Yes!! So frustrating that these types of “tropes” (?? for lack of a better word) continue to be prevalent yet so misconstrued and romanticized/fetishized to this day. I haven’t watched Ep. 5 yet (just the previews which even those made me uncomfortable) but now I’m really not looking forward to it. :/ It’s just crazy how in some contexts, sexual assault will be treated seriously and realistically and in others, the writers want us to think it’s romantic. Not sure how it’ll play out here, but I’m hoping it’s the former!

Also, a lot of this I'm pulling from memory as I read about it awhile ago, but I'm going to try to recite as accurately as possible (I also tried to find links where I could ^^). I'm also sorry if this was more info than you wanted and/or you already knew lol
Re managers: Saint got new managers awhile back (late 2018) so I believe that might be why he's in the Reminders Series. From what I've read, his old management team wouldn't let him do very many fan meetings and I guess wanted to distance Saint from LBC. Also, Perth's manager was saying some really ugly stuff about Saint. This drama between the two management teams were (imo) a big part of the reason why New didn't want to do SS2.
In addition to the managers acting like children, one of the actor's fan clubs apparently got involved (I believe it was Perth's but I can't remember for sure) . Re the money issue: I believe I read from Lazy Subber that some original sponsors ended up pulling out (maybe because of all the manager drama, but I'm not sure--I also feel like I heard that the original network LBC was going to air on decided not to air it and that caused issues with sponsors). They got lucky with that cell phone sponsorship (Samsung I think? When Tin bought Can the phone.) which helped with some of the money issues. I tried to find where I read it online but unfortunately I can't. :(

As for dramas with other series, fortunately I don't believe this happens a lot! Usually the biggest issues I've seen are dramas being dropped or put on hiatus because they just don't get enough financial support from sponsors and similar sources (or, like in the case of Chinese BLs, the government comes out with new censorship laws that basically yank the show before it even airs).
Luckily New is coming out with a lot of projects, so we'll get to see more of his magic. And maybe we'll get lucky and get a SS2 in the future. You may already know, but another director is doing TharnType which also comes from the LBC universe. It doesn't have the same actors, but the ones that are cast look really good! (And Mew is starring in it and he's really good, so I'm excited lol).

I feel ya! According to Mame the novel is supposedly being translated into English (which you may already know) but I’m not sure on the status of that since it’s been a while since the announcement. I’ve seen some parts of the novel translated into English on Wattpad, including all the TinCan chapters, if you haven’t checked there (let me know if you can’t find them—I can send you the link ^^). Luckily the endings are happy so at least we have that thought to comfort us haha

Exactly! I can’t believe what a mess it has been! I’m glad P’New is bringing us many upcoming series, but I hate that he had to go through that with LBC :( I have a good feeling that if we do get some kind of continuation then they won’t write an Ae/Pete break up since Kuhn Mame has spoken out about being upset that people were making her characters act differently than how she created them (not sure what she was referring to though). So I have a feeling she’ll make sure things stay close to the book! ^^
