It's Okay, That's Love (2014)

A veteran cast join together to present a very mature, authentic, and emotional experience that give viewers a look into lives that aren't all peaches and cream.

A sound script delivered by convincing characters. The presentation and production values are fine, though maybe a little dated--- such as the cinematography. Great OST. Story-wise, the only thing I would probably nitpick at is how the psychological plot is handled at times. It's a little too TV dramatized/convenient for my liking.

Regardless, I appreciate the show reflecting the many aspects of interpersonal relationships. The cast's relationships with one another is at the forefront with nothing to hide. The positives, the negatives, the ups and downs, the madness all around. A testament to the real world where we all have our secrets that we harbor yet still knowing that it's okay to ask for help from those around you because, well, that's love.

The story was really interesting, it got me excited over and over again each episode until the end, it was way more mature than other dramas I have seen, and showed romance in a beautiful way. It showed me there's always hope no matter how dark life gets. Also that love does not necessarily mean giving up on your dreams for the person whom you fall in love with, instead, you both help each other achieve those dreams, The music is 1000000/10, PERFECT. Beautiful show, must watch if you're looking for something special to watch. 10/10.

This drama explores different traumas that individuals and families go through in life. It's a well-written story with commendable cast. The main actors/actresses didn't disappoint and played their parts very well. The main female and male leads have believable chemistry and comfortable with each other. I cried buckets of tears while watching what they had to endure. Each person's will to be better with the help of their loved ones carried them through the tragic memories and abuse. I have great respect for psychiatrists who dedicate their lives sincerely to help their patients recover a healthier outlook in life. This is a must-watch drama that reminds us not to "judge a book by its cover" which means that even if a person looks fine in appearance, he/she may be not alright mentally.

Ask yourselves "Am I really doing alright?" and tell yourselves "Goodnight".

I finally decided to rewatch this drama after 9 years, now that ZIG is back with a new drama "moving"
I thought I may not like it as much as I did the first time after watching so many kdramas, because I first watched it in 2015, I was just starting in Kdrama's world. But I was wrong, this drama is still a Masterpiece for me.
The cast, acting, story, OST and everything else was perfect.

Story 10/10:
I have a weak point towards dramas that deal with psychological desorders: It's okay to not be okay, Kill me heal me, beautiful mind, they all are in my top list, and it's okay, that's love was the first that I watched of that type.
They portrayed many disorders in a romcom type of drama but it still didn't feel forced . The way the story was moving was so touching, it's a romcom but you still shed tears from time to time, the director made many wonderful touching scenes.

Acting/Cast: 10/10:
I don't even know where to start, the cast is perfect ZIG acting was top notch, GHJ is spontanious as act effortlessly as always, and their chemistry was blowing everytime they are in the same screen. LKS and the one of my favorite ajusshi SDI were the magical elements of the comedy, and don't even get me started with DO's acting, he can compete with many veteran actors even though he is an Idol.

Music: 10/10
Chen, Davishi, CrushxPunch... perfect OST that I listen to over and over again, and the ENGLISH songs that been used were so on point they felt like they were an original soudtrack for the drama.

Rewatch value 10/10
After 9 years, I felt all the emotions and maybe more since I know now more about mental illness. This such a meaningful Romantic comedy, even though it may give the opposite impression at first, which is not a very common thing nowdays

"It's Okay, That's Love" is a beautiful and heartwarming Korean Drama. When I first watched a few episodes of this drama, I was kind of getting bored because i feel like there is no progress happening in the story but still I persevered because I always made a promise to myself that whenever I watch a drama I will watch it till the last episode and as for this drama, it was worth it. I love the story, and the casts along with their acting skills were excellent and the chemistry between the lead actor and actress were beautiful and almost perfect. As the story goes you'll soon unconsciously put yourself in their shoes as they suffer from the hardships they encounter and as they face their problems, especially when this drama centers more on mental illnesses, we will learn that it is important that we must always be understanding and showing our genuine love and care towards that person who is going through hard times. The music and the OSTs of this drama are also beautiful as it goes well with the scenes and it would be worth watching it once again.

Understanding Mental Illness on Many Levels

This drama really gets to the heart of mental illness, from the basic everyday adversities to the more challenging cases. No matter the example, it shows that we've all got challenges we have to overcome, and loving is the best way. The show does have a few too many examples, and so many within the circle, to illustrate, but each case makes you think and helps in showing that it can be overcome and that those affected should not be judged in society.

The cast is dynamic and the relationship between the ML and FL is on point! The character of Jo Dong-Min is so endearing and funny. His humor really lightens the mood at times. Jo Dong-Min's interaction with FL is powerful - teaching honesty in communication and feelings.

This is one of those dramas that sticks and has many life lessons. Watch with an intent to learn and grow and you'll love it!!

I just finish it, and I can't stop crying. I can't believe i'll not see the characters anymore, this thought is so hurting you have no idea if you have not seen yet... When I began this drama, I had absolutly no idea of what would happen, I thought it was a comedy, not so good but still funny. I was so wrong.. This is one of the deepest dramas i've ever seen, truly. The beginning is rather on a light tone with Hae Soo's story, which was maybe useless in my opinion or at least not very well used. But throughout the drama, we discover a complex plot made of pretenses, trauma, terrible pain but also of tolerance, love, friendship and compromises. Moreover, the acting is awesome and the chemistry between all the characters/couples (I said ALL!!) is awesome !
I don't want leave them. Definitively, this drama is too short. But still wonderful.
PS : the soundtrack is amazing too.

Story:
The basic idea of this drama is great! Two people, who have a lot of own problems, fall in love with each other and (of yourse) conquer all these problems). Also, you can find a lot of topics here that I haven't seen before in another drama. But that's also somehow the problem: so many topics!
So you have the female lead who is a doctor and has problems with letting herself fall into a relationship. She is then betrayed by her boyfriend and in addition to that, she has a trauma from her past she has to deal with.
Then meet the writer, who himself has a tragic family story with his brother in jail and he himself having problems to sleep anywhere else but the bathtub. Apart from that he's a player. Oh, and did I mention that his ex girlfriend plagiarized his recent book? But only with the help of one of his close friends.
But wait, wait, there's more! SO MUCH MORE.....
And that's also why I really had a hard time getting through this drama in the beginning. I get it, not everyone has a smooth relationship or is mentally and physically healthy. BUT there seems to be no one in this drama without very complex and complicated problems - either with him/herself or with one of the other protagonists. After some time it just got utterly confusing for me to the point where I really asked myself what the hell was going on in this drama. Also, the fact, that some storylines are intorduced, but then somehow just disappear without an explanation (at least a somewhat clear explanation for me), bothered me! Up until episode 10 or 11 I was bound to drop this drama any minute and give it a really bad review.
But then there is the ending. The last 4/5 episodes are wonderful! They are really really intense and beautiful, and make up for the rest. The ending is also the reason why I still give the story an 8.

Acting/Cast:
Very well done from all the actors. Their characters were just a little annoying sometimes.

Music:
Oh I love the music in this one! Especially as there are not only Korean songs but many English ones as well. Great music!

Overall:
Watch it and try to not get annoyed by alls these different problems. The ending is worth it! Still, I will probably not rewatch this anytime soon.

Drama about Multiple Disorder, OCD and schizophrenia

Great story about people who suffered Mental disorder. Cast are amazing. It has the best OST and most of the songs are in English. The OST is the one I will save and will listen to when I'm having a long drive. Drama made us learn how to deal people with disorder. Jo In Sung acting is perfect and I'm surprised about D.O he is really good too. The romance is a bonus. I Will say this drama is the best No Hee Kyung's drama. Well-written script and she did a lot of research to make this drama believable and worth watching. Recommended Jo In Sung drama. The chemistry of the whole cast os great.

Gorgeously shot (still can't get over how pretty it is) with a fantastic soundtrack and a fun group of characters. I loved the pace and the acting was top notch. While the story line tended to over-fantasize the medical aspects of the show (as K-Dramas are want to do), it hits the relationships spot on. The little bit of makjang (angst) in the end ever so slightly tarnished this drama's unique shine but I'm going to forgive the writer because I just loved it so much. Absolutely fabulous! This one goes down as one of my favorites!

I AM NOT LYING ABOUT 10/10

there's a lot i want to say for this drama. first of all, i've watched this when i was on junior high school and it didn't mean so much to me bcs i didn't really understand the context of it and it's talking about mental illness and all (ofc since the FML is a psychiatrist). but since i got on netflix, i browsed and i found this drama and remember nothing about this drama so i decide to give this drama a try once more. and damn, this was the best decision i've made in my life this year. even tho i'm not really fond and agree with some to most of them, it's still give me a LOT life's lesson to me and it makes me more pay attention about love especially, since the love story on this drama is more an adult one, and how they see love, how they manage love, and more more more. i am just realllyyyyy grateful to rewatch this drama because it means so much to me now. their personality is just so unique. even tho they often argue with each other, they still forgive and get back together (they just fought for a second and then forgiving each other isn't that cutee). yeah, no words can describe how i feel rn really. it's just been a really long time since i've found such an amazing drama. kudos for the actors, directors, writers, staffs, and all.

this is definitely a feel-good drama with a heavy topic, but even tho it's packed with comedy and all, it's still makes me cry on every single episode, especially whenever the brother's scene show up. i really feel bad for him, like he deserve the whole world too:( every single one of them deserve the whole world. i just fell in love with every character on this drama.

PS : big respect for jo insung for playing a mental illness role that well. not many can do it like that. he really go all out. much love from me!

PS(2) : THE OST OMG. there's no bad ost on this drama really. from the very first ive watched this drama till now, my opinion on this drama's ost doesn't change. amazing.
