Gadgets, Gizmos and All Manner of Strange Things

There have been many times when I have seen a gizmo or gadget while watching an Asian drama and have asked out loud to no one...(because no one watches with me)

What in the HECK IS THAT?!

for example Kotatsu tables. I thought they were weird at first and funny looking but now I understand. They are genius! Why sit at your table and be cold or uncomfortable when you can be cozy and warm under a blankie?

Are there any gizmos or gadgets or strange things you didn't know existed before you started watching dramas?

oh, and i always amazed by plate counter in sushi restaurant..
as in here:

in my country, we still count the plates manually..lol

LOL Weird.

I always find it strange how in S. Korea they have to have the largest most perfect fruit on the shelves and they seem to wrap everything in plastic!.

Lol how hard i it to count plates manually? Keeping track of it might be a pain, but that's pretty funny.

Eliminates human error.

I really like the multifunction rooms in the apartment though I would love to have a place like that

yup...eliminates human error,,also to minimize energy to write?LOL..
they only need to go through the plates by that machine, then a card came out,
we got the card, go to cashier, got the card scanned, and they know how much we must pay..
amazingly, it also recognizes different prices from the plates.. o_O

and the room...
i still prefer a big one..lol
i'm lazy to tidy things up..so must be disaster if i have that kind of place.. :P

YES! I forgot until you mentioned it. I saw that (I've been looking to upgrade on bookcases too), and I went, "What the...that's amazing." Then I realized that it's probably way out of my price range.
