The story line is just amazing. From episode 1, I was captivated by the plot, making me sit at the edge of my chair, anticipating of what would happen next. Just when I thought I figured out who is behind it all, something unexpected happened and I was left at a dead end with numerous questions. Even until the very last minute of the final episode I was left awestruck. It took me a few minutes to register what happened and then everything clicked into place. Usually I am pretty good at figuring out who is bad and who is good, but this drama totally made me run around in circles.
The cast was also amazing. I have no words to describe how well everyone played their parts. Lee Bo Young played the mother soo well. The determination she showed to save her child no matter what, it felt real. She is clearly a great actress. And what can I say about Cho Seung Woo, he was just amazing!! The action scenes he did was just top notch!! Seriously can i have him protect me too? haha But in all seriousness, he did a great job!
Of course I need to mention, Kim Yoo Bin, this little 9 year old girl did such a great job. If she can act like this at such a young age, imagine where she will be in 10 years time! Oh and how can I forget Baro (of B1A4). The amount of times he made me awestruck in this drama, the way he played a mentally disabled boy, left me speechless. It is hard to believe that this was only his 2nd drama. I can say with confidence that he is going to be an amazing actor. Cannot wait to see his future works!! (Special mention goes to No Min Woo, though his part was small, every time I saw him on screen i fangirled like mad. He is just too hot x__x)
The rewatch value is also very high. There is not a single boring moment in this drama. Nothing dragged on for too long and in every episode something new came up, which helped to unfold the story and create more mystery. I would definitely watch it again if i have time.
Finally I would say, hats off to the team for creating such an amazing drama. I know many didn't like the ending and others loved it. I for one, think the ending was bittersweet. It was not overly happy, but it was also not tear jerking. Seriously if you haven't watched this drama, then please do, I promise, you will enjoy it.

Okay that's enough time wasted on my preferences in male characters, now for the actual review.
When I first clicked in to rate this show, I gave the drama a 9. But then I did what every normal person does after watching an insanely good show - went to spazz to my mom about it - and I realized that I used the word "masterpiece" to describe this drama so many times that I had to come back and change it to a full 10. It was that good.
Plot vise this drama really is a masterpiece. I was sitting on the edge of my chair the whole time while watching and I bet you'll do the same. Just when you think you've caught on to the plot and know how the scenario is going to play out, something new and unexpected is thrown in your face. I was confused for the most part and you will be too, but don't worry, cause in the end, everything will click into place and you're gonna be left with your mouth gaping open, thinking that how on earth does such a complicated story come down to such a simple trigger. But I'll say no more, I don't want to spoil anything.
One of the things that I really liked about this drama was that after I was finished, I was left with a sort of full feeling. This is one of the few dramas where there is an actual message in the plot; something that says something really important about the world. It's a theme that becomes evident already in the plot and is carried out throughout the entire drama: a real mother will do anything to protect her child. I definitely liked how the theme was portrayed in the drama via various characters.
Cast and acting was top class. I've always respected Lee Bo Young but I was still amazed how spot-on her interpretation of Kim Soo Hyun was. She was a very convincing devastated mother but somehow also managed to incorporate a tough woman image into the character. She also had great chemistry with her co-actor, Cho Seung Woo who plays Ki Dong Chan. Now, I already talked about him but if it didn't become clear yet, I'll spell it out for you. I'm in love with this man. He is not just an amazing actor but also a great singer (and insanely dreamy). Search up his musicals, they're great.
I'm also going to take a moment to mention Kim Yoo Bin who plays the role of Soo Hyun's daughter, Han Saet Byul. Her acting is what it is, I won't comment much on that but considering her age, she is pretty great. She is one of the most promising child actors right now and I'm sure we're going to be seeing her a lot in the future.
And then, last but not least, I want to talk about one of the two idols who acted in this drama, Baro. I was really surprised and even a bit worried when I heard what kind of a role he'd be taking on, just because playing a character with an intellectual disability can be very difficult and also very emotional (doesn't sound exactly right but I hope you get the point). Turns out I worried for nothing. Baro was great in his role and following his character, Yong Gyu, and his friendship with Saet Byul was very heartwarming.
There isn't really much that I want to say about the music for this drama. It was good and suited the scenes and there was a nice range of songs from emotional pieces to more intense and dark ones that went well with the action. I have nothing to complain about so full ten it is.
One last thing that I want to mention is that this drama could be considered horror as a genre. There isn't any real massacre or slaughtering (well there's a bit) but the psychological war that goes on in this drama is really terrifying. I had a hard time watching some bits alone in my room, late at night, so just take a little caution on that.
Rewatchability is definitely also very high because the plot is very confusing until the very end and I think it would be fun to watch the drama again, just to see how different the events look when you know exactly what is going on. However, I had to dock one mark because there are certain events in the drama that I do not wish to see twice. In the end, the plot does revolve very closely around the theme of murder so that shouldn't come as a surprise.
I tried to make this review short, I really did, and look at what happened XD Anyways, my final verdict is that "God's Gift - 14 Days" is absolutely a show worth watching. Even if you're not into thriller-suspense kind of themes, give it a go because, come on, there's Ki Dong Chan in it.

This review may contain spoilers
This drama is just a masterpiece. I am not the kind of person that watches this kind of dramas, but I also think that if they're well done they are masterpiece.
14 days was that kind of drama that it is just not your cup of tea but you see it because it is just addictive.
Also, see it while airing had its contro (since there are a LOT of things that happen, sometimes I couldn't remember things that happened last week) and also its pro (I am able to say it was worth watching, I had all the time to find my opinion about it).
Let's go in points.
1) Story
The plot is just perfect. Not that perfect wich means "happiness" but that perfect that makes you watch the drama.
Every character is different, everyone (from Saetbyul to the policeman) has his own way to think and act.
The team up between Dong Chan and Soo Hyun makes you see how they are able to work togheter.
14 days is FULL of plot twists, it is not predictable at all, at the end of every episode you make considerations, but in the next the situation is completely different and new.
I loved how they were able to make me think a lot about the mistery and the reason of what was happening, and then they bring up something out of nowhere but not unrealistic. Everything was believable.
The episodes go on in a rush, but not a bad rush, it is only that characters don't lose time while searching to find the truth.
Really, the story never gets you annoyed. It never makes you want to turn off the tv.
2) Actors/ Acting
I have to say I used to like Lee Bo Young when she made IHYV. I thought she was a good actress.
Maybe because I only saw her in IHYV and Becoming a Milionaire I saw her like a just 'normal' actress. But I was wrong.
She is a VERY GOOD actress. When you see her in this drama, you know she can do every personality. She was able to bring me to tears with her acting.
The pain that you can see in her eyes when her character is facing the lost of her child seems so real.
Cho Seung Woo made a perfect job too. His personality was very clear, you were able to trust in him unlike other characters.
The kid was good. Maybe sometimes a little bit to 'un'clever, but well, she's just 9 yo.
Everyone acted well, I have nothing to complain.
Well, I have to say even Baro move me to tears. His character was so pitiful.
3)Music
The music suits perfectly the drama. There were few songs and a lot of instrumentals.
Since you're listening the dialogues and watching the scenes you don't listen to the music, but it leaves something anyway.
4)The ending.
I am not making spoilers but I am only saying if I liked it or not.
I'm am doing this only because there are people that watch dramas only if the ending is in a certain way :)
So, if you don't want to know ANYTHING about the end (I am just saying how it seemed to me), DON'T read.
The ending was something 'shocking' for a LOT of people.
Was BAD for a lot of people. Was GOOD for others
It is a kind of end that makes you understand something and makes you wonder a lot.
It isn't nor good nor bad.
I liked it. It was in the drama style.
Some people might say they rushed everything: NO, the didn't. It was only the way EVERY episode went from the first minute in the first ep.
Every episode is the same, speaking of rushing times.
Someone might say it is a bad ending only because they wanted to see some characters again. But that characters weren't able to do anything for the kid and DC's brother anymore.
In this drama, when someone leaves the scenes is because his part is over.
Some people might be sure that something bad happened.
I don't think something bad happened, otherwise they would make us see the thing happening.
The ending is a little bit misterious, the last lines are the key for understanding the end.
There's something missing, but they WANTED to insert that words. They WANTED something to be missing.
It's not that they didn't have time, or they were in a rush or anything.
That end is good if you pay attention.
5) Overall: A masterpiece.

This Drama, is really one ofthe best Dramas ever! It is a Drama, that makes you worry, tremble and cry rivers! There isn´t a single Episode that is boring, you always wonder what will happen next. You think about how it is going to continue, you think you finally found the perfect Scenario, just to be surprised again and again!
Story: A Story that is very awesome, and well written! Through the whole Drama, you think how it will end, just to see that it isn´t going as you expected, AT ALL! You think you finally found the murderer, it is all legit, and the Drama Comes around the Corner and "BOO", it scares the sh** out of you!
Acting/Cast: It is perfect acting and perfect cast!! I know Lee Bo Young fom I Hear Your Voice which is one of my best-ever-Dramas, but Cho Seung Woo has been totally new to me! And man, this is a guy! Everybody in this Drama Show top-notch acing skills but Cho Seung Woo - he was better than them all (although only a slight bit, they were all awesome).
Music: BEST!!!!!!! The Drama OST´s fit the Drama perfectly. They make you cry and tremble even more! I definetely have every OST of it on my phone right now!
This is a Drama, that I loved from the very first second to the very last second. I cried in almost every Episode, enough to use it for a pool actually, and trembled so many times! There sure are a few characters I didn´t like, they have been so suspicious! If you really want a Drama to cry, to tremble and to shout at your Computer, then this is for you!
I really want to thank all the writers, the directors, the actors and overall all the staff that have been working on this masterpiece, they did a really awesome Job!

Acting/Cast: Cast of this drama is simply superb. This is one area where I have absolutely no complaints. Lee Bo Young and Cha Seung Woo are great and they also have great onscreen chemistry as partners which kinda explains lot of viewer enthusiasm for their pair-up to happen. Even the rest of the cast did their roles pretty well. Only thing is I felt Woo jin is a little bit wasted as he doesn't get much screen time.
Music: Thinking back I seriously dont remember anything about the music aspect of this drama which is a good thing and at the same time bad. The music is non-intrusive which is a good thing for thrillers. But at the same it doesn't have any memorable tracks (so a rating of 7)
Rewatch Value: This drama is definitely good for second viewing after watching the ending because you'll get a new perspective once you know the whole story. You'll start to understand the clues placed in earlier episodes as you watch them unlike in the 1st viewing where you have wait the writer to reveal them later.
Overall Impressions: As I was saying the plot for the most part is very very good with lots of twists and turns. But what I feel is this drama got really caught up in needing to add a twist ahead of us every step of the way, and that drive actually got in its own way of giving us a proper ending. You'll see so many twists ans so many revelations about the characters that by the end the main revelation fell flat for me. It was jus meh, just another revelation at that point which does not bode well for this drama. If the 1st 14 eps are rated 9~10 then the last 2 eps are only 7~8 IMO. Also the characters in this drama act quite intelligently (they also have eidetic memory to boot :P) for most part but sometimes they do really really stupid things without any logical reasoning just to move the plot in a certain direction. I can give you examples but I dont want to spoil anything. Although I'm rambling about negative points a lot this is still a very good drama (a bit too ambitious for its own good thats all). You should definitely watch this once and come to your own conclusion. My guarantee is you'll not be disappointed on the whole.

STORY
Thankfully the description of the show gives you the basics of what you need to know. Kid dies, mom goes back 14 days before its death to try and prevent it from happening. I'll keep it simple. Best thing this drama had: multiple plot twists. And that pretty much covers the positive parts of this drama. Do i sound like a hater? Partly, i am. The reason i gave this drama a 9 is because i was super intruiged to see what will happen next, i loved the plot twists and (shocker here) i was never bored. I cannot give a bad rating to a drama that had me on the edge for 16 hours while i have given the same rating to dramas that almost put me to sleep. The twists kept coming and coming and they never failed to amaze. The suspense was always kept in a high level and never failed to impress!
Sadly, God's Gift had a lot of flaws, a few too many actually. The base idea is flawless and interesting and brilliant and *insert a positive adjective here*, but while it was completely enjoyable i couldn't stop my mind from screaming, 'this is stupid'.
1. The drama had no meaning. At first it talked about the death penalty and whether it is moral to sentence a convict to death for his crimes. This notion just gets forgotten after a while and nothings comes to surface. The drama has no meaning it is just there for the *wow* of the story.
2. Convinient script writting. Crime dramas love being convenient and they can't manage to survive without that. However there were so many mistakes done here, and most of them stupid, from placing a bandage on the wrong side of the face to stupid writting just to make the story progress. It is debatable if these 'black spots' are plot holes. I am not even sure because this was so overly complicated i might have missed some parts.
3. Overly, extremely, immensly and exceedingly complicated. I love complicated stories. Hell, most kdramas are so plain and simplistic they get my goat, but this just was too much! I lost the thread of the story many times, i had to read recaps online to keep up, and during the later episodes the show just gave me a huge headache. Maybe it was me, maybe it was the bad writting, maybe both, maybe none.
4. I don't know how they managed to create such unrealistically clever characters (with amazing memory) and make them unimaginably stupid at the same time. They were very quick to pick up what is happening, remembering situations from days ago and yet they fell on every false lead that got on their way and made such stupid decisions!
5. All the problems that are mentioned above just result in this drama being overall highly unrealistic and fake to the point of being ridiculous. It has the fantasy tag on the main page, but fantasy is one thing and this overall plot is another.
6. The ending. It wasn't bad, we pretty much got the mystery resolved, but many questions were left unanswered, some important, some not. I don't have a problem with open endings, but some important things were left on the air while they shouldn't have!
Overall, i have to say i enjoyed it, and we watch dramas to enjoy ourselves so mission accomplished. Despite its flaws it was a very memorable drama and that says something. The first episodes are flawless and you will be completely sucked in. The first half of the drama is an endless manhunt that was engaging and fancinating but at the end was kind of insignificant to the bigger story. The second half might not feel as exciting, but at least we get to unfold the backstory and understand what has happened. It was interesting, but generally had all of the script faults that i mentioned above and a lot of times felt like cheap and lousy writting.
ACTING
So here's what i thought about Lee Bo Young before this: She is a pretty better-than-average actress that just doesn't want to challenge herself. She is ok with being the eye candy and looking cute. It works for her, and she is good at it, no argue there. Interestingly, my opinion about her changed here. She was luscious, she exceeded my expectations and i am thankful she decided to challenge herself in this. She got out of her comfort -'i am pretty'- zone, and while she never looked prettier before than here, she gave an exquisite performance being emotional, being smart, being strong and cocky. She was everything i wanted to see. She apparently left her best performance for last before her maternity hiatus. I am looking forward to seeing her in the future in more similar roles! A spectacular actress.
The only other memorable acting was from Jo Seung Woo. I didn't know him, but he was unquestionably impeccable. A flawless actor that i am happy i got acquainted to!
The entire cast did a great job, and i should also praise the child actor Kim Yoo Bin for her superb portrayal of a somewhat questionable character....
RECOMMEND/REWATCH
Now this is rather difficult. All you people who live off romance and comedy, don't touch this, this isn't for you, go rewatch DOTS! People who want realistic things, you'll love/hate this like me, with emphasis on the hate side. To be honest, this is a show for plot twist lovers. You want a show with plenty of twists and unpredictable events, give this a go. I am not regretting watching this, i just wished the writter kept at least one of their foot on the ground while writting this xD
All in all, i doubt i will ever rewatch this, but it is definately worth a try.

I placed all my hope on at least getting a satisfying ending that made sense. Instead I was left mouth agape and ended up more disappointed than I had feared being even at the height of the awful moments.
I will give it this. Never has there been another drama that has suceeded in keeping me hooked, while being both wonderfully awesome and epically terrible at the same time. I am left in sheer awe and wonder.

The acting was amazing!!! Kim Yoo Bin was so believable and showed she could compete with the adults no problem. Baro was movingly realistic and not once did I feel his portrayal of Young Gyu was patronising or stereo-typical based. When he hangs up his microphone...this idol will have a great acting career.
The definite stand out was Jo Seung Woo. How incredibly sexy is he??? He is great with kids, he can protect you, he can sing, he can be sensitive and is not afraid to show his vulnerable said. His acting ran the whole gamut of emotions, and he displayed each one so rawly, that he stole the scene when he was in it!
The ending left me shocked....watch it & tell me what you think!

OVERALL i guess i liked it. why? its different than the usual korean dramas. may be i didnot have seen many korean dramas of this genre. i had to use my brain here. its more like mind puzzling game with complicated story. if the ending was atleast OK i would have rated it 9. but it went downhill. did i regret watching this? Nooo. it was rollercoaster ride for me.
at first i felt bad for her mom and girl. then as the story started revealing, i was intrigued. i felt angry, annoyed, heart touching, sweet, sadness, relief, suspense, thriller. ending felt meh.........( BGM reply goat sound)
how do i rate this drama actually.
1st ep - 8th ep : 9.5
9th ep - 12th ep : 8.5
12thep-14th ep : 7.5
15th ep : 7
16th ep : 6
story:
plot was actually daebak. time travel and crime solving was good. events rehappening, leads trying to change those events. suspense was great. we werenot able to guess the killer here. everytime it leads to wrong person.
2nd half things got complicated and a bit repeating, clues falling out of nowhere and not being able to save the girl twice no thrice made me annoy. everything was made pretty unnatural and very unrealistic. but damn INTERESTING. i was literally at the edge of seat many a times, even in that 2nd half.. so yes it was unpredictable rollercoaster ride for me. another thing which troubled me here is fasst dialogues. i had to pause here and there, trying to remember the persons names and contexts and situations here. also, i was able to get the story mainly because i marathoned it. but if i had to see twice in a week, i would have dropped it already. because the break between episodes is sufficient for my mind cells to forget story line. and the reason why i had to write the review as soon as i completed drama, because i will definetly forget the facts. its just impossible for me. if you are ok to deal with this kind of sHiT, also bear with innumerable twists, i recommend this drama
action:
lee bo young was ok here. i felt her acting was bit unrealistic. she was unbelievably calm for a mother to be. jo seung woon and the girl stealed the show for me. also disabled father and son were wonderful. i actually liked brothers story here more than mother-daughter story. i was rooting for them all the way, even though i want the girl to be saved.
acting was probably main reason for me to not drop it. cast were good enough
music.
not good enough, thrillers like these supposed to have good music.
overall:
i cant recommend to everyone. its like HIT or MISS. you may like it or may hate it. everyone can find their reasons to hate or love this drama. but i didnot get bored even a bit. it had everything for me to marathon/binge watch. so make your choice wisely and dont regret it later.
