Dramas & Reality - 2021 Completed

Dramas, specials and reality shows that I've completed in 2021 ranked by completed date in falling order. Rewatched titles has little to no comments. A couple of reality show items may be missing from this list because they are currently airing or it was so insignificant that I do not feel the need to add them. (84995 min = ca 59,0 days)

  • I-LAND

    1. I-LAND

    Korean TV Show - 2020, 12 episodes

    9.0

I'm not a fan of survival shows. They're brutal and stressing and it makes you sad for the people who don't make it. But since I'm starting to like ENHYPEN more and more every day I decided that I have to watch I-Land, or rather, I WANT to watch I-Land because of them. I got to know the members a lot more and I can now at least somewhat understand how much their I-Land experience means to them and how much all of the participants mean to them. As I already knew the results, the stress factor didn't play a role in watching and instead charged me with anticipation. I'm once again reminded of how proud I am that I chose to support and love ENHYPEN.

I also came to like the other participants. I was always a fan of Hanbin, I think that he is a really charming and strong person. I also eventually came to like K. At first, K seemed a bit childish. There were a few times where I would've liked to lecture him, haha. But I didn't have to because I could tell that he was taking the advice of the other members and also properly coming to terms with criticism and learning from his mistakes. I always knew that he is a good person so I'm glad that he's going to debut together with TA-KI, Nicolas, EJ and Kyungmin.

Also, Sunoo really showed his charms! I realised that I really like his voice and that he's even cuter than my previous opinion. He really made the show for me. I liked watching him the most. I didn't know about him having health problems. It made me think of myself as I'm scared of my epilepsy every day. Seeing him doing so well and being so happy made me feel accomplished in a sense. He made me think that maybe I can live my life any way I want to too.

I don't have enough space to write about the other members, but I love them all very much! ^^

  • Sweet Home

    2. Sweet Home

    Korean Drama - 2020, 10 episodes

    9.0

I enjoyed it. I had high expectations of this drama, but it didn't live up to all of them. I guess I expected something similar to Strangers From Hell or Alice in Borderland, but it wasn't quite as good as those two. I didn't like the first episode but I'm glad that I decided to watch the second episode because it made me watch Sweet Home 'till the end. I liked the main male lead Hyunsu as a character the most but we didn't get to see more of him than the other characters because there were so many main leads in this drama. I would've liked to see more of him. Overall it was good. I wouldn't rewatch it but I would watch the second season if/when it comes out.

Update: uhum... so I rewatched it. It's because of Lee Dohyun ok! I was so shocked when I learnt that Ko Wooyoung/Hong Daeyoung (18 Again) is played by the same actor as Lee Eunhyuk... They are so different! This just proves of good of an actor Lee Dohyun is. Raised score from 8,5 to 9 upon rewatching (because of Lee Dohyun ;p).

  • Last Cinderella

    3. Last Cinderella

    Japanese Drama - 2013, 11 episodes

    8.5

:) A sweet story. I want to remember Haruma by his amazing work and his beautiful smile. I really couldn't tell who she would end up with. Both of the male leads were good people, but I did root for Hiroto. Spoiler: I'm glad it turned out to be him. I'm curious about when Hiroto fell for her because I didn't really see the shift clearly. Just first he was pretending and then without notice he said he was in love with her. That's the only thing I'm confused about. Cinderella... Cinderella... maybe one day I can become someone's Cinderella too >.<

  • Crash Landing on You

    7. Crash Landing on You

    Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes

    8.5

I tried watching this last year, but I gave up before even finishing the first episode. I really can't remember my reasoning for that lol. It's really good! Seeing as the main leads became a couple in real life too; it makes me really happy. :) This doesn't necessarily apply to only this drama but I really like when there is an intro in every episode - I really appreciate details like that. My favourite characters were Seo Dan and Go Seung Jun. I really liked the way they came to like each other and their sad romance story. I cried so much for them during the last couple of episodes omg. Also Jung Man Bok, his complicated relationship with Jung Hyuk and his brother, his family. My heart really ached for him. Also the 4 guys who were in the same group as Jung Hyuk, they really made the show a lot better! Crash Landing On You really deserves a 10/10, only based on my personal enjoyment (storyline) and compared to shows I've already rated 10/10, I gave this show a 9/10. I definitely loved the second half of the story more (when she got back to Seoul). It was a nice watch and I really enjoyed it! :)

    9. The Tale of Nokdu

    Korean Drama - 2019, 32 episodes

    8.5

I started watching this show in 2019 but I never finished it. Now I rewatched it from the beginning. It's so cute >.< their love. I think Prince Neung Yang made a good villain. I was surprised to see Hwang Inyeop in this drama - his character is quite different from the one he plays in True Beauty lol. Also, as I'm watching Mr. Queen, I was surprised to see Kim Taewoo - his character was also very different from the one he plays in Mr. Queen. Well, overall it's really cute and fun! I enjoyed it. ^^

  • It's Okay to Not Be Okay

    10. It's Okay to Not Be Okay

    Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes

    8.5

During my second attempt to watch this drama I managed to complete it without struggle. :) I started watching this last year but I only watched up 'till episode 12 because idk, I don't remember haha ^^; First of all I have to say that Kim Soohyun is so good looking and Seo Yeji is drop-dead gorgeous! They are so beautiful it's unreal tbh. I tried really hard to fight my tears this time for some reason but it was impossible - this drama made me cry a lot ㅠㅠ. But this drama is so scary as well! It's worse than a lot of horror movies I've watched! I was so scared of her mother omg. Women are way scarier than men. Spoiler: I could guess towards the end whom her mother was. Uh so scary! They are all so good actors! It's such a good drama, the score here on MDL is spot on. ^^ Also, their love is so cute! My heart </3

  • True Beauty

    13. True Beauty

    Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes

    8.0

I had a hard time watching the last couple of episodes so it took a bit longer than expected to finish this drama. I really liked it! It was really cute, but not ONLY cute. I cried every time Suho, Seojun and Seyeon's friendship/story was shown. I'm also addicted to the song: Starlight – I've been listening to it almost nonstop for a month now I think. ^^ Anyway, I liked it! ^^

  • The Legend of the Blue Sea

    14. The Legend of the Blue Sea

    Korean Drama - 2016, 20 episodes

    9.0

A really sweet drama. Jun Jihyun really fit the role of a mermaid. Lol it kinda feels like the cast from You Who Came From The Star except they left out Kim Soohyun and swapped him for Le Minho (and I'm completing this drama on Kim Soohyun's birthday too hahaha). I really love Shin Hyesun, she's a great actress. Her character Shi Ah and Tae Oh as well as their little romance was so cute and funny. I really liked seeing Jinyoung too. Jin Joo and her husband were really funny too haha. Also the detective. I think Chi Hyun made a good villain.

  • Run On

    15. Run On

    Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes

    8.5

Wow! This is such a good drama! Slightly unexpectedly, I loved it! I don't really know how to explain it in words... It was really refreshing. Very warm. Wholesome. I really like Im Shiwan too (ever since I watched Strangers From Hell). Very nice! Very good! Very cute and funny! ^^

  • Mr. Queen

    16. Mr. Queen

    Korean Drama - 2020, 20 episodes

    9.5

Ohh my god! This is definitely one of my all time favourites!

I started watching Mr. Queen January 21st but since it was still airing when I started it; by the end after waiting week after week for the next couple of episodes, I forgot things that had happened earlier in the drama and ended up leaving it at episode 17. But on February 20th I rewatched it from the top and completed it within 4 days.

It's safe to say that Shin Hyesun is my favourite actress from now on haha, as I've seen her in so many good dramas. Kim Junghyun was perfect as the king! Both of them were so funny. ^^ I do find the story of Kim Byungin's love for Kim Sooyong (the queen) to be quite sad. I didn't expect to cry for him at the end there. Of course he was too obsessed with her tho which was a bit... ^^; His character reminded me a lot of Takauji from Todome no Kiss

Spoiler: slightly "disappointed" that he didn't return back to her body at the end tho. It was kinda bittersweet I guess.

  • Healer

    17. Healer

    Korean Drama - 2014, 20 episodes

    9.5

    Rewatched February 24th – 26th.

Re–rewatched from July 16th – the end of July.

  • Suspicious Partner

    18. Suspicious Partner

    Korean Drama - 2017, 40 episodes

    8.0

Based on the comments and the overall rating, before I even started watching it, I was slightly worried I'd end up dropping this drama. It was an unnecessary worry tho ^^ it's a really good drama. I rewatched Healer just before I started watching Suspicious Partner – I guess I wanted to see Ji Changwook more haha. The couple had really good chemistry, they really suited each other. The villain was scary and developed which was good (looking at it from a writer's perspective). I did feel sorry for the female lead a lot. They (mainly male lead) hid a lot of things from her saying "it's for her best interest" – I really hate things like that >:( they were also quite harsh on her during a few occasions, but well... :/ Again, with the intros, they are addicting ^^; This drama is darker than the cute bubbly cover image, but the romance is also as cute as the cute bubbly cover image haha ;p I definitely enjoyed watching this a lot. ^^

  • The K2

    22. The K2

    Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes

    7.0

Ji Changwook again~ I'm starting to like him more and more ^^ Action dramas really suit him, he looks so cool here in K2 too! I don't think romance was necessary actually. If so, I think he should've just missed the girl from Iraq, Raniya, for the entirety of the show. That'd be a sad romance story about pure revenge. The actress who plays Choi Yoo Jin is great – she's good acting, she's gorgeous and her smile is so pretty! I liked K1's smile too, haha ^^ Secretary Kim Dong Mi sure is a special snowflake – I have mixed feelings about her. The first few episodes are the best, although I have to disagree about it becoming draggy in the second half of the drama. Yes, I lost slightly bit of interest after episode 10 but like after watching a few more it picked up before the final. Personally I lost a bit of interest because of Anna ^^; that's why I felt a bit stuck after episode 10. Oh, and I took pictures of Ji Changwook's face at the end of every episode because he put on the same expression in almost every end screen lol.

    Overall: good! (Ji Changwook <3)

  • 18 Again

    23. 18 Again

    Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes

    10

100% THE best Korean drama I've ever seen in my whole life so far! There wasn't even one second where I didn't feel engaged in the story. Not a single second that I got bored. Every bit of it was amazing! The story is so touching, heart aching and beautiful. The last clip at the end of the two of them as seniors... </3 What an amazing drama! I love it! I will never be able to forget Lee Dohyun's smile (I have to keep up with his next hit dramas ^^). Ye Ji Hoon is such a wholesome character. I wouldn't have been upset even if it turned out to be him she would choose. An additional observation: I kept thinking of Go Back Couple as well as The Dude In Me whilst watching. You could say that this drama is a combination of the two + even more amazing things. I also didn't realise that Lee Dohyun was in Sweet Home until halfway through the drama lol. Once again, I loved it! <3 10/10, could watch again and again! ^^

  • The Uncanny Counter

    25. The Uncanny Counter

    Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes

    8.5

    Good! I watched it together with my parents and they both liked it too. Mom gave it a 9/10 and dad gave it a 8,5/10. I could tell that they definitely liked it a lot and were excited for the next episode. We saw two episodes a day a few times because they wanted to know what would happen next ^^. My struggle was that we had to have Swedish subtitles because my parents are more used to that than English. There were lots of political words that I didn't understand... I'm so used to English subtitles and I'm used to being able to know words just by looking at them, no matter how long they are. I'm not used to Swedish subtitles because it's been so long... ^^;

The Uncanny Counter is another story that depicts a classic hero. I like dramas where the main character is really strong, like Somoon. It's so satisfying to see. Also btw the intro is addicting lol. Motak best boy.

  • HIStory2: Crossing the Line

    26. HIStory2: Crossing the Line

    Taiwanese Special - 2018, 8 episodes

    8.0

Binged in one sitting. The kisses... they took me by surprise >.< Cute. Seems like the volleyball playing wasn't a major thing in the story, only the love lol. Omg... the kisses... sh*t. Originally I was intrigued to watch this because of Patrick Sish as he's the 2nd lead in my favourite drama: Someday or One Day. I kept pending between 8 and 8,5 throughout the whole drama but I decided on a score of 8,5 (mostly because there wasn't a time jump which I was afraid of. Also... the kisses...).

  • To My Star

    27. To My Star

  • A Tale of Thousand Stars

    29. A Tale of Thousand Stars

    Thai Drama - 2021, 10 episodes

    8.0

Such a beautiful story. So sweet and cute. The first half of the drama was flawless, it's that Phupha acted up in the second half that made me retract half a point. There are so many life lessons to be learned from this drama. Some things can't be said in words, you have to see it for yourself to understand them. Tian is such an amazing character. He's one of my favourite characters (throughout all dramas) for sure. I feel like I could relate to him a lot. I hope that one day I can be as strong as him. Apparently the actor, Mix, A Tale of a Thousand Stars is his first drama. Like how?? How is he so good?? He played the role of Tian perfectly. And who gave him that smile??? Who gave him permission to smile like that???? ㅠㅠ Tian the cute pure innocent little bean. A Tale of a Thousand Stars was way too short. I wish there was more.

  • 2gether

    30. 2gether

    Thai Drama - 2020, 13 episodes

    4.5

The first thing that stuck me when I started this drama is that this is a very fan service drama. I started watching this exactly a year ago but I never finished it because 1: it was still airing and 2: it wasn't interesting enough to keep up with. But like it started airing on my birthday so I have no choice but to check it out again you know... lol. Restarting it from the beginning it's an easy binge watch drama. It's rather lighthearted and simple. The story is cute and I'm really into school settings. There was a spark between the main leads but it was very weak compared to a lot of other BLs I've seen. It's cute and all but if you stop watching you will forget about it quickly and leave it alone like I did the first time. But this is by no means a bad drama. It's just not the best I've seen.

On the other hand, although I might be slightly biased (uhum Theory of Love and A Tale of a Thousand Stars), my favourite characters were Man and Fong. Fong was just the best friend and Man was so cute. Man and Type's relationship really hurt my heart </3. They were probably my favourite couple of the show. I cried for Man ok! Especially during that scene where he was made fun of. I do respect Type. I think he was protective of his brother Tine when drawing those tape lines in the house lol and I think he made the decision to get in the car with his coworker instead of Man because he need his job and he has to have a good workplace/atmosphere.

Also what's with the girls? Especially Pear and Air. Why are they so cute? >.<

  • Manner of Death

    31. Manner of Death

    Thai Drama - 2020, 14 episodes

    7.5

First I want to say that this drama is 18+ for a reason uhum I was not prepared lol. But in all seriousness, this would be a really hard drama to stomach would it not be for the romance BL. I really disliked Inspector M in the first half of the show but he got better thankfully. Pleasant plot twist there at the end, talking about him. This is quite a depressing drama, the only light being the romance. Yeah, very much an adult drama in both plot and romance (beware children lol). The actor who plays Tan has a really pretty smile btw. Just wanted to point it out ^^.

  • He's Coming to Me

    32. He's Coming to Me

    Thai Drama - 2019, 8 episodes

    8.5

Oh wow, this drama sure has many merits. In 2019 my cousin asked me to watch this telling me how much she liked it but I only gave it 1/4th of an episode before I discontinued. But there is a right time for everything, right? First of all I want to praise its comedic value. I found myself laughing in almost every episode ^^. I want to give extra praise to the actor who plays Med. He's really good in comedy, sad and romantic scenes. Med is also deserving of the title 'cute bean' alongside Tian (A Tale of a Thousand Stars). Of course I already love Chimon ^^. His character was really cute too. In fact I loved all the main characters.

As a person who believes in reincarnation this was a pleasant watch. There is definitely more out there. There is so much we don't know. Just take space as an example. Then is it such a stretch to believe in ghosts and reincarnation?

Except for Med's cute character and the great humour (am really curious who Khiew's neighbour is lol) , there were a lot of sad and emotional scenes in this drama. Of course they were sad, but I didn't find myself crying to the majority of them (which is a bit rare). But the scene where Thun came out to his parents really got to me. Especially THAT scene felt very real, like how it can play out in real life. His character felt really believable as someone who could struggle with their sexuality. For me, love is love, I don't care (I guess one could call me pan), but I can see how important it is for someone who wants to come out to do so.

Needless to say: I really loved this drama ^^

  • SOTUS

    33. SOTUS

    Thai Drama - 2016, 15 episodes

    1.0

Tried watching this 4 years ago but stopped after 3 episodes. I suspect I stopped watching because of the same feeling that I got during the first few episodes this time too. The hazing (never heard that word before) or whatever made me so uncomfortable. When the first couple of episodes, if I was Kong, I'd cry, punch Arthit in the face once and then change major. I felt so uncomfortable I wanted to cry ok why are they so awful and scary. Power harassment gone overboard x10.

Kong is so cheeky compared to his role in He's Coming To Me. Kong's smooth and bold, yet cringy pickup lines... omg. But I found Kong a bit too full of himself during a few occasions. I definitely liked him more as Med (He's Coming To Me). Bright (Off) is best boy (missing Theory of Love ㅠㅠ). Can't see Gunsmile as a scary guy, I've seen him in too many dramas already lol. Wad and Prem is cute together but we didn't get to see them very much. Too bad May just disappeared after she got rejected. I wanted to see her and M's love story develop some more. Prae (Jan) is best girl (completely different from her character in WHO ARE YOU lol).

I usually only give 7,5 and below scores to shows that I had a hard time completing ('cause of boredom) but it wasn't like this with SOTUS. It wasn't hard to binge, I just disliked a lot of stuff in it (sorry).

  • A Tale of Thousand Stars: Counting 1 to 1000 Stars

    34. A Tale of Thousand Stars: Counting 1 to 1000 Stars

    Thai Special - 2021, 1 episode

    8.0

Happy to see the behind clips :) Mix is such a cute bean in real life too, not just as Tian ^^. All the work that goes into a drama, it's cool to watch.

  • A Tale of Thousand Stars – Behind the Scenes

    35. A Tale of Thousand Stars – Behind the Scenes

    Thai Special - 2021, 10 episodes

    8.0

Tehehee ^^ I put this up here on MDL! I feel proud ;p

It's so cool to see how much work they put into making this series. They basically built the whole set! They built the village where it took place. Mix is so amazing. He's a new actor who debuted with this series and his acting is superb, truly incredible. There was so much pressure on him, but I think most of it came from himself, he put pressure on himself to perfect the role of Tian. He was so absorbed in his character that he couldn't stop crying even after the cameras stopped rolling. He fainted from stress in the middle of recording. It shows how much effort he's put into his role as Tian. Of course fainting shouldn't be praised, you have to look after your health first. I'm just amazed at how far he pushed himself for this role, how much work he put into Tian.

I'm an astrology junkie and a mild stalker so I looked at his astrology chart and the amount of Cancer that he has in his chart... I feel proud honestly. Cancer Sun, Cancer Moon, Cancer Venus and Mars. A loving person. I'm a Cancer Ascendant too so I feel very honoured lol. It shows that he's sincere, emotional and loving. I like to think of the sign Cancer as a mother, how a loving mother treats her child. That's what Cancers are regardless of gender. Conclusion: Mix is a mother! lol no, but he is THAT loving of a person is what I'm getting at. Overall, Mix is an amazing person who is deserving of all the love he is and will receive. ^^

Their 2nd mini album! ^^ I'm so happy for them~ I really like all the songs, especially FEVER, it has my type of sound to it. They are so good at making reality TV interesting. It was really funny. ^^ I will continue to support them, of course! :D

  • A Little Thing Called First Love

    38. A Little Thing Called First Love

    Chinese Drama - 2019, 36 episodes

    9.5

Can someone tell me why I'm crying? ㅠㅠ This drama made me so happy. It lifted my spirit so much. I wasn't depressed at all during these 5 days. I actually started watching this in 2019 but for some reason I watched up 'till episode 31 and then I just left it lol. But it's fine because now I got to rewatch it and experience the happiness again! ^^ lol and I wrote this in my comment back then: "Wassup guys it's Kuan Lin 17 y/o boy from Taipei I really wanna be a swaggy ra-raper in the future" lmao

Yunyian's response to Miaomiao's confession has to be the best I've ever seen. Like– That boy loves her so much ㅠㅠ

I thought the actors and actresses did a really good job at expressing emotions. I felt it in my whole body, the tension, the discomfort, the awkwardness, the cute crushing. They're so young too! Angel and Chai Wei is born the same year as me and Lai Kuanlin is half a year older than me. Bear in mind this was released in 2019. Very praiseworthy acting in my opinion *applauds*. They do be lookin' kinda baby sometimes tho. They do a good job at playing adults but sometimes they look baby. Yunyian looked like a cute pumpkin trying to win her back in the last episode >.<

Spoilers: I was so happy when Miaomiao got the studying abroad prize, I was like "Yes! Now they're not gonna separate!" but haha jokes on me ;( Didn't like that separation part... Also, why were there so many sad scenes in the last episode like Yunyian talking about his mom and Miaomiao getting flashbacks in the car crying after the breakup? Like spare me please my tears are running out ㅠㅠ

(Btw, why wasn't Mr. Li, the architect teacher, in the intro? lol he deserved a spot!)

Lin Xiaoran was always so adorable. He followed her around all the time like a puppy. All excited with big eyes. So cute </3 I desperately need an 'innocent male lead' tag, okay! Their romance was so cute.

I got a Japanese-school-drama-ish type of vibe from this drama. And like many jdramas, in these cases, a low score doesn't mean anything. Jdramas tend to have a lower score but they can be just as good as a kdrama. This drama too has a relatively low score. Would it not have been for Lai Kuanlin I wouldn't have started watching this because of the score.

I can't with them writing about Doctor Who on the blackboard tho... only me who noticed? Also the pikachu costume took me by surprise. I liked it, haha. Spoiler: I cried when she left for class 2 + the last episode toyed with my feelings so much I will never forgive the writers ok I'm hurt ㅠㅠ

So many good characters in this drama (another thing similar to a school jdrama). I really liked Lin Xiaoran the most tho of course. Lai Kuanlin is good at playing him as well as Yunyian (A Little Thing Called First Love) and they're both very different characters. But I'm not really a fan of the dub thing. That's a big reason why I stop watching cdramas in the past. Now they removed Lai Kuanlin's voice... :( But at least it's him on screen, and the drama is good and worth watching regardless.

This is an unforgettable drama. A unique theme whilst still staying true to the classics. The acting is top notch, even the foreigners (rare in kdramas). Idk Italian but it sounds accurate to me when he speaks. The OST is great as well as the visuals. My favourite characters are Hanseo and Minsung (ep 8 was hilarious lol. Can you believe the same actor as that scary guy in Sweet Home?) – their misdeeds, as well as the Vincenzo fanclub member lol.

I saw this YouTube video a few days ago that talked about how expressing mental health in media can affect people negatively. It came to mind as Vincenzo's killings are made to be satisfactory. Of course I, and probably the majority of people, aren't affected by this but I'm just curious if anyone would be. I personally feel like any type of art form should be presented fully, so I don't criticize this drama in a negative way. It just came to mind...

Still suffering from Lai Kuanlin withdrawal, I didn't get hooked until episode 3. After is when Vincenzo really became one of a kind in my eyes.

I usually have a hard time watching historical dramas, but this is one of the few exceptions (alongside Mr. Queen and The Tale of Nokdu). It was a good drama but although I understand why people liked the male lead, I had some problems with liking him. If I was orange, I'd never forget that he tried to kill me multiple times. I especially found it hard to like him in the beginning of the drama and (minor spoiler:) when he joined forces with the 2nd princess near the end. I just cannot ignore some stuff that he did ok. Tsundere gone overboard... I did like the ending, it was nice. Everything, every scene, it all looked so pretty all the time! This is my first Chinese historical drama so tell me; does it always look this pretty? lol. A last complaint: the voice overs. Like, speaking is ok, but when it comes to other noises like breathing and stuff... it just sounded like the Diabolic Lovers song (it makes me uncomfortable). That's why I tend to watch non–dubbed Chinese/Taiwanese dramas more (Someday or One Day & A Little Thing Called First Love, I'm thinking of you~). I enjoyed watching this drama despite my little complaints so don't get me wrong. Best boy Zi Rui comedy legend <3

Very cute <3 My favourite couple was Sang Tian's brother and Na Na. The hokey coach is the same actress as the female lead in Lost Romance, a drama that I enjoyed very much :) My most accurate score would be 8,6/10. There isn't much more to say. It's cute, innocent and soft. Perfect to watch on a day when you feel down :)

"나만 불편한가?" The child actors are really good. I do like Nam Jihyun better with Ji Changwook than Kyungsoo, even tho he's good too. My favourite characters are Iseo's brother and Kim Sooji (crown princess's brother). The crown princess's romance with Mooyeon was so beautiful, why did it have to end like that?? ㅠㅠ retracting some points because of their ending. I was engaged in the first half of the drama but it got more and more boring to watch as it went on. I fast–forwarded the last episode. It was an ok drama.

We've encountered another tsundere everyone!! Enjoyed the Japanese outbursts he had throughout the drama. I don't really get the hype but it's still a drama worth watching for sure. We'll see if I watch the 2nd season or not in the future.

I was reminded of the time when my friend confessed to me. She had started to avoid me and I didn't know why so I got mad because I really liked her as a friend. But then when I met her again months later she told me that she used to be in love with me. Maybe she understood that I didn't like her in that way and that was the reason as to why she started to avoid me. Because if it was another issue she could've told me back then. She doesn't talk to me anymore. I miss her sometimes. Hope she's happy and doing well.

Wow... so heart wrenching </3 so emotional. Guru is so cute and he really has the best family. Everyone around him are so kind. I'm really happy that we didn't get to see repeatedly mean acts towards him because of his condition, which is heavily emphasised in many other dramas that have a similar concept that I've seen (like the Korean Good Doctor, Japanese Good Doctor, Project S: Side by Side etc.). I cried in almost every episode like– ㅠㅠ extremely unavoidable! And when I thought that his uncle's story was the most heartbreaking thing we'd get to see but then (spoiler) they say he's adopted and resume with showing his story with his parents in the last episode I– </3 I cried nonstop throughout the whole last episode...

A very good drama that everyone should watch when they feel like it's the right time. Definitely prepare yourself a bit, don't rush into it expecting to binge it. One should cherish this drama and watch it at a slower pace to properly enjoy it to their fullest.

Omg NO! I just found out that the actor who plays Guru also played one of the guys in the Crash Landing on You happy gang! He's also 17?? Oh dear...

As soon as the intro started playing I knew that this would become one of my favourite dramas. Intros can have a big impact on the enjoyment of a show, hence my appreciation. The OST is really good! I love that it's the main leads who sing them! I didn't think much of Steven in the other dramas I've seen of him, but he definitely showed his best side in this one! I love the character development of Jiang Yi. You really see his colour shifting from bland to bright throughout the whole drama. Vian Wang, who plays Tong Hua, is especially gorgeous (don't need to comment on everyone).

It was quite unpleasant to watch the relationship change between them after their relationship became public, but that's unfortunately probably the harsh reality... I'm inexperienced, but it seems realistic to me, it could be worse too. I don't think one could understand what it feels like unless they experience it themselves.

The ending is just fine to me. You could say she's living my dream lol ^^ I felt both envious of her and could relate to her in an unexplainable sense. I would've been okay with either of the two endings, but the one they chose I relate to more. One day maybe... maybe I can accomplish something too...

I really love the message in this drama! My most accurate score would be 9,8/10 :)

  • Skate Into Love

    51. Skate Into Love

    Chinese Drama - 2020, 40 episodes

    7.0

I watched a little more than half of the drama in May last year but I never finished it because I got frustrated with some characters. Now I decided to watch it from the top after loving The Day of Becoming You, all because of Steven's acting. I finished Skate Into Love in 4 days this time. I give Skate Into Love an 8,2/10. Yu Yan was my favourite character. I felt that he had the best psyche out of all of the characters. I didn't like the female lead 40% of the time. Steven's character in this drama was okay, but it's hardly comparable with the character he played in The Day of Becoming You. I think that I like Steven's facial expressions a lot (I've now come to realise that it's very important in order to enjoy a show), and there were more in The Day of Becoming You lol. Bien Chang was a nightmare! So scary! >~<

Yu Yan best boy, that's all honestly. (Spoiler) The scene in episode 26 when Yu Yuan was performing and he kept making mistakes because he saw the main leads being intimate on stage (a vision) and then he fell through the ice and the main leads were looking down at him as he drowned... it was so well done! Horrible too, of course, but it really expressed Yu Yan's emotions well. I really put value on that scene as an aspiring creative writer myself.

Really cute. I had a great time watching it :) I've never seen an E–sports drama before that I liked. Maybe it's because I'm not a gamer haha ^^; (wish I was) I've seen the male lead actor in Arsenal Military Academy before (that I didn't finish, but it was good). I think that the acress who plays the female lead's best friend, Rachel Wang, is gorgeous! She's so pretty~ Smiling's ex boyfriend is a good guy, he just had a closed off mindset in the first few episodes. I really disliked the episodes where our male lead kept secrets from the female lead. I always hate that. Even if he wants to keep it a secret from his friends, he should at least tell his girlfriend. Luckily he learnt his lesson which is good.

Why do I feel like The Hierophant and our male lead Chessman had a thing for each other? lol and people shipped them in the drama too haha ^^ Also, as someone who have studied Korean for 5 years and is an avid watcher of Kdramas, their Korean sounds really funny to me ;p lol Especially the cursing! ^^

  • Mouse

    57. Mouse

    Korean Drama - 2021, 20 episodes

    9.0

I haven't been so excited when watching a drama since The Day of Becoming You. As horrible as it sounds; I've been looking for a murderer like this in a show. I really loved everything before the transplant. When it turned more sci–fi I got a little disappointed maybe. I think I could've given Mouse an even higher score if it was shortened and without the sci–fi, instead making it more psychological. There were so many details to the point where it reached the edge of the cup. It's a scenario I'm worried about as an aspiring writer myself. I'm bad with names so there were a lot of times I was like "who was that again?" lol. Ah, I really loved the villain as a character before the transplant. I predicted from the start who it was (although I wavered a bit). There were subtle signs all the time as if the writer wanted us to guess it was him. I watched Mouse nonstop and didn't get border at any point.

Hyun Bongshik who plays the police chief was a really likeable character opposed to other roles I've seen him play in previously watched dramas. I stanned Son Woohyun's character who plays Yuhan's friend – really good looking btw. I also really loved Chikook the prison guard. (Spoiler) I hated that Shin Sang detective died in one of the last episodes, "my role model" (written for Koo Moochi as a contact on Shin Sang's phone)... ㅠㅠ

I really enjoyed watching this. I just like his arrogance and his effortless superiority that he has over the detectives. This special also didn't touch into the sci–fi part almost at all. There were some repeated scenes from the drama that I skipped over, but I made sure to see everything new that was included in this special. I'm not a weird fan of real killers and criminals, only well made fictional ones because of their character profile. They made a really good serial killer for this drama.

  • Vagabond

    59. Vagabond

    Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes

1st impressions are really important. It's one of the reasons why I love intros so much. The intro hooked me and made me excited before the drama had even started. The first episode was great. A good drama should have a good first episode. A lot of people say that one should give a show at least 3 episodes before you drop it, but it's actually not good enough for me if I have to wait 3 episodes until I get into it. Vagabond pulled me into the drama immediately and kept me hooked on it with the nonstop action.  I've had Vagabond unofficially on my 'plan to watch list' for a long time, but it never appealed to me enough to start watching it... until now, after I finished Mouse. Lee Seunggi was amazing in Mouse so I decided to finally give Vagabond a try.

The 1st episode reminded me of The K2. Vagabond might be an upgraded version of The K2 lol. Jang Hyukjin who played Kim Woogi, the drug addict, didn't fit as a drug addict because he's played kind roles in previous dramas I've seen lol I just couldn't see him as a bad person. I'm not saying his acting was bad, I just already have too big of an impression of him before I watched this drama.

The ending obviously hints to a season 2. Looking forward to it :)

    Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes

Another tsundere everyone! 박수! But he was a really soft tsundere, a rare find, tasteful. Noh Shinwoo is officially on the 'best boy' list. Definitely one of the bestes boys out there. Kang Yooseok's (Noh Shinwoo) smile is so pretty! ㅠㅠ Noh Shinwoo is so amazing, no one deserves him. The actor who plays Nam Goong is actually really good at singing (shown in episode 13). Woo Taekyung reminded me a bit of Eunwoo when he parted his hair for the Prince talent show. The Prince talent show reminded me of when there was a "who looks best as a girl" contest in Hana–Kimi lol. Talking about Hana–Kimi; Light on Me felt like watching a manga, which isn't a bad thing! Just saying ^^; (Spoiler) I thought we wouldn't get a kiss scene! I'm so happy <3 ㅠㅠ very very happy ;( I got to test out my Korean 'cause I watched the last episode without subtitles lol. I understood around 90% probably, definitely everything important :)

    As for Shin Daon, I once had a crush on someone who was a worse version of him. He treated other girls the same way as he treated me. He wasn't a very good person, but I didn't see that until after I stopped liking him. He later started dating my friend, but it turned out that both of them liked me (as told by my friend who was in love with me), she said that both she and him liked me. I swear I get the weirdest confessions... lol ^^;

  • The Guest

    61. The Guest

    Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes

    8.0

I tried watching The Guest over 2 years ago, in 2019, but I only got to episode 11. The Guest is a really engaging drama. There are always things happening so you never feel bored. The reason for me only giving it an 8 is simply because it's not my cup of tea. I don't usually enjoy horror stories that have supernatural/sci–fi things in them. I think it's really scary. The Guest is way scarier than Sweet Home or Alice In Borderland because it's about spirits and demons and sh*t. It's dangerous to mess with the undead. Never try to contact a ghost/spirit without a professional.

That's some Harry Potter sh*t right there. Hwapyung reminded me of Harry and Park Ildo of Voldemort. All of our 3 main characters are very likeable, including the shaman/Hwapyung's friend, Yook Gwang.

(Spoiler) I might've given The Guest an 8,5/10 if Hwapyung would've died in the end. I was really upset when everything pointed towards priest Yang Yoonmo because that's who I was betting on being Park Ildo from the beginning. I'm happy it wasn't him. I don't like when I'm right or when I at least don't second guess the villain's identity. It takes away the purpose/enjoyment in a way. I was excited about the theory of Park Ildo never leaving Hwapyung's body, but it didn't turn out like that which was a little bit of a let down. I enjoyed the fight in the last episode when he actually became possessed. It would've been cool if he had died. But I teared up when the end scene showed him wearing the cross from priest Choi Yoon around his neck. The ending is okay :)

  • Mr. Heart

    62. Mr. Heart

    Korean Drama - 2020, 8 episodes

    7.0

I'm currently writing a story and there is an important side couple where both of them are male. So today I have been looking at various types of inspiration for their romance, including browsing Pinterest and rewatching clips of Young Royals (btw doesn't the actor who plays Sangha resemble Simon a bit?). I decided to watch Mr. Heart for the same reason. It's a cute drama. The information dump in episode 4 where Sangha tells his life story feels very off which is most likely because the drama is so short. I think it could've been executed better and having the drama longer would've made that easier. Also because all of a sudden there were these loan sharks lurking around him the drama lost touch with reality. This also could've been executed better if the drama was longer. I wouldn't even have noticed these things if it wasn't for Abbie. She have really opened my eyes lol ^^

I swear, tsunderes are their own species, hahaha ^^ The male lead was so dislikable in the first 3 episodes, but from episode 4 I started to like him. I didn't like the Korean version of She Was Pretty, but this Japanese adaptation is quite good! I finished watching it within 24 hours lol. It was really funny and make me laugh out loud a lot! The OST was also quite good, it fit the drama. I also loved the intro ^^

Akaso Eiji played the main lead in Cherry Magic and I noticed that they went to the same restaurant that his character liked in that drama, in this drama too.

    I was being patient with her best friend but after she stole that puzzle piece... I was ready to smack the screen lol. But it all turned out well anyway, even though I can't forgive her, haha ^^;

I saw the last episode without subtitles again lol. I was impatient~

    Korean Drama - 2021, 6 episodes

He just wanted to be a manhwa artist... what is this. This is the absolute worst kind of bullying I can remember ever seeing. So awful... I'm extremely thankful that there is no mandatory military service anymore in Sweden. But bullying like this can happen anywhere. It's so f*ed up that Korea has this formality system. Yes, respect your seniors, but only if they deserve it. Age doesn't equal intelligence nor does it make you superior compared to your juniors.

Han Hoyul was the comedy relief in this serious drama. But he definitely have a deeper backstory that we don't know about. And I can't believe that the actor who plays the horrible Ryu Yikang (one of the people who bullied Cho Seokbong) also plays Chungi's friend in Lovers of the Red Sky ^^; Also, of course, the popular actor Go Kyungpyo, who plays the irresponsible douche in episode 1, is our lovely Yuu in Chicago Typewriter. Diversity in their acting and they definitely nailed it! Do I even need to praise Jung Haein?

  • Squid Game

    66. Squid Game

    Korean Drama - 2021, 9 episodes

    8.0

Hmm... On a bad day I'd have dropped this before things started happening. I think that the 1st and last episodes are really boring, but the others are good. One can't help but to notice the similarities it has with Alice in Borderland. But Squid Game show more backstory of the characters, and there are more main characters (I think?). But is the backstory necessary? I think that's what bored me a little. It depends on what you like.

And our lovely baseball player: Jihoon (Wi Hajoon's character in 18 Again) ㅠㅠ My favourite character, of course. (Spoiler) Did he really die? I was crossing my fingers hoping he'd make another appearance in the last episode... ;( That old man making a pass at him, omg...

The beautiful actress Jung Hoyeon who plays Saebyeok (067) looks a bit like Ni–Ki from ENHYPEN ^^

If I was in a situation like that; would I participate?

  • Racket Boys

    Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes

    They are all so cute >.< Especially Haekang and his tsundere personality (all of these tsunderes... I can't). Tang Junsang can't help but to radiate Leo energy through the screen, even in Move to Heaven! Every drama I've seen with Tang Jungsang have such high scores on MDL (deserved)! All of the main younger actors are born 2002 and under... sometimes I forget that people who are younger than me exist lol ^^;

"라겟소년단 are better than 방탄소년단" – Yoon coach, episode 15. I love all the mentions of BTS ^^ Kim Sungchul (seen in episode 6) always plays so cranky roles lol (like in Vincenzo and Sweet Home).

Slice of Life dramas are a bit complex in my eyes (I think Racket Boys partly falls into the Slice of Life genre). I always have a hard time figuring out how they can be so good lol. All I've seen are so heartwarming. I thought I wasn't the "Slice of Life type of person", but maybe I am.

I would've loved it if I could've been a sports person. Badminton is fun! I've tried a lot of sports in my life, but I feel like the sport I would've loved to utilise the most would be figure skating. Maybe I should've become an athletic person rather than a creative type of person ^^; Oh well...

That jump that Haekang did in the very last scene was so satisfying! It always looked so cool when they jumped high up in the air like that ^^

  • Mad for Each Other

    68. Mad for Each Other

    Korean Drama - 2021, 13 episodes

    8.5

It was refreshing to see an unromanticized portrayal of common mental illnesses and difficulties in a drama. For example, we see our male lead Noh Hwioh struggling with anger management issues whilst still being a very kind person. Having anger management issues are actually really common but it's mostly left untreated. Especially with boys and young men because "boys should be boys". People think it's normal for young males to fight when they are growing up, but it's not. Although, of course, Noh Hwioh isn't in the age group I'm talking about. As for the female lead Lee Minkyung; I always felt so bad for her. And I was thinking: "where have I seen that actor who plays her abusive ex before?" so I check and it's Kim Namhee who plays best boy christian katana man in Sweet Home! ㅠㅠ

On another note: I recognised Lee Soohyun from AKMU when she started singing! I didn't know it was her at first because it's been so long since I listened to their music. But when she started singing it hit me and instantly Re–Bye started playing in my head, haha ^^

The drama is really cute and funny when it's not focusing on the though parts. Their bickering was funny and I loved how they went from enemies to lovers (which I'm usually not a huge fan of).

Also, my favourite character was Samantha ^^

  • Queen of the Ring

    69. Queen of the Ring

    Korean Drama - 2017, 21 episodes

    9.0

If this is not my definition of a guilty pleasure drama then idk what else is lol. I know– I know it's bad! But I like it anyway... I just decided to watch this drama in wait for next weeks Lovers of the Red Sky episode... I wanted to check out more of Ahn Hyoseop's dramas because I haven't seen much of him (except for Lovers of the Red Sky; I also saw Thirty But Seventeen, but I didn't take note of him, nor Lee Dohyun for that matter ^^;). Compared to Ha Ram, Park Segun is not that great... in fact, they're not even comparable. Park Segun's personality sucks like 70% of the time. Let's not even talk about what he looks like! Ha Ram and Park Segun looks completely like two different people! That must be good acting and makeup because if I'd watched it the other way around (Queen of the Ring before Lovers of the Red Sky) I'm sure I wouldn't have recognised that both are Ahn Hyoseop... He looks good in a hanbok and other historical outfits, it suits him more. There was a short clip of him in a historical outfit at the start of the drama (he looked more like the Ahn Hyoseop I'm used to seeing ^^).

It's in our DNA to be attracted to things that are pretty. It's true! Sadly. It's not uncommon to see people like Park Segun in real life, men and women alike. I like this quote "I was actually attracted to your personality, but I like that you look good too". Attractiveness grabs your attention, but you stay for their personality (thinking about idols). Only lonely people would stay with good looking sh*t. Like 'high IQ + cold heart ≠ intelligent', same thing.

It was ok. Every comedic act missed me with just a few centimeters. I felt it was a little bland, which is probably the point. It's supposed to be comedy focused, it's just not comedic enough for me I'm afraid ^^; But it's only a special efter all, so how deep can you really go, right?

I decided to watch Abyss because of Ahn Hyoseop. I don't think I'd have seen it otherwise because of the score. This drama sure is eventful! "Dragon ball" xD In this drama Ahn Hyoseop's character, Cha Min,  gives off an INFP vibe lol ^^ Because in Dr. Romantic he's rebellious and borderline tsundere and in Lovers of the Red Sky he's more calm, cool and gentle. I really love his character in Abyss! ^^

Abyss is a little like Queen of the Ring in that good looks was an important aspect to making the relationship work. Although in Abyss Park Boyoung's character, Seyeon, confesses that she liked Cha Min when they were younger too. But I don't think they ever would've dated if it wasn't for Cha Min's change in appearance. (While on the subject; I was so surprised when Cha Min rolled over in the hospital bed wearing a wig in episode 5 lol)

The only major let down of this drama is that I could guess who the villains were the first time I laid eyes on them. It takes a lot of fun out of the drama when you know who the villains are before they're even revealed. It was also a bit upsetting how incompetent the accomplice was. I had hoped he would turn out to be more of a mastermind.

    Also, I recognise so many locations in dramas now lol. A sign I've seen too many? ^^;

    This is another type of a guilty pleasure drama. I know it's not actually good, but strangely I just can't help but to enjoy it lol. Lee Yoonsung was my favourite character. I thought we'd lost him there in the end, but luckily it was all a misunderstanding ^^ The other guys weren't actually that great. Well, Kang Seowoo was okay, and I shipped him with our female lead's best friend: Hong Jayoung (I keep wanting to call her Nanhee lol because of Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo). I feel like Cinderella and the Four Knights is an upgraded version of the F4 drama trio; Hana Yori Dango, Boys Over Flowers and Meteor Garden (slightly embarrassed I've seen all of them). For some reason I usually don't have any trouble completing reverse–harems no matter if they're good or bad lol guess why ^^;

(That drunk kiss scene is one of the cutest things I've seen in my whole life tho omg >.<)

I did not expect to cry this much. My eyes started hurting because of how much I cried, I'm not kidding. I know how it feels to try hard and make a friendship work but the other party isn't putting in as much effort, if any at all. I'm so happy that Joon's and Soohyun's friendship became a success story! I love their relationship and their bickering ^^ I also know what depression feels like, although my circumstances differs from theirs. It made me so happy to see our main characters lean on each other and see the light together. It was especially visible when looking at Soohyun. He (Bae Inhyuk) became more and more handsome the bigger his smile grew. He went from depressed to a full on tsundere, haha ^^

And I can't believe that the actor who plays Joon's abusive father also played the chef in Vincenzo! A complete 180°...

Also, if Ahn Hyoseop and Ji Changwook had a child together he'd look like Park Jihoon. Just sayin' ;p

I wish I had a success story. Did I not put in enough effort after all?

I have major SLS (which is very rare for me) when it comes to this drama. In Ho is definitely one of my favourite characters ever. He alone deserves a 10, but the rest of the story drags this drama down to a 7. Seo Kangjoon really suits this character! He is the male lead in one of my favourite dramas: Are You Human Too? where he plays two different roles. He is a very talented actor. In Ho is honest, kind, caring, empathic, tsundere and most importantly: he can communicate his feelings and thoughts to other people. Mind and heart creates intelligence. In my eyes, the male lead seemed so full of himself. He always believed he was right. But the thing that frustrated me is that he can't communicate. All of his problems could be solved if he just talked with the other person. In Ho was up front about why he dislikes the male lead and what he's upset about, whilst the male lead just expects him to read his mind and understand him without even saying anything about why he is upset with In Ho. He's like "if you were smart enough then you would understand why I am upset with you". It's so annoying. I don't hate the male lead, but I don't like him either. I never shipped In Ho with the female lead, but I wished him all the best in his personal life. I relate to him a lot and I'm happy that at least his story became a success story. I held back my tears throughout the whole drama, but in the last episode when he called her 개털 for the last time </3

When I was a preteen I had a friend who copied me like Minsoo did to Seol, so I know how it feels. If not to the same extent; it was almost as bad as in this drama. I remember it made me feel very uncomfortable.

I binged this in one sitting. It's a classic binge worthy drama. It's so engaging that you can't stop watching from the moment you start it 'till the end. A lot of people thought that the romance was unnecessary, but I could tell that the male lead had a crush on her for a long time so it didn't feel unnatural to me. I wonder at what point she started to like him tho. It's a really cool drama and our female lead is so badass. I've seen Han Sohee in The World of the Married, 100 Days My Prince and also recently in Abyss. Two of those characters were quite unlikable and I have to say that when I first heard about this drama before it's release I wasn't that interested because she is the main lead. But seeing as the drama had great scores whilst also being available on Swedish Netflix, I decided to give it a try. She did amazing as Jiwoo/Hyejin and I'm so glad I have this drama a try. I'll look forward to her next drama ^^ As for the male lead, I wasn't too interested in him as well. First of all, all of the dramas I've seen where Ahn Bohyun acts in I had never completed. I also wasn't a fan of his character, Pildo, at first. But around episode 4 I started to like him and in the end, (spoiler) when he died, I was so disappointed. Like why? Did the female lead even learn something from this drama? He was her only hope to change, but they killed him off. Anyway, I'm starting to like his acting now so I might start watching Yumi's Cells later (seeing as it is being received well).

This drama reminded me so much of Control Tower so I wrote a recommendation post for it. I've had this drama on my plan to watch list for a while, but once again because of the low score I didn't pick it up until now after suffering from In Ho withdrawal (Cheese in the Trap) lol. Seo Kangjoon didn't disappoint in this drama either :) I liked how calm this drama is, yet it's still able to add these heavy topics like abuse, bullying and child abandoning into the mix, seemingly so effortlessly. Eunseop and Haewon are one of the cutest couples I've seen in dramaland so far ^^ Adorable. I really loved this drama, although I don't think I'll be rewatching it, at least any time soon. My most accurate score would be 8.65/10 haha ^^

Also, Lee Jangwoo. I'm so pleasantly surprised how kind, clumsy, responsible and funny his character is. Because, you know, I kept thinking about Lee Jaewook's character Baekgyung from Extraordinary You (whom I hated) throughout the first few episodes of this drama. I really liked his character in When the Weather Is Fine.

  • He Is Psychometric

    78. He Is Psychometric

    Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes

    3.0

I started watching this drama in March 2019 but I only got to episode 8 before I dropped it. I also tried rewatching it once before this time, but I gave up that time too. Now I've finally rewatched it from the top. The best parts of the drama are the 3 first episodes and the last episode. The other episodes are very confusing. I'm usually very good at keeping up with details and stuff, but this drama totally lost me with all the different cases coming together. It made sense in the last episode tho, kind of like a failed attempt at the Someday or One Day concept.

I would've loved it if everything took place when they were students. I think it'd have fit my taste more if it turned similar to Somoon from The Uncanny Counter, instead of this time skip to adulthood we got. The romance is cute, but the spark isn't strong enough for me. Jinyoung and Cho Byeongkyu (who btw plays Soomon from The Uncanny Counter lol) deliver superb acting in this drama. Although Lee Ahn as a character is a little flawed, Jinyoung gave him life.

I have to say that I hated the "scary" music. I cringed every time it started playing ^^; And as for the mystery, I'm content with the plot twist in the end. Knowing the perpetrator from the get go is never preferred for me, so that's why I was pleasantly "surprised" when the truth came out; by showing the plot twist.

The Thai adaptation of this drama, Who Are You, is one of my favourite Thai dramas. When I watched that one I didn't know that it had an original version, which is this Korean drama. I have to admit that I had forgotten all about the love triangle in the Thai adaptation. I knew all of the events with the twins, but the romance had slipped my mind. So I don't remember how I felt when watching the Thai adaptation, but in the Korean version the SLS hits hard. It seems I'm not the only one who thought this because I read that they won the best couple award lol ^^ I think that Taekwang's personality and backstory was more developed than Iahn's. I also think that Taekwang's and Eunbi's personalities mixed better and they had the cutest scenes together. The kiss was also given by Taekwang. I remember being really disappointed with the male lead in the Thai adaptation, but for some reason I could better understand him in this original. I felt that the last episode was very underwhelming considering how much I enjoyed the other episodes and compared to the Thai adaptation. But the OST is really good and the story is very enjoyable and time passes quickly when watching. I do like the Thai adaptation better than the original, but I really liked this one too :)

I've been seeing this drama pop–up often, but it wasn't until finishing School 2015 and liking the character that Yook Sungjae played that I became more interested in watching this drama. I tend not to watch episodic dramas and usually prefer stories that only stretches throughout the whole drama. But maybe I should start to watch some more of those because I really liked Mystic Pop–Up Bar.

Episode 5 made me cry so much ㅠㅠ When the husband had forgotten that his wife had passed away my heart just </3 I cried so much...

Towards the end of the drama I started to get worried that Yook Sungjae's character, Kangbae, was mainly used for comedy relief, but I'm happy it took a turn during the last couple of episodes. It made his character more important to the story. He was really cool and I had hoped to see a bit more of his coolness but oh well, it only lasted for a little while.

I pitied Woljoo a lot because I felt like everyone were too harsh on her. She wasn't treated fairly in my opinion. But that's up for debate.

And it's Byungin (Mr. Queen)! I mean actor Na Inwoo haha ^^ who plays the evil spirit Wonhyung. I was surprised to see him.

I can understand why this drama has a little bit of a low score. The drama is at least 80% filler and Eunwoo's character is sadly quite useless. But maybe it was intended for the male lead to be that way since this drama focuses on our cool female lead, Goo Haeryung, whom I really liked. My favourite character was Officer Min Woowon, I really liked him ^^ Even though I have a lot of potentially negative comments about this drama; I really enjoyed it. It was very fun and lighthearted. I would give this drama an 8,3/10.

    I finally watched Todome no Parallel after more than 2 years lol. Initially I wasn't interested in it because I like the ending of Todome no Kiss as it is, I think it's really beautiful. But now after having watched Todome no Kiss for the 4th time on my dvd (yes I have the drama on dvd at home lol) I just wanted more and thought "f*ck it, let's give Todome no Parallel a try", and so I did. I liked it of course! It's still Todome no Kiss and Yamazaki Kento, my nr.1 favourite actor, after all. And it's really interesting to see the parallel universes that continue on. It kills the curiosity you get when you find out the secret from Harumi in Todome no Kiss. It was a lot of fun to watch this. I could tell it was of lesser quality than the original drama itself and that it's more like a special, or even a parody of some sort. But I enjoyed it nevertheless. Every episode my reactions varied like sometimes it was "wow, that's funny" and sometimes it was more like "omg... wtf" lol. I'm cool with the ending. It's ok. But I prefer the original ending because it's more emotional ^^;

  • Dali and the Cocky Prince

    86. Dali and the Cocky Prince

    Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes

    9.0

I've found another hidden gem. I define hidden gems as dramas that rose high above my expectations, and this drama definitely did! I love the two main leads so much. But like almost all other characters were trash, except for Wontak, and Dali's father of course. Mr. Jin's half brother was so creepy. I only liked him for 1 second in the last episode. Let's not even talk about Taejin! He's awful, creepy and probably has some sort of antisocial personality disorder. His actions reminded me a lot of the male lead from Cheese in the Trap (although he never killed anyone, only assulted his BEST FRIEND! I do hate him, I do).

I got really worried in the last episode with the time skip and everything lol. Dali and Mr. Jin definitely deserves a spot on the cutest couples list. Their chemistry was great ^^ I liked that they started their relationship (spoiler) in episode 14 and not earlier.

And our Mr. Jin has proven to be from the tsundere species. I liked his eccentric character ^^ (although he frequently gave me 2nd hand embarrassment lol). Kim Minjae is very good looking so I swore I recognised him from somewhere and yes; Dr. Romantic 2, Goblin and Hit the Top (that I saw such a long time ago). He didn't stand out to me before, but I really liked him in this drama. I should keep up to date with his next projects :)

"Is this a nightmare?" – Tak Dongkyung

"Your life is a nightmare." – Doom

I felt both joy and fear whilst watching this drama. I usually hate dramas like these where a character has a serious illness, because of my hypochondria and stuff.; so it was very hard for me to watch this. But I like the drama so much that I couldn't stop watching. I did enjoy the overall depressing vibe. It felt kind of comforting. But I had to spoil the ending to myself tho, so that I would be prepared. But I did take a break from this drama for over a month; leaving it at episode 11. But it was a good episode to leave it on because episode 12 and 13 is like recap lmao so I was able to remember what I had forgotten ^^ The ending felt incomplete in a good way. By ending it like it's no big deal, nothing out of the ordinary in the last conversation we saw, they are foreshadowing that their story continues without us. I liked that.

Park Boyoung is really gorgeous in this drama. I love her hair and her Japanese inspired fashion style (that's what I see). I've seen her in many dramas before, but this is definitely my favourite of hers. She was the MVP in this drama :)

Yeo Jingoo is truly an incredible actor! I'm amazed by how well he played the original king. I quite enjoyed seeing the polar opposites towards the first half of the drama. I liked seeing him as a clown at the start of the drama, and I enjoyed seeing the crazed king (as weird as it sounds). So I have to say that I enjoyed the first half of the drama more than the 2nd half. (Spoiler) seeing the original king die just like that left me feeling unsatisfied. I kept hoping for a plot twist of some sort. I would've liked it if there was more of a showdown between the two. The first half of the drama gets a 9/10 whilst the 2nd half gets an 8,2/10.

My two favourite characters were officer Yang Mooyoung and the brainiac Joo Hogul. So why?! ㅠㅠ My favourite officer Yang (spoiler) freaking died in the last episode like– ;(

Seems I've seen a few 사극 dramas now because I'm starting to recognise the locations. I also recognised the prison; I've seen it in the Agust D '대취타' MV.

My cheeks hurt from smiling and laughing every episode lol ^^ I actually started watching this drama in 2019, but I only watched up to episode 18. But that's fine, because now I got to rewatch it ^^ A lot of it was my type of humour, but I cringed a lot too >.< For some reason I want to compare it with Zettai BL ni Naru Sekai VS Zettai BL ni Naritakunai Otoko (long af title) probably because I made a comment on that it wasn't my type of humour. So compared to that special, Waikiki is waaay more up my alley ^^

Why does Kim Junghyun play these types of comedic roles so well? I mean; king Cheoljong in Mr. Queen, Goo Seungjun in Crash Landing on You and now as Kang Donggoo in Waikiki. Apparently he was in a scandal or what not this year/2018, but form what I read it's a private matter. I just want to compliment him on his acting because I love all 3 of those characters he played ^^ (I have seen him in School 2017 too, but I never finished it tho lol ^^;) I will stay updated so that I don't miss out on his future projects :)

So how would I describe this drama? Fast paced, very cringy yet somehow cute. I finished this drama in one sitting. It's like watching a short BL, just that it's about a straight couple instead lol (bad joke, I know). Since it was so short I liked that there weren't any drama. That way, even if I'm not a big fan of the drama, it was easy to complete. Of course, this makes it a bit plain as well... I can't say that I didn't have any expectations going into this either... Umm, well this was an experience anyway. Not something I'd rewatch (they were literally eating each other 50% of the time). But well, it was an okay watch for an otherwise boring Saturday night ^^

I liked this drama more than I thought I would. I think that the characters and the actors who played them is what made me like this drama. I loved our female lead, Chae Songah, very much. She might be one of my favourite characters throughout dramaland ^^ Seems I've come to like the actress who plays her: Park Eunbin. I'm currently watching The King's Affection where she is very tsundere, but I like her character in this drama a lot more. As for the male lead; he wasn't perfect. Even though as a viewer we know the details of his situations better than the female lead, I was still always on Chae Songah's "side". But my main reason for starting this drama is because of actor Kim Minjae who plays our male lead. I really liked him in Dali and the Cocky Prince so I wanted to see more of his work. He acted really well in this drama too and I'm gonna stay updated on his future projects for sure :) The other reason as to why I gave this drama a shot is because I really love piano music, and a lot of classical music overall. I'm not any good at playing the piano, but I love listening to others playing it.

I was surprised to see his name in this drama. I started watching this drama in 2018 but I only watched 13 episodes. Now I rewatched it from the top. Rowoon's role was extremely minor lol. But I stayed for Kim Junghyun. I remember that I wasn't a fan of his looks back then, but my taste has changed because now I find him very handsome ^^ There is also Jang Dongyoon, of course, who reminds me of The Tale of Nokdu which I enjoyed. School 2017 was enjoyable. I do like School 2015 more tho. But I'm glad I watched this drama.

Not even the "villains" were scary, instead they appeared clumsy lol. I'm used to seeing our main lead actor, Seo Inguk, play more serious roles like he does in The Smile Has Left Your Eyes and Doom at Your Service. But it was nice to see him play the puppy love guy role too, haha ^^ Of course it was nice to see Nam Jihyun again too ^^ They had great chemistry in this drama. I really liked the time altering in this drama. It was easy to understand and there were no exceptions to the rules. Our male lead was stuck in the rouble for 31 days together with our female lead's father. Her dad din't make it, but he was wearing a watch where the time stopped at 10:33 PM. Our female lead is able to contact our male lead through her father's old phone number. The two can only speak to each other for one minute between 10:33 and 10:34 PM. The time difference between the two is exactly 31 days. Everything has to do with our female lead's father. It's like he was helping them. I think it's easy to differentiate between the past and present realities as long as one pays attention to the storyline. Only episode 14 and 15 were a bit difficult for me to differentiate the two realities, but it all came together in the last episode.

I felt like this drama's time passed a bit slower for me than usual, considering how much I liked this drama. But I think it's just because there is no comedy and everything is so serious. But that's fine.

    I really liked all the acting of the characters. I can't say that I liked any character very much, but all characters were well made and the leads were very smart and competent; no room for silly stuff. Our male lead's biggest flaw (in my eyes) is simply that he acted like a snob when he didn't recognise our female lead when she met up with him in the same past timeline. But of course it makes sense for the story. Our female lead's biggest flaw is that (spoiler) she killed her friend and landed in prison before they even altered anything! + that same friend ripped her off and hit her with a brick! Then when it changes they act all chummy like nothing happens and her male friend does all these kind acts for her, trying to win the favour of the viewers. Basically confesses his feelings at the end of the last episode too... I really don't want to like him despite him being so kind... ^^;

I just recently started to like historical dramas, so when I first read about this drama I wasn't interested. But I started watching it because of Rowoon and also partly Nam Yoonsu (I keep wanting to call him Kitae lol). Whilst this was airing I put in on–hold for a month and instead I had time to watch more historical dramas as well as Do You Like Brahms? where I fell for Eunbin ^^ In that drama she was very soft, but in this drama she's a tsundere, haha ^^

I was less interested in the political/murder part of the drama and mostly only liked the romance, comedy and hidden identity parts. I really like Jung Jiwoon in the first half of the drama. His character is almost like a 2nd male lead character. He reminded me of Nakatsu from Hana–Kimi when he was unaware of her gender but fell for her regardless. Reading comments over the 2nd half of the drama made my liking for him go down a bit. I agree that he could be seen as a bit weak. But compared to Eunwoo's character in Rookie Historian, Jung Jiwoon is great. I also feel like Jung Jiwoon is getting hate for being like a typical female lead. He was kept in the dark about a lot of things and someone always came to his rescue him. So I think that the hate is kind of sexist.

This drama made me feel very confused and conflicted. I didn't feel a strong connection to any of the characters. I hated his mother tbh (she's up there with the True Beauty mother). I kept reading people's comments on every episode and everyone said they were crying during every episode. But I wasn't. Because I feel like we didn't know the characters well enough and the bond between the characters didn't feel "deep" enough for me to be moved by the smaller things. Something that did make me cry before the ending was when watching how mean his mother was to him, that made me cry. I don't actually like dramas like these, but I'm watching it for the 2021 Watch Challenge. But I have recently seen a comparable drama to this one which is Doom at Your Service. I liked that drama a bit more because the characters had more personality and the relationship between everyone were more complex. I especially loved the female lead. Of course there is the supernatural aspect to it as well as (spoiler) the happy ending. But I had planned on giving Uncontrollably Fond a 7,5 if it had gotten a happy ending, so I'm not judging based on the endings. For both dramas I find it hard to see how one could fall in love in only 3 months. I guess it mades more sense in this drama tho since they knew each other for longer. Despite the lack of connection, I still found myself crying repeatedly throughout the two last episodes. Seeing him lose his memories made my heart ache. I also loved his final video message that we saw, "Is the love of my life doing well?" </3

    100. Kieta Hatsukoi

    Japanese Drama - 2021, 10 episodes

    9.0

    I liked this drama a lot! ^^ It's been on my radar since I first read about it, but I wanted to watch it after it had completed airing. Today it's December 19th so I watched the entire drama today~ I have to confess that I read the title as Keita Hatsukoi (meaning "Keita's First Love") but I found out that I had read the title wrong and that it's actually called Kieta Hatsukoi (meaning "My First Love That Disappeared") lol ^^;

I liked all the main characters, they were all so kind and cute! Although this is not the best BL I've seen, it still deserves a 9 from me because I had a lot of fun watching it. It's a lot like the shojo manga adaptation movies I've seen, except it's a boy's love story instead of a straight couple. So it's kind of nostalgic (?) to me, in a sense lol. This wasn't even a movie, but it felt way too short! I wish it was longer! ㅠㅠ Am I selfish for wishing for a kiss in the end? I guess one shouldn't expect it when it's pure BL love stories. I was actually really surprised when we got a kiss in (spoiler) Light on Me. I didn't expect one there. But maybe partly because my hopes have risen thanks to dramas like those; I can't help but to carry some expectations... ㅠㅠ But Kieta Hatsukoi is good the way it is too. I will definitely rewatch it in the future when I've forgotten about it lol ^^

(Btw for some reason I got Lovely Complex vibes from this drama... hmm...)
