The first half of the series is good but the story begins to drag afterwards. How much fighting can a couple who is interested in each other have. If you really like one another there should be some sort of romance rather than expressing your feelings by constantly yelling at one another. If I were in either person's shoe, I would have given up on the relationship, based on the fact that I will eventually loose my voice. When they finally seem to be together, what ends up happening is more fighting. Some people gave this series a high rating but I believe that if they were kids and that the only way to express your feelings is by yelling, then I can understand.

So far it is still my ALL TIME FAVORITE Korean drama series. I even re-watched all 16 episodes for I don’t know how many times in the past 7 years. Another thing that won me over was the OST. It just sticks in your head that you would want to hear it over and over and over again.

Although some people had commented it becomes all stale and boring in the long run, I don’t see that. All I see is Song Hye Kyo and that cute chemistry she had with Rain. The bickering and never ending I-hide-my-feelings-because-I-think-I’m-falling-for-you-now charade is what made me love it more. It was a romantic comedy which made me laugh my ass out and then squirm in the insides for the main character’s cat and dog antics.

I’m starting to like you. You’re starting to like me. BUT we’re SO not going to tell each other about these absurd feelings.

That's the whole concept of the main character's convoluted feelings.

In Full House, it was all fair in love and… eerrr debt? That’s how everything started. A contract (oh what a cliché!) and the jealousy induced acting between strangers. In the story, the ever bright Han Ji-Eun is a wacky lead female which lead to a ridiculous story line. Crazy as her character is, Lee Young-jae is the logical one but eventually becomes irrational when it comes to Ji-Eun.

I watched this drama a year back and I was pretty excited when I heard all the praises for this drama and learned about the sky-rocketing ratings. But honestly speaking, I left disappointed. And I'd like to call that the generation gap of dramas. This drama is too old school for my taste. I neither find the jokes funny nor do I get why the characters don't confess/move on. It did drag for me and some of those shirts Bi Rain wore were ATROCIOUS.

So why did I give it an 7 overall (instead of a 5 or a 6)? Well, even though the couple was frustrating, they were pretty sweet together. And I liked the acting and the chemistry. And I admit, some stuff was really cute.

Opinion after watching - Much better than I expected it to be. I really enjoyed it for the brain candy that it was. :) I think I understand why it was highly praised when it aired and is still considered a classic.

Reason for watching - Well, I kept putting off this drama because of the hype. Even though it follows one of my favorite tropes (couple forced together, bicker a lot and fall in love), I didn't want to watch it anytime soon. But since I've recently resolved to watch the most popular dramas that I've avoided for one reason or the other, I decided on this one. Especially after I ended up loving 'My Girl', another drama that I had ignored previously. :P

My favourite character - Han Ji Eun and Lee Young Jae(when they're together only) ;) I loved their bickering and antics.

Story - Anyone who has watched atleast a few dramas will know this plot - the main couple hate each other at first sight, bicker, pick fights, slowly fall in love while denying it, only to be hindered by the clingy second lead before they finally realize their love for each other and unite/reunite. Been there, seen that.
But still it's worth watching, mainly because of the main couple. Also, the drama doesn't take itself seriously in many situations. The plot turns may seem illogical and crazy to believe. It's a check-your-brain-at-the-door-and-enjoy kind of story which is quite fun to watch even now.

Acting/Cast - I've never been a fan of any of the actors in this drama. Halfway through the drama, I started to see the appeal of Rain(I like him best when he's smiling) and Song Hye Kyo(who does the messy, loud Ji Eun character well). I hated the female second lead, Hye Won(as I was supposed to?!) and I think it shows how effective her acting was. :)
At first, Ji Eun's friends grated on my nerves so much, but near the end I became used to them(probably like Ji Eun herself lol).

Music - This drama has a couple songs that I ended up loving - Chuh Eum Geu Ja Ri Eh, Un Myung(Fate) and I think I. The OST is one of the plus points of the drama.

Full House/Location - As for the house itself, it's one of the best houses in kdramaland. I especially loved the wooden swing seat, helical staircase and the water view.

Rewatch value - I don't rewatch a drama in its entirety usually. I would like to watch only their interactions around the household. Cleaning, cooking, bickering and name-calling(though it's never meant in a hurtful way).

Overall - Recommended for rom-com lovers, those who like watching cohabitation/contract relationship dramas. It's one of the most popular dramas out there for a reason. Watch it and you'll realise how kdramas have evolved in the past decade.

P.S. I adored the Three Bears Song! Song Hye Hyo won me over with this song, actually. She is so cute dancing for this song. Rain and Grandma also are not immune to the song's/singer's charm, it seems. ;)

This was one of the first Korean dramas I ever watched. I fell in love with it instantly. The story is sweet, but not to a nauseating level, something difficult to achieve in Asian dramas. The characters clash so interestingly and it had me laughing hard enough to cry at times. This drama is a must-see, and a must-have in my opinion. You'll find yourself drawn into Full House before you know it.

Oh, the Boredom!

This was a very popular drama at the time of its airing. The cast is top-notch, the plot has all the premises for a funny, romantic and passionate love story.

Unfortunately though, the viewer is forced to an extremely long wait for something that never happens, or happens on a very low scale in the last 5 minutes of the show.

The rest of it is a sequel of silly quarrels, food preparing and cleaning. I'd say the cleaning is the main character of the show, to the point you start looking around your house thinking that dusting once a week cannot possibly be enough. Yes, because these two, in turn, dust the huge house once a day, and the director saw it fit to show it to the viewer every single time, just in case one might forget how it is done.

The chemistry between the 2 leads is there, and it's powerful. Ironically though, this alchemy becomes the biggest flaw of the show, because it's like a big amount of electricity never conveyed into anything. One waits... and waits... and waits.

Since watching Full House I'm invariably sceptical about any drama portraying two lovers forced in the confines of a house.

Yawn.

This is the drama that got me into the whole k-drama obsession. Quite frankly, the first one I finished. I remember when I first begun watching this, how eager I was to see what would happen next and fangirling over Rain's adorable character, Young Jae. But while I do love it with all my heart, it did have its cons.
Pros:
-Young Jae
-Interesting story
-The cute moments between Young Jae and Ji Eun
Cons:
-At times, events got too... repetitive?
-I didn't have a problem with the music, but I would've wished for more variety.
I highly recommend this to anyone, especially for people who are just starting out to watch drama (like me). This is a must-watch, and if you want a cute and funny drama, Full House is the way to go.

This drama was widely popular after it aired and continued in that vain for a long time, and deservedly so. This was only my second ever drama. Since then I have seen many, but this one maintains a very special place in my hearts and to this day remains one of my eternal favourites. I am not Korean, so prior to this drama I was not particularly a fan of Rain or anything, so not swayed at the time by that bias. Having seen the drama, now mosty definitely a fan. This drama is a fanatstic template for what all easy going, romantic fluffy dramas should follow. It has a simple plot yet interesting premise, a capable and adorable cast and very good music. It is full of sweet moments, mixed it with the funny and the neccessay angst. My only complaint would be that the pacing seemed to drop near the end , as it geared up for its climax and the ending not as amazing as it could have been. This compliants are not unique to this drama but is a common place in most asian dramas and is now to be expected. The dramas major strenght is its characters..you genuinely like them and become interested in thier development, and they are very well portrayed. Rain and Song Hye Kyo have very good chemistry, which adds greatly to the drama and is a strong support to the plot. The supporting characters are exactly what they need to be. The second male lead is strong and charismatic and seems a very capable alternative, which is essential to futhering the love triangle. The others add either tension or comedy, both of which add to the viewers enjoyment. All in all, I would strongly recommend this drama, for an easy heartfelt watch, to make you laugh, to cry and the want to scream at the main lead a couple of times out of fustration..all in good fun.Oh an an excellent soundtrack.

So I'd watched this as a kid when it aired on a channel in our country, but couldn't finish it and it's been on my mind since. I finally got around to watching all of again and now after having finished a few dramas, I think my kid-self was a little over-excited :P

First, the story wasn't a fresh concept to me. But I won't go around blaming that, there are tonnes of ways to bring novelty to old storylines as well. The characters were nice, believable, a little thick maybe but they don't tick you off as such. The character evolution takes longer than necessary but seeing that the plot didn't have much to go on, it was needed for the characters to get around slowly. One thing I liked was that they didn't try to incorporate everything into a single plot. They could have put in numerous obstacles, all sorts of them but they stuck to a couple of problems that popped up again and again. Which could be tiring as well, frankly. I mean, how many times can you really go through the same procedures again and again?

The lead actors were great. I loved their performances. To be honest, they were the sole reason that kept me going. Regardless of whether they were bickering or yelling or laughing or wallowing, I loved them. Rain brought Young Jae to life. The character of Young Jae is lovable as it is but Rain just made me like him even more. And both Rain and Song Hye Kyo were great together! I've never seen more realistic bickering between couples on any drama yet.

The music was so good! I was really surprised. I don't know why but I didn't think the show would have a good OST, I was so wrong! The main three songs that were repeated throughout the show were catchy, fit the scenes, were good over all.

I don't think I'll watch the show again but there were pretty nice bickering/quarrels between the lead that I might watch again sometimes in the future.

This is supposed to be one of the most famous dramas around and mostly everyone's watched it. But if you haven't and are wondering if you should, you should ask consider the fact that the story in itself isn't great and you won't find amazing twists or such but I'll give you this, the lead is worth watching the show for. If you can put your trust in the lead and want a story that'll leave you with a smile on your face and maybe wet eyes at the end, you can definitely watch this. But if the story and premise, and plot twists are an essential ingredient for a drama to be good for you, maybe you can pass on this one.

I am being a bit generous here, because I did so love the premise. When I watched the first episode of this, I thought it was beautifully crazy and wacky, which is just what I look for. I like the whole set up for the story.

Now let me continue by saying that if this drama went for, say, 3 episodes, it might score about a 7. But it didn't go for three episodes, it went for 16. So for 16 episodes I had to watch the leads alternately act like idiots, sometimes act like idiots together (those episodes were REALLY special), and do a lot of...cleaning? and cooking?

One of the secondary leads was boring and one was just really easy to dislike. By the end of it I was rooting for the friends, because all the other characters irritated me so much that I no longer cared that they were horrible and shameless, I was just happy that the main characters were getting some sort of payback for their over the top and constant stupidity, even if it was from their horrible vulture friends.

(WARNING: This review might be a bit biased, courtesy of Rain's character, and not accurate, since I watched this last year before summer).
This drama brings back so many good memories! This was the second drama I watched, and I remember coming home from school and putting off homework just to watch it :P Some events were repetitive or... dumb, and some actions from certain characters left me with a blank face. But I enjoyed putting up with it because Full House is awesome! It is a sweet and funny story, and even if the idea is common in k-dramas, it still has its own unique spark. I think it was Song Hye Gyo's and Rain's chemistry, and, of course, Rain's character, Young Jae! I cannot find any reasons why you could not love him.
All in all, I recommend this to anyone. Why? Even I, a newbie, knows this is a classic. Plus, there's a big possibility that you'll enjoy it.
P.S. To Song Hye Gyo's character: you call those dimwits friends? I'm still doubting your sanity for forgiving them...

this was my very first korean drama and as a result i'm a korean drama addict. this show is attention grabbing from the very first episode.i know contract marriages are drama cliche and unlikely to happen in real life but the acting of the leads i.e.Rain and song Hye Kyo is so natural that you can actually relate to the characters and feel their joy as well as agony.
Song Hye Kyo, for me , is by far one of the prettiest girls on earth. you'd be missing on some really good story and music, if you still haven't watched this one. "i think i love you" by Byul is one of my favorite korean music.
