Serious Romance with a happy ending

Most dramas I’ve found are either romcoms or have sad endings.  Can someone recommend a drama that is more melodramatic and has a happy ending? One of my favourite dramas was Chugakusei Nikki which fit this mold. I haven’t found any others yet.
