What can I say about this drama? I'm literally listening to the ending song of the last episode as I type. This drama has been my favorite C-Drama to date. The cast was fantastic, the music was epic and beautiful and sad, the love between the two main leads was just *chef's kiss*. I could rewatch this again and again. 10/10 would /definitely/ recommend!

Other random notes:
- Bai Qian is a savage QUEEN and just an all-around BA. One of my all-time favorite moments of the series is when she is delivering some well-deserved retribution (those of you who're familiar with the story/drama will know who/what I'm talking about)
- 3rd Uncle is like the only one in the Heavenly Tribe that deserves rights
- Nai Nai is the only maid ever
- Zhen Zhen & Zhe Yan <3
- The Fox Tribe is the only tribe ever. They're so loyal. Love them all (except not so much you Bai Yi).

I'm excited to see how Fengjiu and Donghua Dijun's love story will be told in The Pillow Book. I wonder if they'll stick strictly to the novel or tie it in with 3310.

It was an emotional roller coaster ride!!

Women are trouble, that's what they say in this series but the love stories will give you the reason why ;) Ye Hua and Bai Qian's love story will give you all the reasons to get excited, smile, shout and cry throughout the series. The character Ye Hua, played by Mark Chao, is brilliant and not to mention Mark Chao himself delivered a praiseworthy performance from the beginning till the end. Both the characters played by him, Mo Yuan and Ye Hua, were beautifully performed by Mark Chao and the way he distinguished two almost similar characters using his body language (especially the look of his eyes) is commendable. Honestly speaking, Ye Hua's introvert yet majestic and charming personality was what kept me going on throughout the series and it was worth it ;') I absolutely loved, loved, loved Ye Hua's love for Bai Qian portraited in Eternal Love and how deep, meaningful, reasonable and mature his feelings for her has been ever since Ye Hua realized his love for Bai Qian. Yang Mi also beautifully performed the multiple characters she had in the series, so as rest of the leads and supporting characters.

The negatives about this series in the CGI quality and, to some extend, the lack of variation in costume. I would have enjoyed the series more if the CGI were more mature and the costumes were not so monotonous. Other than that, there wasn't really much things to complain about regarding this series. If I rewatch this series, I'd love to see only Ye Hua and Bai Qian's romantic times after Ye Hua he discovered Bai Qian is Su Su. All in all, it was a series worth watching, I would highly recommend it ^_^

Okay, it’s official! This is my favorite drama of all time. Words cannot describe how much I loooove this drama, but I will do my best!

The story:
The story itself is controversial because there is a plagiarism issue about it. That’s why I had to knock a star off, but how the script writers presented the drama was very well done. I think I’ve seen all the material about this story (manga, drama, book) but I like this interpretation best because It had a totally different tone than the book itself. It shows the perspective of both leads not just Bai Qian (heroine).

Acting/Cast
OMG! The cast was epic! Yang Mi and Mark Chao blew me away with their incredible chemistry and acting. All the supporting cast did a very impressive job. I have to admit even though I totally hate her character, Maggie Huang(Su Jin) was great. Where did they get such an outstanding cast?! How can they cry at a drop of a hat?! And please do not get me started on Mark Chao’s acting skills. He just made my love for Western acting just silly.
Whoever pooled the cast together should be given an award!

Music:
I just downloaded the songs so enough said! They were all that good to listen to!

Rewatch Value:
Let me put it this way, I’ve already rewatched it five times and am still not tired of it! How am I going to recover fron this epic drama?!????

Overall:
Drop everything and just watch it. I’m not a fan of long dramas because I get bored easily  so I watch only korean dramas. This was highly recommended so I decided might as well give it a try. I watched a few episodes and the rest is history . I am now one of the biggest fans of Eternal Love! ??

a good watch, but a bit overhyped

Eternal Love was a decent drama. Just middle of the road. A good watch if you're bored, but nothing spectacular. The issues I had were the two main characters. I honestly just didn't care much for them. The Emperor Dong Hua character, I found myself more interested in him.

Su Su: Mortal identity of Bai Qian. She was extra needy, extra clingy, and cried majority of the time for her man.
Bai Qian: High Goddess in the heavenly realm. She turned into a mean alcoholic in the third act of the drama and she pretty much abandoned her child.
Si Yin: Alias of Bai Qian when she was the disciple of Mo Yuan. Essentially she was a teacher's pet who got a free pass because the teacher had feelings for her.

Mo Yuan: He was okay, but not really memorable.
Ye Hua: I didn't like how he treated Su Su once she was in heaven and when he reunited with Bai Qian, he just turned into a simpering love struck fool.

This drama is totally a must watch.
This is my second time watching Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, and it´s the only drama I´ve rewatched. This time I could appreciate the story a lot more. Even if at the very beginning the plot can be a bit confusing and the real interesting thing starts with Ye Hua, the characters can make all seem worth of your whole attention, there no time to get bored abut this drama.
I think the only thing that was missing for me was getting more of Qing Cang, he had a really high value as a villain.
As for the acting, Mark Chao totally get me into his character, I could feel empathy about his feelings, when I saw him crying I also wanted to cry, and his beautiful smile was just stunning. Yang Mi as Bai Qian and Susu is also great, you can feel her weakness, her suffering, her hapiness, her evolution. The other actors are also great, specially Xuan Nu and Su Jin because they can really make you hate them.
The music is lovely and still my fav music score for a drama, the OST songs are aso great, especially the ending song.
The scenography and costumes are simply amazing, all seems so real and lovely and visually stunning.
I will defitely re-watch this drama in the future, for me is the kind of story that makes you want to see again and again, too difficult to overcome.

The best chinesse drama I have watched so far. Great acting especially Mark Zhao! I become a fangirl. He expressed his emotions through his eyes, you can feel his sadness at happiness just by watching him. Thanks for creating this awesome drama. I have been looking for this kind of fantasy romance drama and I'm so glad I've found Ten Miles of Peach Blossom.. Very well potrayal of their character. I'm rewatching it again and again even the behind the scenes. 10/10 ratings for me. Music and costume are one of the best. Hope to see Mark and Yang Min on their next project.

For Chinese-Fantasy drama first-time watchers, I think Eternal Love (2017) is a good series to start delving upon on because it definitely shows how different C-dramas can be from other Asian dramas when it comes to fantasy.

-Story-
One of the features that made me interested into watching this drama was the uniqueness of the story in which captivated me to keep on watching episode per episode even until I finish the drama.

Although the story is complicated, I found it understandable and thought the story flows well and clear. Each characters had different personalities and stories so there is a variety of favorite characters to look forward to, whether it'll be the main leads or the support characters.

Another aspect that I liked was the main leads and support characters had enough screen time and that the support characters also had a fair share of their stories so that the drama itself does not solely focused on the main leads.

-Acting/Casting-
I think that everyone played their role beautifully and brought their character's stories and feelings to life. I ended up loving the love teams of both main characters (Yang Mi and Ye Hua) and support characters (Feng Jui and Dong Hua, Yan Zhi and Zi Lan).

I think that everyone shone in their own way and no one out-shined other characters because they all did well into portraying their characters. You could feel the sadness and the pain that Si Yin / Su Su / Bai Qian (same individuals but different lifetimes) encountered every time her loved ones passes away and how she's destined to experienced this fate.

Moreover, you'll also feel the happiness and excitement whenever Feng Jiu and Dong Hua scenes comes on.

As well as anger at Su Jin for bullying Su Su (mortal version of Si Yin/Bai Qian), which is nice in a good way because it means that she [Su Jin] played her character as a antagonist really well.

-Music-
I loved the OST of this drama, especially [Song: Disappointment]. Although, I watched this drama last year, the OST still lingers in my mind and I still listen to it every time I wash the dishes xD

I'll definitely watch this drama again!

The story was very good, although the story could have been shorter. It could have been like 50 episodes, I think that Bai Fengjiu and Dong Hua Dijun's love very not necessary. Their love took at least 10 episodes and they have their own show, Eternal Love of Dream. The story was very good, I love Bai Qian's character, and how cute Ah Li is. The show could have been shorter. I only wanted to see Bai Qian and Ye Hua's love story, I didn't care about Bai Fengjiu and Dijin's but they just had to added it in there, when they have their own show. I have seen Eternal Love of Dream and it was not very good.

If I were Bai Qian, right after jumping down Zhuxian Terrance, the first thing I would do is go get my eyes back from Su Jin, I don't understand why she didn't do that in the first place. There were also a lot of boring parts in the show but it had a very good storyline. Another thing that made no sense was, Bai Qian is 140,000 and Ye Hua is 70,000 because after Mo Yuan died, Ye Hua was born, which they had to wait 70,000 years to reseal the bell. Bai Qian says she's 90,000 years older than Ye Hua which made no sense cause 90,000+70,000 does not equal 140,000. I don't know if it was a mistake or they meant it on purpose.

I cannot stop rewatching it and searched high and low for fan fics to satisfy my craving. I have watched so so so many dramas, including Chinese, Taiwanese, Korean, Japanese, and while there are many that impressed me, this one is my absolute favorite to the point of obsession.

There has never been any other drama that could touch my heart so deeply, despite having fantasy elements. No matter how many times I rewatched this show, i laughed and cried with the characters each times. This drama has really set my expectation so high that I have not been able to bring myself to finish any other drama ever since, as everything else seems lacking compared to this

So let me list out the reasons why I love this drama so much

Superb Acting

- The acting in this drama is truly top-notch and the main reason why it is so special. And no matter how many times I re-watched it, the acting still blew me away and i shed tears for our characters each time. Yang Mi and Mark Chao delivered a phenomenal performance. Yang is great as usual and was able to depict the ethereal air of a goddess. but Mark Chao, omg Mark Chao truly made the drama. You know how usually in Chinese drama there are pretty characters but their acting are nothing exactly special? Mark Chao is the exact opposite of that. At first i was not impressed with Mark Chao because he doesnt have the "pretty boy" look you usually see with Chinese male leads (*cough Yang Yang cough). However, his acting is the best I have ever seen in any drama. His eyes were so emotive and with just one look he can express so many emotions - pain, regret, guilt, jealousy, love, etc, without needing a single word. There is a behind-the-scence extra on Youtube showing a scence where he did something very traumatic to our female leads, and after that you can see him standing silently on-set crying by himself because he was just that affected by the emotions of his character. I was so moved by his performance that he became my favorite actor and i seeked out his other works. i have never done this with any other actors. I think he is one of the greatest Taiwanese actors of his generation.

2. RATIONAL, RELATABLE AND LIKABLE CHARACTERS

- I cannot stress this enough - I hate it when the main female lead is overly stupid and naive or "pure" and get harmed and put oneself's in harm way over and over. I hate characters who are too perfect and seem to have everyone heads over heels for them also. Every character design in this show is done just right, and I am gonna dive into my 2 favorite which are our hero and heroine of the story

2.a Yehua by Mark Chao

- I absolutely hate male characters who are idiots and get tricked by other female villains into misunderstanding the female lead. there is none of that here. Yehua is from start to finish, unwaveringly only love Baiquan and trusted her. because he loves so deeply and passionately, he makes mistakes, and he has to pay dearly for them. He is by no mean a perfect characters, he has good looks, can fight and a good leader, but he also made some erroneous judgement calls. However, he is smart and insightful and inquisitive and do not take things at face value which frustrates me about many other dramas. He never once felt for the schemes of others. and Mark Chao did a phenomenal job showing all his good sides and his shortcoming and how he grew from it. Character development is real and very enjoyable in this drama. Further more, he never hesitates to express his love for Bai Qian, which is a refreshing change as compared to many other constipated characters which makes me want to die because there is never any progress in their romance (* cough* Princess Agent* cough)

In short, by the end of the drama, i am already head over heels for Yehua by Mark Chao. omg what a dreamy man.

2.b Bai Qian/SuSu/SiYin by YangMi

- Yang Mi portrayed Su Su and Bai Qian so well i can fell the softness and shyness of Su Su and the confidence and experience and haughtiness of Bai Qian. Again, a female lead that doesnt make me want to tear my hair out. No exaggerated "coyness", naiveness, "pureness" - just a person of complex and relatable emotions. The character she plays does not take being bullied from anyone, stand up for herself and her loved one, are smart, loyal, capable, and so funny. She kicks butts and will not tolerate betrayal, and stays true to her words, and treat everyone very fairly. I freaking love her! She is also an alcoholic haha and drink her sorrow away which makes her very relatable. Her journey to grow from a mischievous Siyin to high Goddess Bai Qian is really worth watching, as well as her journey to deal with the demons of her past to ready to open up and love again is seriously one of the best character development in drama,

3. The story

- Beside the obvious fact that this is an adaptation from a very famous novel. the story makes me laugh and cried and dream and have my emotions all over the place. The story makes me wants to find an everlasting love that spans several lifetime. This story really warms people's hearts. I also love how loyal and unwavering and real and genuine the affections each characters have for their loved ones are in this drama, from bai Qian/yehua to supporting characters such as Moyuan, Feng Jiu/Dong Hua... The story has its ups/ and downs and its' heart breaks. I have never wanted to be so fully emerge in a story and never wanted to leave. through three lives, three worlds, they only loved one another and overcame every obstacles to finally come together. A happy ending after so much tragedy is really satisfying as well. I just wish we got to see more happy family scenes and more of my Yehua.

4. The Chemistry and Sexisness

- OMG this show is such a breath of fresh air compared to the traditional well-constrained Asian dramas. There are plenty of kiss scenes to satisfy your romance-craving heart and when the two main characters kiss, omg they kiss with so much passion and chemistry. those are melt-in-your-arm, biting-your-lift, pulling-your-hair kind of kiss which is so so so different from the traditional "eyes-wide-open-accidental-kiss" that i absolutely hate. I love that the boys and girls in this shows are so unabashedly lustful and desiring toward one another. <3<3<3

For those who have never seen it, please be patient with it at fist because Ep 1 - 11 set the background and back-story for the main story arc which begins arc episode 13-14. Everything from love to hate just develop very very fast after that.

Better than Ashes of Love, for sure to me

So after I finished Ashes of Love, I had to write the review for that, then writing one for this because its my favorite out of them both. So first off, be mindful about immortals in this world, its not god that can not die. Immortals in this world or so to say the asian world, is pretty much human with powers and doesn't get sick illness and die unless poisoned or physical/mentally hurt/injured. I was initially turned off by understanding immortals that love each other, having kids succeeding them, but that was thrown out right after I finished the first story arc of Su Yin. The story really picks up after Su Yin becomes Bai Qian not long after, the addiction of having to stay up all night watching it, you guys know the feel. The mortal trial isn't that long compare to Ashes of Love because it continues where she enters the immortal world with the ML still as a mortal. This arcs basically showcase jealousy and plan/plot to harm FL with misunderstanding from ML, the only angst I believe I felt and encounter, but a good one, not the kind that pisses you off with plotholes but non the less to say it is not. It continues to draw you in like glue when Bai Qian return to immortal and addiction continues to the end. Watch this show now, and tell me if you agree with me. Anyways, enjoy your time while out in this virus days.

This is the only drama that I've watched three times. That's how much I loved it. But I'll keep my review simple and easy to read, instead of reading long paragraphs.

+1 Amazing Cast (No one can play a better Yehua)
+1 Beautiful & Befitting Music (music really set the tone/stage for this drama, went along with the theme, plot, and brought out the story altogether, without the music, or music in general, it would be hard to make successful dramas, good music is what draws people emotions and imaginations)
+1 Romance Action (more like +100, at first you're like where's all the real action? Just wait and keep watching, you WON'T be disappointed. Trust me on this one. It'll creep up on you and surprise you out of nowhere)
+1 Beautiful & Eloquent Clothes Set
+1 Strong, Creative and Complex Story Plot
+1 Set (pretty good for a fantasy drama for the most part)
+1 Relationship Build
+1 Character Build (except for the relationship between Moyuan and Siyin. It kind of came out of no where, like what? huh? They had a close mentor/mentee relationship? Didn't see that but since everyone said so then okay...)
+1 Strong Side Character Stories (Feng Qiu's side story was kind of redundant and annoying but they made the story interesting and impactful at the end)
+1 Good Ending

Cons?
- Fighting action could have been better and "floating/flying" scenes were average and very noticeable
- Like most dramas in general, some dragging parts that take forever with your typical mellow characters, but the story eventually picks itself up. Can't avoid that one.
-Some people will have a hard time liking the male lead at first but don't worry, he'll draw you in when you least expect it.

Before you read my review, please know that this might very well be my favorite TV series next to Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I love love love the show, Eternal Love: Ten Miles of Peach Forest. There is nothing I do not love about this show. This was the very first C-drama I experienced and what a roller-coaster ride. From the gorgeous costumes and scenery to the cadre of wonderful characters, it was brilliant. And can I say that hair was over the top, practically a character of its own? The relationships, the villains, and the love stories were entertaining and kept me interested.

The story begins with Bai Qian, youngest and only daughter of the Fox King. A family friend, Zhe Yan disguises her as a boy and takes her to be a disciple with High God Mo Yuan, who knows right away she is a girl. She is adventurous, mischievous, and drinks way too much, despite that, she develops loyal and strong relationships with her new adopted brothers and Mo Yuan. From there, the story gets more epic with battles, a destructive bell (because all bells are dooms day machines?), a shattered soul, mortal trials, a very jealous woman, and a whole separate love story between her niece and the oldest (youngest looking) character in the heavens.

Mark Chao and Yang Mi did a fabulous job keeping me focused and interested in the story. I love strong women characters and Yang Mi nailed it with Bai Qian, making us love her even more as we watched her grow from Si Yin, to the mortal Su Su, and finally a high goddess. Mark Chao….hmmmm, I could talk about him for another six paragraphs. To keep it short, I’ll say Mark Chao’s Mo Yuan and Ye Hua characters were so captivating that by the end of episode 50, you wanted both to end up with Bai Qian.

There are friendships between many of the characters that carry the story through the episodes where the story might drag. The supporting cast was wonderful, and I am eagerly anticipating the Pillow Book sequel to find out what happens to the relationship between Feng Jiu and Dong Hua (sigh…it had better be a happy ending). Some of my favorite relationships in the show: the friendship between Zhe Yan and Bai Zhen, the brother/brother(sister) rivalry between Zi Lan and Si Yin, Si Yin and all his/her disciple brothers, Si Ming and Feng Jiu’s friendship, Zi Lan and Yan Zhi’s romance, this list is endless. If you have the time, take a week or two and binge watch. I hope you will find the show as fun as I did.
