i like the series. the story was somehow good and the actors' performance was great. But when you start watching episodes 11 to 13, i felt bad for the story for it does feel like it's on the rush. Especially for me that I've read the novel and there are some parts that was kinda robbed from us. Again, the story was good but if you're going to ask me if this series was worth to watch again. Then, my answer is probably no. Because there are some series out there with a greater story than this. And probably deserves more recognition than this. I guess it became popular especially here in the Philippines because of the actors. And the upcoming tagalized version of this was bad. they kinda ruined the series, I hope if they're going to dub more series like this, I hope they use great voice actors like on the other t.v. network here. Still this series was still one of my faves. I hope the special 5 episodes would redeem themselves to me. I'm just kinda not satisfied about the ending.

The series deviated a bit from the source material but that's the same in most cases with dramas. The story-line is a bit cliche and kind of predictable but nonetheless it is still enjoyable. It's a rather lighthearted series overall with the inclusion several problems.

The inclusion of the Scrubb songs as ost are absolutely amazing and well-done per the novel. Bright as well as has a great voice, and I'm glad they gave him 2 songs for the series.

It's obvious to me that most people watched the drama for the visuals of Bright and Win but their acting are decent as well. Especially Win for giving an outstanding crying performance in one scene towards the later episodes. It was emotional and I as well as others felt the connection with his character. He even received praise from experts within the field despite this series being his first work.

What I dislike about BL series, or those I've recently watched, is the inclusion of a side pairing like 2-3 episodes before the series end. I would like to see the side pairings development close to the beginning as well. In the case of 2gether, Type's and Man's coupling was hinted from the beginning but it took the final episode for them to officially be together. I'm happy for it but I would like the series to be invested in that coupling as much as any other "official" couple. It was the same situation in Theory of Love with Two and Un towards the ending of the series.

A lot of people are upset that the Sarawat and Tine had a bromantic story near the end rather than actually love. I'd like to refute that since when was an intimate scene necessary for them to show their love although I'd admit the high-five towards the end was a bit awkward. We've known for several episodes that they indeed love one another so what's more to prove it? A kiss? A hug? However, let's remind ourselves that the scenes are not shot in order so the ending scenes were probably shot before several other proceeding scenes (i.e. the camping scenes was apparently shot last) which gives the atmosphere of awkwardness.

Rather than a second season, I'd want a new series with the 2 main instead since I'm rather satisfied with the way the story ended. A second season would be an invitation to mess what has been established already meaning more unnecessary drama and conflicts, however, a spin-off with Type and Man wouldn't be bad since it gives way to explore their relationship.

Overall, the story was rather simple but executed fine. There weren't any loose ends which satisfies the story.

I am a mixture of happiness and sadness. This drama had great potential to become my favorite, but the production of the latest episodes screw up the story for me. The first few episodes I was loving too much and I was full of hope... good times. Still, I liked the ending. It was certainly not what I was expecting, much more drama and conflict than necessary (in my opinion). The last part of the last episode was what saved the drama for me, I ended up surrendering to cuteness and remembering the good times where I used this drama as an escape. The cast was one of my favorite things, it was Win's first bl and he did a great job, and I also liked Bright's performance. I see myself re-watching all episodes soon hahaha

About a second season, I would prefer it not to happen. I think if they are going to create a new plot they could ruin the story for me. Even if I don't want to, if a second season happens, I'll probably watch it hahaha I know myself

Sawarat and Tine relationship was so different from BL's I have watched. Everyone thinks they hated each other but Sawarat fell in love with Tine the second he laid eyes on him. I found them faking dating was cute just to get rid of Green but turned into a relationship. Some people who say they act like brothers I don't believe so. Not every BL couple has to be kissing and sex. For me their relationship was more bubbly and light. Probably what the director wanted to show. I was hearted broken when Sawarat started acting all different when Pam came around but his love for Tine was never gone. It was simply a misunderstanding and I love the ending of the other side couples and Sawarat teasing Tine in music club. They really are the cutest couple there was no toxic energy from the main couple. I recommened watching it and I will be watching it over. Bright who played Sawarat did a great job of doing the flirting and jealousy. Win who played Tine omg his smile is everything they just suit each other just like MewGulf in a different way.

So I started this series with no expectations since I didn't even know the actors (aside from Drake, Frank, Mike and TopTap), but I ended up loving it.
I see a lot of people hating on it because it "lacks" certain elements that are "supposed" to be included in BL. Listen y'all, if you are coming to this series thinking you'll find typical cliche stuff, don't even try. This series gives you everything from great acting to great music. People hate on it because "it lacks kissing and explicit scenes", like come on y'all that's not what this is about. I love how the series ended up being more towards the characters rather than topics. They didn't touch on rape (I'm so grateful they didn't because every BL is full of it and it paints our community as predators), they didn't touch on woman being painted as "bad" or "sl*ts", it just focused on two guys who are trying to figure out themselves. The acting is great, the script is not confusing (a lot of BLs are really trying way too hard to be something they shouldn't) and the music is just perfect. If you are coming into this thinking you'll find annoying characters, characters who do not bring anything to the series then go somewhere else. This series is a complete one, it does not misses any point, and for those of you who are not part of the LGBTQ+ community, please stop asking for "s*x and kiss scenes" as if the whole series should be about that.
Hoping for a second season and i need a continuation of ManxType, Bright and Win did a great job and I'm proud of it. 10/10.
12/30/2021: No because Mike and Toptap not being friends... waaah.

An Expected Disappointment that I never wished.

I want to say something first personally.

My memories save the first 10 episodes only as the best vibes and assumed the last 3 episodes are nothing to do with the 2gether the series.

I think that almost all of us feel SOTUS vibes from earlier episodes of 2gether series. This is one of the reason what I like about 2gether Story.

It has the charm , heart warming feeling and the vibes that will stay deep inside after knowing the whole story. We loved the characters and the preciousness of storylines.

What this re-scriptwriting series lack is the essential elements from original storyline and the refreshness of their (production team) stereotyped mind. I think that they though making such a fun ,cute and meaningful storyline into melodrama on last minutes can hit among series fans and the connection between series and fans could become stronger ?

I think the answer "No " will come out alltogether.
I can accept that 2gether team is making the series to feel something different from what we've seen as spoilers on everywhere. The biggest mistakes is the non-consistency of main chracters.

The worst things is changing PAM charactes into female vallain to hit melodrama at the last minutes. I think PAM characters in the series is very cheap, the most hateable one that I've ever seen on BL series and also making non sense at all.

And again, the scriptwriter and producing team chose and used SARAWAT from the novel and they never value that character. They're destroying it after every episode and then when the Ep 12 is arrived, the SARAWAT we all know is not there anymore. And Tine too. Tine hugging Mil who is trying to flirt with him and also knowing that , he hugged back . That things were totally ununderstandable.

It had the potential to become top tier BL series among all after earlier episode but still they choose their way not to become like that by disrespecting the depth of characters and original story.

Overall , I can't help but I gotta say this is the flop series. It's not that the actors have no chemistry and also series was not overrated at all in the beginning. The thing is actors had more chemistry on the beginning ( fake dating) and after each episodes that chemistry is slowly fading away till it hits final episodes. The chemistry on Final episode is more like brother rather than couple and every happpenings on episode 11 (especially on) 12 are not the things that the one who deeply in love with one another would never do. SARAWAT would never turn his back on Tine, let Tine running away crying and give priority to stay still and clear things out with PAM first on that place, let Tine to take way by other guy who also is flirting tine , not checking to hospital when Tine was seriously ill and so many other mess on. He's not that kind of guy and Tine is not the kind of hugging back eveyone. PAM also is not the destroyer and cheap type of girl.

The earlier episode made me to find original story desperately because I couldn't bare to wait coming episodes every friday and when I found and read whole story I've became official diehard fan of 2gether the story. The first 3 episode made me that kind of person. Meaning that the series had so much potential and I gave too much hope on this.

But let's say what if I put aside that hope , I think this series is still fun and enjoyable one but on basic level. SARAWAT-TINE or BRIGHT-WIN make every BL fan's friday brighter and more fun then usual. They stayed in our heart. It's obvious that Director P'Champ tried his best and did all with goodwill so that I don't wanna put blames on him. Because everybody will need something to fix forever as no one can be perfect.Win also tried his best and the result came out excellently even though his is the newest one in there. Bright also have deep and clear minded and is work-hard actors. The rest of the acting crew took full responsibility on thier own character. Without the Original stroyline, Actors and Directors , this series could become a total mess on the highest level with that kind of narrow-mined producing team and lazy ,stereotyping and disrespecting scriptwriting.

Other thing that I wanna point out one more time is
"Tine " Titled song should be cute, romatic love song (at least I assumed like that) but it came out as confusing sad song. Don't get me wrong because I loved that song right away after they premiered. I'm just pointing out this song is completely not suitable to become "Tine" song making me think that this also is one of the biggest mistakes.

Beside all of the things I mentioned above, The series is still enjoyable and scrubb's songs are way beyond superb. The music , directing (ep1-10) and acting are superb ( for me) or at least it's more than worth watching. I gave 9.5 score after 5 episode and now I reduced it down to 8.0 very sadly. I didn't expect that and still I don't want to do that kind of lowering rating. This is the very first time that I reduced my rating .This may be the result of hoping too much on something.

I found the story cute, funny, and unique. Compared to other BL series, this one has a very strong discreet gender of the characters that to the point viewers may think that they are Men (It can be seen on some of the episodes that the roles have a distinct character and interests; one was a chic boy who's a fan of a certain male band and the other one was a football player who greatly interested in music ). Gender issues in the series where not really that too problematic that to the point they accept different preferences (So, boy-love may easily exist here in the series). Viewers must not take this too seriously on watching this type of series because this was all about too much comedic, Musical, and Drama of Romance which can be seen in further episodes.

I thought the story was too musical to the point that characters may sing impromptu somewhere places like how western movies does in the musical genre. But it was not, it gives the story unique because although it is musical, the characters and setting's feelings express through music (the highlight of the story). They used the songs of SCRUBB (a Thai band) which gives the film workers many challenges on how they make a story that will connect music. So, as a viewer, of course, I must not only rely upon watching the scenes where they used a song, I must also read the lyrics of the song to feel the scenes where they used a song. That is how the story unique. You need to feel by watching it. Plus, they used the song correctly on every scene. SCRUBB's songs have a very unique type of music. Its genre was Britpop, Chill-Out Music, and indie-pop which is not that very loudly and annoying to the viewers/listeners. I have read some of the articles about music that "listeners may easily absorb the music when the music is slowly/chill". They really made me amazed because they choose the right music and a good band.

The romance was not that too complicated to understand yet the love they mean is too broad to the point that viewers also need to reconsider what really was happening during some scenes. Some critics I have read was "viewers also needed to understand how the characters handled their feelings when it comes to love". This was some scenes were not really specified the reality of loving. But, this is not really the important part of the story because the characters always find their solutions just to be ended by their love-ones (which yes they ended at the ending part)

The acting was best especially to Win Metawin! this is his first project on the film industry and he nailed it! his acting was very impressive. His emotions are very contagious to the viewers. Bright's acting also was impressive, especially he portrays a character that similar to him which is a musician and a football player. BrightWin's chemistry was too strong in this series! they do not need to present something just to express their sparks and love. Although the kissing was not done too professionally but simple yet it gives viewers romantic excitement!. I love how they present the small gestures in loving because it signifies my definition of intimacy.

Other supporting roles gives also colors in the series. ManType, MillPhukong, and DimGreen, which gives enjoyment so that viewers may not get bored. Their chemistry was strong in the latter part which gives me an idea that I regretted not appreciating them in the first half of the series. I want them to be more exposed in the series but yea this is really not the important part in the series. Other roles also did their job well done too.

The story is very different from the Novel

For the first 6 episodes, I am already hooked by it. especially the main actors. They really both have the chemistry and their charisma is outstanding. If you like a snobbish and mysterious type of guy then go to Bright/ Sarawat. But if you want a guy who looks like he has a kind heart, boy next door and the one that your parents will approve for you to be with, then its definitely Win/Tine. But then you really need to finish the whole episodes because in that way you can make your judgement especially the ending. I am kind of dissapointed and the impact has been lessen of their chemistry has not been strong than before.

Below are my opinions in every rating. If you read novel or even the summary of the story then this is a WARNING for you because will be dissapointed and you will just want to curse the director and the network who created it.

Story: The best at first! I feel like I am also part of it and I always smile whenever they are together. But then when you know the glimpsed of what happened in the novel you will see that GMM-TV really change the plot and I say the whole and IMPORTANT PLOT of the story which is very dissapointing. You will feel that you will loose track from episode 11- 13. Not a good move.

Acting/Cast: Well Cast is perfect no argumentation needed. But I want to be honest when it comes to their acting. Please do not get me wrong though, they are REALLY GOOD! However like any other BL series, I want to see the true expression of sadness and tears whenever it is needed and that is what is lacking in every BL series to the point that sometimes, as a viewer, I cannot feel the momentum to the point that my emotions will become pale and will made me realize that it is a purely act and not real. well its not yet complete so I cannot judge but I hope this time if ever there is a need of sad emotions, both Win and Bright will bring justice to it.

Music: well thank god there is a subtitle and what I like about BL Series specially the ones from Thailand is that they are making sure that the music compliments with the story and it blended so well. For that Kudos!

Re-watch Value: Yes but not this year or maybe until episode 10 only. Rest of the episodes really sucks!

Overall: Now I know the reason why you need to wait for the series to be finish, so that you can really give a good criticism about the series that you have watched and I say that I am really dissapointed with its ending. I still hoping though that there will be season 2 because there are lots missing piece in the story. And come on, how come the ending has not been close with a good kiss.

Let me start off by saying- all shows that I start to watch, I go in with the full ten stars. It's when the shows progresses over the episodes, my ratings may change or they will stay the same. As for the year 2020, I have yet to given a full ten stars for a series that was made in 2020 and completed in 2020. This series is the same. It started off sooo good for me that I honestly thought that I would give it a ten as well as I thought it would dethrone Sotus as the BL King for me. This was not the case, though.

Story- 8/10
While this story has been told already with Love Sick and My Boy of a fake relationship that then turns into a real one, 2gether the series started off differently. I loved the interaction between the leads and the progress of their 'relationship' throughout every episode- I actually felt giddy and happy by it! (Especially when you just had Sarwat dropping these pick up lines on such a clueless Tine as well as his constant obsession with Tine's chest). Yes, I know that there were some editing issues here and there, but it didn't really effect the story for me, in my opinion. The friends of both of Sarwat and Tine made it enjoyable as they add the comic relief as well as some wise words to the story. I also loved Green! I didn't like him in the beginning, cause I thought that his character was annoying and pushy, but he grew on me! I am gonna miss him! What got me annoyed about this series was episode twelve. Pam was introduced and we now have someone coming in on the second to last episode to confess her love to Sarwat. If whoever wrote the script and the director had just placed this part like some episodes before, I wouldn't hate it as much as I did last week. I still feel like this plotline was not needed for the boys (as it is so used up in BL series so much that it is starting to annoy me!) However, the boys were able to overcome this obstacle and be boyfriends in the end!
I might add that also in that dreaded episode twelve, I didn't like how the supporting couples were treated as Type treated Man like crap. However, he made it up in the final episode and made me so happy for them. I still think that Mil doesn't deserve Phukong and no one is gonna change my opinion about that!

Acting/Cast-9.5/10
I have stated this since this series started, I was highly impressed by the acting skills of both Bright and Win, as this was both boys first leading role in a series (Win's first acting gig). They entertained me when they were Sarawat and Tine and I felt like their acting was on another level for me. And the supporting characters brought their acting skills as well! I totally loved the screen time (no matter how little) that I got of Green, Man, Boss and Tine's friends! They made this series so much enjoyable for me!

Music- 10/10
Now! I have said this in my previous reviews- music is neither here or there to me in these series, cause I honestly do not pay attention to it-like AT ALL. This was not the case for me with this series. There are only three other OST songs that I will have in a loop in my head from Thai dramas that I may even burst out singing a line to. These are the OST for My Ambulance, the OST for UWMA and the closing OST for The Moment. And now there is 2gether the series opening AND closing songs. I usually skip the intro of series and just jump into the episodes, as I have no real care for the music. That was not the case with 2gether the series. I will play the opening and closing for every episode and hum along with the songs. This series also introduced me to Scrubb, who have excellent music. The soundtrack for this series is one of the best that I have seen in awhile.

Rewatch Value-9/10
Not gonna lie, from episode one to ten- I re watched the same week that it came out, cause of how the story enticed me with their plotline and their acting. However, it lost me a bit on eleven and totally lost me on twelve (thirteen got me back, though). Because of that- the rewatch value went down a bit for me. There is still no hesitation that I will rewatch episodes one to ten and thirteen like that! For the other two-I will have to get the strength and energy to watch them, especially episode twelve.

Overall-9/10
This series was good! I enjoyed it, especially episodes one to ten and thirteen. I will definitely recommend this for others to watch.

Most heartwarming thing I have ever seen.

I started this Series before it was finished, because people were saying it was as good as if not better than Tharntype. So I started it with extremely high expectations. And while a lot of people were disappointed by the end I will say I disagree. Yes I was disappointed by the fact that there was too little action, or non at all, however, the overall story was just so cute and heart warming that it honestly didn’t ruin my feel for the series at all.

The actors both did a great job in conveying their characters, especially Bright (Sarawat) I just felt his every expression, every action and absolutely bought his character. For Win (Tine) it took me some time to warm up, but that’s most likely due to the fact that he plays quite the passive character, so it needed like a turn point where he was really able to show his acting skills in terms of conveying feelings to the audience. Once this was given I was absolutely convinced by him as well.

Now to the story line: like I said above, this one had one of the cutest most heartwarming stories I have ever seen. My heart literally burst with love and warmth in so many scenes... this for me made up for any missing action. Especially since we now know there will be a second season were we may hope for the making up of all the missing action in the first season.

However, I will say that this too is a series where one person is more of the “giver” and the other one the “taker” which usually kind of bothers me, but with this one it didn’t bother me as much because the “giver” was so extremely lovable that it made up for the frustration sometimes caused by the “taker”. This is probably the only part that bothers me though: the one lead obviously loves the other and has never done anything to hurt or betray the other, and still somehow he seems to be the only one who has to apologise and put effort into the relationship.. this makes the relationship dynamic quite unequal.

Lastly I want to mention the soundtrack: I usually give an average rating for music or rate it according to how much I remember it, since music was a big part of this series I obviously remember it quite well, and I have to say it played nicely into the Series and it’s overall feel. I saved most of the Songs into my playlist!

So this is definitely a Drama I advice to have seen. You may like it or you may not, For me it was absolutely heart warming. I am excited for the second season (I usually am not a big fan of second seasons, however because of the lack of action in the first season, I am really excited to see what they come up with for the second). I would not at all compare it to Tharntype though, because the two are just completely different things. Both good in their own way.

OVERRATED

I was so excited for this to come out when they announced that there’s going to be a series. For someone who loves Jittirain and most especially Theory of Love. I can’t even contain my disappointment for how this turned out.

The review that I’ll be giving is for the series itself and not the novel.

STORY - The story was... inconsistent. Okay, yes it was light and there’s only butterflies in your stomach when you watch the first few episodes but there are a few double standards for this one.

First of all, i don’t like how Green is pushing himself to Tine when Tine clearly said no already. On top of that, it’s bizarre to even think about that Tine’s initial response to that situation is “get a fake boyfriend” like— what even is that? Also, what Green did to Tine is basically the same thing Tine did to Wat, not to mention the stalking, harrasing in bathrooms and even going as far as joining the music club just to make Wat agree to be his fake boyfriend. IT WAS A MESS. Tine and Sarawat’s relationship? A MESS. There was no substance or anything. It was a bromance, not romance.

I’m not gonna go into details about Man’s catfishing incident because that’s pretty much self explanatory. PhukongMil deserves so much better. Unlike other bl series that pays attention to side pairings/couples, this is the only series that confused me the most with regards to this. The series literally paid PhukongMil dust.

ACTING/CAST — I’ll be reviewing Win and Bright only. As a rookie actor, Win Metawin definitely didn’t disappoint. Given that there could be so much improvement, considering this is his first series or acting role, it was pretty much okay to me. He can definitely portray the bubbly and outgoing personality of Tine, I think he would be a promisinga actor in the future.

As for Bright, man I don’t know what happened with this one. This is not his first series, i’m not sure if he’s uncomfortable with the idea that it’s bl or if he just didn’t get enough workshop. I mean, sure he can portray that kinda snob popular guy but other than that, he’s so... lifeless. His facial expressions are always awkward and he really really looks uncomfortable acting in love with a man.

This is why the industry really needs to hire ACTUAL LGBT+ people and not straight men, but oh well.

MUSIC — as someone who doesn’t understand Thai, Scrubb’s songs are definitely AWESOME. I have no words for the OST by Max Jenmana, it was catchy. The story itself is somehow based upon scubb songs so all in all, SCRUBB superior. Kinda like Eraserheads of the Philippines.

REWATCH VALUE - If you asked me if this one on the first few episodes then my answer would be yes, i would love to rewatch it. But like i said, the series lost its spark halfway through the series and it’s a very bad adaptation of the novel. If there’s some clips on twitter or youtube then yes, I would watch bits of it but if it’s the entire series, I don’t think I want to go through all of that awkward acting of Bright and getting confused with the inconsistent story line.

It was decent.. The first half of this series held promise but once the main couple got together, it became platonic!? How... ironic? Anyway, overall this series had its MOMENTS. Great acting from most of the cast and the side couples were lovely as well. Soundtrack was well suited -props to the novelist... All in all, i wouldnt rewatch. If i were to, it'd only be certain parts. Ive watched many bls over the last decade and ive held my favorites close to my heart and have rewatched and can still rewatch the entire thing. Sadly, this will not be one of them.
