TharnType The Series =MewGulf

Warning: This is a Boy's Love/ Yaoi drama (LGBT theme). Watch the drama at your own risk! This BL drama can be considered as underrated at the beginning because it was not produced GMMTV. In my observation, GMMTV is the biggest producer of BL drama with many popular BL actors/koojin under the company such as TayNew, BrightWin, SingtoKris and OffGun. Both lead actors- Mew Suppasit and Gulf Kanawut were not signed under big names and yet they reached stardom from this series. Now, Mew Suppasit has his own company and Gulf has signed under Channel 3 -their career progressing in steady speed and getting better each day- all thanks to their hardwork in the drama. Although there are a few things were questionable about the characters and story, I believed the production team and the director did a great job on this drama. Tharn Kirigun- Mew Suppasit's character is totally a boyfriend material although his 'seducing' method quite questionable (you gotta watch to understand what I am talking about ?). However, I still can put it behind me and adore him to be with Type- the handsome but foulmouth 'room mate'. Tharn will made you want to have someone who is as attentive, kind, patience and hot as him in your real life (as he did in mine). His character is far from perfect- epitome of when you trully love someone, you will embrace his flaws too. Same goes for Type - at the beginning you will wonder what made Tharn head over heals for him yet as the story progresses, you will see that both characters are cut for each other. Gulf Kanawut is perfect for Type- although he is still green, but his acting skills made you believe that he is Type Thiwat. The comedy antics by Type's bestfriend cum as sidekick - Techno was hilarious to me. Compared to Techno's character in Love By Chance (produced by same writer) played by a different actor, for this series, the production was right to choose Mild Suttinut. He played a big role in Tharn-Type's relationship and he shone on his own character. The soundtrack of the drama also catchy and really suits the drama even the background tune can easily made you recall which scene happened with the tune. My fave will definitely the acoustic version of "Hold Me Tight" by Mew Suppasit- he nailed the song in his own style compared to original singer- Off Chainon. All in all, Tharn Type the series season 1 made me fell in love with MewGulf and appreciate their talent. This drama worth a good rating as the director and production team hard work should be acknowledge.
