I went in to this thinking "just another BL, nothing special" but already after Episode 1 [2/4] I knew this was something I'd look forward to every week. It's so wholesome, cute, beautiful and some comedy on top. I have to admit that I was a bit unsure after the first part of episode 1 but that feeling quickly left me and now I wake up every day, counting down the days until the next episode comes out. There's no toxic behaviour from any of the characters (so far, and I would be surprised if it didn't stay that way) and the way everything is played out is just beautiful. The way Tine (played by Win Metawin) isn't weird about same sex couples and himself is not shutting down possibilites is refreshing as many BL series doesn't have that.

The cast is really good but I have to talk about Bright Vachirawit (as Sarawat), Win Metawin (as Tine) and Gunsmile Chanagun (as Boss). The way Bright portrays the emotions of Sarawat is gold. You can clearly see how he's feeling the deeper into the show and plot we're going. For it being Win's first series, he's really professional and he's really delivering the overly energized Tine. As well as Bright, the deeper into the plot we're going, you can clearly see in his eyes what he's actually feeling despite him saying otherwise/nothing. As for Gunsmile, he never fails to bring up the mood. Hilarious guy and in all comedy roles I've seen him in, he's always delivering. He's playing Munggorn in Sotus and what's there not to love about the dude?

The OSTs are lovely. I haven't skipped the intro once, just so I get to hear one of the OSTs. All OSTs are on my spotify playlists and I actually said this to my friend today, "I love ALL the music so much, even these music "breaks" during some scenes. I just love it!". Not much to say about them more than that they're really great.

Will I ever rewatch it? Already have, twice. It's so wholesome and a really nice break from what's going on around in the world right now. 2gether had brought me nothing but genuine happiness (my mouth literally hurts from smiling!!) and I couldn't wish for anything else right now. With everything on the news, this weird situation where I'm doing online classes and my parents work from home every now and again, it's a really nice escape. Now that we're all pretty much stuck at home and can't really go out to meet friends every day, I recommend giving this show a shot. There's really nothing to lose.

Honestly, I'm off go rewatch it now. If I had to rate this out of all thai series I've ever watched, it's safe to say that it makes top 2. (Until We Meet Again still has my heart + it's different to compare 2gether and UWMA as they're so different)

I don't know where to start with this series. Novel of this series had so much detailed and very intense love scenes but in series it is way far from romance its just brotherly love and at star you will like their (bight and win) cute attraction to one another but after they are a couple you will just observe a brotherly love I mean me and my friends were discussing and every one agreed that at least there could have been an intensive kiss and small details like touching neck or checks and all that and the BIG MISTAKE was in LAST EPISODE I think it was filmed before even most of the episode when they had no chemistry thats why Last Episode had ZERO Chemistry. They ruined a greater story-line with good actors

This was the first BL I watched, so I held it in pretty high regard the first time that I watched it. This show has gotten a lot of hate since it's release, some of it is understandable.

Firstly, some of the actors get a lot of hate for this show but I don't think the acting is the problem. The characters in the show are pretty 2-Dimensional, we don't really know anything about them outside of what is happening in that moment. We do get some backstory with Sarawat, but it's just to show that he's been in love with Tine all this time. I love the cast so much, I think they did the best they could given their roles.

There's a lot of talk that this is more of a bromance than a BL, and I had a hard time understanding why until recently. But, I don't think it's for the reasons that many people think. First, sometimes I think people use the bromance criticism whenever there's not a lot of skinship in a drama. That's not the only reason some people call this a bromance drama, but it is part of it and in my opinion skinship doesn't make or break a drama. I think Bright gets a lot of hate for this role because he's "too straight to play a gay man" (which is ironic, because Bright isn't straight). Bright was not the one I had a hard time believing, sometimes it seems like Win doesn't feel comfortable playing a gay man. And not in a homophobic way, just in that this was his first big role and he had a hard time playing the part of a gay man. I will say, they definitely looked more comfortable playing a couple in Still 2gether. That isn't to say Win's acting is bad in 2gether, I actually think he did a great job. I just, personally, had a harder time believing Tine liked Sarawat compared to the other way around.

The unfortunate thing with this drama, was that it had a promising start and the writers added unnecessary drama in the end which ruined the drama for a lot of people. I was watching this when it was coming out, I remember watching fans' opinions change in real time because of the last two episodes. From my understanding, Pam wasn't even meant to be a villain from the books. They just made Tine jump to conclusions for no reason. I personally felt like Man and Type had a more satisfying ending than the main leads. I think the writers even recognized that, because they spent the first 20 or so minutes of Still 2gether explaining/justifying the end of 2gether.

Overall, I don't think it's the best BL ever, but it's a cute watch. It's kind of my baseline BL, simply because it was my first. It's not my favorite, but it's comforting to rewatch (as long as I pretend that it ends on episode 11).

Also, please understand that this review is based in my personal opinion.

Jumpy pacing, weird editing, Half-baked acting

Having heard so much about this one and how iconic of a BL it was, I really went into this with high expectations. And unfortunately, I was so disappointed.

The drama seemed off from the start. The dialogue is quippy — and almost constantly. There's barely any room for conversation that sounds natural or is more serious because they're always joking or making banter to upbeat music. I constantly felt like I was missing something, like the development between the characters was constantly skipping steps and we were rushing to get to the certain moments. I grew confused about what the relationships between characters were, like if there was a love triangle that suddenly appeared and disappeared.

I also think the editing for the show was off. It jumped from scene to scene, often giving me whiplash. I think the drama was in dire need of more "transition" scenes (think lingering on people just spending time together, cutting to empty sets, scenic views before going into the other plotlines). Instead the show sometimes would cut from one story directly to another during what seemed like in the middle of a scene. But other than that, even the editing for scenes sometimes seemed weirdly cut.

I also didn't really connect to the acting of any characters; part of this is because of the previous two comments — the pacing and dialogue didn't give the characters or actors time to marinate. The leads have their moments that really put a smile on my face, but other than that, I still didn't really feel that the emotional scenes were earned or convincing. The chemistry fluctuates. As for the side characters, I didn't care at all about their stories at all, and the chemistry also wasn't there.

I know most people were most disappointed by the ending and the lack of intimacy between the characters. I definitely do agree with this to some extent. Adding overblown drama in the form of a cliche misunderstanding in the penultimate episode really wasted time, especially when the plot point felt like something that should've come earlier. The truth is, though, that by the time I got there, I already didn't feel any stakes or emotional investment.

Overall, this is a drama that might've been big when it came out, but I've personally seen way better BLs — better plot, better chemistry — that have come out since then. Two that I've recently watched: Bad Buddy and Not Me.

WHY is this so popular?

no, sorry i just dont get it.
The story was below average. Pretty boring and it also brought nothing new to the table. I skipped quite a lot of scenes (the guitar scenes were the worst!)
and sooo much unnecessary drama.... and the kisses were so awkward. help.
I only finished it because it is so popular, but after finishing it, I can only call it overrated and overhyped as fuck!
It really does not deserve the success and attention it got.

The cast:
They are handsome and they are not bad at acting.
However, they had no connection with the characters whatsoever. It was just so bland.

Till the end, they did NOT seem like they were in love with eachother or like they were enjoying playing their characters.
This is more like a bromance than a romance. No chemistry.
(And everyone in the drama was going crazy over Sarawatts visuals (he is good looking of course) but because he is not my type at all, thats why all the fangirling was really weird and cringe for me to watch)
None of the side characters were memorable either. Most of them were cringe and gave me severe secondhand embarassment.

The music:
probably the best thing in this drama.

Conclusion:
i will not waste my time and rewatch it. I really see no reason to torture me again.
I can't recommend it. (unless you are looking for a bromance like cliché loverstory)
and if you watch it and find yourself not really enjoying it, just dont finish it. Nothing cool or sexy happens anyway.

How to make something good become no big deal.

2theger has a very promissing plot but it fails to serve its purpose.
The series starts very well, good acting, most of the cast is good looking, it presents the characters well and a very nice opening theme. But it stops there, the couple showed more chemistry when they were faking its relationship than we they were actualing dating, the plot itself started to not make sense from there. If the series had overed on the episode which Salawak asks Tine to be his boyfrind would've been better.

And Mil, omg he's bad and a freaking stalker, and in the end he just ended with his consolation prize, Phukong. Upsetting that's the word, Mil does a lot of bad thing and makes Phukong as a second option. By the way Phukong has absolutely no pride, THE FUCKING BOY YOU LIKE IF FUCKING TRYING TO STEAL YOUR BOTHER'S BOYFRIEND WTF GIRL YOU DESERVE BETTER... sorry this part really gets me.

Anyway I hope in the second season Sarawak and Tine show more afection towards each other and Mil get what he deserves which is eternal lonliness.

Really enjoyed the OST !!!

i kept on seeing 2gether on twitter since march and i really had no intention to watch it but out of boredom i just said fuck it and here we are. it was good from ep 1-11 and it went downhill fast during the the last 2 episodes. i'm just gonna pretend it ended at ep 11 and ep 12-13 was a fever dream.

brightwin's chemistry was BURNING when sarawatine were fake dating to the point i was literally giggling everytime they were together onscreen but the production team didn't take advantage of it till the end. when they became a real couple, they started to look like bros turned roommates who like to jokingly flirt with each other sometimes. we didn't even get to see them cuddle on their own bed at their own apartment when they've cuddled on a small ass couch twice. the writers really had a lot of missed chances for showing intimacy between the couple- the bus scene on ep 11 for example where sarawat confessed how much he liked tine for a year, searching for him at every scrubb concert and tine finally saying he truly likes him back and no affectionate touches happened when it was their chance bc they were finally all alone!!! i'm not even talking abt makeouts or bed scenes. i would've totally gushed at a forehead/cheek kiss or holding hands.

win really won me over all throughout the show tbh. he did quite well considering he had no prior acting experience and his bashful smiles are just too adorable lol. bright was good as sarawat bc he embodies the idgaf attitude of sarawat but i admit at some moments in the later episodes, he seemed awkward acting romantically with win. idk if this is bc of the poor script/direction or bright himself but i just felt it. i wouldn't mind seeing brightwin on another BL series but i really hope they build up their comfortability with e/o more and get a better written storyline next time.

what i liked abt 2gether: the series
- it was fun and lighthearted, something we all could enjoy in these stressful times
-win's acting
-type and man's relationship
-sarawat's cheesy one liners lmao
-tine getting all shy and blushy when sarawat flirts with him

what i disliked abt 2gether: the series
-lack of intimacy when sarawatine became a real couple
-poor writing and direction on the last 2 episodes
-portraying females as psychotic, crazy fans and objectification of female bodies
-making a female be the source of conflict for the main couple ONCE AGAIN. there is always a girl throwing herself at one party and the other party gets jealous and insecure causing the main couple to breakup. it's such an overused plot device in BLs and a lazy way to create conflict for the main couple.
-mil's entire character. he keeps on talking about tine as if he's an object, not a person. he sees tine as a trophy he could get to be better than sarawat and that's messed up. also, pursuing phukong in the end as a consolation prize bc tine chose to get back together w/ sarawat like what???
-the subplots felt extremely underdeveloped and hastily concluded
-lack of communication on tine's part in ep 12

all in all, 2gether was still pretty enjoyable and easy to watch if u want smth lighthearted and if u're not too particular abt plot direction. i rarely rewatch shows no matter how much i liked a series so i gave it a low rewatch rating but if i wanted to relive the series in my mind, i could easily just watch fanedits of sarawatine's romantic moments on youtube.

Overhyped

This has been slandered enough so I'll summarise:
Was it cute? At times but those were few and far between.
The actors? Great eye candy but their acting left a lot to be desired.
Chemistry? Zero. They might as well be straight best friends.
Plot? Okay until the ex gf was introduced
The ending? Wasn't a fan. It angered me because up until then it wasn't great but afterwards it was almost intolerable.

It deserves all the slander it gets and honestly it is only as popular as it is because the leads are attractive.
It's an inoffensive mid at it's best series🤷🏾‍♀️

why they have more chemistry when they werent 2gether? (ba dum tsh)

i quite literally will never understand how they had much better chemistry in the beginning. the only explanation i can give is the popularity and uncomfortableness bringing an uptick bc of it. because otherwise the show was so cute in the beginning. the scene with the car and the bike iw as proud of—rom com-y and very 10 things (which they also reference again. hate that movie, but i loved the tropes from there here.)

and i guess yu get kind of blindsided. i didn't watch it because they were attractive—i hate that actors have to be when your charm and shine and attractiveness will shine absolutely through with your character and actors are hired not for looks but because of the way they move themselves and are able to act and that they have striking faces for the camera but we are not reliant on looks we fall in love with the people they play. but that takes too much time—but that certainly helped and their acting while not great was much better than what i had seen.

the couch scene was the last thing i remember that made me feel good about it. the pandemic was also starting up and i feel like so many of us got attached to it for that reason, truly, because my feelings about watching the show will always remember that and how difficult this time was. i can't rewatch ITSAY and i am not watching the sequel because it reminds me of that time so heavily and the show was already gut-wrenching for me. when i think back on this one i'm just like "....wow...so that was a thing in my eyeballs huh?" and i'm like damn at least it helped me a little. but what the fuck happened? i never watched all of the last episode and i saw the high 5 but from that to the special eps you start to truly realize the insane cracks in them and this relationship and the story. you look back with a different mindset and when you go to watch it's like glaringly obvious that they are embarrassed to be there and have no clue what they are doing.

on top of that: no, no one needs to fuck or kiss or whatever so we know the love but considering they make jokes and imply it and we get 0 z e r o indication of any deeper intimacy when they ARE in a relationship and /move in together/ and for the special supposedly being together for 2 years. i'm flabbergasted at that point it really was: WHY are you living together, do you people not touch each other??????? like what even was that?? when you see people you can get a feel of their interpersonal relationships so you can generally tell if someone is a sibling, friend, partner and for them it's like just two guys (5 feet apart in a hot tub....) just being there and everyone saying "see theyre in love" but bish wheryuuuurrrrrr and they "kiss" and "have sex" but they can't hold hands? that's an indication that they think intimacy = physicality; this is a pitfall for most media but especially when it is with men and geared towards women (as opposed to women focusing on women and a woman also directing these things) for BL. we saw them kiss in the special and that was appalling to me. truly one of the worst things ever because i felt nothing. but these shows think just cos just because they are physical FINALLY after work and no nbuild up with intimacy that we are now getting some sort of reward. this is all about expediency and getting otu as much money as they can but couldn't they have done a bit more to make it believable? (no so why bother when you can just have money)

i do not understand this show at all and i can't believe we watched something light fun and lovely and now all my memories are soooooooo embarrassed it's just fucking cringe man just cringe so awkward lol. god capitalism sucks smh

a lil extra aaside: for the love of god can men just stop calling each other feminine stuff or having chars play more feminine so we can tell which role they have in the rship. it is insulting, misogynist, transphobic, probably all the other -ists and it is especially annoying when something that is used between male couples as a joke (which i think is fine as long as women arent fucking implicated) and something for them and for their intimacy and rship you just have a bunch of beige walls being annoying about gender roles and penises WE GET IT we get it we get it women? NO. men? ok!

I would've given the series 5.5/10 if it had much, much less hype. 2gether was my second BL drama I ever watched after Addicted in 2016. I had high expectations because fans often claim it to be the best BL series ever. I could still enjoy the series after watching the first five or so episode even though the story is very generic and childish.

But after episode 10, it became really hard for me to enjoy the series. I initially thought that, if this is the best BL dramas out there, then I feel really sorry for the gays. This series is very shallow and badly directed. It's like watching two good-looking guys being forced by their fangirl friends to date each other on camera despite them being.....straight.

Thank God I made the right decision to explore any other BL series instead of judging the whole genre from one bad apple. For those who come to watch 2gether because of the hype and end up getting disappointed, please explore other BL dramas. I almost gave up but thankfully I decided to look past 2gether and try to watch some other underrated ones.

Overrated but still a enjoyable Show

This is my first review, on this Site. I’m not a native Speaker so please judge my Review not too hart.

So 2gether is a special show, is it overrated? Yes. Is the Plot ridiculous? Definitely...but in the end it works! And the huge success of this series makes the BL-Genre famous all over the place.
The reason, in my opinion, is the unbeliviable Chemistry of the both main actors, where you can see tenderness in every action of them both.

But yes when you see it critically, this series has nothing to do with reality and should be more seen as romantical Dream.
And the alleged Bi-Curiosity about the main actors in RL is just queerbaiting and Fanservice at its best
(I mean C‘,mon this puts Gay for Pay to another Level)
When you remind this all, it’s a enjoyable Show and at least all the gay guys get their unrealistic, overromantical Lovestory like the Straight People get it since beginning of time

A cute BL story

this was my first ever BL series to watch and it didnt disappoint. if you're looking for smth light and cute with lots of flirting, this is it!

i really loved the acting and character developpment .. the little details were so touching to me. the music is a big part of this series and for me it had so much impact. Sarawat's character was my favourite and i don't even know why.

I don't want to talk about the disappointment that is the ending scene but i must mention the sweet moments they had in this because it deserves much more recognition.
