Title The Lost Tomb 2 Spoiler
For me, second season was better than the 1st, especially for the characters of Wu Xie and Pang Zi. Many people…
Season 1 is about a tomb riding that Wu Xie makes, along with his Uncle, a friend (that doesn't appear in The Lost Tomb 2) and Fatty Wang + mysterious Zhang Qiling (which this is all you need to know about him lol, since no details are given about him - For the Zhang family, you need to watch The Mystic Nine prequel). Here, they meet A Ning, a woman that work for an American old man who wants the secret to..some kind of artifact that can give immortality (this guy also appears in The Mystic Nine as a young adult). They interact alot in the tomb, help each other, and find a part if an artifact . Season 2 starts with Wu Xie finding out that his Uncle has left in a new tomb ride and cannot be found. He goes after him to search for him together with a team where along the season, they find out mysteries of the past that involves his family and that artifact that may give the secret of immortality (which Zhang Qiling may have know all this time)

Hi! The Lost tomb 2 is a direct continuation of The Lost Tomb, with different cast.Personally, before getting into the fandom, I have watched TLT 2 first :D I had a moment of wtf for the 1st episode since I had no idea what is happening, but got over it since it was explained later on what happens. So, to answer your question, yes! You can watch the sequel before the 1st series. If you want a small summary for where season 1, click on the comment with spoiler below, in case you want to start with S2 also and to avoid confusion:)

Title Winter Begonia Spoiler
Episode 33 where Chen Ren Xiang does suicide while performing is heartbreaking and the moment where XiRui is devastated…
True! The acting is incredible! I don't know how he does it with changing the mimic so fast and all the emotion that the actor is releasing into Shang XiRui's character!Even the fact that he made me love Peking Opera which before this, in my ears, it just sounded and looked bad.. Regarding the ghost marriage, apparently it's a thing not only in Chinese tradition, but in some European countries as well. Remember I saw once a documentary with France about that. Creepy I would say... To make things even more sad, I found out from the comments that the song from this WB song has a real story behind it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpB0SvrXPc4 Apparently an opera performer who was forced by the Japanese to perform for them, burned the theater while performing killing the attendance and himself....No wonder the song was used for Winter Begonia..just splendid and tragic

Rooting for Wang Zhi here~Lol:)) Such a grey character with dubious morality, but so good! Hard to believe that the actor is a newbie! All characters have very good charisma together!

Episode 33 where Chen Ren Xiang does suicide while performing is heartbreaking and the moment where XiRui is devastated by Xiao Lai's death and rape (ep 35,36) is even more! Man..don't know how I will be able to watch the next episodes...Tho I know that the novel has an open ending while both leads alive, I am really curious how the drama will actually end.

is this worth watching? I watched the first one bc of the actors but it turned out pretty good. however the second…
For me, second season was better than the 1st, especially for the characters of Wu Xie and Pang Zi. Many people are reticent to watch it due to YangYang not having the role of Zhang Qiling, but the actor that replaced him here does a good job!

Can anyone tell me the order to watch the lost tomb, the mystic 9 and tomb of the sea please. I wanna watch everything…
The order is the following: The Mystic Nine (main plot is around the Zhang family and the Japanese war - the drama is very different from the novel, too much emphases on the villains than the good guys and it can drag quite a bit ), The Lost tomb 1 (here you have the main characters the grandchildren from The Mystic Nine, especially the Wu family which is not very mentioned and the mysterious XiaoGe/ Zhang Qiling), the Lost Tomb 2 ( continuation of TLT1 but main actors changed. Season ends is a cliffhanger and is not continued in the next sequel), The Lost Tomb 3( different cast once again, happens in the future, will air in 2020, possibly between May-August), Tomb of the Sea ( happens when Wu Xie is already older). Personally I watched TLT 2 before all of the series, lol:)) I liked the cinematography and the actors more and I understood more or less the plot.

While I cannot comment on your opinion of the drama which I respect since everyone is entitled to their own, I…
Lol! You just mentioned my all time fav Chinese dramas! I do have a feeling that Winter Begonia will turn dark pretty soon tho! Trying to watch Tiensyn Mystic right now ( while waiting for Winter Begonia to update) and it seems pretty decent also! Gives me a The Lost tomb vibe which is also a must watch for mystery and brotherhood lovers!

:)))) So true! Lol! I liked Eunuch Gao and also though of him! Apparently many historical stuff from this drama are real. Like the emperor, the consort (who in real life actually did exactly like the drama said: make sure that all lovers of the emperor would have forced abortions) and many details.

Yep, you are right with Xianxia for The Untamed..tho for some reason the novel is more xianxia than the actual drama which borrows elements from both genre because of how complex Wei Wuxian is as a character:)). Thinking of this drama as a adventure-martial art genre is better since I haven't really saw even the author of the novel categorize it as wuxia genre tho is fits, kinda with some tropes (we still don't know if there will be romance between any leads since this was adapted from a BL novel so there's that). Aishhh..Don't mention NIF! I watched it so many times that my heart still wants more Xiao Shu and Jingyan.

I've got so many complaints everyone is going to hate me, haha. And I've watched only 3 episodes so far so which…
While I cannot comment on your opinion of the drama which I respect since everyone is entitled to their own, I can comment however on the genre: since when is this wuxia? Wuxia implies more of supernatural, extra skills, while this is your basic ..hmm..let's say Kong Fu/Martial Arts Jackie Chan style. All the wuxia or xianxia dramas I ever watched have that fantastic genre added to them, like..hmm..flying on the sword or actually flying :))Take, for example, The Untamed which is wuxia and has the cultivation to immortality stuff where soul can be shredded. Maybe I got it wrong or someone can help explain if this is really wuxia. Also, lol:)) I agree with the "sleuth"word. Sound a tiny bit weird:D. The Longest Day in Chang'an is in a league of its own. Plot wise and drama production. Kinda want to watch it again..

You saved me! I was watching past dramas on my small phone screen because I couldn't get the website working in…
:) Glad i was able to help! :))) I hate watching dramas on my phone! Too small of a screen and subs are even smaller! Also, if you have VIP, you can also use it on the laptop/computer also, not only app. You just need to log in and it's done:)

Is he a bad guy? He cold-bloodedly arranged for a death of his political enemy in the first episode. I'd understand…
I haven't read the novel from which this is adapted from, so i cannot say anything regarding that, only from what i saw in the episodes and historical data. Consort Wan was the emperor's most favored consort although older than the emperor with quite some years and although no child has ever been conceived. Also, Harem issues can be solved only by the Emperor. For ministers to try and meddle in, means that they tried to meddle with the Emperor himself which was punishable with death is most cases. So, technically speaking, the Eunuch did good; followed orders if what he said was true ( and seeing the Minister's reaction, it was: framing consort Wan and scheming ). Hope that helped somehow. Maybe someone who read the novel can get more in depth with this. Also, ep 3 and 4 have been released:D

So, watched only the first 2 episodes but it really got me want to watch more! Until now, all characters are likable and that bro feeling (or shall i say triangle:)) is definitely there) So many funny moments also! Darren is doing a great job for this role! I also finally found the iqiyi international page for this drama that wouldn't show before for me. Here is it for those who have or want to buy the VIP subscription (1st month free for new users): https://www.iqiyi.com/intl/play/19rwmac43k Edit: I am currently on ep 10 and maan. It sure is hilarious! Lol:))) love the direction this drama is heading to!

Update program is 2 episodes every day from Wednesday to Friday. 6 episodes in advance for those who have VIP on iQiyi. Weirdly enough, i cannot find the drama on iQiyi international desktop version. Only on the Chinese website. Maybe it's on the app as well but it doesn't show yet for me.:)
