It was okay but just couldn't carry on

I waited to binge watch this because I am a huge LDW fan. That being said, I didn't really enjoy the first season as much as I thought I would. This season has the same issues. I loved the cast, I liked Hong Joo way more than I liked the first season's Ji-A. Ji-A's character was one of the main reasons I didn't enjoy the first season. I actually rooted for Hong Joo and Yeon to be an item, because I liked her character more. I loved all the supporting characters in this season especially the little girl, Jook Hyang. I just thought she was so cute and did a great job, even when she asked Rang if he had any smokes. I hollered.
I think it was really funny but it wasn't really fun. I loved most of the dialogue but I wasn't intrigued by the overall story. It was boring. The constant back stabbing by the two against Lee Yeon just to stand by him every time was aggravating and monotonous. I didn't understand the need for Yeon to be their for all that time just to have to keep fighting and saving his friends over and over. He was fighting the Japanese Govt general who was a creep when he should have just went against him from the moment he knew who he was.
I liked all the gods but their powers seems so small and underwhelming that I couldn't understand how Yeon and Rang had to fight hard against them. They were trivial at best. I think that is where the story lost me. I just didn't understand the power struggle that was constantly going on.

Hmm...

SPOILERS!!!

So, I wanted to like the whole cast especially the female lead because I thought she was beautiful. I thought the ml was handsome but in a strange, overdone, possibly plastic way; his whole face seems exaggerated just too much of everything that should have been handsome but seemed off together. But anyways. I liked the fl at first then her personality of being against all things Gu Yi got to be too much. Like she so quickly chose everybody but him and she did it in blatant ways that screamed that she just was finding excuses to not believe him at all.
It was actually strange because in the beginning, I don't think she had a problem with being his mistress or standing on the sidelines of his life. She kept their relationship a secret, she was okay with being the one he lose his temper on and not saying anything. I think if the other woman would have left her alone she would have still worked there and she would have stayed by his side.
I don't think he ever had bipolar disorder. I think he might have had PTSD and his personality changed due to his obsession with the fl but I don't think he ever had the disorder. I think the personality he had when he later pursued her was his original personality before he had the accident. But I also think that he treated her that way because she let him for whatever reason. She really could've walked away in the beginning and their relationship would have been different.
But honestly by episode 10, I didn't like her. Excuse the fact that she only started dating him because she thought the heart he received was the man she liked. She was fake from the beginning and wanted make it seem like he couldn't be honest with her but he was the only one that was honest the whole time.
The fact that not one person except for his parents were ever in the MLs corner. His mother was so aggravating in the beginning but her character changed but the FL's mother was aggravating and nauseating all the way to the end. Didn't like that lady at all. But the little brother was so cute!
This series ran through every cliche-trope there was in B-rated Chinese dramas and tried to pull it off in 20 episodes no longer than 30 minutes each. No wonder it was so ridiculous at times.
So, you are not going to like the ML in the first couple of episodes but he will be the only reason you watch in the next 17 or so. Again, I ddn't mind the FL especially after she realized that he was not her enemy but she was irritating for too long more than half the series to be exact.

Not that great actually

I am so sorry but this show definitely didn't live up to the online hype or the high viewership.

I started it because the public was going crazy for it but the first five episodes were totally boring. Then the last five were boring also. There were some laughs in the middle but it didn't make up for the rest of the bad episodes.

First, I couldn't understand the cast of the fl or her mother. They are only 6 years apart in reality and the mother looks better and younger than the daughter. The FL looks a lot older than the age they are trying to portray on the show. The cameras kept showing her really bad complexion and it took away from this beautiful image they tried to give her. it was sad.

The series was decent half way through. Not great, just decent. But it never got anywhere near good or the best series of 2023. Not even in the top 20.

The only characters that stood out to me was Jung Min and his girlfriend and the two department heads. The arguments between the two directors were the highlight of the series.

One of the best

I really enjoyed this series. Everything about it was good. The storyline, the acting, the cast, the fight scenes, EVERYTHING! It is so rare that I find something I enjoy just for the sake of watching it but I really loved this series. Also the cast was beautiful. Was there any thing that I didn't enjoy? Hmm. Nope, even the bad guy was sexy and believable. I loved his sardonic crooked smile. Again, the cast was beautiful.

Conspiracies!

Everyone she met was conspiring against her and Zisheng all the way to the end. It was obviously their fault for everything bad that happened to the conspirator (sarcasm present).
In the end, only 1 friend, 2 men who loved her, the emperor and empress and her family didn't betray her at some point besides Zisheng and his people. Everyone else, no matter how nice they seemed, had an agenda and wanted to end her life at some point.
Also, the emperor's consort aggravated my soul so much. I understand they were childhood sweethearts and that the emperor was forced to marry the empress by their family, but they didn't have to make her life miserable. The drove her so deep into depression, she later died of a broken heart. And I blame them. With the consort acting like she was so magnanimous and going to convince the emperor because she could, with their constant smiling and looking at each other with love like the empress didn't deserve love too. Even to the end, the empress called this rat a sister.

I really enjoyed it.

I really, really enjoyed this series. The fl wasn't vapid and childish, she was so cute. The ml is always one of my favorites so no surprise there. The storyline was okay, tropey because the fl always seemed to step into better opportunities. Most people would never see even one of and she got like 10. I think that could probably be my only complaint about the series, her success was really improbable.
The ChuChu chick was aggravating. She was supposed to be so perfect and she smile in Yun Shu's face but she kept doing sneaky things to try to make her look less than her. You're older and more successful and yet you still are jealous of and trying to sabotage a young woman. I don't care if their relationship was contractual, that was a married man and she kept trying to steal him. And the whole time, Yun Shu was smiling at her, trying to be nice to the lady who was trying to steal you husband.

Storyline was so bizarre.

I had such high hopes for this series but it just continued to disappoint. The storyline was so rushed and there was so much mess to it, probably because of the mini episodes. But they tried to push so much into 4 hours. How does someone lose their memories so many times and still end up clueless? I swear Chinese dramas always need the fl to be disloyal and run to the bad guy every time or they think it's missing something. Every Time! This story was dumb to me and the good acting of the mains would have saved it but they never got a chance. The ending was dumb too. How did 4+ hours of actual storyline take me 3 days to watch because there was nothing there to keep going back for. Wasted my darn time.

Great!!!

This drama was literally fantastic. I have never watched a C/T Drama that I enjoyed more and I have watched dozens. I usually only watch Kdramas and sneak in a Chinese or Taiwanese drama once in a while, if I find a good one that I can finish all the way through. There has actually been only about 15 that I have watched from start to finish and only 4-5 that I have rewatched. I have every intention of adding Oh No Here Comes Trouble to my rewatch list.
The cast was great, the story was great, dialogue was great. I have no complaints about this series except for the number of episodes it had and the fact that I don't see anything saying there will be a second season.
There needs to be a second season.
Also, I didn't like them implying YiYoung wasn't as handsome as Guanyoung. He is way better looking. Sorry not sorry.

Basically a HS story

There is 45 minutes in each episode. 35 minutes of each episode is given to their past in hs or earlier. This is not a current romcom, it's a high school romance that wasn't actualized until they are adults. The majority of the acting is mediocre, the storyline is nonexistent. The whole series was just hard to watch and held no actual value except a couple of scenes. It follows cdrama trope and the couple breaking up for the most ridiculous reasons. I mean they literally just told their friends that they were dating to just have a fight a few minutes later and stop speaking.

It was a great story

The only complaints I have are that the lead couple didn't really have much chemistry. I felt like the ml was holding the relationship together that the fl never really committed to the relationship. Like she had one foot in and one foot out. He seemed to be the only one initiating the relationship and it felt like she was going along with it.
I also didn't like her wardrobe. I understand they were going for a look where she is older than him but his mother dressed better than her. And the outfits his mother wore were more stylish than her marmish clothes.
And why didn't she actually try to get her son back? She said she would but when it came down to it, she just had visitations with him.

A great light watch

Another great drama without too much and without the extra tropes thrown in. The main couple would break up but they got back together fairly quickly because they really cared about each other. The main reason they broke up was because he didn't really have a memory loss and only used it as an excuse to stay closer to her.
Also, I sorta knew who the real bad guy was almost from his first appearance. I just didn't know how much his mind was messed up. I also don't understand if the ml is the father's real son or is he adopted? I don't think that was fully explained after a comment from the older brother.

I don't know why I like it!

I seriously don't. It was really bad. the fight scene were garbage, the demon costumes were ridiculous but them fighting was even worse than the silly scenes of the sects fighting. The storyline made no sense and in no way came together well. The funniest things were Seven and the monkey.
But I liked it. Right as soon as I realized that everything was not going to be good, I let myself just enjoy the acting. Most of the characters were great and the acting of bad scenes was good.
Maybe if it was a short series instead of a movie, thing would have been better. They could have built the world and characters better. But instead they squeezed it into a movie.
Oh, well.

I wish it was better.

I really wanted to love Love this series but it was just meh for me. It was good though, if that makes any sense.

I probably shouldn't have watched it on Disney+ because there was more ad time than there was actual show and the breaks, especially during crucial times, was really aggravating. So I will no longer watch any series on Disney+. The ads made it seem like it was dragging on and on.

The fight scenes were great and everyone was interesting but it just seemed anticlimactic. Every time something happened, a ad or a cut scene to the past.

I don't understand Kdramas obsession with let the one who should have been shot, live to come after you again. I feel like Babylon knew they had a bunch of pyscho on their payroll and then let them run around free to kill. None of it actually made sense to me.

There were so many unanswered questions. I am so confused by the purpose of this series.

Go Ahead and watch it.

I really enjoyed this series from beginning to mostly the end. Not that I didn't like the end, it was just a little drawn out. I liked all the characters. Everyone thinks the Ling Dad is the stronger one because he is a police officer but he is continuously bullied by Li Dad. Their arguments are so funny.
The plot was predictable but I still liked watching it.
I think Ling Xiao has PTSD from his sister's death and the subsequent imploding of his mother. I don't like the fact that it was never resolved and he sort of uses JianJian as a crutch or a lifesaver for when he goes through episodes.
I hated his mother from the very first episode and I hated her to the end. She was so selfish.

Obsession

This story was really slow at the beginning. I literally stopped watching several times and kept going because of all the good reviews. But it really picked up around episode 15 and I just kept watching.
The only part I didn't understand was Suying's obsessions and her refusal to see that she is unhinged. Because of her obsession with a man who didn't want her, she was used to attack the dragon who was ready to marry her. She then justified her actions by calling him and all demons evil when they were just existing. And everyone was like, yup let's agree with her. No other human was like, wait didn't you attack him, how is he evil? Because of her obsession with the man, she killed his wife in front of him and was mad that he still didn't want to be with her. Everything she did was supposedly for the man but she just couldn't get over the fact that he didn't want her or that the dragon ultimately got away.
These people ignored the fact that the whole family was crazy and just let her do whatever.
And the Phantom Lord, what was wrong with him? Why was he giving off hunchback drag queen?
