Cliche? Yup. Bad CGI? Definitely. But it somehow manages to pull through, maybe because I'm a huge Danson Tang fan, or I'm just a sucker for long reunited romance, which always happens in vampire stories. You're probably wondering if I'm a Twilight fan. Yes, guilty. So DO watch this drama if you liked Twilight, and if you're a Danson Tang fan (if you are then you MUST watch this drama as he is the hottest he has ever been, portraying a vampire). Watch the version with his original voice!

Plot wise, like I said earlier it's pretty cliche. Nevertheless, the execution was still decent enough and entertaining. It has all the things a drama should, a funny comedic relief actor, some good friends, an annoying antagonist, and family. I have to say, the ending isn't that great but I guess it's happy *enough*, but still left me a bit hanging. Aside from that, the romantic development was pretty fast, since it's only 9 episodes, so there's little to no dragging (which is great!). The plot really is similar to Twilight, but much better chemistry between the leads, and no sparkling vampires. The antagonist is to be expected, and that plot line wasn't that irritating. It's also set on a university campus, so I really liked how it was a campus romance.

Even though I easily fall in love with drama OST's, this drama's music was very 'ehh'. It seriously was not special, probably because I expected more, much more. Even now, I don't remember any of the songs which is rare ( if you look at my other reviews you'll see why).

Re-watch value is not that high, mostly because the only version available I could find was pretty low quality, which isn't easy on the eyes. Disregarding that though, re-watch value based on purely the drama could be high, after all it's only 9 episodes and if you like a cute but cliche vampire love story. I recommend this drama a lot; it's so unfortunate how not many people know about this drama. (8.5/8.5)

I must be in a romantic, cheesy mood these days because I really enjoyed this drama. The effects were obvious, and the story has been done before, but I still found myself really into the story and rooting for the main couple (and just wanting to keep looking at Tang Danson of course!)

Story: 1 more vampire love story to add to the list for me. 200+ year old vampire finds love after losing his previous girlfriend before he was turned. Its been done. The actors are what saved this drama for me, but the little twists that help bring the couple together just add to the fluff.

Acting/Cast: This could have easily turned into a horrible drama that tried wayyyyy too hard, but it wasn't (not for me anyway). The actors did a great job of making the characters entertaining and likable, so I was interested in how the story would unfold for them. And let's be honest, Tang Danson plays the brooding vamp very well: dark, mysterious and aloof....which made his scenes where there was comedy involved even funnier. The female lead, Hei Lam, was great too. She's not your average damsel in distress, the girl takes judo for fun and can kick some butt, BUT she still needs to be rescued every now and then.

Music: I didn't really notice anything special, but when the action started it did help amp up the mood.

Rewatch Value: Sure! Its only 9 episodes. So if you're craving a bit of fluff from a genre that is usually all dark and brooding, rewatch away!

Overall: Its not the greatest drama of all time, but it certainly was entertaining and the actors made me fall in love with the characters and kept me interested for a 9 episode marathon. The ending is a bit...meh...but it gives you a bit of everything and some nice eye candy that I highly recommend.

I'll make it short. The drama is so good and so bad at the same time.

So bad :
- Full of clichés : Bad boy , rich, cold , vampire, tragic past, lost faith on human and poor woman, human, stuborn, talk to much haha, connected to the man ect.
- Bad special effect , its so funny. XD

Good points :
- That girl is not weak, she can speak (Amen!) , she's " strong" since she does Judo
- Even we already know the storyline, we are totally immersed on the drama, we can feel their pain, hapiness, struggle and how much they are cute. It's not cringy or something else, it's really cute.

Even if the end was kinda '-' < (hm well.. vague, unclear but I understand it) I really enjoyed it !
Love in time really makes you relax, it's warm and soft. I'm a big fan of supernatural or vampire drama. This was well composed, not too much, I didn't feel like some points were missing.

Notes :
10/10 for the story , yes, we all know this kind of story, but still like it. This was very consistent.
9/10 Acting and cast : Well chosen, I was totally in the characters, except for the others characters (for example the TX vampire xD he could have done better)
10/10 Music : Let's not forget that ost, the piano melody.. *-* It was everything !
6/10 Rewatch : Because of the end, I don't think that I could rewatch it more than I already did (twice) haha but the very end, the bloopers were very funny, I give 20/10 for that !

Well this drama couldn't be more cliché if they tried. Reminded me of Twilight which funnily enough I love so of course I had to continue watching. I remembered I did try to watch this a few months ago but I was put off by the "blood" during the first few minutes of it - we don't get along but I soon got over it the second try. Didn't realise this drama wasn't a Taiwanese drama until I noticed the voices were dubbed. Seeing Tang Danson automatically made me jump to the conclusion that it was a Taiwanese and not Hong Konger drama. The dubbing didn't bother me too much as I'm a frequent Chinese drama watcher. I did feel as though the romance was a bit fast tracked but then I had to remind myself that it was only a 9 episode drama so of course it would be. I also wished they showed a bit more of the powers (I'm a huge sucker for those) but again probably not much time for 9 episodes. The ending left me a little confused as I wasn't sure about the last scene

I felt that the cast worked extremely well together especially the two leads, I could really feel the chemistry. Really loved the little bloopers at the end.

I loved the gentle piano that was being played throughout the drama.

I will rewatch this again if only to see Tang Danson in actor. I couldn't stop smiling at the contacts even though some of the special effects seemed a little off. Didn't realise how much I missed seeing him act until I watched this - come back soon!

Not the best drama ever made but I thoroughly enjoyed it and I recommend this to Tang Danson and vampire fans who aren't too fussed about the not so great special effects. There's also friendship, family and romance which are a nice mixture.

I have been waiting for the drama for a really long time. For 2 years actually(the trailer was in 2014 & the drama aired in 2015). I was going into it for Danson Tang in a drama again. But I ended up like the main characters as well.

Story: 8/10 because it was very predictable, but it still a lot of fun despite of it. I wished there was more action scenes, because it doesn't have a lot of action despite being a supernatural drama. But the love between the leads actually felt realistic despite the superficial feel the drama has.

Acting: 9/10 because I was enjoying a lot of the characters! Danson Tang as Roy was good. Despite having his voice dubbed in the original version(everyone else's voices were dubbed the Mandarin version), it wasn't annoying like some of the other Hong Kong/China dramas. Wai Michelle was very good of convincing me that Hei Lam was a sweet, nice person to her friends. I'm glad that she is accepting to the supernatural side of people around her. The chemistry between Danson & Michelle was great. I also really liked Yin Terrance as George & the fox goddess(don't know the actress's name or the characters's name right on top of my head). George loves to tease Roy about feeling again. He is very sexy also(let me just say XD) The Fox Goddess was adorable too and fun to watch her do her thing. The second female lead is a mean, cunning & dense character!!! GRRRR!!! Love Hei Lam's friend from school.

Music: 7/10 because I barely remember the music, but remembered that it was good enough to fit the scenes.

Re-watch value: 8/10 because despite the superfical feeling that I get from this drama, it was still very enjoyable. It has some funny moments.

Overall, if you like the supernatural romance(vampires in perticular), the cast or Hong Kong dramas in general, then you should try it.

I’m literally laughing as I am writing this review. It was enjoyable but the editing and graphics were ummm. I have seen my share of vampire movies. This one is well written however the graphics are a bit outdated. I enjoyed the story line: old vampire meets girl and attempt to keep his distance but as fate would have it, keeping his distance proved quite difficult. It’s a story of heartache, love and Being willing to embrace love again. The story kept you engaged, not too many slow scenes, not too many crazy people. A villain or two to stir the pot but not to villainous that you get angered, my wish was that more time was given to the character development. The ending was okay but I was left with a question, which I hate. Overall a good watch but definitely not rewatching.

Personally, I loved loved loved this series. I think the actors are great, the story is captivating, and maybe I'm just an incurable romantic but still I am left without words. The series speaks on its own. I truly recommend this to anyone who likes romance and supernatural because I'm sure you will enjoy it. It's different from what I usually watch and that's what makes it so captivating. I don't know if it's too late but I really hope they make another season! It gets you so hooked you want to watch more. I haven't had enough it, so I really hope it doesn't get canceled and keeps on filming.

its usual people nature if they get something awesome great or anything rubbish they usually talk/gossip/share/think all the time their positive and negative facts its not the show which make you excite or frustrated story is very simple and sweet its neither great nor worst its good for time killing 9 episodes each have 40 minutes(if want then skip some scenes) you can watch it in your less free time and can sleep well without thinking more that i wasted time or oh god that great show

i really want to give it 10/10 but i'm not that person who like simple going story i love to watch great surprising shocking shows which make me to say " wow ! that's great" thing i watched

RECOMMENDATION : yes i really want to recommend its good shows watch it for once
WARNING : don't expect anything standard watch it for time killing

The drama started off very well but ended up quite...lacking. How or why enemy's surfaced and details of certain characters weren't revealed and it made you feel a bit clueless. In reality, I liked the drama very much. The actors did an amazing job at portraying their characters and I loved the fact that the lead actors actually showed a little more intimacy that what other dramas show. I don't believe in those fluffy powderpuff love dramas that have their lead roles give an awkward peck on the lips for several seconds...that's not real...we all know that's not how life works. Now, the show did have its downs...the few minutes left on the last episode was very disappointing--and this was only because the story completely fell through the cracks. There's a certain scene at the end that keeps you wondering what the hell happened...and to our irritation, there is no season two to base our opinions off of. So, all in all, I give it a 9. I would definitely love it if they were to do a sequel. I feel saddened...this drama had so much potential, the acting and action was amazing, it's just the last few minutes of the last episode that killed if for me and everyone.

Even with all the shameless, very obvious rip-offs from other teen rom-coms, and the overall predictability of the story, I have to say this was thoroughly enjoyable. I'm wondering if it's just because I was so bored and badly craving some/any drama, or whether there's more to it. So, to the point:

The cast was, I think, very solid. Everyone seemed to fit their roles which made the characters believable and nice to watch. Tang Danson is a beautiful man, and he does have sometime of the vampire in him. The character of George was the one I empathized with the most by the end, though - he was funny, quirky, and his plight of not being able to feel human emotions (while at the same time caring very much for Roy), was an enjoyable side story.

That said, the plot was a carbon copy of arrogant hot rich dude/vampire meets poor girl soulmate stories, except perhaps a bit more lighthearted, and funnily enough with less focus on the villain (one would think that vampires provide much more fodder for conflict and having genuinely evil guys, as opposed to the upper management of successful companies - seemingly not the case). That makes his appearance in the end of the show completely random and to be honest, it left a very bitter taste in my mouth. Had it not been for the last minute or so of the show, it would've gotten a higher mark, but as it depended on predictability for most of its 9 episodes, the shenanigan from the end was completely unnecessary and disrespectful to the viewer.

But, I'd still recommend to watch it and judge for yourself. It has provided me with half an evening + morning of pleasant leisure, nothing too smart or awesome, but still enjoyable.

I Like Fluff

Like many of the reviews here. It was just something about this series that was worth watching even though it's cliché ridden and the ending was weird. I thoroughly enjoyed this series. It was just a really cute vampire story. Plus Danson Tang and Michelle Wai were adorable together. I really liked all of the characters especially Roy and George. I am new to the Danson Tang fan club but whoo hoo!!

Episode 3 is my favorite. It's the romantic in me. When Hei Lam takes Roy out to celebrate his birthday and he blows out the "candle" I swooned hard people. Plus I loved the trip to Disneyland. Those scenes played out so well.

I don't remember an OST so whatever. I would not watch again b/c once was enough for me and I didn't like that ambiguous ending.
