Ojakgyo Brothers may seem like an impossible task but its worth taking on I promise!

Story- The first couple episodes sets up the plot and storylines for everyone. I’d say it took me about 5 episodes before I saw myself wanting to see more. I do have to say the writers did a fantastic job. When the story was funny it was hilarious and when it was dramatic you felt the emotions. My favorite part of the writing though was definitely the subtle comedy. I found myself laughing like an idiot whenever something random happened. I liked that each brother had their own loveline and enjoyed watching each one develop. Although the UEE/Joo Won pairing was just too cute! In the end everyone gets their happy ending. That’s not to say it was all sunshine and rainbows throughout, cause everyone had their fair share of drama…

Acting/Cast- Perfectly casted. I liked that everyone got their time to shine. This family felt like they were really a family in real life. I wanted to live on the Ojakgyo farm! Lol. I thought UEE did a fantastic job playing the naïve but temporal Ja Eun. Loved all the brothers. The rest of the supporting cast was awesome as well. Just loved everyone=)

Music- Really liked the score. When it was suppose to be light and funny they had this awesome weird music played that really added to the effect and when it would come on I knew something hilarious/random was about to happen. The ost was good but nothing I’d listen to outside the show.

Rewatch- The episode count is quite large so because of that I’d probably put off watching this for about 2 years.

Overall I’d say Ojakgyo Brothers is the best family drama I have seen and it’s a must watch. You will definitely be entertained and fall in love with all the characters=)

I like the concept of this drama, it's like watching several dramas in the price of one. You get 2 major love stories, 2 smaller ones, some family drama, bromance, revenge, redemption and even a bit of action. The plot is so complex that you really can't get bored while watching. I really admire the writers for being able to intertwine so many stories together. Throughout the whole drama there are new characters appearing, some disappearing for many episodes to appear again and new connections are revealed. Even if you are able to predict the eventual outcome and some ideas are something you might have seen before, you really cannot predict when something new will be added. At some point I was a little bit worried if they will be able to wrap up all of story lines, but they did a great job with that too and the ending is very satisfactory.

I really liked most of the characters. Female leads were really awesome and that doesn't happen too often in dramas. I really love Ja Eun - she is one of my most favorite heroines now, Soo Young was also adorable - hard on the outside, but very soft and warm inside.

Only characters that I didn't like too much was Soo Young's parents, maybe most of their scenes were there for humor but I've found them a bit annoying.

And I really love, love, love Ja Eun and Tae Hee story! If you like romance, I suggest watching this just for them.

This truly was a drama that reminds you of a cold car that has been sitting for awhile; like that cold car, it takes it awhile to start; so too does this drama. The first 5-6 episodes, I kept asking myself why do people like this? The next 10 episodes were a lot better but I still didn't see the fascination; however, from that point on it kept getting better and better. The bromance between the brothers; the individual romances, even though the second brother and his wife's story will grate on your nerve, hang in there. However, the highlight romance and story, you must give to Uee and Joo Won. I was so glad to see him again and have a great chemistry with his co-star lead. Their chemistry was so sweet and so was their story. You really didn't want it to end. The conflicts, even though serious, you hated to see them. I loved the brothers, the women in their lives, everything. Great story! Great acting!

Ojakgyo Brothers is one great drama that brought me on a rollercoaster ride! Cried, laughed, smiled at this drama. I was pretty discouraged to watch this drama at first because of the number of episodes.. But I'm glad I went mad and decided to start on it.

To be honest, I usually got bored when the main couple finally got together and I would actually fast-forward the drama. But ojakgyo... I did not. Because it's like so pure and innocent love and it will just make you keep watching on without fast-forwarding it.. (At least for me!)

I love the characters, there aren't any for you to hate actually. Except the usual antagonists but oh well our focus are on the ojakgyo family, isn't it? :)

I love ajumma a lot in this drama, she acts just like a child when she's happy! The way she laughs and smiles is just so cute and I can't help to smile along as I watch the drama.

Just watch it if you haven't, what's more there's joowon :3

I might re-watch in the future just to relive all those feelings again, I'm not the type of person who will rewatch drama anyway! But its always nice to watch these kind of family dramas, its just so close to us and heartwarming. :>

I always thought that watching family dramas with 50+ episodes would be something I wouldn't do because anything exceeding 20 episodes puts me off. I took a risk with Ojakgyo Brothers and thoroughly enjoyed it.

As the title suggests, it is centered on the brothers and all other relations in their lives. I am mighty impressed with how well the drama was made. The four brothers were all unique in their own ways and this seemed like a collection of Kdramas all in one. By the end, it was thoroughly fulfilling.

The story for each brother was very cute and likable. I especially loved the romantic plots of the younger three brothers. The older one was kind of boring and ajhussi-like at times for my taste but his romance was still cute. Not just that, the whole cast did a great performance and did justice to their roles. I am impressed with the females in this drama. They are stronger and bolder than regular kdrama heroines.

As in the acting department, I loved Uee a lot. She is definitely way above other idol actors I know of and was one of the strongest entity of the drama. Joo Won was hot and cute (as always) and had pretty solid chemistry with Uee. Their romance was so nice and had a rocking build up, proper relationship and the makjang elements in it. The second brother and the youngest one are the actors I don't know very well but I liked them too.

The only weak parts in the drama were towards the end. However, nothing was too bad. I have seen worse so this drama didn't lose much overall. In fact despite its length, the fact that it didn't bore me made me realize that it is one of the best Kdramas to exist quite possibly.

I strong recommend watching it. It's worth the time.

Oh, this show. How I both love and hate it.

There were moments that had me laughing, squeeing, and truly enjoying the show and then there were other moments that made me so mad and frustrated I literally had to pause and walk away for a while.

Luckily for this drama the later happened after I'd already invested plenty of hours into this show so I soldiered on regardless. And while I can't necessarily say that it was worth it, I can move on now that it is over with a smile.

I will miss these characters but not horribly. While a decent drama overall, it still can't compare to--what is in my opinion--the best family drama out there: Smile, You. But if you are craving for 58 (!) episodes of family drama this should feed your addiction.

I will warn you: prepare yourself for useless angst. And to both love and hate most (if not all) characters. But know that you will find many laughs and heartwarming moments along the way.

So far i watched 25 ep and i begin to liked it. It's is quiet a very long drama that revolves around families who have for 4 boys who lives with their parents in a farm that was own originally by their parents friend. The story not only base on the farm, but also the 4 boys lives who faces their on problem. I personally didn;t like it in the beginning until about Ep5. But as story unfold you will definitely love it. It's nice to finally watch a drama that " Family" come together and be there for 1 another when you need a helping hand...

This is a warning more than a review.

If your someone who can't handle being angry for more than 13 episodes then I suggest you skip this drama.

The whole time I have been watching I only feel bad for all the sht happening to Ja eun. I would be raging because all the sht happening to her is due to mostly the Hwang family. Most of them are just fcking rotten, mostly the mom. While they live happily she gets all the sht.

The whole time I was raging due to the adults.

The step mother who cheats and leaves her child.

The grandmother who is just a crzy btch.

The second brother who is just a jack ass. Steals from his brothers work.

Then the big one, my god I can't handle the mother of Tae Hee. She is someone who doesn't deserve death, but someone who should burn in eternal flames forever and have the pain increase over time. God I wanted her to die so much. Even with the comedy and the awesome Tae Hee I just couldn't stand her.

She is most of the reason I am dropping. I hate watching dramas feeling angry for so long. Thats just me, but if you can handle it and are patient you should give this drama a try.

English Version:

Well done piece, all of it. Naturally, the number of episodes allowed to reveal all the sides of every character while some of the episodes dragged – but how can you do without them?
Every brother got an interesting story, but well, maybe the youngest brother's story wasn't really impressive. However, several stories such as the story of the oldest brother with the 10 years old mongrel child he suddenly got or the story of the middle brother who spent a night with his boss, her predictable unexpected pregnancy and almost fictitious marriage were awesome. Especially the middle one, I crossed my fingers for him. This story featured wonderfully how love may appear out of nowhere.
The sweetest of them all however, was the one adopted child and the woman, who just appeared in the family's life out of nowhere. It all started really bad, with the woman appearing at the family's door and demanding their farm, technically according to the law. But they are farmers, and what farmers can give away their land into which they have put so much effort? And the sympathy pendulum swung from one party to the other – you're sorry for them but you can also understand the woman, she is an orphan and it's her only chance to survive.
I find it good that more unflattering sides of this “confrontation” were shown, humans are humans and they can turn to any resort. Later, however, love bloomed and at the end there was even angst but everything turned out fine. That's why it's so likable.

A Must Watch Family Drama

This drama is so good! I was a bit hessitant going into a 58 episode drama but in 3 to 4 episodes, it had me hooked! Enjoyed every moment of this drama. It was so well executed. It is rare to find a drama that hooks you in untill the very end.

The love and respect the family has for each other is really heartwarming. I really liked how they did not streatch an issue for too long. Everyone had a story. Most of the caracters are loveable, especially our lead couple, Ja Eun and Tae He. It was a delight to watch both their characters and thier love grow! Tae He's character is too good! He is like a soft-angry-young man, if that makes any sense. And Ja Eun is like sunshine, sensible and caring for others. The second lead couple was really cute too! Watching Cha Soo Young and Tae Bom grow and mature as a couple was also really uplifiting. All the other cast members acted and carried out their roles to perfection.

Not only is it the best makjang drama, but really is one of the best dramas I have ever seen.
Even though its a 58 episode drama, I rearly skipped any scenes, and might even re-watch in a year. Truely, this drama is a gem and a must watch!

I am really not a fan of mid-length dramas because I really find it so boring watching dramas with so many episodes. I only tried this one because of Joo Won. And I can say I've done great.
There's so many things to like/love about this drama. And there's also so many lessons you can learn. I really recommend this one cause this drama is so great.
