Great cast, great story - what more do you need?

I think this drama takes k-drama to another level because it has it all - laughter, story, believable characters, emotions and a believable ending. There's always a bit of drama in all stories but this is a wonderful story, told in a down-to-earth way.

Thumbs-up to the guy who didn't get the girl - he really did his best and personally, I like him more than the main guy. His devotion, fighting spirit and earnestness really won me over - I'd take him any day! However, its the way all the sub-plots and come together in the end that gives you the warm feeling at the end - so, no tears for those who fear sad endings.

This is a story of courage and learning to trust in others, a true life story with outstanding cast and crew. Go for it!!

There's quite a number of star actors in this movie and the story goes along quite fast, not giving the audience much of a breather. The scenery is good, the quality of the fighting sequences quite impressive. Donnie does a good job (as usual) of fighting the baddies, and hands together to Kate Tsui, the other fighter, who I don't think is a martial artist at all, but gives quite a convincing performance.

The main actors are, of course, good looking and give a stellar performance, but credit also to the supporting cast, all of whom give credos to the story. Applause to the fighting scenes - they're quite different from the standard kung fu stuff. The special effects are good, not many scenes of flying around on wires, which I don't really like, as they're sometimes too exaggerated.

I'd watch it again if it was a rainy day and I wanted to see a decent film with a hero beating some bad guys.

Simply: liked this! Didn't look that much exciting to be honest from the story line but the story flowed well and the characters developed along with the flow. Loved Jang Hyuk - he doesn't disappoint in all his dramas/films; loved the lady lead and the second leads. I wouldn't have put them together but they seemed to fit in well and there was chemistry between them.

This is a drama that focuses on the feelings and character development, the thoughts and emotions - and that's what I thought was refreshing. Some dramas seem a bit unbelievable but this one felt as if it could happen in real life... and so realistic that it could happen to someone. Loved the music too - I sometimes don't like dramas with too many songs but this had its faithful few and they brought on the emotions at the right time.

Nice!

This drama has very high ratings from me - basically because I enjoyed all aspects: good story line, excellent music, superb cast.

Wasn't expecting anything amazing but the story pulled me in, with a simple story line combined with great character development which brought out the emotions. This drama is more than your average martial arts story, rather battle between good and evil, and the way love can change people. Unlike some dramas, the music was simple but moving can captured the emotion. This isn't a complicated story about strategy or war or anything deep as such, but rather a simple love story.

The sets were well done, I think there must be some authenticity to bring out the feel of the day, to set the tone and environment and bring out the story.

Acting is great - all characters did a great job, both the good and the evil. Special effects were pretty well done too, nothing really tacky as in some older dramas. Watch i!

Saw the reviews and gave it a try...and I loved this film. This is one of my current favorites.

The main actors did a great job - its believable that the main actor was a real samurai. The story is good - with lots of down to earth and solid principals to follow. As I watched, I did wonder how the ending would be - and though I'm a sucker for happy endings, I wasn't left feeling too upset, though it would have been nice if we had a better one.

I saw the high ratings and thought I'd give it a try, though the story line seemed a bit cliched.

I ended up completing the drama in less than a week (which is pretty fast for me, as I work full-time and long hours). It was much better than I had expected and the story line was good, with a good balance of drama, comedy, the evil guy and the age old good-overcomes-evil theme.

The male lead did a really good job in developing his role - running the range of loud, calculating and cold-hearted boss, out for money and couldn't care less about feelings, to the romantic, soft-spoken, funny boyfriend. I must say I was pulled in to his character very much so.

The female lead (though seemed a bit old to be with a younger male lead) did a good job too, the perfect complement. I also applaud the supporting roles too, especially the father of the man who died in the crash - just LOVE his style, not just in this drama but in other dramas too!! Extra shot of soju for him!!

In all, a great upshot drama about what life should be all about and how those who have had hardships and sadness in their lives can move on and make life to be what they want it to be. Try it out.

Must confess it took me a bit to understand the story, but the director did a good job. There was enough suspense and mystery to keep me watching. Its a bit unbelievable for me, but the story kept itself together and left me thinking that it was time spent well, though I might not want to rewatch it again for the time being.

Male lead did a good job - didn't expect him, with his boyish face and demeanor, to be able to pull this role off, but he did it well. Bit of a sad ending, as was to be expected of these kind of movies, but round of applause for a brave director and actors for exploring this genre of film. This is definitely a different kind of movie from the normal run-of-the-mill type of films that are churned out all the time for the majority of viewers. Try this if you're looking for something different on a rainy day.

Here's one of the best dramas that I watched recently. The co-stars were good, supporting cast also, and the storyline kept on going.

The scenes were done in a realistic setting, and the cast really seemed to know their medicine (from a layman's point of view). However, the supporting cast, especially Lee Pil Mo was my favorite. His cool demeanor and constant long face, as he tries to suppress his happiness was a constant source of hilarity to me - I really, really liked him a lot, and made me want to take him home there and then, and give him a hot supper and cuddle!

Another job well done here.

This is definitely an unexpected gem. The English title does not do it justice and I would have missed a wonderful drama if I had taken it at face value. The leads did an excellent job. As I continued watching the drama, I found myself increasingly becoming immersed in the story and drawn to both the male leads. I've watched a decent number of dramas and this is the first drama that I've honestly liked both the leads. They are, of course, polar opposites in terms of character, but they both did such a good job that I just could not decide who should get the leading lady.

One is the cultured and upright first-born son of a rich and well-connected family, well-read, good-looking (of course), top-notch martial arts and chivalrous but mentally challenged as a result of an accident. The other is a happy and carefree leader of a sect who's looking for his childhood sweetheart. Both have wonderful personalities and are devoted to the female lead in delicious and heartwarming ways. It's all so difficult to resist! Just one note about the female lead and that is she seemed to shout and pout a lot - and I mean a lot. Ladies shouting in high pitched voices seems to be a popular thing in Chinese dramas for some reason. I can't understand it, male leads run the risk of going deaf in dramas, haha.

The supporting actors and their sub-stories weave very well into the main plot. What's most important is that the ending is well-written and satisfying. At no time did I feel as if something was missing or loose ends were not tidied up properly.

At first I thought this was another typical drama about one woman and several men...not much new there.
But, I was wrong!

Strong cast, great chemistry between all characters, excellent story line which brought out the theme of the drama and none of the episodes felt too long - kept me going from one to the next! There was such a strong chemistry between the leads, and it didn't feel forced at any point and the story didn't fall apart or seem incredulous either.

For once, I thought the OST was good too (though I don't understand Korean) but the music brought out the feelings. The characters were quite true to life without a lot of the melodrama that sometimes goes with dramatizing the difference between rich boys and poor girls thrown into their lot. A clean and sweet drama, full of touching scenes where you just want to go back, re-watch and live the feeling all over again. I don't usually re-watch dramas, but this is going to be one of the ones I will watch again!

I watched this many years ago, and it is quite outdated by today's standards. However, it was one of my first K dramas, so I won't be too harsh about it.

In itself, the story is good for what it was at the time. I think it could be done much better with today's technical advances, but it was quite a story at the time. I thought the supporting actors, namely, Ryu Si Won, could have developed his character more, expressed his emotions more; there was some crying involved in most episodes and some of the actions could have been less stereotypical, but it was an OK drama for the era it was produced.

Most of the actors/actresses have improved their performances since then, so this was a satisfactory attempt. You could spend some time on this if you really have nothing to do on a long vacation, if not, try watching something else.

Haven't seen many reviews on this drama, so assuming its not well-known? But I enjoyed it immensely.

The story is about how a person can overcome a deprived childhood, with the help of friends and colleagues.
I am sure the story is true to life for children among us, who may have found themselves to be the unloved child of the family, blamed for the misfortunes that happened; being the youngest or being born at an unfortunate time and being blamed for bringing calamity to others.

Quite a few leading actors/actresses in this drama and they all did a great job. The acting and the flashbacks weaving throughout the film bring the pain and suffering to the viewer. The fact that a few well-spoken words can bring reason and break the vicious cycle of suffering is pivotal to the drama. People can rise above their difficulties - your life is how you make it. It is the child actors who were the most outstanding - how they express their emotions and bring out the tears, makes the viewer want to give them a hug and protect them for ever after! Romance is weaved in through the drama too, and its easy to see why everyone falls for the main actress.

Another heart-warming drama for rainy days!

The description sounded a bit corny and the beginning indeed was a bit corny so I thought I'd watch a few episodes to see how it went. And then I found myself falling in love with the two leads, but especially with the male lead, whose dimples just kept me glued to his every smile. His every gesture and action was just charismatic and mesmerizing. One of the best actors of all the dramas I've seen to date and I think he's got a lot to offer (look forward to seeing him in more roles!). The female lead was a bit annoying at first but they made a good couple and they had good chemistry.

It's a good old-fashioned romance where brotherhood, friendship, true love, chivalry and loyalty are all major ingredients in making this a light-hearted but entertaining story that doesn't wear you out with too many episodes.

Old movie but COOL story! Watching it brought me back into timewarp to my younger years in high school....and the emotions going through all the teenagers back then. Yes, I could remember a few of the boys being like that, and some girls like that too, but its just so SWEET!!

Great acting from the main cast - just so COOL! I really enjoyed it. Don't mind it not being HD, and don't mind the dated clothes, I'd recommend this to all you people out there who aren't young anymore but remain young at heart :)

Saw the good reviews so thought to try it out - and it didn't disappoint.

Great scenery, great actors/actresses, great story line, great chemistry between the leads = no complaints at all. A nice heartwarming drama about family values, personal growth and learning how to love and be loved. I wanted to be Misaki!
