Tamaki Hiroshi is growing on me. I like how sometimes he can look strange and sometimes really gawjuss! I also get a kick out of his rubber-like facial expressions because even playing the straight man in this wacky comedy, he definitely has the chops! I am digging him lots. What a cutie! and kinda manly man...yum.

I could watch it again and again. I continue to read the manga (although it has been heading downhill for me for a while, but I'm a die-hard now)

:: ahhhh sigh ::

Mostly because it's been so long since I seen it, and another drama was fighting for a favorite position. I'll probably watch it again one day.

Uno Juri as Nodame = best acting ever. And Nodame is definitely one of the most lovable characters ever too. I remember thinking that even though Uno Juri isn't out of this world pretty, I would still marry the Nodame character in a heartbeat.

I'm just popping in for a brief respite from my work and not having a lot of time - nor the mental ability at the moment - to write down my impressions, I shamelessly borrow the words of other. Abs's because what she describes has been my experience exactly: Nodame, first asian drama I watched. And like Joe I loved it almost immediately, possibly BECAUSE of the initial silliness and improbable, manga-like scenes.
Although I notoriously prefer men, I can understand why he'd marry Nodame, LOL. She's too crazy and stubborn not to be loved, imho.
And since I play the piano (not as well as any of those characters, of course), for me it was love at first hearing too. :D

Yeah, the Kotatsu! and here's the funny thing...I saw kotatsu's in other Jdramas and I always thought "what the heck...it's a table and a blanket?!!" Nodame Cantabile is the drama that actually explained what they were and now I'm just a little wiser.

I feel the same way. Now, I know what a kotatsu is...lol

I thought they were so weird at first...now I kinda want one. Seeing Chiaki get "lost in the Kotatsu" was hilarious.
from now on when ever i'm feeling lazy i'm going to say i'm having a kotatsu kind of day.

Enjoy! I wish I had time to keep up with all the stuff I've never watched and re-watch old favorites too! I loved Nodame so much more than I expected to.
