The actors did a fairly good job with each of their parts. The name "Thomas" for one of the lead characters seemed really strange while the other was "Ai Fei". It just seemed so out of place to me. Other than that, the acting isn't the worse I have seen. The characters were true to their roles but a warning to those who watch the CUT version, they got rid of most of the BL scene between Thomas and Ai Fei (disappointing me to no end).
The music that accompanied the movie was kinda weak. The emotional scenes that were accompanied with the piano made me really get into that mood. However, most of the scenes don't even have background music and I think if it did, I would have enjoyed it better, it would have built tension or expressed the mood better.
I watched the CUT version and I realize (and regret it) now because all the scene I have been looking forward to was nowhere to be found. I was so mad. I can't wait til I can re-watch it but this time, the UNCUT version. It looks like they spent all their money on the intro because the visual effects are really weak but not so much that it was un-watchable. The fighting scenes as well, they were not the worse I have seen but they were definitely not the best.
Overall, I recommend you watch this but don't expect too much on the ending. I really want a sequel because this movie didn't answer all my questions and is kinda open-ended.

Is it the best BL movie you're ever going to see? If you only watch pretty bad ones or average ones, then yes, this one's certainly not bad - but I'm not going to claim it's the best one out there.
Does this movie have the greatest special effects in the world? Absolutely not. Far from it, actually. The effects were meh to just plain ol' bad. It's obvious that they didn't have the biggest budget for the CGI, but they worked with what they had and it worked out okay.
There are some things this movie does do very well which make it a very enjoyable watch. The story, for one, is rather original and throughout the movie, they just keep throwing new stuff at you so it doesn't get boring at all. Whenever I thought, "Ah, this is getting a bit bland...", the movie was like *Bam! More plot!* (and by plot, I mean actual plot... and also really great BL scenes if you can find the uncut version).
The chemistry between our main characters was also pretty great. Like I said, if you manage to find the uncut version or you watch the cut version and find the cut scenes online (I found some on facebook of all places!) and watch them at roughly the right moment, your itching for BL will be scratched. There was a lot of wholesome and unwholesome content. Bless the creators and actors, seriously.
Overall, I can honestly say that it was a good movie, not the best, but good enough. Original, great chemistry, music was okay (in the version I watched, the sound kind of faded in and out of existence so I couldn't really pay it that much attention), try to find the uncut version!

Well, that happened.
I saw the uncut version on GagaOOLala.I really wanted to like this - and at first I did. The selfie scene at the beginning is profoundly funny, and the OTT campy action early on is really entertaining. But then it just bogged down and became dull. For some reason, Asian BLs can't help themselves - they all have to revolve around women, in this case a pair of vampire hunters who serve as mannequin villains, who take up way too much screen time. They could have been completely eliminated from the story and the struggle centered on rival vampire clans. I presume there was a producer somewhere who read the script and said "too gay. Put in hot chicks" as if crowds of straight men are going to watch this.
It is definitely BL, and it's not read-between-the-lines-of-bromance - it's explicitly BL. But it's not prominent. If you're planning to watch it for that, I would pass.
This was disappointing. Maybe it's worth watching the first 20 minutes or so for the campy fun, but after that there's not a lot of reward for your time. It needed to cut loose and go seriously OTT. It feels a little like that was the plan, and for some reason th brakes were hit. It's too bad this wasn't Japanese.

AND oh my god. I just realized they didn't kiss. what a shame. I need fan fictions now lmao. What's good to know is that the movie is realllllyy not concentrated on the sex/kiss relationship. There's actually a great background story that is absolutely amazing.?

Surprisingly good
Okay for 2016, I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. The story towards the end had me at the edge of my seat from the plot twists, it also had me laughing at times. The chemistry between the main leads was great, I loved every second of them together. I've been looking for something set in a world of Fantasy and honestly it did not disappoint. I definitely reccomend it to anyone looking for BL mixed with the Supernatural/ Fantasy world. The ending leaves it to your imagination what happens next, so it's not a straightforward sad or happy ending, keep that in mind so you won't be disappointed.Was this review helpful to you?

Stumbled upon this awhile back and due to the rating I was skeptical to watch, but I eventually gave in. It was a fight through some of this, honestly. Graphics gave me severe trauma and the sound effects were off by several seconds. It was a pretty tacky and campy throughout the whole movie, but there were some random cute and quirky parts too. This movie is rolled into the good, bad and the ugly category. Not something I'd recommend (even to a Vampire fan). I know it sounds like an oxymoron, but if you can get past all of this, there's actually a decent story that obviously would've been so much better with the proper everything.The ending has me wanting a continuation...kinda

Tão ruim que fica bom
O problema não são os efeitos especiais, o visual ou a trilha sonora é a execução mesmo, o filme é tão ruim que se torna engraçado e aí se torna bom, é claro que se você assistir não se limitando ao entretenimento que o filme dar e sim como uma sátira qualquer, existe um ângulo e um ponto de vista no qual o filme é bom sim. Os atores são lindos e atuam bem, é a história que é o problema, é uma mistura de crepúsculo com the vampire diaries só que ruim.
