Both male leads have had a very tough childhood. They have lived alone and in very poor conditions while they have been growing. Emotional pain that they have gone through during all years has made them somehow secluded.

Both have that dark and desperate feeling to them. Very realistic and wonderful characters along with excellent story telling that grips you.

though the tone of these two dramas are a little different they both have a similar backdrop. MLs & FLs in both these dramas had a tragic or traumatic event in their teenage years. there are flashbacks scenes etc.
& also the younger part of the FL is played by the same actress in both the dramas.

Mr. Plankton and Just Between Lovers share a focus on complex characters navigating emotional turmoil and finding connection in unexpected places. Both explore themes of love, loss, and the search for meaning in life, often through unconventional relationships. While Mr. Plankton takes a more comedic approach with its quirky characters and absurd situations, both dramas delve into the depths of human emotion , beautiful and heart felt love story and the power of human connection and offer more than romance..

Similar feel: two people who are tied together due to a shared tragedy in their childhood. There is also some similar corruption involved. It's a little more "makjang" than "He is Psychometric," but if you liked one, I think you will enjoy the other.

The dramas' stories revolve mainly around one big accident which occurred in the past. In addition, one of the genres in definitely romance with feelings blossoming between the main characters,
