This is a drama which I watched immediately after My Girl(which was a drama i REALLY loved). That being said, I didn't like this drama all that much. I mean sure it's a great drama if you are a big fan of Rain, or if you need a drama to pass a boring weekend. It'll provide some laughs and a few tears, but it's just not that special in my opinion. It was rather ordinary. I did like the music though, but overall I just felt like it was a drama that was "ok", rather than absolutely amazing.

If you like watching two attractive people constantly bickering, and teasing each other, while being in total denial about the fact that they are falling in love, this is for you! If you are looking for a complicated plot that's unpredictable, realistic, and original, you've ended up in the wrong place. This is 100% pure cheesy rom com, and I ate it up!

Rain is incredibly cute, and often shirtless, as the stubbornly childish Lee Young Jae. Song Hye Kyo is endearing as the unbelievably naive, and ditzy Han Ji Eun. The first two episodes are filled with totally unrealistic, but pretty amusing, situations that end in a false marriage, and the two leads having to learn to live together. Full House paves the way for many future K-drama clichés, since they work so well in this one (like "Personal Taste", which Is my first K-drama love).

Everything is basically straight from the K-drama RomCom handbook (unrealistic chance encounters, unbelievable coincidence, nursing people back to health, rich vs broke, OCD vs slob, frustrating misunderstandings, running through airports, Hallyu star scandals, love squares... ) and most of it works. The cast is what makes it work so well, and kept the sometimes repetitive moments entertaining. I also think the leads, & their romantic rivals, do show some depth. I loved to hate Han Eun Jung as needy Kang Hye Won. Kim Sung Soo as Yoo Min Hyuk was a little one-note throughout, but still made for an appealing 2nd lead (but those eyebrows???!!!). I really disliked Han Ji Eun's two "best friends" who's audacity was hard to believe, and watch, but I think that is the fault of the writers, not the actors. One of my favorite supporting characters was the grandmother, and I thought the family scenes were really cute.

This drama could have easily been cut a little shorter. They made sure to drag out the banter & bickering to the last possible moments, because they know it's what people like to see from the leads. It's clear, during the last two episodes, that they ran out of story, and that they had to rely heavily on flashbacks to fill the time. The leads do a good job of keeping the chemistry going, so the final moments still have some entertainment value, and I did really like the final moments with the 4 main characters.

If you're in the mood for a love story without any frills, give this one a try. I have already rewatched it, and it doesn't lose it's charm with the 2nd viewing, nor does it feel too dated (just the phones). The soundtrack is also incredibly catchy. For better or worse, I found myself humming the songs to myself.

The key to liking this drama is knowing what to expect. It's a lighthearted innocent romance that's fun to watch if you're in a romcom mood. It's still converting people into drama-addicts for a reason.

Aja, Aja, Fighting!

I really enjoyed this drama and would have liked to have seen more. I thought it was well written, the right mix of secondary characters and a good set. I still wonder if Rain was the best man for the part though, but it can't be changed. I have big expectations for 'Full House 2' but where is it? I havn't heard anything about it recently, but the cast sounds great!

This drama had a good looking cast and a pretty good soundtrack. But I didn't like the relationship between the two leads. The male lead is a good looking celebrity but that still doesn't make up for the fact that he is an absolute jerk towards the female lead. The female protagonist is a little too naive and more forgiving than she should be. This makes you feel sorry for her but frustrated with her at the same time. The only person who is nice to her is the second lead. But he's the second lead and that's a shame. Though Song Hye Ko and Rain had amazing onscreen chemistry the writer messed up what could have been a swoonworthy romance. All the time it's the male lead bickering with the female and there are hardly any romantic moments between the couple. Watch if you like male leads who are extremely cruel towards the female lead. Or dramas where the female lead suffers from Stockholm Syndrome. Or if you are just feeling masochistic.

Granted this drama is old (it Aired 14 years ago) but its hype got the better of me and I caved in: Full house, here I go.
The plot is very simplistic, so simplistic in fact that it becomes repetitive.
Boy does whatever he can to annoy girl, in a very immature way.
They bicker constantly, they fight, shout at each other and this leaves me, the viewer, in quite an unamused and/or uncomfortable position. Am I not supposed to be entertained by a show?
If the show wanted me to sympathize with this couple constantly on each other’s case, and ultimately buy into the fact that they fall in love, they failed miserably.
I came out of this show frustrated and rather annoyed.
I’d rather go to the dentist than watch it again a second time.

Oh boy who said this was a classic?

I would say that this drama is the perfect contender for explaining just how much nostalgia can blind us to the quality of our entertainment. And I`m extremely glad that I didn`t get to watch this in my childhood because now I might be one of those people who herald this drama as a classic. It`s not. A drama I can consider a true classic is "Coffee Prince" for example. A classic for me is supposed to signify something that will never get old, whose message will always beat the concept of time and won`t fall victim to changing tides. This on the other hand... yikes.

I think, again, that this would have no chance with me, in retrospect, even if it wasn`t held up at such a high standard. I just hate every trope this drama decides to utilize. From immature leads who cannot stand each other to the point of acting like actual five year olds (at times I felt like I was in charge of kindergarteners), a douchey second lead who only looks out for his own benefit, a male lead who can`t get over a girl from his past...Yup, it`s all here. And, in this concept, you need your main characters to be likeable. They are NOT. And this is rare, but I would say that they both got on my nerves in the same amount. And it`s a shame because chemistry is there. The soundtrack is crazy good. But you need some kind of meat on the bones of your plot OR interesting characters who mature and change over time. Unfortunately, neither was achieved here.

When both of the characters had the opportunity of a turning point on the porch, they just reverted to their old selves and it was all for naught. All that time, all that dragging, only to wrap it up quickly and nonsensically. It`s a real shame that this pairing ended up in this project because I feel like they could`ve done something. But this ain`t it.

Dated, and not in a nostalgic way

There was so much shouting and pettiness and lack of growth in this drama, it just pissed me off. The treatment of women was poor, and I got so sick of the male lead's clownery. This was really the style and plot of early dramas: love triangles, ridiculous premises, awful friends, shouting, pouty and immature leads... It really feels of its time. Unfortunately, unlike other early dramas, it just doesn't have much heart. The couple's sweet moments are constantly undercut by their tiresome bickering. Rain is great to look at, though.

I was debating whether I should rate this a 7.5 or an 8, but in the end I think I'll give it an 8.

Full House is a classic, and that's reason enough to watch this rom-com kdrama. That, and Rain. Anyways, besides being a classic, this kdrama had the foundation to be really fun, and even though it was, it was also extremely frustrating. Frustrating in the way that only kdramas can make u.

Rain's character, Young Jae, is the biggest jerk, and I wanted to punch him in the face more than half the time. Song Hye Kyo's character, Han Ji Eun, I absolutely adored, but she was really kinda stupid lol, but in an endearing way. The ost is really beautiful and goes perfectly with this drama, and the only reason i didn't rate the music higher is because i can't recall the songs right off the top of my head, only if i hear it i know right away that it came from Full House. Minus .5 for the acting/cast because of the horrible second female lead. (Ugh, she was so annoying).

Ok, so the story starts off with Ji Eun's friends tricking her to go to China so they can sell her house (wtf this made me sooo angry), and she meets Young Jae for the first time on the plane ride there. Young Jae is a famous actor. Anyways while in China, she realizes that she has no way to get back home to Korea, so she tricks Young Jae into paying for her (she plans on paying him back tho). When she gets back to Korea, she realizes that her so-called friends tricked her and sold her house (i still don't know how this was even possible, but w/e). With no where to go, she camps out at the house still, but Young Jae calls her up out of no where, and plans on bringing her to meet her "ex-boyfriend" so they can "get back together" so he can finally get the girl he "loves" (rolls eyes), because the girl he "loves" (horrible second female lead) is in love with Ji Eun's "ex-boyfriend" (he's fantastic and i really like him). Anyways, it was a really awkward meeting because Ji Eun's "ex-boyfriend" isn't really her ex-boyfriend, it was just a story she sold Young Jae so he'd pay for ticket to Korea. Anyways after all of that, (Young Jae is really mad at her btw), when Ji Eun goes back to her house, she realizes that Young Jae has taken up residence there now. See, Full House has the makings of a great rom-com, but it's just so frustrating because Young Jae is a freaking idiot on top on being a huge jerk. Ugh, anyways, obviously these two end up catching feelings for each other, but all the drama in between is so unnecessary. I love drama, but not the stupid kind, and Full House is full of the stupid kind. All the drama is Young Jae's fault of course. Yeah, he's cute, but he makes it extremely difficult to like him. I don't hate him, but i def don't love him. I just smh at him.

Anyways, this kdrama is worth a watch because #1) Rain, #2) Classic, #3) It's funny. Despite all my eye rolling, I'd recommend this drama, because it is actually entertaining, and isn't that why we all watch dramas in the first place. To be entertained. The are some real, true, laugh-out-loud moments in this drama. And, I've actually rewatched this drama twice, so it's not that bad. It's a little slow at the beginning, namely the first episode, but stick with it. Would i rewatch it again? Eehhhhh, maybe. I don't plan to anytime soon. Maybe in a couple of years. Watching it once is good enough, and I really do think kdrama fans should watch Full House at least once.

this was not my first drama, thus I was very critical of it... having watched 5 other dramas before this. I love the set up of the story that forces the two strangers to have to live with one another.

But, I had trouble staying through with the characters... Every one of them just got very annoying eventually and I just couldn't take it any longer. The bike scene was cute though, btw.

Nonetheless, don't let my ranting discourage you. For many, this drama will prove to be a phenomenal experience. It just didn't affect me in that way, that's all.

I'm writing this review only half way in to the series but I think I've seen enough to know what I like and don't like. This is a good show and I love Rain but I find that dramas featuring popular musicians are often overrated and judged more by love of the artist rather than the actual drama.(like, "A Love To Kill"-seriously overrated in my opinion). This drama however is actually pretty good. It's one flaw is repetitive antics that stop being funny or cute after the third time you see them. Like the back and forth name calling and then Ji Eun's 2 childhood friends really sickened me and I got so sick of them scheming for money and being blatantly disrespectful. What they do in the first episode is unforgivable and I don't think they were properly reprimanded for it. And I'm understanding of the fact that this is an old drama and I'm watching it in 2014 but the fashion is horribly tacky. Even in 2004 I don't think it was ok to have your bra hanging out like Hye Won. And it does take a bit too long for the leads to inevitably get together. Other than that it is a pretty good drama.

I love this drama. The acting is fantastic and I think I laughed out loud at least once during every episode. So glad I watched this. Just a feel good story!!! I wish there was more of it to watch...the way the main characters interact is just dynamic and really draws you in. I love a drama that makes me feel things and makes me care about the characters and this one does that in every episode!
