I think the reason this show is more like a 7 or 6 to me is because the writing is really weak. They're good at…
Just wanna say that I really like this part of your comment: “They're good at writing ‘scenes’ and moments but not a plot.” As a huge lover and proponent of a strong plot (and plot-driven works in general), I never really thought of looking at things from this aspect, but you’re totally right! It’s a very good critique, spot on, and can definitely be applied to other dramas as well!
I will say I wish they didn't use the I was drunk and don't remember part. I was able to read the first 14 chapters…
Ok, maybe a conspiracy theory, but food for thought! What if these boys are using the “I’m drunk, I don’t remember” line as an excuse because they’re still uncertain of where this is going and they’re testing the waters. I do think Wat was drunk at the beginning of the episode (leftover from mast week) because of the way he was acting. Maybe he didn’t remember. But maybe he did! Wat would use the excuse bc he doesn’t know how Tine feels about him just yet, so he says he doesn’t remember in order to smooth things over as if it didn’t happen. Same for Win, who is confused about his feelings as well as Wat’s behavior and what Wat is thinking, so he feels insecure about what he did and plays it off too like it didn’t happen. The way both look right before they say they were drunk makes it seem like they do remember, but their trying to gauge the situation and/or chicken out about owning up to what they did.
I don’t know if that makes sense and it could completely be my own interpretation—I doubt GMM will address this anymore than they have in the series (ie, they’ll leave it as is), but it makes for a fun alternative haha.
I love how Tine always mouths the words/sings along to the Scrubb songs that Wat sings, and the way he looks at Wat when he’s doing it....so cute and pure! Also love when Wat says something maybe vague or neutral but then he clarifies for Tine (and of course it’s always something flirty), so smooth and debonair-like.
From the recap at the beginning, Bright does such a good job emoting. I could feel his pain, jealousy, desperation (I mean he always does a good job so what I am even saying lol).
Still in love with the amazing friends and how they support Tine and Wat, respectively. Two noteworthy moments from this week: “Gross but cheap, so we gotta eat” LMAO and Man and Boss during the bar scene haha
Love the humor, love the pacing, and just agree with every other praise that’s already been sung!
The ending though!! Damn you GMM with your cliffhangers!
I know it’s only four episodes, but I don’t think it’s an excuse for the lack of plot ._. In ep.2 they’re…
Yes, I think that with it being only 4 episodes, then the writing and character portrayal is even more important! It should be strong, succinct, not a minute wasted.
Ahhh unfortunately that doesn't really surprise me at all. I'm of the opinion too that we should be able to separate the actor from their craft, and it's sad that so many BL actors feel the need to overcompensate by insisting that they're straight (as if we don't know haha, but I guess that's due in part to the intense shipping culture maybe?). Also, good point about using the BL for fame and then being so against it--the contrast is a bit strange.
I remember reading about that quote from Singto and liked his attitude about it! It also reminds me of a recent quote from another Thai actor who played Sam in Friend Zone (Nat). He echoed the same sentiment, and Lazy Subber posted it here (if you haven't see) (multiple pics so scroll through): https://www.facebook.com/LazySubber/photos/pcb.1054623531571764/1054616151572502/?type=3&theater
I haven't watched other series with Krist but why does him being awkward in those too not surprise me either XD I guess that's just his acting style haha
Aww man that's disappointing. :( I don't really follow the actors so I'm not always aware of their actions/feelings. I'm curious to know what Krist has done that upsets you! I do remember him seeming uncomfortable about further BL roles and pretty insistent that he wanted to move on to another genre, so maybe he's tired of continuing to be promoted with Singto. (Side note: every picture I see him in, he always makes that little close-mouthed smile and it's a little creepy to me lmao he's smiled like that forever so I know it's nothing new, but it does kind of make it look like he's uncomfortable hahaha). I've been much more impressed with Singto's openess towards roles (BL and otherwise).
I find incredibly depressing how little views has the official youtube channel. Please, I BEG YOU, even if you…
Thank you! There are so many unofficial YouTube accounts reposting the videos, including the ones released in advance on the WeTV app and it makes me so sad to see them. I wish we could report copyright violations to have these removed, but only the creator can :(
So the director apparently has now said that after episode 10, best case scenario is that there will be a really…
Has the director or anyone from the production company said why they haven’t completed filming before airing? I know someone below said that it was common, but it’s still so strange to me lol especially since there are only like 12 (?) episodes (not 50 or something like you’d see in a C-drama where it may make more sense to begin airing due to premier/other airing schedules ). Maybe it is just common practice, or maybe there were scheduling/timing/budget issues? I don’t know, just curious if there’s been a confirmed reason stated.
Ahhh even though TOSSARA is leaving me underwhelmed, I get so excited for this one each time I visit this page. The cover is so adorable, the story—I can’t wait for this one to air.

Edit: well damn, looks like everything except episode 1 got deleted. :(
