Great job indeed. Their chemistry is off the charts.I can watch Sarawat and Tine do nothing and just stare at…
I know I mostly talk about Bright but the thing is I can't see anyone else playing Tine now. Win is playing him almost exactly how I imagined Tine to be. Except Tine seems more vain in the book because we can read his thoughts. Another thing, in almost every chapter Tine's heart flutters because of Sarawat....I'm grateful and impressed that that we have an actor like Win, who can convey those feelings through his expressions, as he did splendidly in todays episode. Both Bright and Win are perfect foil for each other.
Whoever paired those two up did a great job. Kudos to the casting director ...
Great job indeed. Their chemistry is off the charts. I can watch Sarawat and Tine do nothing and just stare at each other for half an episode and not get bored. I'm so impressed with Bright and Win.....but particularly Bright, because he has the least no. of dialogues in an episode amongst the entire main cast but his character's emotions are as clear to us as Tine's. His performance is completely on point.
The plot kind of sounds like Love Sick (at the very basic level) but LS didn’t quite follow that storyline like…
I always enjoy the pretend bf/gf premise in BG romances so that was how I was expecting LoveSick to be when I watched it. But LS never followed through on it. This series however is completely dependent on that premise to push the plot forward. They are pretending for most of the story. But the fun part is only Tine thinks they are pretending, Sarawat has no plans to let him go.
Can't help it, I've been re-watching the episode since yesterday. Makes me notice their acting and their expressions…
Yes I too feel actors are mostly the least at fault. They are all usually young and need proper guidance in exploring their characters and portraying their characters emotions. For this they need better writers, acting coaches and good directors. If they want this industry to advance more, they need to start making big changes in the way they create these series. I read somewhere that most dramas don't even have a proper scripts. They write on the go. Sometimes the actors seem like they are adlibing to fill in the scene. Thats why we see scenes that don't make any sense, conversations that serves no purpose to the narrative. Adlibs only work when the actors are professional and experienced. All these series mostly have young kids barely out of school/college with little or no experience. Same thing applies to the scenes with long pauses.....the purpose of such scenes is for us to read/feel the emotions of the actors on the screen but if the actors are not emoting well the scene falls flat. I'm not saying that they don't have good actors....they do. Some of these kids are naturally talented...but they still need to be directed well to reach their potential. Anyways, 2gether did a good job of introducing its world and its characters in the first episode, better than all the other recent ones, I think. The main characters were introduced at a proper pace and build up. Not too many side characters just those that will play an important part in the future. Can't wait for epi 2...hopefully we'll get subs for ep 01 before it airs.
DO THOSE GUYS KNOW THEY ARE IN A THAI BL SHOW? Because I get the feeling they don't. They aren't standing around…
Can't help it, I've been re-watching the episode since yesterday. Makes me notice their acting and their expressions more. Especially Bright....he speaks with his eyes. The scene where he comes face to face with Tine, it did look like he recognized him and there was just a teeny tiny barely there smile. Yes..I slo-moed it...even more. As you said, usually I expect stiff body language and awkward gestures from bl actors but everyone is so comfortable and natural in this. Win is also doing a fine job...he looks confident in his character's skin. Even the side characters did good. Gun was the most surprising for me...I never expected to like Green. Here I am rooting for him....just a little bit. I only realized at the end that there were no pauses and awkward silences....no wonder the episode ended so fast. Do you think it might help if BLs series are given less episodes...so no time to waste in long pauses to death.
i am again sorry for my good peeps here if you are not in twitter. mewgulf the series is highest rating, everyday…
I don't know who to root for after yesterday....Chopper or Gulf. Can a Cat and a dog get along?? This kind of daily drama in the Mewgulf series is such a stress buster for me. Loved the surprise salmon cake. Then they decided to kill the fandom by posting good morning pic together...with Gulf looking he's still half asleep. I love that Mew seems to be looking healthier these days and Gulf seems more relaxed.
What a perfect casting. Bright and Win already feel like Sarawat and Tine. Just wait for the pervert Sarawat to come along...Bright is going to kill it with his deadpan face and naughty lines. Win is also doing a pretty good job for a first timer. And the guy who plays Green...Gun, he made Green less annoying as in the book and more of a fun character. I think I started liking Green after I got upset when Tine wanted to spike his drink. I don't think this was in the book. But they are keeping to the book for the most part. I'm grateful for that. Anyways, I liked ep1 a lot. It did have some editing issues, some scenes felt abruptly cut off and some didn't get proper closure. But overall a well acted and pretty entertaining first episode. Just a teeny bit disappointed they didn't keep Tine's reaction on hearing Sarawat voice. I think maybe they'll put that in when Tine hears Sarawat sing for the first time.
I hope these kids are good actors coz this one has the most emotional and angsty storyline of the 3. They'll need to portray a range of emotions in a short span of episodes. I'll check this out in the hope they changed all the non-con stuff to willing. Thai dramas these days do it all the time...its time thai bls catch up.
From the book......Tine's thoughts, the first time he heard Sarawat's voice..... "A deep, warm voice came through the speakers and made the girls scream. But I stared at the person on the stage without blinking. His voice made my heart flutter. It was unique, exactly the kind I like. "
I'm re-reading the earlier chapters and came across a scene I'd forgotten about. I'm lmao. So Sarawat became popular overnight after he performed on the freshy night concert. Next day Tine's friends came up with the idea to ask Sarawat to be Tine's pretend bf. Now the only way they could get any info about Sarawat and where he can be found was from his fanclub on LINE. It was a private group chat which was full of stalker fangirls who posted hour by hour details of Sarawat's schedule. Tine's friend managed to get Tine included in the group somehow. And that's how Tine became the only guy in the group that called themselves 'Wives of Sarawat'.
From what I'm reading about book 3 in spoilers, it seems this time it will be Tharn who'll become the immature…
Its actually pretty light family drama. All the other couples have funny story tracks. They kept all the high drama for the gay couple. Lee SangWoo and Song ChangUi did a good job. At first they felt stiff but after they settled into their characters their chemistry was pretty good. There are also clips on YT of just their storyline. If someday you're bored and don't have anything to watch....give this a try.

The only drama that comes to mind that had serious discussions about coming out to family and friends, living together, acceptance in society is actually not a bl but a Korean family drama 'Life is Beautiful'. It had a gay main couple. If you haven't watched it give it a try. Its overdramatic at times as Kdramas usually are but they did a beautiful job with KyungSoo and TaeSub's story. Just a heads up has 60+ episodes and there are many other couples....our main couple sometimes only appeared for one or two scenes in an entire episode....until the story started focusing on them.
