I was thinking I'm gonna like because I am a Shawol, Minho is my bias and I love Sulli, but...
Story: Wasn't original, but that's not the point.
Jae Hee reasons to move to South Korea are vague, flat and childish. "He made me believe", "I wanna see him jump again", "He gave me force". Just no.
The side stories are kinda off, the interesting ones received a bad development and a rushed solution.
Acting/Cast: I was expecting more from Minho. In my opinion, he wasn't able to transit in the character. Wasn't a good transition between angry, sad or happy Tae Joon. Was just too abrupt.
Sulli was avarage, I don't know...
Gyeol's actor was amazing, outstanding, I love him.
There is no chemistry between the main couple. I feel bad for it.
Music: I love SM music, but was just too much for me this time.

The flop between tough and soft was sort of lost because Minho seems soft but he held the part well for the most part.
I preferred this version better to the Japanese version because the pacing was easier to follow and there were a lot less subplots going on. With the main plot and maybe one or two others, it was easy to follow and tied in together nicely. In the Japanese version each episode was like watching a different spin-off of the original series.
Both are very good though, I just preferred this one.

Nostalgia!
It's not the best quality since it's over a decade old, but I love the actors so much. The OST is also timeless, and if you're a K-Pop fan, it's a must-watch! The story didn't always make a lot of sense, but it was cute. Ultimately, a feel-good drama. I would actually rewatch it due to the nostalgia. Was this review helpful to you?

i watched this show wayy back and it was like the only "sports" kdrama i watched but ... it was interesting i mean it did stress me out at some point. the female lead disguises as a guy to go to an all boys university to convince her idol (who is a professional athlete and is planning on quitting long jumping) to continue his passion or whatever. its kinda crazy cuz when she gets there shes super clingy and she wears this chest compressor and basically causes problems like she passes out and stuff and the entire time ur gonna think shes gonna get caught LMFAOOO its literally like mulan. but 10x worse because the male leads best friend starts thinking hes gay and literally tells the female lead (who he thinks is a guy) that he likes her ...... and then he finds out shes a girl and hes like wtf i was questioning my sexuality for reason i rlly am just straight !!!! it was an okay tv show but i think the 2nd female interest is like a professional ballerina and she was lowkey annoying cuz she thought the female lead (who is supposed to be acting as a guy) was way too close to the male lead like girl .... can u just gtfo !!!! she was one of those obsessed freaks or whatever but anyway it was an okay show the ending wasnt memorable but im pretty sure she gets kicked out of the school and she gets with the male lead or its implied idfk lowkey enjoyable just stressful Was this review helpful to you?
All in all, though, it wasn't bad. It was cute and funny, but I just can't help but compare it to You're Beautiful, and in so doing, it just ends up as lacking.

It is impossible not to compare the different versions (I read the manga and seen both Japanese and Taiwan Drama)
There's no character completely crazy like Oscar (who became Charles obscure reason). There's no figure of Kayashima TT_TT
Looks like the Korean Nakao (sorry I do not even remember the name of Korean characters) are not in love with the Namba Korean but of Korean Nakatsu. This is nonsense!
And I hope that the Korean Umeda (the nurse) is gay. (as he has not yet said when he could already do, it worries me a little)
And there are too many girls in the school (see the end of episode 2)
But there are also good things :
Sulli is so cute!
I want to dorm! (rooms are the size of a room!)
I liked it anyway but you really have to think they did the Korean Hana Kimi. So the most important it will be the story of love and family stories while in the Japanese version that is most important is friendship. Which is quite a shame.
Despite all that, I look forward to see the next episodes. This drama puts me in all my states XD
I like but I'm frustrated ^^

As a good kpopper freaked out watching this drama, besides that history is one of my favorite elements, the girl who dresses as a boy (LOVE)
