This drama was an absolute pain to watch.
Boring, messy, confusing with an extremely lacking story, sadly neither Nam Joo Hyuk beauty saved this drama. The main actress was plain, boring and didn't have a decent facial expression in 16 hours of the show, the second actress made a slightly better work ( the witch/psychologist or whatever she was) but really, even the secondary cast was boring and sometimes extremely over-exaggerated...
The story was actually good, but the cast was poorly directed, sometimes they repeated the same scene over and over again, the only one that I've liked was the person who was covered in water, it was the only thrilling thing that made me finish this show. Absolutely no worth the whole time to watch it...

A beautiful surprise!

Almost passed off this kdrama because of the unfair reviews and cheezy 1st episode! Both main leads and the short 16 episodes kept me watching and it became an addictive love story that I had to finish within 2 waking days! A simple modern day love story, complicated when it happens between a human and a Water God who's destined to be King in the Divine realm. The sweet chemistry of the pretty FL and the handsome ML with sprinkles of quirkiness, fun & tissue moments made this enduring, romantic fantasy story almost believable and entertaining. A refreshing story without the all to popular revenge and idiotic gibberish. After watching 3 long historical dramas this was a delightful eyewash!

After watching Weightlifting Fairy, I tried to find other series of Nam Joo Hyuk and I got into this one. At first, I enjoyed watching since this series is kind of Romantic Comedy. But when I am already in the middle of the episodes, I got bored. I waited for some action scenes since they were deities but I got nothing. I still finished the entire episode but I'll definitely not gonna watch it again.

I thought Habaek will confront CEO Shin and will discuss their conflicts, but I did not see any of that. The ending was also boring.

I didn't expect a lot but I was still disappointed. There were parts that could've been introduced in the earlier episodes but it was only revealed in the last episode. The execution was bad.

It's so dragging it makes you wonder why a particular scene was shown only as the show was about to end. You could probably understand the story by just watching recaps of it. You would ask yourself "why did this happen only now?" "this should've happened earlier!" things like that.

Do not watch this if you don't want to waste your time. I myself am surprised i was able to watch until the 14th episode. The OST was actually good.

I had to drop this drama, unfortunately. I was so excited when I first heard the plot, fantasy is my favorite genre and it seemed to interesting, just like Goblin. Even though I dropped it, I think the story/plot had a lot of potential but the writers just could not do it. The scenes are boring and predictable. The fantasy in this is very minimal. A problem with the cast is that the acting skills are not on the level that the fantasy genre requieres. I think is character was too much for Nam Joo Hyuk but I think he has a lot potential. He just needs to sharpen his acting skills. The drama lacks those iconic songs that make scenes special that the audience loves. I'm really disappointed with this drama since I had big expectations.

I think the supporting characters kind of ruin this episode. I like the main actor/actress. I don't know why people think the main actress is annoying I think other actresses are more annoying in Korean dramas like the one in my love from the moon or goblin, (the main actress in goblin is so childish) couldn't stand them so I dropped those one. The reason I am dropping this one is because it's getting draggy and boring. I also like the music but it's not enough to make me stay. Maybe I'll watch it again in the future

This show in my honest opinion was a big let down for me. This story and show in general had so much potential. However, there were 2 HUGE flaws.

1. The lack of chemistry between the main leads was not only a shame but it was very apparent too. Honestly Nam Joo Hyuck's acting was great in this drama, defo not one of his best. But Shin Se Kyung felt quite inexperienced and her acting was very inconsistent. Some moments were great but others made it seem like she was a first time Idol Actress which her previous works clearly state otherwise.

2. The story was interesting at first but by episode 6 it dragged and honestly it was a chore to finish (which I didn't even manage to do). The fact that Habaek kept losing his powers even after getting them back when saving the female lead from falling off a building was utter bs in my opinion. I purely decided to watch this drama due to the idea of such a potent character falling in love and using all of his powers to save her. And I very much misunderstood and only felt disappointed from there on.

HOWEVER, the second lead couple were a breath of fresh air in the drama and I began to anticipate when Krystal and Gong Myung appeared on screen. Also the acting of the antagonist was pretty well done.

This was the 3rd kdrama I watched ever and it was the first disappointment I felt from the kdrama world.

I liked the story as I tend to like that kind of theme. I liked the main actors very much as they put in a good performance as well as the leading actress. Just sorry that it was not so popular with other viewers. I have gone back to rewatch it and second time round enjoyed it even more.

I've barely finish watching this drama. Too early for me to say anything. I've seen numbers of people who already watched this drama and they're not happy with this drama. In other word, a complete DISAPPOINTMENT.

One thing that annoys me about this drama is when Habaek (Nam Joo Hyuk) keep boasting himself about being the God. I thought he already made it clear about it since first episode. Apart from that, the rest is just fine.

This is what I think - the drama is almost fine. It's not that all bad. For me, I just think that there can be someone else who can play as Habaek. I don't think it suits Nam Joo Hyuk that well. It doesn't give the right vibe if anyone know what I mean. I don't know how to put into words. I think Nam Joo Hyuk took the challenge to play a character that is different than any of his previous roles. That's very daring of him, I would say.

I was not all disappointed with this drama. Even if other actor took the role as Habaek, probably the reception of the drama can be just about the same. The question is, who is suitable for the role? Or what can be better?

However, I've seen quite a lot of familiar faces in the drama, which is surprising. As usual, the one actor whom I always watch play as the bad guy is back being the bad guy in this drama. That one never fail to impress me. He did it good. Its never been easy to play as a bad guy.

Finally, I've completed watching this series. Well, this series could be better. I realized after a while that Moo Ra's character is so bossy although she meant well for the sake of Habaek and Bi Ryeom. Anyway, its pretty good.

If Goblin brought you here, then don't expect too much from this drama, because you will be disappointed. The cast is amazing, everyone knew their places. I think that for this kind of story there are too many episodes, 10 episodes would have been more than enough. I can't say more, because there is nothing much to say. I enjoyed it, i have cried just one time. I suggest you, if you are planning to watch this drama, watch it when you have more free time. I hope this review will help you.

I had a lot of expectations for this drama, but chuck it, I found nothing good about it, except that the cast are visual stunners.
The leads have absolutely no chemistry together, and it was painful to watch them. Shin Se Kyung was just mediocre, and Nam Joo Hyuk seriously has more talent than that.
Overall, the greatest disappointment of 2017.

This one showed such great promise at the start but in the end it fell a bit short to be honest.

I liked the story but as it goes on and they start to go deeper it kinda gets all over the place and loses the grip on viewers.
The main couple were good on what they had to work with but honestly i didn’t feel a strong spark between them, was more of a strong friendship than 2 people who fall in love and can't live without the other.
I dunno, maybe i’m being picky but to me there was something missing between them, no passion in their eyes when they were together and looking at each other and even in the romantic scenes i didn’t felt that spark, that little itch that tells you WOW i wanted to be in her shoes right now!

Like i said, they had such a good thing going on, a really interesting story but then it lacked character development and growth and the most important thing for me the lack of consistency.
And when telling a love story, the small details count a lot, how they touch each other, how they stare into each other eyes and a well acted kiss too (i’m not even gonna mention skinship because that is not the most important thing here) but those things all together make up the chemistry between the actors and make the scenes look more “real” and natural, it's what makes you feel butterflies in the bottom of your stomach but sadly i have to say i didn’t feel them in this drama.

Aside that, it is still a good drama to watch and it had great potencial to be something trully epic and whoosh away the audience.
I do still recomend it, watch it because it has good watch value and the actors did a good job in keeping the boat afloat.
