've watched before so she's unfamiliar but as the character shapes up along with the drama, I can't even think of any other actresses that will fit on her character as accurate as she portrayed it. The chemistry between the two was natural (as far as I remember, LGK always have a good chemistry on whoever he is partnered with. The supporting roles like those who worked for Lawless Law Firm was mostly responsible for adding humor in this drama, without them I'm almost certain that it won't be as good as what it turned out. Although there were several villains in this drama, Lee HyeYoung and Choi MinSoo were the most highlighted villains. They are really one of the most sought-after villains in the drama world. The type of villain that will make your blood boil out of anger while watching it because of how good they act as the villain on the story but at the same time you can't stop yourself in respecting and admiring them as talented actors and actresses doing a very great job in breathing life into their roles.

The sound effect makes me excited specially on fight scenes, while moving to the beat of the music, I feel like I'm throwing kicks and punches with them. I also love that there were accents on this drama even though I'm not really sure what accent it is. As good as this drama may be, there were still some heavy parts all throughout it involving deaths, revenge and power manipulations so it's not really a drama that you can re-watch over and over again like romantic comedy dramas but for me this is still really one of those must-watch dramas that you might regret not trying even once.

So, are you ready to dive in to the city of the lawless?

Slow burn romantic comedy drama plus the typical rich family 'heir' problems

Pretty Man is quite a story that tried to put several genres in one. The story also lacks emotional development on most parts specially on the first few episodes where they only try to emphasize glam and beauty of the male lead, Jang Geun Seuk, which is a bit annoying because of the narcissism. There's no logical reason as to why the male lead needs to use women as a stepping stone for his goals. Good thing is that it starts becoming a bit bearable when IU and Lee JangWoo started to appear and sparks chemistry between them. The comedy added flavor to it like when the love triangle happened it's not too heavy to watch. Male lead meeting different woman and using his face to get his way is a total non-sense, they could've just introduced new characters on a more natural way than introducing it as a mission. On the latter part, the drama was able to introduce some emotions to the character so from a fading flame, it started to ignite again. Indeed a slow burn drama.

As for the casting, Jang Geun Seuk's role is pretty similar with his other drama. MaTe's character is too shallow that I can't understand where is he coming from. I'm not sure if it's the story or the character but the egoistic character is so annoying that I stopped after few episodes. Good thing it gets better towards the end. IU, on the other hand played perfectly being cute and optimistic which actually matched Lee JangWoo's character. Somewhere in the middle I actually think that they were a better pair than IU and Jang GeunSeuk which almost look like a brother-sister. The other characters like the women that Jang GeunSeuk met perfectly portrayed their characters as well.

The music wasn't really connected with the drama itself aside from the song that JangWoo sang. The other songs were like a mood setter. Because of it's slow burn plot, it's hard to re-watch it because the good parts starts in the middle, it's very hard to get past on the first few episodes without getting pissed.

If you have a spare time, I recommend this still because despite the problematic plot, there were life lessons included in this drama. Just be patient and wait for it to start being good towards the end.

A mystery, reality horror show with a hilarious twists by Super Junior

This is one of the accidental discovery when I'm trying to find something to watch. This was a mystery, reality-horror show which is starred by Super Junior in 2006. The whole story is quite engaging and you will have to really finish it from start to end. Even though I finished it already, it engraved a question in my head. Which part of it is the truth and which part of it is scripted for the sake of the show. It is too convincing just to be purely scripted and fictional. Was Donghae really affected or is he just acting? I'm not sure and I guess I'll never know the answer.

Super Junior is one of the boy groups that even though I'm not 100% fan of, I really like the members and I enjoy watching the shows they are in. But I'm still curious if this really happened to them.

The sounds and visuals are too convincing and the jump scares. GAHD! It scared the hell out of me.

This is a good marathon for a Halloween special. It's really scary and hilarious at the same time.

Unexpectedly good movie

Usually I find Korean movies weird and usually at the end of the film I would ask myself, "what the hell did I wasted my time for?" But this movie exceed my expectation. It is a story that's a bit heavy in terms of the gangster genre but it highlighted the good side of it's plot which is knowing what your happiness is. Once you know what you wanted no matter how simple it is it will give you the best satisfaction in life.

For the casting a usually hate Se Kyung because I feel like she's always overacting but given that she doesn't talk much in this movie, I came to like it. I think serious roles are better for her. With the 'ahjussi-agassi' love story I am not too sure if I like it but at least I didn't find it gross.

This is unexpectedly a good movie so I am looking forward for more K-Movies that will take me aback.

Park NaRae says it all. Her hilarious sexcapade and relationships

I've seen NaRae on several variety shows and I know her as one of the known comedians in the industry. She's usually liberated and doesn't really filter her comments which is one of her charms really. She was able to show her personality well on this stand-up special where she said it all although it's a bit Rated X.

Some of her jokes were really funny. Some are so-so but overall I enjoyed watching this. Some people who are sensitive about sexual jokes can pass on this one as NaRae shared a lot of dirty things about her past experiences. It's still decent enough though and it was fun. If you're a fan of NaRae's humor, definitely watch this.

Must you get revenge? Regardless of the price?

That was one hell of a ride action and revenge story. I didn't expect that I'd love this series as much as I do after watching it. So here are the list of things I love about this series.

1. The complex yet simple and not-so complicated plot. Genres that falls under dark categories like revenge, crimes, killing etc. usually have this extra grand oh-so complicated plot that eventually lose me midway because the story became too complicated and there's a lot going on making it hard for me to focus on it until I lose my interest. However, My Name consistently got me from start to end. I have something to look forward every episode that kept me engage and emotionally invested.

2. The depth of the characters. I love the action scenes but more than that, one of the biggest factor for me to love something is to be able to understand it well. Do I understand both the protagonist and antagonist? Based on how they are presented, do their decisions made sense? Was it believable? My Name was able to answer all that for me with a Yes. It was all thanks to the good writing.

3. The casts. Good writing matched with excellent execution of the casts really made this an incredible work of art. Park HeeSun was a very convincing Choi MooJin that exudes that power as drug ring leader while also being a person that can be sentimental. Han SoHee as a daughter who lost her father and is willing to do anything even destroying herself in the name of revenge. I love how she portrayed JiWoo with that aura of a girl whose determination can surpass anything with an innocent face that hints being naive and just someone who's just hurt. There were lots of other notable characters and I believe that they made this series an outstanding one.

4. The breath-taking action scenes paired with excellent background music. There were tons of actions scenes in this drama, be it knives, guns or fist fighting. It was thrilling to watch it really. I am not an expert on action choreography however as an average person who seldom watches action genres, it was executed nicely. It doesn't feel exaggerated or out of sync. I notice that the BG music that was used was also mostly modern which gives off kind of EDM-like vibe. I almost hold my breath everytime an action scene comes on. I was even clapping like crazy while watching it.

Overall, I really recommend this drama. This really has blown my mind more than I expected and it made reflect a lot about life. It's a kind of series that leaves a big impact on you even after watching it. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Is this about apocalypse, corruption, judgement day, monsters or what? I seriously don't know

People have mixed feedback about this so if you liked this drama, I completely respect your preference however this review might not be for you. It's all my opinion so read at your own risk.

I don't know where to start how this is problematic for me. I don't have much expectations when I started watching it because it's not really the type of drama that I prefer to watch. I'm just seriously curious as to where the plot will lead me and maybe it's an unexpected gem.

During the first episode, I just thought maybe it's a slowburn drama wherein everything will make sense as I go further but I finished the drama and not much luck on it to be honest. I just seriously finished it because I don't want another pending drama on my watchlist.

Kudos to the actors though. I can see that they gave their all so I appreciate that. Maybe this drama is just really not my style. The ending also makes me feel like, 'what? Seriously they're expecting to drag this crap further?'

If you're thinking of watching this, it's just a 6 episode watch so why not see for yourself. You might like this more than I did. But if you're someone who loves watching series that makes sense, you can skip this one.

I don't even know what I've just watched

I want to start this review by saying that I am not really a fan of horror/demon slaying movie or drama. I do watch few whenever I need something different from my usual genres. What I say in this is purely my opinion.

First of all, I do get the logic about the legend of the eyes but that's all about it. I didn't understand what's the story even trying to say.
Why are there police? Why is the archaeologist obsessed about the legend? There were lots of things that doesn't makes sense. Don't get me wrong though because I am not sure whether it's because it's not really a genre I am used to watching. People who loves horror and thriller might like this, I am not so sure.

The only good thing I see on this movie are the familiar faces and the sound effects that were decent enough to make an eerie vibes throughout the movie. I just literally pushed myself to finish it just because I started it anyway and a slight hope that the ending will somehow give justice to the movie. Unfortunately, that's not the case. If you want to watch it then you can and if you find this movie enjoyable, please leave a comment or start a thread to let us know which part you enjoyed as we might have missed it along the movie.

Robot-human romance drama that will give you the feels and chills

Sci-fi romance drama that earned lot of internal screams from me. I love how exciting the story was made and it was very consistent from beginning to end unlike other dramas that will catch your interest in the first few episodes and fails you towards the end.

I wasn't really expecting anything much on this drama since everything seems normal, even the female lead is a new face to me. I was just really hooked with the plot premise of an AI and human love story and I keep getting anxious on what kind of ending this drama will give me. Thankfully, it didn't disappoint me at all.

If there's something that I really loved on this drama, it was Kang SeoJoon's praise-worthy portrayal of jerk NamShin and NamShin3. There was this look on this face that I didn't confuse the two of them. As soon as I saw his expression on the screen, I know for sure if he's jerk NamShin or the robot NamShin3 which is not an easy feat for any actors/actresses. The female lead is kinda so-so for me. The first few episodes gave a bad impression of her for me. The other supporting leads actually made the plot more interesting making you wonder on which side are they leaning.

The first few episodes setting is so picturesque. I'm not sure though if they really did the shoot on Czech Republic. I just love the ambience I guess. Even the houses featured emit different attitudes.

Overall, this drama is pretty much average but the consistency made me love this drama. It keeps my interest going without failing me. I didn't need to binge-watch the drama to appreciate it because it's easy to pick up where the episode ended. This is definitely a recommended drama for me.

P.S: I edited the rating because I realized how much I loved this drama because I kept thinking about it even if it's been months since I watched it. I keep singing it's OST as well.

One of the best comedic sitcoms you'll ever watch

This is a wholesome drama from comedy to romance to melodrama to thriller. Name a genre and it will appear on one of the episodes.

It is one of the best comedy drama I've watched because everything is natural. The jokes doesn't seem too forceful either. Every episode is like a story within a story. What I loved about it the most is that it doesn't require you to binge-watch it to appreciate it. You can watch an episode with a light heart and a good laugh then be productive and watch another episode at a later time because each episode is already a complete story. Every episode together creates a wonderful big picture but it lets you appreciate
and savor each detail of it. It's not all laugh and fun because there were lots of touching and romantic episode as well among the characters. The nonsensical events adds to the comedic atmosphere but if you really analyze it, the plot is quite simple and can be seen on most dramas but how it was presented is so unique and refreshing.

The characters on the story are all insane and having these unique kind of people on one place creates the funny vibe of the whole drama. Their relationship with one another is just unbelievable but at the same time you'll find yourself wanting to have a group of friends like them. Always loud and outgoing through ups and downs.

The casts were equally good for me because all of them made their characters come to life. It was as if I was with them in Waikiki all the time. Although the situations are ridiculously absurd, it really feels real. Although, I must admit that YiKyung's acting shined in this drama since he actually made most of the funny scenes and there were lots of side stories coming from his character.

If you just want to cheer up and watch a light drama, this is actually the best. An episode a day will keep your worries away.

Bite-size story of school life, bullying and a pinch of romance on one roller coaster of emotions

I really love this drama special for various reasons. The story line is very simple and that's the beauty of it. The message here is direct and that's why the simple plot made it more effective and relatable. It tackles school bullying and the pressure of students towards their grades and ranking. Obsession about numbers forced upon by the adults that takes the fun of being a student and a youth.

The casts were really effective. They breathed the youth on their character and it's just awesome. This 1-hour episode made me feel the emotions along with the characters like the romance, the pressure, the pain also the loneliness of the leads. If you wanna find out more, check it out. It's really worth the time.

I hope you enjoy watching this as much as I do because I might really watch it again since it's really daeeebaaaak!!!

Decisions = Consequences whether you like it or not

I have a mixed feeling for this series. I was avoiding it for the longest time but then when I watched it, it's actually better than I imagined. Storyline-wise, I had a gist of what would happen and when I started to watch it, it was still kind of unexpected -- so there's an element of it being unpredictably predictable. At first, I just hate the male lead for being an ass and then gradually his character started to develop and I love how his character development went. Unfortunately, we can't say the same for the other characters because there was no continuity to their life, they just became an entirely new person after a minor change in the past that ultimately caused a butterfly effect. That's kind of where I am kind of disappointed because I can't really tell if the female lead on the 1st version, is the same as the 2nd version. They almost felt different. There were lots of questions in my mind as to whether if the time travel element wasn't present, would they improve the same way? What would've happened? I just felt like the female lead was completely deleted after all the time warp, but that's just my thought. This series also reminds me of a couple of other dramas like Go Back Couple and Emergency Couple.

JiSung and Han JiMin did a great job portraying their character though. I have watched tons of JiSung's dramas and he always delivers so it's nothing new to me. He has a wide spectrum of characters he can portray (the most iconic one for me is on Kill Me, Heal Me). For some reason, WooJin's mother is an iconic character in this series, too. I felt like she did a lot of roles to make the whole series make sense but I also love the mystery that surrounds her.

Overall, I did enjoy the time watching this. There were lots of cringe-y moments that kind of felt good. I watched this with my partner and we were having long discussions about making relationships healthier so that's a plus for me. This series kind of give you an idea what to do and what not to do in a relationship so I definitely recommend this. It's such a good show to watch with your partner.
