"Kalel, 15" was the movie that earned Elijah Canlas his first "Best Actor" awards and made his name known internationally. In "About Us, but not About Us" which was written and directed by Jun Robles Lana like "Kalel, 15", Elijah Canlas proves that he is an amazingly complete actor at the age of 22.

Both "May-December-January" and "Metamorphosis" are outstanding Filipino movies. What they have in common is the brilliant acting of Gold Aceron, who plays an intersex person in the latter, and a gay boy who suffers from a heart disease in the former. In both movies the other actors are very good, too, and both movies tell interesting, unique stories and have a good cinematography.

Although "To Sir, with Love" was a lakorn and "laws of Attraction" is a BL series, Jam and Film are the lead couple in both productions, and they were a gay couple in the lakorn, too, and as their chemistry in "Sir" was great, we can expect the same for "Laws" - that's what I hope at least.

Although "Coffee Shop" is "only" a series of short films, whereas "Ghost Host Ghost House" is a full fledged series, they have several things in common. First of all, there are Boy and Tod as lead actors, and they are doing a great job in both productions. Then, both "Ghost Host" and "Coffee Shop" are well written, directed and acted. They are best entertainment indeed.

Like "Remember Me", "Osmosis" integrates people with special needs in the plot. In "Remember Me", Name suffers from selective mutism and Champon needs a wheelchair. In "Osmosis", James, the main lead (James Ramada with some heartbreaking scenes), also has selective mutism, Paolo (JC Santiago, also very convincing) is a stutterer, and Diego/Dante (Harwin Medez, frughteningly realistic) suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder. In contrast to "Remember Me", "Osmosis is a low budget production, but it's worth watching anyway.

"Pee Nak 3" is a comedy, like "I will knock you", but it's a horror comedy, although not too scary. Tar plays a Buddhist novice in "Pee Nak". He was only 15 when he played in the first "Peen Nak" movie, so despite his young age he can be regarded as an experienced actor. In "I will knock you" he has the opportunity to show his comic talent, and Bom is like a natural partner for him in the series.

Although "Little Big World" is more like a documentary, whereas "On Cloud Nine" is a fictitious series, they both celebrate the beauty of Northern Thailand. The setting of "On Cloud Nine" contributes a lot to the mystery of the plot, and Phuwin and Pond show viewers how to experience this kind of magic themselves.

"On Cloud Nine" is an unusual and mysterious Bl series set in the Chiang Mai region, with breathtaking landscape views and great cinematography, directing, and OST. The lead actors Rossi and Meen are absolutely amazing, and one of them, Meen, plays a support role in "Oh! My Sunshine Night".

"180 Degree Longitude" is not the typical Bl series, but tells an unusual story involving a gay relationship of two men with a remarkable age gap. "On Cloud Nine" is an unusual series, too, and it isn't a typical BL series either, although it centers around a love story of two young men. Both series have an unusual topic, and an outstanding quality of directing, editing, and cinematography.

"Lihim" is a beautiful short film directed by Ambo Jacinto, like "My Freaky Love Story", starring Kaleb Ong and Davis Revilla. Warning: "Lihim" is no lightweight comedy, but utterly sad, but Kaleb and David prove their extraordinary talent, so it is very worth watching.

"My Freaky Love Story" and "Love Is" are both directed by Ambo Jacinto, and part of the cast is also identical (Mar Soriano, Kaleb Ong and David Revilla). The production quality of "My Freaky Love Story" is more consistent, and it has more comic moments, whereas "Love Is" was more realistic and thus relatable.

Both "Once in Memory: Just found Love" and "On Cloud Nine" are Mindtrio productions, which means that they are high quality. Rossi stars in both (in "Just found Love" Non is his co-star, and he is just as brilliant as Rossi), and Meen, who stars in "Cloud Nine", directed "Once in Memory". Mindtrio have taken the BL genre to a higher level.
