Devil Beside You is adaption of manga Akuma de Sourou (The Devil Does Exist) by mangaka Takanashi Mitsuba, who used former member of rockband X Japan to create main character. *** After finally getting the courage to confess her feelings, Qi Yue was handing her love letter to Yuan Yi, but by a stroke of bad luck, he did not see and walked passed her. The person standing in front of her was the troublemaker of the school, infamously known for his devilish ways - Jiang Meng. The devil will get what he wants, and the object of his desire was Qi Yue. Although having a cruel exterior, Ah Meng's heart is kind and caring, which truly touched Qi Yue. The big problem remained - Ah Meng is the son of the man Qi Yue's mother is going to marry. Even though they were not related by blood, who will accept this step brother-sister relationship? What is to become of their relationship when other lovers come into the picture?

  Devil Beside you is what got me into watching dramas. I loved how Mike He and Rainie Yang were able to show the pain of falling in love with someone you're not supposed to as well as the cute and goopy moments. Don't let the fact that they end up becoming step-siblings throw you off. I think that's what adds the most charm. I was honestly touched by this show...enough to buy it and watch over and over again.

  I LOVE this drama. It makes you feel so many emotions all at once. It pulls at your heart strings and makes you cry all at the same time. Although there are some parts that you just wanna break the computer screen and scream out WHY!!! but then this issue resolves itself and your back to being a blubbering fool on the floor. The characters are so amazing. The actors played them outstandingly. I recommend this drama to anyone.

  • Same main leads (and same supporting actors), basically the same plot. So if you liked one of them you'll have to like the other one, if you don't get too bored...
