I;d also add that older brother Jong (I Really like him) and the older princess, the one who was exiled. Gah, I really feel sorry for them, Jong was a really NICE character. Gotta like how the actor acted it out; also the older princess too. Gah, they should have been left alon :(

But all the sacrifices made make you really appreciate the ending...with a different ending, I'd have a sense everything, every other life, had gone to waste. So the way things happened is really the best way things could have resolved, but I dstill wish a bit that the olde brother actually lived; he was at no fault whatsoever and that poor former princess lost practically everything, except for the chil. I hope it would have been a boy.
Best Drama of 2011...I think I will never get tired of listening to this song:
LOL, oh noes the song again! I do love it...lol
Yes, the OSt is very nice, and extremely well matched too. I personally love the italian one about destiny.
But it really makes me feel sad about that older couple more. Because frankly, it was the older princess that lost everything: her mother, her father, her brother, the kingdom, her husband..while the other one..she gained practically everything through her initial caprice. I'm just really sorry about prince Consort and Former princess.

Gah, this was a very intense drama and now that I rewatched it, it's just as good. Even thoughyou know what happens, you still enjpoy the acting. Everyone just acted their hearts out. But that older brother's eyes at times were so sparkling. I really don;t know who that actor is, bith should be added, he and his wife are also important supporting cast.
I finished it yesterday. It was so touching and perfect I can't even use my words to describe it <3 Music, acting, story, everything! One of the best stories I've ever seen. Love it so so much <3 Se Ryung & Kim Seung Yoo <3

No its not sad but then i have NEVER cried over a drama so perhaps im the wrong person to answer this lol

It is a wonderful drama so give it a go, go on, go on....
How sad? It depends on each individual. I thought it was heart-breaking and I felt the characters' endurance/pain. Though, I didn't cry throughout. I only cried after I finished watching it because it was over. The fact that it was over felt like a great friend just left me (truly sad).

I am a cryer, somewhat and yes, this made me cry. But not all the way through and some of the tears were happy ones.

i am more of a happy cry-er... lol
I know people hate comparing TPM with The Moon that Embraces the Sun... but I'm still not understanding why there's so much more love for TMTETS. Anyway, I'm still not over TPM. It's been like almost 3 weeks that I've finished this drama and the after-effect still hasn't washed off. I've watched Padam, Padam which is like a completely different genre, but still very spectacular ... though, I can't seem to brush off the experience from TPM.
I loved this drama, it's still a 10 for me, but I've moved on. First with Deep Rooted Tree and now with The Moon Huggles the Sun. <3

I'm a crier and I only remember crying at the ending episodes.
i might give it a try then. i dont like to get into something only to realize after i'm hooked that it isnt going to end well.
Just finished watching it. Really amazing drama, and honestly, I didn't expect it to be so in the beginning, because of the romance Romeo & Julie premise. Exceeded expectations, 10/10. For once I actually loved all of the cast members (at least the important ones). Park Shi Hoo is, well, perfect anyway, but the female lead was also great in this part, and the chemistry between them was really working. I especially like how all the characters grow with the development of the story, and you get to see it in a non forceful- verbal way, as it happens sometimes.
Absolutely loved it, cried buckets, but don't worry, this is not a spoiler. Find me a serious historical drama where you didn't.
