The both dramas deal with the realities of life such as death and trauma after an fatal accident. The main characters try to overcome the pains and family problems coming from their past. Throughout these two dramas flashbacks are shown about the past experiences of the main characters. The are both great in that they show that life goes on even after an traumatic or painful event and shows how people try to be happy after such events.

I think that the delicacy and pace with which the main character's relationship develops is similar, so if that's what you've been captivated by in one of these titles, the second one can also appeal to you.
It is worth mentioning that both are well-directed - with particular emphasis on details - which I think is a very strong side of these dramas.
In addition, both affect the problem of coping with the loss of a loved one.

Well, not necesarilly have similar story. But the vibe of sangdoo have similarities with just between lovers. Since it's oldies drama the feeling of poor background of our hero seems more ground and real in sangdoo.

they leave you with the same feeling of a beautiful story between two people falling into a relationship they shouldn't, but ultimately do. Both dramas have characters with unresolved issues and a satisfying development.

Main characters met once during childhood/younger age, specifically during some kind of traumatic event.
They meet again many years later~

(Male leads from both dramas have similar personalities too)

Both are like a movie. Two people are connected by one tragedy, fall in love with each other, and managing their wounds. Both are deeply psychological dramas.

Both dramas have a healing theme. The main leads lean on each other for support, and develop their relationship from shared pain. In both cases, a tragedy brings the leads together; it's more immediate in A Piece of Your Mind, whereas in Just Between Lovers they reconnect years later.

Neither drama has a love triangle, which is an added bonus. The romance element is incredibly fulfilling. The longing glances, the words not said but understood, the passing touches.... It's incredibly heart fluttering.

Both are healing dramas with romance and a tragic past. Like If You Wish Upon Me, Just between lovers deals with loneliness, PTSD and the growth of the main characters and how they learn to move on and accept death. Just Between Lovers has a lots of heartwarming platonic and romantic relationships and there are a lot of heart wrenching scenes too. JBL's male lead is quite similar to If You Wish Upon Me's male lead in how life wasn't good to both of them and how they learn to give and receive affection. Both of the drama has romance but JBL is focused more on romance. But I would say JBL is more slow burning with its story and the romantic plot between the leads. While If You Wish Upon Me focuses more on finding a community of accepting and warm hearted people, Just Between Lovers focuses more on one-on-one relationships :)

?The ending of JBL was not the best and the pacing got weird in the last episodes. But if you want to watch a healing drama where people who weren't treated well by people, society and life in general and has some romance in it, Just Between Lovers might be what you want to watch next?

Both shows have a really gritty, unfiltered depiction of people in poverty, downtrodden by their circumstances and random events that happen in the course of their lives. They also both show the reality of people trying to handle trauma and difficult things that happen in their lives. But both also have genuine moments of connection and commonality with others.

The dramas both have this melodramatic , calming feeling. Both relationships progress in a similar way.

Both are melodramas with similar pacing and moody atmospheres. Also, both are slice-of-life dramas that focus on character relationships over eventful plots.
