So i'm about to go back to nursing school and my free time is going to be practically non existent but I don't want to give up watching dramas completely for the whole 3 months. I might be able to watch at least 1 to 3 episodes in total a week and I was wondering if anyone could recommend me a drama that is good for slow watching. I want something good but not so addicting I can't stop watching and have to binge watch all episodes in one night like Healer. Something that doesn't have suspenseful cliffhangers that force you to begin the next episode because you just can't wait the next day to watch the rest. In other words, i'm looking for something i'll enjoy that has a nice plot and good characters that I can gradually watch and not rip my hair out in anticipation for the next episode. something a poor time deprived college student can watch without losing track of time. any suggestions?

haha drama wouldnt be made if its not intersting .......so that really tuff lol
I think My Love Eun Dong is good in this kind of situation.
If you want to be a fly on the wall watching the lives of characters then Lady girls, a j-drama and high kick! k-sitcom might be what you're looking for.
Ishi no mayu if you want to watch a short mystery which is 5 episodes long in case you do binge watch something.

Best of luck with your studies.
I feel the same as amitspiky.  It would be really difficult for me to recommend a drama that's not addictive, that doesn't make me think "just one more, just one more" after each episode.  If it doesn't have those qualities, I get bored and end up dropping it...

Since you're only going to be really busy for 3 months, I'd suggest stand-alone drama specials and movies instead, and then jump back into addictive dramas when you have more free time to fully enjoy them.  :)

Good luck with your studies!
I think you're looking for dramas that only have one case or story per episode. I think I have some of them from my Japanese Drama list, of course if you're interested in Japanese series. So here some of my list:

Tonari No Seki-Kun To Rumi-Chan No Jishou (2015)
Comedy, Life, Manga, School, Youth. It has duration per episode with no serious story at all. Each episode contains two stories about school and teen with unexpected comedy.

Umi no Ue no Shinryoujo (2013)
Comedy, Drama, Romance
. If you like romance genre with no typical progress, may be it will suits you. Just as I said, this one also only has one case per episode. Furthermore it's a medical drama so may be it will even more prefect with your major school. ;-)

Hana Kimi (2007)
Comedy, Drama, Friendship, Manga, Romance, School. lift up your day with laughter. No suspense story detected.

Summer Nude (2013)
Drama, Friendship, Romance. Mainly is romance but with no rush progress, you can follow the story leisurely.

Don Quixote (2011)
Comedy, Drama, Fantasy. Once again one case per episode but about last three episode has cliffhanger ending, I mean you know the ending that doesn't wants you to stop until the end but still doesn't give a mean suspense.

Hotaru no Hikari (2007)
Comedy, Manga, Romance. The story is continuously but I think it's okay to not watch it in one sitting. Light with no suspense.

Ouran High School Host Club (2011)
Comedy, Manga, Romance, School. It has same vibes with Hana Kimi. Can be a cure for your a tired and long day from your study. :D

I think that's all enough to give you a chance to watch them. Too many recommendation just will makes you hard to decided which one to be watched.
Good luck^^

I second @Hamex's suggestions...good choices!

If you want to try something Korean, maybe a drama that's more episodic?  Like a crime or mystery drama?  The cliffhangers for those were less painful for me. Mrs. Cop, Bad Guys and Vampire Prosecutor might work.  Liar Game would also work (beware of the female lead in the kversion...jversion was less painful).

I also suggest Let's Eat.  It's got romance and some mystery, but I didn't have the marathon urge.  Word of warning though...lock your fridge before watching.  Serious food porn!  It was a cute watch and concentrates on the experience of enjoying food with family and friends.  There are some quirky characters in it, too.

Other than that...maybe you could watch some mini dramas...like I Order You, Twenty Years Old, The Secret Message, EXO Next Door, etc.
thanks for all the suggestions! I'm going to give Jdramas and crime dramas a try so that hopefully I won't die from dramaland withdrawals by the end of the semester
Modern Farmer.
bc i start this drama like a week ago but till now im still on ep 3, hahah
the storyline is okay, but it is not something that can make you stick
I was going to make a thread similar to this because I also don't want to give up dramas at all despite having a hectic schedule. I figured it on my own by watching J-dramas instead  like what some of them said too (I usually watch Chinese and Taiwanese) and good thing my friend is giving me a lot haha!  Like one of them said, watching movies is a  good alternative as well :) and that's what I've been doing recently!

Good luck to us and hope we won't die from these withdrawals haha!
Like other people suggested, I too look for episodic dramas when I want to space it out over a longer period. No cliffhangers and such doesn't make them worse imo. My recs would be a pick from these
Border
Strawberry Night
Unubore Deka
Bitter Blood
Scientific Taskforce
Akagi
Deka Wanko
Fuben na Benriya
Kagi no Kakatta Heya
Keizoku 2: SPEC
Mahoro Ekimae Bangaichi
River’s Edge Okawabata Tanteisha
