The show regressed from having an intriguing premise and fresh characters to the tropiest tropes, gaping plotholes, random burst of possessiveness, nasty meddling females (for all the self-hating girls out there), quick-fix resolutions instead of communicating like a couple that spends a good part of the day (and night) together.

Every time Mil and Sarawat shared screen-space, frankly all that aggression and possessiveness was so off-putting. Even more when Tine suddenly couldn't utter a word in their presence. (wife trope at work here obviously.) Why did his character suddenly change just because he liked a boy?

The real relationship's pacing is also so wack. They get into a relationship, a completely new thing for both of them and bam, they're suddenly living together.Time passes. They share a freaking mattress but they don't lounge there together (which they had in the first few episodes, remember) there's no silly discussions, no seeking comfort and cheering each other on bad days (that stomach ache scene broke me), no doing chores together, no getting irritated by each other's quirks,no making up after small disagreements, no bugging each other for fun, no looking at each other affectionately. Basically no emotional intimacy whatsoever, I could go on.

The reason why this ending seems empty, is because developmentally their relationship is still where it was when Mil entered the picture- same insecurities, same lack of communication.

The ever changing haircuts gave me the impression that some of the last episode was shot earlier. The acting is stunted and distant just when they should be most comfortable with each other. Fong is the only consistent and sane character in the drama that I can stand behind.

Gmmtv is always like this, "Hey guys here's this new cool shiny thing" and so you think, "Ohhhhhh! nice, really interesting stuff.I'm so hyped, let me have a closer look." So you start walking closer to a get a better look and just when you get close enough, your jaw slack with wonder (That was me from ep 1-4), out comes a sledgehammer that just smashes that beautiful thing to pieces. They really do end it with a bang, a completely unnecessary one.

In the end, it's not really all that bad. It's just that expectations were created that were never met. Ep 1- 4 took us so high that the fall down hurt more than usual.

More Bromance

At the beginning the story was more interesting when they were fake dating but then when they start to date in real it got boring their wasnt much skinships barely any intimacy I thought that at the end of the show we could get a good kiss scene also the bus scene was the perfect time for a kiss. They kinda ruined the ending after the whole fake dating was finished I became more interested into the side ship of Man and Type. Phukong and Mil relationship is weird after not being able to get Tine he goes for Phukong as he was a second option does sarawat even accept the relationship considering all the things Mil has done.

I started out loving this series but somewhere towards the end (the last two episodes), it seemed the pacing fell apart leaving me underwhelmed. I am trying to figure out where it went wrong.

I don't blame the actors, because they were wonderful. I felt a strong chemistry between the two leads, the side couples and the supporting characters.

The story developed and unfolded successfully for the first 11 Episodes...but then the final two Episodes felt like they came from a different series altogether, as if they were simply tacked on from bits and pieces of left over material. I fault the director, script writer and editor for the abrupt change in direction of the series. It was as if the creators chickened out in the end, going for formulaic plot devices and a tacked on Hollywood (or Bollywood) style movie musical ending, none of which served the character development well.

I just did not believe that two lovers who had spent the past 11 Episodes building up a strong chemistry and bond between them, could all of a sudden and for no reason (that I understood) completely stop communicating, lose trust in each other and act completely out of their established characters.

The chemistry died between the leads in the final two episodes. They went from lovers to strangers to buddies. Since all these episodes were filmed in advance together and the actors maintained such a strong and convincing chemistry and connection in Episodes 1-11, I must blame the director, script writer and editors for Episode 12 and 13.

How did Tine go from a strapping, active protagonist to a wailing passive Damsel in Distress? It was not believable.

Nor did I buy that the two leads did not kiss each other at all after they became a couple and what was with all the head patting? Was that some kind of short hand for affection. I did not buy it. It was almost like this series was subject to some kind of 1950's Hollywood Production Code. It robbed the characters of authenticity.

Moreover, the use of the Scrubb sound track that started off so nicely ended up being overused to the point that it became a gimmick and really detracted from the story in the end.

When I compare 2gether to some of my favorite BL's, it becomes clear what went wrong. The leads in Addicted/Heroin stayed in character to point that I believed they were real people. Same with the leads in Tharn Type , Theory of Love and My Tee...they were convincing because they did not break character...I believed in them...I believed they were real.

Unfortunately, the editing of 2gether did not allow the leads to stay true to the characters that they had created in the first 11 Episodes. I think the cast of 2gether is so fantastic that they deserve a better send off than what they got and I am hoping a 2nd season of 2gether can redeem this first season and give the characters the satisfying end that they deserved.

Overhyped

Some people might hate me for this but I do not think it deserves its hype. I watched every episode religiously on GMMTV hoping that by some episode I would think "Wow this is amazing", but alas that day did not come. What killed it for me is that the storyline is overused and bland. A drama set in a university setting? Already have seen this 15 million other times. Next! A drama about a straight guy turned gay in the span of what? Like a few months(I don't remember)?. Ok you mean like every other bl drama in existence. Next! But I guess GMMTV is smart because I keep crawling back to watch this type of drama despite bashing it 24/7. I like Bright and Win but the acting did not do anything for me. Despite this, I give them the benefit of the doubt for the fact that they haven't been acting in these type of shows for the longest. All in all it was another cookie cutter drama that will unfortunately won't stick in my head for any other reason than Bright and Win's handsome faces.

I've been an avid watcher and reader of BL stories, my first Thai bl series was 2gether the series, I've heard the series and it was really hyped up, so I went to watch it, at the first episodes you really feel the spark but when the episodes goes by, it slowly loses it's spark, I was really disappointed when in the last episodes they squeezed the conflict and ending, which made it looked rushed and not appealing, I didn't like that even though Sarawat knew that his boyfriend is uncomfortable with his ex-gf he still continued to talk to her etc. They did not do justice with the side couples, they literally threw them aside, ManType and FrankDrake deserved better, they should've developed more and have more screen time, because in the end they looked forced and really rushed. I also hoped that the friends of the leads should also been emphasized more to show more connection between the main leads. Overall, I think that 2gether the series is overhyped to the point that it covers the noticeable flaws that can be seen throughout the series, it's not the best bl series, there are so many bl that are overlooked. If you want to watch thai bl or a beginner , you should start from Sotus, Theory of love, Dark Blue Kiss, etc. They are definitely worth watching and the hype!

2gether The Series

It started to be a promising light college romance between two handsome students, built up their relationship, but ended flat after episode 10. The two other side couples have more chemistry than the main.

Acting wise, Bright needs to attend more acting workshop. Some scenes look like he didn't like to do the project at all. Sounds like a recipe for Christmas Party (hamon).

It should've ended on Episode 10 on a high note or extend boyfriend moments, not create unnecessary drama. Nevertheless this is a story writing problem and can't blame the actors for it.

It's more of a straight bromance series in the end than a BL. Thanks to the good looking main leads that make the series so popular.

NOT BAD FOR THE BL BEGINNERS!!!!

2gether the Series is too noisy in social media and even have million views in every episode that is why I gave it a try and actually this is My first ever BL series. I enjoy watching the whole series. Then I watched Sotus, Until We meet Again and Together with me. Comparing 2gether with this 3 series, well aside from good visuals the lead actors have in 2gether nothing else can be the reason to rewatch the series. The Story, development of each characters and even the acting of the lead actors, 2gether is definitely too far behind...

you have to consider to watch this series

first, in early episode i really love this series. the story when tine and sarawat become a fake couple is really good, but after episode 6, the stories become bland and meh... imo sarawat and tine become so awkward when doing intimate scenes eventhough they've been a couple not fake couple anymore.
if i have to be honest, The Untamed who has supposed to be Bromance drama is more romance than this series. even when the untamed is'nt have a kiss , i could see and sense the romantic feeling with wei ying and lan zhan. but with 2gether even when they kiss or just pat a head or even they've declared that they are couple, i can't sense anything related a romance.

Overall : i dissapointed with this series progress
definitely won't rewatch again

started off well, ended poorly

Im ashamed to call myself a bright(win) stan when I haven't finished this series, but I just couldn't watch any further because I was scared that I would only get (more) disappointed. You may be wondering how I know this ends badly when I stopped at episode 9, 4 eps before the end, but trust me I know how this story ends. I'm just not keen on seeing it play out.

This series was the standard case of the leads having more chemistry and couple-like scenes when they were flirting/not 2gether, than when they were finally "dating". I call it "dating" because it just seemed more like an awkward "no-homo-bro...but—" bromance, instead of two guys, who acknowledge that they're gay/attracted to each other, dating each other officially.

It was just cringe.

This show on its own is cringe, but not so much that it's hard to swallow down. It helps that the leads are hot, and that they mostly are really trying. But, bro, this show was lowkey a mess (in terms of both plot, and chemistry).

Now the plot could be shit for all I care, what I stick around for is the chemistry (most of the times.....TharnType I'm looking at you....) but this show fell flat in terms of chemistry so much.

Sure, both the lead actors are straight but I never asked them that? Harsh but true. Don't let me know bro. Then I feel sorta awkward/bad bearing witness to Win's uncomfortable smile while they're hugging or something. Win is cute because msot of the times his face shows exactly what he's feeling, but then- it also shows EXACTLY what he's feeling, and in most scenes **quiet discomfort**. Bruh, I dont wanna be watching a show where the leads have the same energy both off and on camera. It's Win being uncomfy most times (whenever its about like more romantic stuff) and Bright either seeming not to mind, or seeming to because it's making Win go "ęughghdh....."

But anyways, this show is cute. It's something to watch if you wanna see an attempt at making a BL with the best aesthetics, but pretty bad execution. Many scenes are AWKWARD ASF, but I feel like these actors genuinely tried their best, and for Win's first series, and Bright's first BL, it wasn't HORRIBLE. Many of the side characters were great (Green's actor, Gun, love you <3 So hilarious XD You could tell he was genuinely getting a kick outta that role lmao. Also, Tine's friend group all shares half a brain cell and I was living for it. This show is great, when it DOESN'T try to be a BL. Yikes). The crew must have worked hard, and I can only hope the next BLs we get can top this. At least there's gonna be a sequel!

But, if S2 isn't 10x better and more natural I'm suing for damages. Peace out.

Sarawat and Tine are perfect together. They are both cute. The story is awesome and I want more!!!!!!

This is my first Thai BL story I watched, at first, I thought this is just a so-so series where that main characters do clumsy and act cute for the viewers. But man, I'm wrong. I got invested to it. I love how the characters are unapologetically in love with each other. I love how it was not overly sexualised like most of the gay films I watched. And less dramatic. They are just simply cute and lovin' it. No wonder this series trend and have so many fans. Bright and Win are so cute and act awesomely together.

I would really recommend this for everyone.

A Fallen Star

Things I appreciated:

1/ GMM always has a great budget behind their projects lately, and they also have good directors and staff in their company. As such, the drama's production value was good. The cinematography was very good, the background music was nicely placed and didn't feel overbearing, the editing of the scenes that were shown was done well as well.

2/ Win Metawin is a wonderful actor. His ability to act out emotional scenes was really impressive.

3/ Apart from him, most of the other actors such as Toptap, Gun (Gus), Mike, Khaotung, etc — also did a very good job at playing their roles.

Things I didn't like:

1/ Yes, Bright may be a very handsome individual and just watching him on the screen with the light just falling on his brown hair giving off a halo might just take everyone's breath away — but I can still not ignore the fact that he didn't do as well of a convincing job playing a man in love with Tine.

I think that Bright can do dark or grey roles very well. But playing a cute romantic role is still not something he has mastered, and then add his pair being a man.

He just couldn't do it well for me. He seemed like the weak link and had a choice of 2-3 expressions in his face all the time.

2/ Sarawat and Tine seemed more bromance than Chinese pairs in actual dramas tagged bromance like "Advance Bravely" and "The Untamed" — even though they smacked lips twice. Chemistry? Nowhere to be found if looked with open eyes. Level 100 delulu required.

Moreover, in the end, Wat made the mistake, then wrote a song that portrayed him as the victim, sang it in front of a large audience — again, making himself the victim — then pretended to act as if he was the hurt one and Tine was the heartless one. Sis. That was not fair.

3/ Man and Type were the only couple that was the highlight of this show. Even though they didn't even kiss once, their love and affections were more convincing than Sarawat and Tine whose chemistry was almost nonexistent.

4/ Mil and Kong should not have ended up together. Kong was just a second choice for Mil, and no one should be an option. Once again GMM has done FrankDrake major dirty.

5/ The drama seemed to deserve the hype for the first 1/3 of the drama. Then it just dropped down in quality (plot-wise and chemistry wise) and stared to feel underwhelming and overhyped.

6/ Also, while I enjoy some of Scrubb songs. I got tired of listening to Scrubbs entire discography by the end of this show.

That is all. If you enjoyed it, I am happy for you. For me, though, this is average. And overhyped.

I gave it a 7/10 even though the review thing suggests I give it a 7.5 for ManType.

If only the series was good as the lead’s faces! Such a let down.
I would suggest watching this series for these reasons :
1. Misery loves company, so watch n join my pain and disappointment.
2. The first few episodes were so good and almost made you believe that there was no COVID in this worldand gave you hope to live.
3. The lead actors are so good looking with beautiful hair.
4. Scrubb songs that you will be introduced to.
5. Last but not the least and the best reason - so you can understand and then read the reviews here and their comments, it’s hilarious. I wish one of these reviewers were the script writers.

2020 really is ruining everything, I don’t think we can blame the director or scriptwriters.
