"Go Ho's Starry Night" is the kind of romcom you can binge in one day, which was exactly what I was looking for, and exactly what I did. The story is lighthearted, and the episodes are super short, which is how this drama stays entertaining when there isn't much to the plot.

The drama centers around Go Ho, played by Kwon Yoo Ri, who's work life and love life become one big mess when her mean boss has her moved to another team where her ex boyfriend will be her new boss. (AWKWARD!) I thought Yoo Ri was ok in the role, but Go Ho is supposedly a super aggressive and impulsive character, which I don't feel like she was able to pull off. She was likable enough to keep me interested, but not a standout leading lady. The character also analyzes everything with a star value system, which was cute at times, but honestly didn't add much to the plot.

To me, the real MVP of this drama is Kim Young Kwang's smile as the "mean" boss. Even though the mean boss is a kdrama romance staple, there's always the danger of coming across as too abusive and dysfunctional. That's not the case here, and I even feel like maybe his temper didn't seem bad enough to warrant his reputation. His chemistry with Yoo Ri is also the highlight of the show, and I think that is also thanks to his smile. There were enough cute moments to give me exactly what I was looking for in a rom com, although without much depth. My one petty complaint is that he was in desperate need of chapstick for the majority of the show.

The rest of the characters range from quirky and funny to just bland and average. Most characters are played to a stereotype, so don't look for much depth there either. There are also a lot of fun, and very random, cameos in this drama.

The story was least impressive part of this drama. It was predictable, simplistic, repetitive, and definitely cliché, but because the episodes are so short it was just enough to keep me interested, and keep me watching. I did think some of the subplots were unnecessary, like the rivalry with her weird brother, which I just didn't get. I also hated the random guy who harassed the female staff. The office drama was funny at times, but there was nothing really interesting about what they were doing. I wish they spent more time building up the ex boyfriend character, so that he would be a much stronger second lead. Instead he had no real chemistry with Go Ho, so it made his character pretty bland.

Overall I liked this drama, even if my rating may seem pretty low. I found it looking for a romcom similar to "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim", which I am currently watching, and I can see why this one was recommended. If you are in a very romcom mood, but don't have the time to commit to a major drama, I would definitely recommend this. Think of it like a drama snack, not a full meal.

I can't give it 5 stars, but even an imperfect drama can be the perfect one to watch sometimes.

I keep seeing the word "bingeworthy" being thrown around concerning this drama, and I couldn't agree more. This is such a sweet, zippy little story that doesn't take itself too seriously, and each of the 20-minute episodes seem to fly by.

The plot isn't anything wildly groundbreaking, building steadily up to the promised full out reverse harem. But despite the formulaic structure, the drama itself is written cleverly. It's funny and enjoyable to watch, and the plots and characters have so much heart.

The drama does a pretty phenomenal job of making you fall in love with Kim Young Kwang as Kang Tae Ho, all gangly legs and pining heart. But to be honest, my breakaway favorite character/cast member was Go Ho herself, Kwon Yoo Ri. Despite somewhat falling into the tired trope of the neurotic female romantic lead, she manages to infuse the character with enough emotional resonance that she doesn't feel like a clown or a caricature. The plotlines with her brother and mother in particular were moving.

The music was so cute! I'm going to go look for the OST after this.

In terms of rewatchability, this drama is pretty up there for me. It's fun and breezy, and it's a rare entry in the reverse harem genre that manages to walk the fine line between slightly self-indulgent camp and too awkwardly over-the-top. If that's something you'd enjoy, then I definitely recommend this drama.

Little Gem

Short and sweet. This was a mini series with very short episodes but it was really amazing. There were some scenes that I watched several times because it was just that funny. It is honestly a really cute and sweet series. There are a few heartfelt moments within it with tons of laughs. I highly recommend this if you’re looking for something short and sweet to watch especially if you’re in need of a good laugh. It was that good.

I highly recommend this for anyone who is looking for something short and sweet to watch. You’re most certainly smile, swoon and laugh at the same time.

If you wanting something to smile. Watch this drama.

It's a cute and funny drama. Besides that, because it's a short drama, they don't overextend the plots of the drama. The chemistry is on point, she has chemistry with both the main and the supporting actor, she even have chemistry with her junior in the company. The romance is well-developed. and they don't left stories unfinished. Also, her personal story is also well-developed. It's a good drama to watch when you are bored, or just don't want to think about anything. I strongly recommend this.

Wow! I just literally finished watching this 5 minutes ago and I can surely state that this is hands down my favorite drama at the moment. I was longing for a super cute and romantic series and this was the best decision to watch it right away!

To begin with, I'm quite sad that this is a short web drama. On the other hand, I'm not quite sure if it would've been more enjoyable if it was a full length TV drama. The creators are brilliant since they managed to squeeze every ounce of the major plot details, important scenes and humor into 20 episodes. The time flew by super fast while watching this, so you know it must be good. I couldn't stop thinking about the characters and their relationship every time I left my apartment! This drama also made me daydream a lot. Dramas that make a huge impact on me are highly appreciated and kept in my heart forever! Yes, the relationships. The main couple had some serious chemistry. Any time they were shown on the screen together, I was dying from excitement and adorableness. Honestly, my heart even skipped a beat once or twice. This was my first drama starring Kim Young Kwang and I instantly fell in love with this actor! Seriously, I admire how he managed to pull of that tsundere character so well. Other actors too, I've seen some of them before playing completely different characters so it was nice to see them transform into something new. The music was very fitting as well, especially that one song from the OST called "Candy Star". Overall, a drama worth rewatching 110%!

These are the type of dramas I like best - with amazing chemistry, comedy and romance floating all around! Trust me, you'll be hooked on the first episode and you won't regret watching it!

This drama made me laugh so much!! XD It's was really cute and funny, I just couldn't stop watching :D Correct me if I'm wrong but I think I heard only one song/soundtrack in this drama, which I found strange but I didn't mind it cause it was placed in the perfect scenes (if you know what I mean). This isn't really a serious drama but it had its moments, not to mention how satisfied I was with who she ends up with

Hard to believe:

I wonder if this story represents the usual relationship between women and men in Korea? Do the women act so intimidatingly reserved and the men so shamelessly harassing?

We see sexual harassment in this show, forcible kisses, to assaultive touching, to sleazy requests for sexual intercourse. Rejections from women are ignored at best. Is this the way it is in Korea?

Harassing women at work, even repeatedly asking them to have sexual intercourse, would mean summary dismissal in the West.

Guys ignore that you hate them, dislike them, loathe them, don't want to be harassed, but women's opinions don't matter.
That must be exhausting for women, constantly fending off assaultive behavior in addition to work.

It may be a comedy, however it comes across as pretty weird in parts! Much of it is annoying and not funny. This includes the "candidate" scoring and haggling over FL. and other ridiculous, adolescent competitive behavior.
At least the story has lighter moments, especially in the second half, and the actors do well. Still, the ending is quite stale and disappointing.

The high point was Kim Young Kwang

Cute show. Very strong performance by Kim Young Kwang. The I loved how they revealed that he's loved her for a long time. That silent watching her, getting hopeful, then living through her being involved with someone else. He was the epitome of strong silent type. He's so serious, but when a smile breaks out, wowza! The thought of five men that were so different fighting over her was totally unrealistic. I was also bothered by the fact that she was so wishy washy. Seriously, the boyfriend broke up with you without a reason and you still consider him in the running?!?! No way! Happy ending, walking away hand in hand. Basically one kiss, but it was a good one!

Go Ho's plot is quite simple: a young, independent woman's struggles to keep a balance between her professional goals and her love life. The action is set mainly at her job place, and the relationships are mostly between her and her boss and coworkers.
In the end, she reaches maturity in both areas: she gets to know her coworkers better, breaking the barriers that lead to creating certain stereotypes, and she gets over her broken heart and starts a new love relationship. That's, summing up, the whole story.

Its main achievements are basically in the way the story is told. I guess it's innovative in that aspect. First of all, the series is divided in 4 episodes of 60min each, although you can watch it in its 20 episodes / 20 min. format and binge on it just like I did.

All in all it's nice to watch, everybody can relate to this modern story and its characters, who are just average people and not the clichés Korean dramas have us used to.
It's well cast, although I'm not particularly fond of Kwon Yu Ri. Actually, my favourite performance was by Lee Ji Hoon, Go Ho's ex-boyfriend and cute Shin Jae Ha, her cheeky playboy co-worker.

This drama didn't leave a huge impact on me, to be honest. Not because of the simplicity of the story, because Reply 1988 or Reply 1997 had simple plotlines and they're two of my favourite dramas. I don't know, it's something completely subjective, I guess. But since it's short, it's lighthearted, well-paced and well-done, I really recommend it.

Might be my favorite drama

Very pleasantly surprised by this series! But if you have triggers with sexual harassment, this is not for you baby.

I can't say it's a 10 in regards of story because they didn't kill harasser kim, otherwise I loved it! Never before had I seen such a strong wilded and sure of herself heroine before (when it comes to romance). I hate when they get pushed around all the time thinking that sexual harassment is somehow affection or get stuck like deers in headlights when they have intimacy happen.

Go Ho is nothing like that. She tells you to go fuckyourself if she feels hurt or just straight up suckerpunches you in the face. She's not afraid to cherish people and truly seem to understand what are healthy relationships and how many different types of relationships there are.

I need also to say, if someone told me the sun is actually Young Kwang's smile and we just don't notice because he's so damn tall... I'd believe them. His smile is so bright I'm sure one day he'll blind me. Love this lightpost of a man ♡
