I have been looking to try new dramas but Im am struggling to find something that keeps my attention.

Right now my favorite drama is Be My Princess.  It has everything I love without the things I dislike in dramas.

LIKES

romance, romance, romance  I want the leads together early on romance needs to be the focus

troupes like amnesia, third person trying to butt in without success, growth, secrets, pregnancy, force/arranged marriage/relationship

age difference older male/younger female

real kisses

real affection between leads early on

male protective of female

male chases female without being a stalker

happy ending for leads  okay sad for second leads or other supporting cast

DISLIKES

female chases male first

bullying

breakups due to a love triangle

abusive aggressive males

too many story lines

gender bender

Republican Era

slice of life

if there is a mystery having it revealed to the viewer before the leads know

melodrama

misunderstanding that goes for most of the series

uncomfortable moments where one lead puts the other on the spot "Do you believe in love at first sight"

Suggestions????

These dramas mostly align with your likes and dislikes, and I've tried to note the aspects that don't:

  • Love Between Fairy and Devil - The ML is abusive / aggressive at first, but learns right away that he can't hurt the FL (no matter how much he wants to) even before he softenstowards her.
  • Fall In Love - The leads are roughly the same age. The ML isn't abusive or aggressive, but he does basically kidnap the FL when they first meet.
  • Because This Is My First Life - The affection between the leads is a very quiet type of affection (basically a sense of mutual respect and approval) with minimal contact at first, despite the fact that the FL kissed the ML out of the blue after they first met on a whim thinking she would never see him again. A little bit slice-of-lifey.
  • The Romance of Tiger and Rose - The leads are roughly the same age. The ML falls first but only after thinking the FL fell for him first.
  • Who Rules the World - The leads are roughly the same age. There are some political plotlines in addition to the romance. Although the ML likes the FL from the get-go, it takes the leads a long time to start contemplating the possibility of a relationship because the ML knows the FL doesn't want to get caught up in a life of politics.
  • My Secret Romance - The leads are roughly the same age and fall for each other around the same time, but the ML definitely does the chasing. The ML is not exactly abusive, but he's a bit of a dick at first.
  • A Business Proposal - The leads are roughly the same age, there's a second couple, and the ML kind of puts the FL on the spot on a few occasions (e.g., gushing about how beautiful the FL is in front of her friends when he is "pretending" to be her boyfriend - which makes the FL visibly uncomfortable).
  • Bromance - The leads are roughly the same age and fall for each other around the same time.
  • Crash Landing on You - The leads are roughly the same age and fall for each other around the same time, it has some melodrama, and there's a second couple.
  • I Need Romance 3 - Younger man and older woman and there's a second couple. There's real affection between the leads early on, but then the FL throws on the breaks for a long time after finding out the ML's identity.
  • Something About 1 Percent - The leads are roughly the same age and the ML is a bit of an aggressive / abusive boss.
  • Something in the Rain - Younger man and older woman and a bit slice-of-lifey. Also, even though they have a "happy" ending, they break up in the middle of the drama because the ML didn't prioritize the relationship and he doesn't really fix that...
  • Descendants of the Sun - The leads are roughly the same age, there's a bit of melodrama, and the ML puts the FL on the spot at first with his flirting, but she handles it coolly.
  • What's Wrong with Secretary Kim - iirc, there's a misunderstanding that goes on for most of the series. The ML is only a little older than the FL.
  •  The Masked Lover - There's a misunderstanding but I can't remember how early on it was resolved and I'm afraid I don't really remember the kisses.
  • The Legends - The leads are roughly the same age. Although the ML likes the FL from the get-go, it takes the FL a long time to start to fall for him, partly due to a misunderstanding that lasts for part (but not the majority) of the drama. There's a bit of inter-sect politics in addition to the romance.

Thanks about 1/2 I've see so it's likely you're on the right track!  Many of my favorites on your list.  I will check them out.
