Jeon Jong Seo receives offer to star in the upcoming K-drama "Genie House"
Trending actor Jung Sung Il might work with Netflix once again for a new film.
On February 22, industry insiders shared that Jung Sung Il will be joining the upcoming action historical film Jeon, Ran. According to reports, he will be joining top actors Yoo Ah In, Kang Dong Won, and Park Jung Min.
Jung Sung Il's agency KeyEast Entertainment shared their side regarding the casting news. According to them, Jung Sung Il received the offer to star in Jeon, Ran and he is positively reviewing it.
The actor gained more attention after starring in the Netflix original K-drama "The Glory" with Song Hye Kyo, Lee Do Hyun, Im Ji Yeon, Yeom Hye Ran, Park Sung Hoon, and more. Jung Sung Il will return to The Glory Part 2 which will premiere next month and will continue to impress the viewers with his character.
Jung Sung Il made his acting debut in 2002 and has starred in numerous works ever since. He is known for being part of the K-dramas The Return of Iljimae, Woman of 9.9 Billion, Stranger Season 2, Birthcare Center, Bad and Crazy, Our Blues, and the films Project Wolf Hunting, Unconfessional, Fair Love, A Frozen Flower, and more.
He was last seen as the main guest of the entertainment program Yoo Quiz on the Block Season 4.
The upcoming K-drama Jeon, Ran will be helmed by director Kim Sang Man who's known for creating the film Midnight FM and will be produced by director Park Chan Wook (The Handmaiden) and Netflix.
Jeon Ran is a martial arts action historical drama that is set in 1592, the time of the Japanese invasion of Korea.
There are no official details yet on the characters that were offered to Jung Sung Il, Yoo Ah In, Kang Dong Won, and Park Jung Min.
