The producers of this drama took so many liberties,,that it makes it very hard to watch..,This season is boring and drags a lot...Personally I wanted to watch it because some watchers said that the drama has a similar feeling with Nirvana in Fire, but apparently, in my opinion, it's a far cry from that! While in NiF the protagonists have a certain charisma and a main objective, here..the characters are..let's say..hard to digest. Very good drama budget wise and production, but story and character development very low on my chart. I mean seriously.. this thing with getting sick and dying in 1 episode all of the sudden is just one of the most minor stuff that proves inconsistent story...Many characters don't get the closure they deserve or reach the potential possible.

:))) Yeah! From what I see on twitter:)) Lol:)) There is bromance! I'll just wait to finish the dramas I'm currently watching and will give it a try.

Unfortunately it hasn't been translated. Last time I checked it, it was in hiatus, so i'm not sure if the author ever continued it. Although I also wish for that bromance, from what chinese fans are writing, they kinda made it a minor thing in the drama and changed the plot completely. Crossing fingers for them to be wrong:)) Though I doubt it since it has been filmed prior The Untamed. For the bromance I would go for Nirvana in Fire (if you can ignore the last 30 min of the last episode:)) I heard that Once Upon a Time in Lingjian Mountain that it's airing now also has more bromance than romance:)) I'm waiting for it to finish airing before watching. Tientsin Mystic is another one to watch for!Zhang Ming En won my heart ever since I saw him in Tomb of the Sea!! And the season 2 is waiting for a slot to be aired! Lastly, give a try to The Longest Day in Chang'an. While it's not bromance, it's also not cliche romance. It's packed full with action and the action happens all in 24 hours. :))) This reminded me to also update my watchlist when I have time:)))

Apparently it didn't release yet. It should have been on 19 Nov but it appears to be postponed. The drama still appears to have a slot for this year but...who knows?:( I tried my luck with Google Translate for some online news and some say (if the translation was correct:))) that it's either a temporary postponed for some small changes or slot allotment problems, or it might have something with the bans the government has for Qing Dynasty dramas and it might need revised to be approved for broadcast. Anyways...the drama has been changed a lot...no BL, straight romance and fairly different from the manhua it originated from..

Shame that this was cut down so much since it had a lot of potential. And having to fast forward so much..Turbo Liu is a good actor..Loved him in NiF, but the Asule character is not very likable, in my opinion. I don't use to do this, but I'm glad I spoiled myself with the ending so that I can drop it..No closure or whatsoever.. Production wise though,,,you can see that a lot of money and effort was put into this, so for those who like high-quality historical settings, then this is a good one to watch!

Yes, unfortunately...Personally, I started around 12 years ago with watching Japanese dramas then combined with Kr Dramas. Nowadays however...Chinese dramas look better in terms of production and although they have so many bans from the government, they still manage to put out some very good dramas! Shame..since there are so many good actors in South Korea and they have so many comics that they can adapt it from!

Now...I have no idea how it will be, but on 19 Nov, the ch drama Forward Forever will start airing and it's adapted from a BL novel and manhua... Veeery curious how the drama will be! Will cross fingers because the trailer looks very action packed and really neat!

That's true! Cannot count how many dramas have changed male characters to female ones...and also how many others tried to make me chew some forced bromance that just wasn't there. Uff..If only the producers can just do like The Untamed and stop doing meaningless changes..Starting to be picky when watching dramas:))

As long as they don't change the novels plot too much, don't add useless female characters for the sake of crappy romance AND not over-do the BL element, they should be fine..even with all the bans around. But! It's China...crappy cliche romances are in the majority of dramas and novels...though..in the last 2 years they are getting better! Better than korean dramas which have no improvement yet but are overrated

True! The standards are very high! The HOB novel for me at least, was slightly better than the MDZS novel (loved the more lenghty novels) and the tragedy itself. The live-action...will need to wait and see...Too many bans for this one; more than The Untamed since a lot of the action happens in the Ghost City...and that it's banned already:))

LOL:)))) I've read on twitter that the male director is quite anxious and worried that he needs to make the donghua as per the expectation of the fans:))) Mannn:))) Imagine being in his skin:))) No stress there! Also, regarding the more BL:))) If I'm not mistaken, over 50 BL novels have the right bought for live-action or animations!! After The Untamed success, I guess that it's hard to ignore the demand!

It's completed both in chinese and english. But for the english translation at first there was somebody else who started to translate the novel on their blog and did the first 20 chapters (https://www.sakhyulations.com/novel/heaven-officials-blessing/ ) The continuation has been done on google docs and afterwards converted in pdf files which you can find at the end of the google docs link.:)

Yaasss!! The novel was such an adventure!! For me it was the best of all 3 novels in terms of action and describing all details..and tragedy, of course!

I'm 99.9% sure that we will have something along borderline BL with insinuations more than bromance :)))As much as the China bans will allow it, of course. The novel got so much attention from the community that they will not dare to ruin it with female characters lolz:)))

The promo for the next animation/donghua Heaven's Official Blessing aka HOB has been released and it's gorgeous!!For now, no official date for the release, just the possibility of airing in 2020! Man..the author of MDZS/The Untamed knows how to touch the heart with her novels!
