A really sweet and heartwarming story

At first I was really attracted by the synopsis, but a little bit afraid at the same time, because those kind of scripts can be either really good or just...

But wow, I didn't regret watching this, it was worth my time. The story is just soft, cute, and made me feel so much emotions. I liked how every support character had his role in the story, and how their background were slowly unveiled.

I also really liked the chemistry between the actors, and how they were really greats. I was already a fan of Jeon SoNee, and I've seen Park SangNam and Kim DoHoon in others dramas too, so I was excited by the cast! and they didn't fell under my excpectations that was really brilliant!

The OSTs too were really good, a big plus to watch it! And I feel like the length was just good. Kdramas always seems either too long or too short at some times, you feel like things were precipited, or that they added some scenes just to fill in the blanks. But here, it was perfect.

If I had a conclusion to make, just watch it, it's really worth it. The story unfolds well, you feel emotions... Definitely not a waste of time! Obviously a 10/10 for my part!

One Plagiarizing Deitiy

I stumbled across this drama & finished it in one sitting. It was well-produced and well-paced for 10 episodes. Personally, I would have loved to see it as a sixteen-episode drama. There might be some references to other dramas like Goblin, but I believe the drama shines on its own. Its a pleasant drama to pass time & was honestly the highlight of my day~

The story includes similar tropes found in other K-dramas (lots of rainy scenes, fate, first love, etc), but it was still an entertaining drama. It's a rather basic plotline so I wasn't expecting much. I did find it more interesting as the drama went all, especially halfway through the drama where we learn how the ML and FL are intertwined in the latter epsidoes. However, the ending was a tad disorganized. The ending was honestly expected—a little bittersweet—but it isn't very clear. I have so many lingering questions after episode ten. Also, usually for dramas with plotlines like this, the ending really draws the audience in emotionally. I did not really felt as emotionally drawn in. Like the transitions were awkward. I did like the little snippets of clips they include at the end of some episodes. However, I felt as though the clips at the end of episode ten were nice but inconclusive. I can't help but wonder if there are any plans for a sequel? Also, I found it strange how Jung Ba Reum was suddenly irrelevant. He was so heavily used to drive the plot but then ends up being dropped until returning for like the last two episodes. I just felt like the last episode could have been better executed. TRUTHFULLY, I WISH THIS DRAMA WAS LONGER!! IT HAD POTENTIAL!

The cast did a pretty good job. It's the acting you would get in a high-quality web drama. They did do an excellent show acting out the uber fake, dramatic scenes—they were awkward, to say the least. I wouldn't say the chemistry between the main couple was off the chart, but it was decent especially in the later episodes. I also really enjoy the friendship between the two deities & wish there were even more scenes! They're so fun together and it was so cute to learn just how much Myung valued the friendship. I also found the mother so adorable and would have loved to see more scenes of the mother-daughter duo. The CG is also not bad for a drama, it could be worse. The OST was nice! I liked Time Machine & If it's fate, the most! All-in-all, since I speed through it this time, I personally would rewatch this in the future. Would recommend~

Love conquers all

Full disclosure, I think I may be in love with Ki Do Hoon.

Fan-girling aside, the amount of sympathy and other emotions coming from emotionless gods, entities willing to die for their humans, had me swooning as I watched this. It's not perfect. It's not intriguing. It has plot holes and a lot of fill-in-the-blanks with your own imagination as to how we got here. But it is self-reflective. It's sweet, and a little bit romantic. A lot of people compare it to Goblin, and I can see the similarities (Goblin being one of my favorite dramas of all time), but at the same time I never once thought to make that comparison while I was watching. Scripting Your Destiny is a sweet little drama all on it's own, and worth watching.

enjoyable

●FIRST IMPRESSION
Firstly I was enticed due to the synopsis but later on, the romedy just ran through each episode keeping me hooked for the next episode. This drama gave major Goblin(2016) vibes because of its similarity in the scenes. And you know how deep of an impression Goblin has on the audience,
So I gave my 4hours and 30 minutes to this beautiful drama and binged it in one sitting. Maybe creators have been inspired by that drama or may be involved in it.

●PLOT VIEW
I loved the cliche plot of deity and human which eventually turned into a star-cross, But then it didn’t take 20 episodes to tell it. The script was composed nicely with light moments with a little dramatization.

●ACTING
Jeon So Nee is a new actress but her portrayal of the FL is so endearing. Her range of emotions goes from tear-jerking to comical. She is such a refreshing new talent. The only thing I didn’t like was her curly hairstyle.
Ki Do Hoon showed an intense hardworking, jealous deity who knows nothing about the human world. His facial expressions were spot on.

●MUSIC
It was good and upbeat making the whole mood and made the scenes more enjoyable.

●REWATCH
This drama can be rewatched fully due to its short duration. I will definitely watch my favorite moments.

●AFTERTHOUGHTS
everyone writes their own destiny whether it's a deity or a human. Everyone can change their own fates and No deity can stop you from changing it.

This was a really enjoyable watch. Destiny stays very light-hearted and fluffy and not particularly heavy or deep most of it's run. This works really well, because the story does each of these things really well without feeling like it lacks too much substance. But then the drama surprises you in the last few eps with some genuine depth and great plot development and a very good talent at making you feel all the feels. (And booooy did I feel all the feels.) The rules of the magic system are a little bendy at times (particularly in the latter half), changing when it suits whatever is currently happening, but it all ultimately serves the story in the right ways. I particularly love the twist that the one who is fated is able to change the fate in their book if they manage to get their hands on it, as it creates a very interesting dichotomy between the role of the gods of destiny (and who/whatever is behind them), and the people whose fates are being written.

My one quibble with this drama would be the ending. Chae Kyung has the opportunity to do just this thing, and she could have written in her book that she and Ho Yoon got to be together. There's no specified rule that says she Can't do this, especially if Ba Reum can decide he doesn't need a god of destiny anymore at all, and there's no story reason for why she Wouldn't do this. So why doesn't she do it? Why does she choose to have the same heartbreak repeated endlessly throughout her life ultimately causing her (and Ho Yoon) endless pain when she had the option to simply...not do that? Full stop, that's not romantic. That's self-mutilation. Personally, if I made it into the hall of fate, got to pick up my own book, Write In It, and no one stopped me? I'm writing my happy ending and looking up at the ceiling at the same time like 'This is your own fault for not locking the door.' Of course, I'm creative enough to make up my own head cannon, and I enjoyed the rest of this drama more than enough to not let the ending ruin it for me, so I'm choosing my own fate here an now and saying they end up together and happy and creating lots and lots of ridiculous (and ridiculously entertaining) soapy dramas till their end of their dying days.

The end.

While I could see this story being expanded to 16 episodes in order to flesh out the story and world and magic system more, I don't think that would have suited this drama. Maybe expanded the ten episodes to an hour each would have worked. But this was clearly intended to be something short and simple and genuinely pleasant to watch, and it succeeded. I definitely recommend it.

Scripting Your Destiny (2021) - Love. Love is the gift from deities for those who are brave (ep1).

This is one is quite an intriguing drama for me. I find it nice but since it's only a webdrama and it's short, it offers something different comparing to other web dramas. I think it is a bit mature and I like that it is short. I have my confusing moments alongside the drama but at the same time I understand that it has the genre fantasy which is sometimes all that is happening in the drama is unexplainable.

I also know some or most of the characters as I have seen them in other dramas, this time around they are the main leads so quite new to my eyes.

I’m happy I get to encounter this web drama. Good watch.

Road to nowhere

Short and watchable “little” drama, however, it felt flat for me.
Started watching because of Kim Woo Seok and after reading couple of reviews comparing it to Goblin.
It didn’t give me such vibes at all other that Deity being involved in the story.
Pros:
*It has characters development
* It is not 100% predictable
Cons:
* endless circling storyline
* Questionable ending

Fun short story

This is quite a nice story to watch in a lazy afternoon without expecting anything from it. It's not the greatest but it's not the worst thing you'll watch ever. It was funny and had a sort of consistent plot. I liked the idea of deities of the destiny that write your destiny as they please, and the idea of lazy deities that just copy and paste the same old story over and over again.

The cast was absolutely eyecandy, from main leads to supporting characters. They had great acting and fit for the type of drama, as well as good chemistry between all the characters. The OST was nice and the scenarios were pretty nice, the whole drama was well-filmed, so it showed it had good budget, a nice director and writers.

The angsty parts were actually very funny for me and when Chaekyung was crying at the sheep farm I was actually laughing because they suddenly turned it so angsty and dramatic. Despite that, the story developed nicely and I liked the open ending hinting a repeated cycle of Hoyoon finding himself falling for her over and over again.

If you ignore the fact that many things weren't properly explained (who lets the deities be born again, why do they disappear if they're going to be born again, why could Chaekyung get to the penthouse after 5 years, how could Chaekyung and Bareum write their own destinies other than being "their own") due to the length of the drama and overall simpleness, it was quite a fun short fantasy drama and I would definitely recommend it to get a break from longer-running dramas.

Unique Premise & Pretty Cute Love Story

Once I heard about this drama, I added it into my plan to watch list and tried it once it came out. The premise and plotline was interesting and were what I expected as I kept watching. It was unique since I haven't seen another drama about a god of fate with books for writing people's destiny.

There was a lot of potential with this story, but the execution was somewhat lacking. The earlier episodes were relatively interesting to watch compared to the later episodes because some moments were just so slow-paced. Some stories about the supporting roles just felt unnecessary and not as interesting as the main couple. The acting also isn't all high quality since most of the actors/actresses in this drama are still considered rookies, so there are moments when their facial expressions are stiff or their delivery of lines seems plain/lacking. There are also some scenes where the comedic moments feel forced, but it is still okay enough to watch. Some dialogues also seem pretty dry and felt like filler for the episodes.

I did like the romance line between the two main characters and how it eventually played out. The OST is also really good, especially the one sang by Jeong SeWoon "Time Machine". It really made the scene more emotional.

Despite the flaws, the drama was a decent light watch to enjoy between other dramas, so I would recommend it. You will need to be prepared to skip some parts in some episodes though.

Short drama that is worth watching

It was short okay drama. The ending seemed like a loop hole and like it would continue forever. Honestly I watched this because Park Sang Nam had such a beautiful smile and he had one of the best characters out of all in my opinion. I liked their acting it wasn't too forced and seemed like they would have had a good friendship behind camera. Plot was pretty basic like I would have watched it already but it was still worth it and interesting. Ost was so AMAZING continued to listen to it after watching

super quick, that hoping it's longer per episodes...

This drama plot is quick, because it only focuses on 1 problem. However this resembles me about Goblin, especially the main lead that really looks like Gong Yoo -- but a younger version.

There's something more about the plot, because scripting destiny -- is not usually a common genre -- we only get to watch few fantasies like this. Hoping that drama has something more and longer episode.

Well... I just miss Goblin while watching this entirely. Same fantasies, but no goblin or grim reaper...

Finished it in less than a day

I personally like the fantasy-meets-reality dramas. When I was looking for something to watch, I googled dramas similar to doom at your service (airing, must watch!!) and this completely fullfilled my expectations. The storyline is easy to digest and the main characters are so very handsome. After watching this drama, I only have one complaint. WHAT IS UP WITH THAT ENDING? I dooo noooot like open endings so if youre aanything like me (Who likes CLOSURE) youll not be satisfied with the story's ending. BUT the ending does not mean I dont recommend watching this because I do. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll enjoy this very much. Also, I think this drama doesnt get the recognition it deserves. It's short but sooo good!!! go watch this nowwwww!!!!!!!!
