This is a nice fill in your day / sunday movie!
We did cross many of these kinds of movies, and if you like those, you really going to like this one.
It is not new or refreshing but I really liked the chemistry between the two main leads! Their acting was convincing and I liked it.
Because the story is same old same I didn't find the movie that interesting, I could easily put this movie on while doing homework or if you just want to fill in your time with this. This movie just has something that didnt make me go: Wooow, cute, adorable or omg.. so I do feel like something is missing.
I would not rewatch this movie because I liked it like this and it isn't a kind of movie that I would rewatch.

Watch this: If you like romantic movies with a easy to follow story and an ending that is predictable.
Skip this: If you are looking for something with a good/interesting/deep story or a romance with heavy emotions.

This movie was slightly disappointing considering I was waiting for it for quite a while. I was expecting a normal cliched movie with cute characters and a simple storyline. Which was what I did get, except for the fact that the main lead was completely unlikable. Half the time I was confused as to what Moon Chae Won's character felt for Lee Seungi. There was a lot of mixed messages from her and her character itself was very inconsistent. Whilst Moon Chae Won did play Hyun Woo in a way that was believable, I struggled to understand what the character was thinking or feeling half the time (which isn't very good in a rom-com where the whole movie is supposed to be about one characters feeling towards another).

However with Junsoo, I fell in love with instantly. The fact that he took care of Hyun Woo and protected her throughout his whole life made me love him. He never gave up on pursuing a relationship with Hyun Woo and as a viewer made you want to root for him. Visually Hyun Woo and Junsoo made a great couple and having seen Moon Chae Won and Lee Seungi on Running Man it was clear the two had a great relationship and chemistry. But, this chemistry was not shown to us on screen which is what I would have liked.

Overall the movie is okay in terms of a rom-com, with some great humour in places. Although I wouldn't go out of my way to watch this again, this is one of those movies that you can watch with your friends as a light watch.

In light of recent events, seeing a certain actor in this drama play a photographer is a bit beyond disturbing. I don't want to even write his name out, but if you've followed the chat room scandal, you know. The rest of the cast are fine, but there is such a creepy factor in light of what he has confessed to doing. UGH!

That being said, even without that character in the drama, I still wouldn't have liked it. The FL character is totally unlikable in my opinion and has really no redeeming qualities. She treats her male bff like a servant and never shows any appreciation. She's foul mouthed, drinks heavily, and is just an absolute mess. The ML character, while the brightest spot in the show, is an utter doormat and you can not fathom WHY he would put up with all the garbage thrown at him or why on Earth he would like the FL.

It's just totally not my type of show at all.

The story line was quite simple but what really made this movie going for me was the fact that the main actors were good in portraying their characters. I'm saying this not as a fan because Lee Seung Gi is my bias, but because he really is good. Even Moon Chae Won, who I could care less of, did really well in this film. They really had a good chemistry going in every scene, it didn't feel like they were trying too hard to be into their roles. It's actually endearing to see them bicker, help each other out and eventually fill in the void of their own heart aches.

Music wise, it was a big help for important details in each scene but it was not something I couldn't forget or get an LSS (Last Song Syndrome) from. I also have to confess that I re-watched the film again after seeing it, I just had to replay some parts which I found really eye catching, which I will be mentioning below.

Here were some key points in this film that I found really lovely:
Friendship of the main character - since I am a sucker for best friend themed film, the turn of events for me at the end was a plus point. I like the fact that both of them really cherished each other and counted on each other for consolation in their personal lives.

Back drop - the places where the main characters spend their time was really something worthy to take note of if ever I do get to visit Korea. I'm not much of a party person, but that club in which they spend their time drinking was pretty much awesome. I've never seen a club which had a theme of a bath house/disco bar. It was weird and yet it was working well. Then there's those cozy apartments which belonged to the lead female and that house in which the main guy's family lived. It shows the coziness of a korean living. Finally, Jeju Island. That beach back drop was really something indeed. I love how saturated blue the ocean was and the waves... it was something that could pull me into really visiting the island.

Ending - it was the average ending where two people reconcile and such, it was not outstanding and even border lines into cheesiness, but I loved the closure. I am delighted in a movie that gives proper closure to the main characters. It was cute and simple. And definitely something I enjoyed watching.

Knowing Lee Seung Gi and Moon Chae Won, I have already expected that they will present a superb movie.. and after watching it, I had guessed right. Moon Chae Won brought out a magnificent spontaneous acting as Hyun Woo. Other supporting characters were a revelation too. Lizzy, Hwayoung, Lee Seo Jin, Jung Joon Young... even Ga-in's cameo was perfect!

What gave me a surprise was Lee Seung Gi's performance. Seriously... I doubt that I'll love Joon Soo if someone else portrayed him. It was a topnotch performance! I cried hard and was touched. I love his character the most. Their chemistry is also amazing; since they've been on Shining Inheritance before and remained good friends, I think it was easier to create for them.

Overall, I had a wonderful, precious time watching it. Highly recommended to everyone! :)

The cast was the first thing that caught my attention. Moon Chae Won is one of my favorite actrees and Lee Seunggi is one of many great actors out there.

The story line is sweet and yet easy to relate to.

Very cute movie about friends who've known each other for 18yrs. The boy has always loved the girl but she never looked at him. Seung gi has always been an excellent actor and i loved how he portrayed himself.. the kiss scene was on point not high schooly. Anyways great movie choice for drama fever

I actually really enjoyed this movie. It was funny and cute and quite enjoyable. The only thing I might have liked better is if the male MC didn't go after the girl in the end, and instead, the female MC went after the guy (since *she* was the one who broke his heart and all). But overall, very enjoyable, light, and well-paced K-movie. I really enjoyed the after-credits scene (be sure to watch till the VERY end of the credits!). This is definitely a movie I could see myself watching again in the future and something I could recommend to others of the appropriate audience.

Lee Seung Gi is so dang cute himself. He makes me laugh and can make me cry. His personality shines offscreen and onscreen. This short love story tells the truth about what most of us go through in life. Moon Chae Won, I never have seen her before or I have never paid attention to who she is but I will look forward to seeing her in more KDrama. This story and its location felt very normal to me and that is a good thing. It only took 1 hour and 56 minutes (squeezed in the 18 years) to tell someone you love them, HA, that is great!

2 wonderful actors, 1 mediocre story

Both the FL and ML are stellar actors with a good body of work. So one has high expectations when they are paired up. But the story is so mediocre. It tries to be funny but falls flat. The various flings are tiring to watch. The excessive alcohol makes one want to puke.
Their own chemistry feels warm in some places but falls flat most of the time.
Clichéd, dull, mediocre, tepid. Nothing special.
In fact it's irritating to watch middle schoolers cheer their teacher to follow his heart.
Sigh.....disappointing.
