At first, i really didn't think much of the 2nd season because I thought that nothing could ever beat Obsessed but I was wrong.

Right Or Wrong shows us a cute and pure story of a university teacher and one of his students who he met a few years back but didn't remember that exact encounter.

I really love that YoYo was there as one of the main characters too because it showed that kids don't care who are their parents as long as they love them and take care of them. I ruined the typical stereotype that some people say that this kind of a relationship will reflect on kids or something like that  or ask "what will children think of this" but actually all you have to do is to explain as Shi Yi Jie did.

I know that it may look pathetic to give 10 in all of the aspects but this story really deserves it.

STORY: It was pure and sweet. No unneeded things and no big drama. It showed few problems that couples may face nowadays as having a bigger age gap or being in a same-sex relationship.

ACTING/CAST: The caste really was great and did a good job in the series. Steven (ShiYiJie) and Hunt (XiaoFei) showed their emotions really well and the girl who played YoYo was doing such a great job 'cause as we know it's not that easy for kid such a young age to be at their highest point but she really did her best and overall was really cute.

MUSIC: All I can say is that the ending song is one of my favorite songs at least right now for sure. These series didn't have many soundtrack songs but 2 main ones and the ones that appeared in the middle were really well arranged and fitted the series aura really well.

REWATCH VALUE:  I'd rewatch this one for sure at some point, the same as I did with Obsessed 'cause it's not that long to take all of your time away but it's enough to feel happy for someones :) This story really did touch my heart and "the scenes" were G-R-E-A-T!!!

OVERALL: I really do think that this story desrves a 10 due to the all of the aspect i mentioned in this review. I woudl write evn more but it's hard to put all of my emotions for this into words

HIStory stories had quite some pressure on them after the release of Obsessed, so I was very curious how "season 2" would do. I expected to be either utterly disappointed or be full of high praise. Well, fortunately the second one is the case.

Story: Right or Wrong gives us a lovely storyline that does not actually start with a love line but a main "get to know the life of the characters" plotline. Soon though, it picks up the pace and gives you a lot more than you expected. The story gives you some drama, a lot of funny remarks or conversations (at least I sometimes found them quite funny) but mostly it gives you loveliness...RoW is lovely from beginning to end and when you start you don't wanna stop because the characters grow on you rather quickly. Also it gives us a little unusual storyline for BL series and movies, so that's something new and fresh.

Cast: The cast was a little bit awkward at first but after getting to know the characters better, you start loving them and the awkwardness disappears. The acting is good enough, for me to forget that they are actors and for me to want to know what they will act in next. Also the cast managed to give their own flavour to the characters.

Music: The music was great. I love the ending song!!

Rewatch: Oh yes, definitely. Probably right now ^.^

Overall: Overall the story did not disappoint at all and was interesting and refreshing especially for a BL series. The characters were lovely, the cast did a great job, the music is noticeable and nice to listen to and I definitely love this as much as Obsessed. Well, the expectations for the rest of HIStory 2 are rising...

I am not going to lie, I didn't expect what I got

I am late to the BL world, so I started the HIStory series after Make our days count and Trapped were out. I have watched tons of BL in the past few months but in a general note, the HIStory series have been the best of the best.

Coming precisely to right or wrong, it was one of the least favorite for me in terms of excitement when I saw the trailer because the looked basic but I gave it try and I am here to say, that I was extremely wrong. Right or wrong may be one of the best BLs I have seen out there and I will talk about it in many phases

1. Bullying of the LGBT community and shaming: Several Bls either make light or blatantly ignore the struggles of the LGBT community, for example in together with me, the showed family homophobia but it was lacking for me. Here we saw Fei cry and being rejected publicly, we saw him go through the lows for being bullied and this truly is the reflection of LGBT youth around the world, not what a lot of bls like SOTUS (I love SOTUS) show of everyone being loving and at worst being scared of teasing. this is further portrayed excellently by Fei being scared of going public with the relationship, all the past hurt. For that, I gave them a 10

2. Stereotypes around gay couples, kids, and gay marriage: This is a combination of 3 points. so, I think maybe asides father, Right or Wrong is one of the most realistic about stereotypes of the gay community, I mean Thai BLs sometimes straight-up disgust me with how they portray gay characters that are not the main couple or side couple, they portrayal of effeminate, screaming guys all the time. now I don't mind those types of gays, but Thai bls tend to borderline fetishization of gay men and trying to make them still attainable to the women audience, Right or Wrong did not do that. right or wrong even took it a step further by demolishing stereotypes about gay couples impacting kids, when you you and shi talked about marrying Fei, they showed that simple conservation ends it all and that kids wouldn't be bullied or hated, albeit sometimes the opposite could be a reality, but I am happy that they portrayed a happy gay couple, that got married, have a kid and live a happy life.

Honestly, this is definitely top 5 bl for me out of the 30 I have watched

One big thing had me worried when I started watching this show: it's about a professor/student relationship. Would I be able to get past the fact that I think this kind of relationship is unethical? But this show was so well-written that it won me over anyway.

This show does some awesome things that no other BL drama has attempted. Shi is a single dad with a seven-year-old daughter (played by a child actress who has just the right mix of sweetness and sass). This is a drama about divorce, falling in love when you have a child, and finding the right person to make a new family. A drama about a big, rarely explored topic: gay fatherhood.

This drama doesn't let us forget that it was made a few months after Taiwan's highest court ruled to make gay marriage legal. So ultimately, this is way more ambitious than another boys' love story--this is a drama trying to figure out gay families. And the closing images are so sweet and optimistic you will want to see happy gay families everywhere.

Also very cool: the biggest conflict between these two characters feels really true-to-life. It's about Fei's insecurities because of the bullying he endured as a gay kid in high school. If Shi is sometimes too pushy, Fei is sometimes too ashamed of himself--and this makes them a great pair.

These two characters were complicated, and I didn't agree with all their decisions. And like so many dramas, the first episodes have some choppy editing that's a little confusing. But this story was so interesting I want everyone to watch it so we can discuss it together!

P.S. I saw another reviewer complain about the kissing, but I thought it was pretty good. I mean, no one will ever be as convincing as Max and Tul in Together with Me, but I didn't have any complaints.

P.P.S. I'm rewatching it a second time and I keep thinking of more things I want to add to this review. It's that kind of show. It's sweet and beautiful and inspiring and totally awesome. Really.

As someone who truly enjoyed HIStory season 1-Specially Obsessed, I was on the edge of my seat biting my finger nails when the second season was announced; partly because I was afraid that it would not hold up to the hype of the original story. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the first of the two series- Right or Wrong was truly enjoyable from beginning  to end, mostly because the cast had great chemistry, the drama was enough to keep you engage and the ending was absolutely realistic.

Lets talk about the couple! Can we get an -AMEN! Finally a top/lead who is straight (no pun intended) forward about his feelings, his actions and doesn't give two Fs about society or what others think? Like seriously, this was a total turn on! Finally, someone who understands the pressure society can have on your choice of partner, but who was willing to say "screw you society and your societal norms, I love this man and I want him!" Often I watch BLs where the so called straight person who suddenly turns gay is not willing to admit their feelings much less fight for their relationship and wants to keep it a secret.  However, in this series we have the opposite and it was refreshing to say the least.

Love the second lead (I'm horrible with names, I'll come back to edit this later when I finally learn them all) specially when he declared to the ex-wife that Shi Jie(??) was his and that Yo Yo though technically hers, was still his too. I liked that he had doubts about his relationship because we got to see a more complex character. Usually characters like him in BLs are depicted as one-dimensional and I'm glad we got to see more about his motives for what he does or say!

Also, supporting characters-the friends. They were what you hope real friends are. Supportive, understanding, knock you on the head when you need it, give you advice you may not want to hear but really need to know...Etc. Best friend was amazingly supportive and no longer the side-girl who somehow in most BL dramas end up being the "other love interest" or the one plotting to sabotage the relationship. She was refreshing and sweet and cheered on her friend from a place of true support for him.

The ex-wife--The trope of all tropes when it comes to Straight men falling for gay men, and their straight female exes being the crutch to their happiness. Loved that her role was brief and that her own brother called her out on how manipulative she was being and unfair to her child and herself. As fast as she came, she was gone and that made me give this drama higher points, because I'm truly sick of dramas where they drag this scene out.

Music--Top notch, but I didn't find myself liking the choices as much as I did for the first season. Easy Chen truly ruined it for me because now I expect him to sing for every BL Taiwanese drama (LOL)

Setting/Directing/etc...everything was actually good

This one was honestly not that great but I did enjoy the skin ship and really hot make out scenes. With me I didn't find the lead actors acting convincing enough and teacher and student story should have that taboo feeling but it wasn’t satisfying because everyone was already accepting them! Even from the beginning. I guess this is great for the ones who have a family with kid kink lol which not saying I don't like it but I don't know for some reason this one was just ok. Not terrible, just okay.

Slice-Of-Life About Parenthood And Love.

The story was more slice-of-life and NOT about a college student/professor taboo. Their dynamic was really that of equals (there was a good balance mentally and emotionally between them). Overall it was heart-warming and I found myself smiling frequently. I highly recommend for one watch, though I won't re-watch often.

A sweet story about parenthood, love, family, self-acceptance, courage, and determining priorities.

The 7 yr old girl is actually written like a 7 yr old! No contrived lines that sound like an adult. And the actress is great and sincere in her role. Her interaction with the two leads is lovely, natural, and endearing to watch. There were no cringy, forced saccharine-sweet moments in the story, which I greatly appreciated.

The two leads were good and well-matched. A small caveat is that although they did feel drawn to each other, the sexual chemistry between them was a bit flat. That didn't detract too much though as the romance of partnership was more central to this story than sexual attraction. There are a couple of ok kisses and a decent intimate scene.

The friend of Fei Sheng Zhi deserves a mention too, she was great, both in how she was written and acted. I enjoyed watching her facial expressions whenever she was in a scene.

Nothing really memorable about the cinematography or music.

Soundtrack is bomb! I had to look it up and play it on multiple occasions. It and this drama doesn't fail to put a smile to my face. The premise for this drama is interesting, though I think there should have been more negotiation and conflict over the fact that they were teacher and student. Like love is love, but not when there is a huge power gap between the two of them. In my eyes this drama would have been much better if the two main leads weren't teacher and student and the younger one was of age because this show really thrives on the two-dads-with-a-child dynamic. Acting was amazing. I loved the communication between the two leads, because most dramas have really poor communication. But here you see one lead explaining exactly why is homosexuality and fear of relationships was hindering his relationship with his teacher and the other lead repeatedly professing his love to his lover and his desire for them to be together. They even get married. There isn't much more commitment and declaration powerful than that. Overall 9/10.

Perfect

I came upon this drama by accident, and I'm really glad that I did. I mean, what's better than a gay-for-you, dad-falls-for-the-nanny boys love story? Nothing! This drama was just long enough not to leave you feeling cheated and so so sweet. And it didn't cave to cliched misunderstandings, thank goodness. I'll admit there was one part where I was afraid it would, but I was pleasantly surprised. And it manages the teacher/student older/younger thing without seeming creepy. I love the way Shi Yi Jie is steadfast in his determination and doesn't let anything get in the way of how he feels for Fei Sheng Zhe. You You is adorable, and the ending is HEA. What could be more perfect?

I’m throwing up rainbows over here, My God. After browsing the mostly depressing BL J-dramas, I moved on to Chinese/Taiwanese and I’m glad I found this one. A cute, adorable, FEEL GOOD drama that is what cute yaoi kid!fic mangas are made of. I enjoyed this so much, it left a big smile on my face after every episode. Will definitely re-watch and now I am looking forward to watching the other “seasons” of HIStory.

Seriously, it’s adorable. The acting is very good and the chemistry between the two main characters is very aparent. Music matches the mood which is light hearted, fluffy, GOOD feelings all the way around. And the pining....a really, really good BL.

Best HIStory Story

This is absolutely my FAV out of all the HIStory stories. It was so wholesome and sweet. The writers did well developing the characters/story, both leads had great energy together and there were very few fluffy cliche moments. The acting was very natural (which is hard to find a lot of BL's), the plot made sense and was well paced. Everything felt real. Everything added by the writers actually had purpose, so the emotions behind the characters actions actually had a legitimate cause and you weren't left wondering why this is or that is happening. I really wish we could get a continuation of this particular story.

I was kind of unsure if I want to watch this series... this huge age gap and the daughter... I didn't know if they'll be able to pull it off...
I had no reasons to worry!
This is not your typical BL drama. It might be sweet and cute but the relationship itself is quite unusual.
Drama concentrate mostly on Shi Yi Jie and Fei Sheng Zhe relationship. There is a "side couple" but they have hardly any time to develop their relationship, from my perspective their job is mostly to ease some tension when problems show up and bring some laugh as they tend to behave quite funny and chaotically .
FSZ is a warm person, very loving and considerate but quite unconfident and scared as he went thru some hard moments in the past.
SYJ is quite a lost person... messy, unorganized and very lonely. He loves his daughter but he doesn't know how to be a father (there is another reason to his behavior, watch if u want to know :P ) and so he tends to bury himself under the mountain of books.
SYJ somehow meets FSZ that shows him how lonely and lost he was all this time, FSZ points out for him his faults and mistakes while showering him with warmth...
What I love is that SYJ doesn't need anyone to tell him about his own feelings and he doesn't need no-ones assurance, when he finds out he wants this boy to stay by his side he is not shy, he faces FSZ and express his feelings in the honest and straightforward way. He knows how world works but he want to be brave for the one he loves and he doesn't want to hide, he wants a normal relationship.
There are pros and cons to this relationship and the age gap (12 years), SYJ has more experience in life situations and he doesn't get lost or confused, he knows what is needed in the stable relationship (I always have problem with this in dramas as characters tends to assume a lot of things, easy get swayed by others or just don't open their mouth to ask questions that would make their life easier and would fix mont of the problems), SYJ wouldn't let anything and anyone go in-between of them, he fixes avery problem systematically so FSZ would not feel hurt and so their relationship can progress.
FSZ ... what to say? He my looks like an adult and he is quite a responsible boy but when they meet he is only 19... VERY YOUNG... he is scared and he makes mistakes as he doesn't know how to proceed with this relationship. Everything is new to him and he's just a young unexperienced man... He is so lucky that he met SYJ that is patient enough to teach him... If this was relationship between two 19 y.o. guys they would have broken up long time ago.

I fully recommend this series as the topics it touches (marriage, trust, children, problems growing up as a gay, hard childhood) are very important and I think we should have more dramas/movies like this.
Yes this series is too short to give us in-depth exposure of this topics but the way it's touching them here is very well done, brief but with a taste. All I could wish fore is more time for them to explore...

Well written and well directed series! Good acting ! Even You You was such a good girl!!!

It was such a pleased experience I'm sure I'll be back for more!
