Off the top of my head, there's the 2015 drama
Genkai Shuraku Kabushiki Kaisha, about a rural village that tries to revitalize its economy/community via organic farming; and 2007's
Ushi ni Negai (though I couldn't make it to the end of the latter*).
[*What broke me on
Ushi no Negai was ep.03 (I think? or maybe later) where these college students, ag students mind you, were shocked-- SHOCKED!-- to learn that mutton is sheep meat, and that sheep are killed to produce it. It really made me question the writers more than anything.]
