First mainland Chinese production in the 21st century that I've watched and it trumped most of the Taiwanese dramas of modern times, IMHO. I love the juxtaposition of the real world and game world and how the characters act in either of them. Yang Yang is a dreamboat and the other characters are mostly easy on the eyes. I also love the brewing bromance between KO and Hao Mei. Watch it for all the elements: plot, characters, costumes, scenery, pacing, romance...and it will not disappoint. Only downside is the lackluster kissing skills of female lead but Yang Yang could kiss a tree and it will still look hot.

COMPLETELY ADDICTED - I don't have a count on how much times i have rewatched dis !!

It still feels like I ate a pound of sweet chocolate—dis show was too perfect. Did I particularly think deir chemistry was out of dis world?

//THINGS I LOVEDD// MOST Handsome, cheeky ML & de cute FL , the online connection, college romance, lot in-game , how de 4 boys 2gether show such a lovely camaraderie!... I liked de idea of having a parallel story in the real world and the fantasy game. The subplot of Er-Xi getting mistaken 4 Wei & de mistaken identity turns in2 professional & romantic disaster 4 her? Brilliant. "

//VERDICT// STREAM IT NOW !!! perhaps de only unrealistic aspect of dis drama is dat Xiao Nai & his relationship wid Wei Wei is too perfect 2 b true!"

I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea, but, honestly, if you love romance that stands above all WITHOUT drama, this is the one for you.

Actually, despite how much I watch dramas, I don't really LIKE too much drama, and, usually, Chinese dramas have too much for me. They tend to drag, taking ten episodes to solve a problem that should take, like, half an episode. This one, however, skips it ALL. I mean it. The problems this couple have are ALL solved because they trust and communicate with each other. It's WONDERFUL. Ten outta ten.

I love me a feel-good drama that I can watch for romance and warm-fuzzy feelings, and this one is mine~

Now, there are problems involving side characters and their perceptions of the main characters, not to mention some insecurity problems amongst friends, but it's very REAL and it MAKES SENSE, and I feel like that's so hard to find some times.

All Hail Wattpad Come to Life

You will cringe the entire time, but if you’re okay with that then go for it. I’m telling you, if you love wattpad stories you’ll love this because the first thing I thought was “what in the wattpad is this?”. It’s the typical smart, rich, handsome student turned CEO and the holier than thou girlfriend but I liked that. I was looking for a drama that wouldn’t have me tooooo invested and for Yang Yang too. I don’t know if this fits perfectly but it does to a great extent. Overall, I had fun with this.
It’s almost like watching a really badly produced Disney movie. It has all the cute perks that come with Disney movies but without the good production. I saw that another reviewer said that this is sweet like candy. It’s exactly sweet as candy and doesn’t last too long and that was fine by me.
If you’re looking for a mature show run and never look back. The amount of filler scenes in this show is INSANE even for 2016 but it is a Chinese drama so I was expecting that. The real age for this show should be 2009😂. For the first 17-20 episodes I watched literally only half of the show because I could fast forward and really not miss anything. I suspected it would be like that and I was okay with that because I really wasn’t in the mood to be serious. I wanted to be distracted and this does the job. The last ten episodes though, I barely fast forwarded at all. It was like that was when the show really started.
It’s super swoony in my opinion. Some people will absolutely hate the amount of cringe lines and situations. I really want to know why he doesn’t pay her during summer internships and why all she’s helping majorly with is admin work when she’s a comp sci major. But it didn’t bother me too much because the ONLY way to watch this and enjoy it is to ignore technicalities.
Er Xi is a friend I would’ve broken up with because what was that and the other antagonist guy is absolutely horrendous. Just No. I loved the MLs friends a lot and how accepting they were of her. The banter they had with her too was great. I didn’t mind the MLs attitude. I think he can be reasoned with but she never tried. She accepted his every word so how can I fault him lol. It’s worth watching if you think curling your toes lines are cute.
There was so much footage of the game world that was just pointless. So many pointless scenes. But if you’re looking to swoon and not have a serious drama then this will be fine. My emotions gave this a 7 for the last 10 episodes but the first 20 are just so filler like that it’s not fair. This should be a 6.5 overall but for some reason I feel bad rating it that .

Love 020 is a great show to watch to help you wind down at the end of a crazy day. The show had a great pace with amazing characters and featured a great gaming concept which was a fresh idea. I'll admit the storyline was a little cliche the lead actors/ actresses were a little... too perfect however the supporting cast Erxie & Mr. Girly they call him were perfect and made the show enjoyable I loved they're storylines and wished the show would've built on them more. I was a little thrown off by the ending It did end with some resolve but in a way, it left me wanting more they storyline could've continued for at least 1-2 more episodes to clear up a few more loose ends but overall great show!

This drama was actually recommended to me by a friend because she used to be a huge fan of Yang Yang so I decided to give it a go. The story is different and unique compared to other dramas that often follow a certain formula (boy meets girl, boy is rich, they don’t get along at first then fall in love but boy’s family is the cockblock etc). It was nice that there was no hateful mum and all that usual jazz.

Yang Yang’s acting was quite robotic and it was a bit boring to watch at times because he is actually so funny and full of emotion but he’s been reduced to a guy who mainly says “mm” or grunts as a response when people ask him questions. Perhaps that’s how his character is, y’know that mysterious and handsome guy who manages to make girls swoon without doing anything but I’m sure he’d still be able to manage a proper response rather than just a grunt. What I did like about his character was how determined and loyal he was even when people were trashing Weiwei. Another major plus was that the boy can kiss! Had no problems with his acting there.

As for Weiwei, I couldn’t stand her. She was a really interesting character initially and was presented as an intelligent woman who could take care of herself but as the drama progressed, she became so damn useless and boring. She is supposedly the department belle because she’s got the looks and the brains but towards the final arc of the drama, she did nothing to help and became the maid basically. What on earth happened there? They made her fall into that stereotypical role of a woman that is there to clean and provide food and run errands while the men solved the problem. Also, what is up with Zheng Shuang’s acting?? She can only manage the same repetitive expressions and during their kiss scenes, I have never deflated so quickly before. He’s great but she stands there like a wall. Lips not moving and I’m quite sure she actually frowned or had a look of horror during their first kiss. I dunno why the director didn’t tell her to step it up because he was basically team carry out of the two of them. Honestly, Dilreba would’ve suited the role way better.

Supporting cast was great though! Xiaonai’s roommates were hilarious, especially Banshan. Would’ve liked to see a bit more development between Haomei and KO because they brought that up and then that was it. Yiran might as well have been written out of the drama because she did absolutely nothing and I have never seen a character as annoying as Erxi. Couldn’t stand the chick because all she knew how to do was yell, act like a dumbass and was such a glutton.

Overall, the drama was ok. Not sure if I’d rewatch it because it frustrated me towards the end and Weiwei became useless.

I had long known about this drama from friends but I always hesitated to watch this. After 7 months, I finally watched this and today I regret not watching this earlier coz now I don't have time to rewatch it again and again. The episodes are literally amazing (exception is episode 3, 4, 6, 7, 8) and their kiss scenes from 17 to 20 and in the last episode are too hot to handle!!!

One alluring smile and Just one smile is very alluring are two captive soundtracks.

Even though there is no real "I Love You or I Like You" dialogue or a romantic marriage proposal, its truly the kind of drama that shakes a maiden's heart!!

This is the FIRST (yup, as in 1st) Chinese Drama I ever watched! and I guess it was just right!
I've been watching this drama endlessly on REPEAT. Thanks to Yang Yang

CAST: Every role fits the actor. I like the fact that there are no same characters for each roles (they are all unique)
Each actor brings out the best of each character. It feels like they don't even need to act.
I also would like to THANK Yang Yang for doing a great job! All thanks to him that I've been watchign this drama on REPEAT

STORY: The story is VERY light. I like the fact that it is straight to the point with not much of a drama.
It's like all you have to do is watch and enjoy. The side love stories were also cute!
All you really have to do is giggle and enjoy every episode.

MUSIC: Their songs are also commendable! I like the fact that Yang Yang sang one of the main OST.
Plus, the other characters did a cover of the other OST which is by the way amazing!

A chill yet enjoyable drama

This was my very first C-drama and it gotten me interested with watching other C-dramas too. As a gamer, I really did enjoy the concept of incorporating MMORPG into the story. It was really a fresh idea, and haven't seen this kind of concept done on dramas.

Story-wise it is a very simple storyline with no huge plot. It is another one of those chill dramas that you want to watch when you don't want anything heavy.

Things I've enjoyed from this drama:
- Again, let me repeat. I enjoyed how they incorporated MMORPG game into the story. As a previous 'Age of Wushu' player, the game they were playing was really similar. So everything happening from the game was relatable, even the toxic players too.
- I'll be honest, despite the main leads are a bit stiff with their characters. I do enjoy the chemistry between them, the fluffy scenes would just make me squeal.
- I love how the main leads have complete trust with one another in their relationship. This was something I didn't expect to see in a drama, and it was just so nice to see this kind of couple in the drama world. They would talk things out, and wouldn't submit to any rumors and clear things out.
- Wei Wei (FL), she's very intelligent and she's very capable of handling herself.
- 'Villains' of the story had much positive growth.
- I enjoyed the subtle bromance between two of the characters in the series. Also I do love the ML and FL's set of friends, they really do bring life to the drama too.
- The drama gave justice to the novel source, I love how they fleshed out the online scenes and other parts of the story.

Cons:
- I'll be honest in the first several re-watches I've done, I didn't really see it at first... but let me just say that Xiao Nai is really a huge red flag. So if you're uncomfortable with the ML being a stalker in the first few episodes and a bit dominating with making decisions for the FL. Maybe this might not be your cup of tea.
- Kiss scenes between the main leads are mediocre. Yang Yang did a good job, but Zheng Shuang didn't do much responses to his kisses. I would understand where the first kiss where she was dumbfounded and not responding since it was her character's first kiss, but wish she became more responsive on the next kisses.
- Main leads' characters, Xiao Nai and Wei Wei, are a bit too perfect in my opinion, their character wasn't relatable. Would have been more enjoyable if they had their own flaws as well and saw them have more character growth. But there's really no character growth for the main casts.
- I did not like who the second FL ended up with. She deserved someone better in my opinion.

Overall:
If you want something not so complex. Just a chill and simple drama, you might enjoy this. I really enjoy it despite it being a simple and easy going story. There are some flaws, but that's okay. Love the concept of the relationship starting from online, and it becoming offline (real) and a healthy one also.

Romance + Video Game concept...what could go wrong? The answer...NOTHING!

I actually just finished watching this drama for the 2nd time and I loved it as much as I did the first time I watched it.

STORY: I am a lover of video games so to have an entire drama with this as a part of its story...I’m all for it. The romance definitely is the reason why people watch this drama but the video game theme doesn’t hurt. It is like this drama is telling 2 different stories. One story within the game and 1 story in reality which keeps it interesting. The video game scenes are beautifully done. I also like that the male and female lead both have brains and beauty because it doesn’t fall within the usual tropes of a lot of Asian dramas where the female is portrayed as a damsel in distress. One downside is that I feel like the same characters who create the initial conflicts for the main couple because redundant by the end of the story because coming from a viewers perspective by the middle or near end of the drama, the main couple has no reason to break up or have conflict so for these “rival” characters to butt in again and again was a little annoying but I remembered that from the first time I watched it as well.

ACTING: I have to say the actor playing the male lead carried this drama. I didn’t like or dislike the female lead but I definitely preferred the male lead which was the same when I first saw this drama. If it wasn’t for the male lead and the supporting cast, I probably would have dropped this drama the first time I watched this drama...this drama is the reason why I like Yang Yang so much.

MUSIC: I like the main theme that played when the main couple were together. It gets into your head FOR SURE!

REWATCH VALUE: Since this was my second time watching this drama...I would say it has a HUGE REWATCH VALUE FOR ME! It is just an easy and sweet drama to put on during a rainy day.

OVERALL: if you are looking for a light and romantic drama with good chemistry, an unique theme and great CGI...THIS DRAMA IS FOR YOU!

very very love for love 020

The drama Love 020 was the best romantic drama I have ever seen. There are several 18+ scenes here. Kint likes it too. It has been quite difficult to see with the English subtitle. However, it was a very beautiful and story-driven drama. I didn't want to get up after watching the last 10 episodes. However, I finished. Not to mention the performance of Zhang Shuang and Yang Yang. I have never seen such a beautiful performance in other movies. it's best on my life. i cannot hide from my memory.

This drama has several strengths and weaknesses that i want to point out.

Story
This drama has a quiet standard story. What i meant here is the whole story of the drama has been used by many previous dramas. But, the element about gaming fascinates and intrigued me. The story is well build. Moreover, the story is not as clingy as the other similiar type of drama.

Plot
The plot of this drama is simple and quiet consistent pace even the pace slow down and plain at some moments. The plot may slow down but it doesn't rush.

Acting
The acting is good enough. The expressions of each character is well delivered. The chemistry among casts, especially the main casts are great. I don't expect the two main casts can gradually put the feeling into their characters.

Music
To me, the soundtrack for this drama is good enough. But to be honest, i prefer a more beat song to complete the drama.
