I love Xuan Ji! She's one of my favorite female leads!
Yeah... You used the right word, “Memorable.”
If we are lucky, we get: - A masterpiece one like, “Nirvana In Fire1” - A couple of memorable ones like, “Joy of Life1” “Love and Redemption” - Some good ones like, “The Untamed” “Ever Night1” “Once Upon A Time In Lingjian Mountain” “Arsenal Military Academy” “Cross Fire”
*And that within a wide sea of atrocious disasters. *However, 2020 is a SPECIAL one. This year is the year for a copious number of wtf... Chinese dramas. (I apologize for my French)
I love Xuan Ji! She's one of my favorite female leads!
True about what you said.
Few of the climatic and emotional scenes could have used a better voice dubbing.
However, I am restraining myself from nip-picking every single detail of the drama. This has been a horrible, horrible year for Chinese dramas so I am just appreciating one of the very few great ones without my regular nip-picking self.
I love Xuan Ji! She's one of my favorite female leads!
I like her. And I am very and extremely selective about my female lead characters.
Throughout her development, her growth and her evolution within the storyline; Xuan Ji manages to keep that beautiful tenderness from her early years. And also think that specific voice dubbing was more than appropriate for her character.
*Crystal Yuan did a damn good portraying that character.
Hey, the gifs on your profile with the action packed FL, what drama / movie are they from?
Hemmm. I checked my profile but I can’t find what you are referring to.
However, my favorite dramas with badass female lead characters can only be, either one of those followings: - Song of Glory - Lost Love In Times - The General and I - Ancient Detective - Under The Power - Princess Weiyoung - Legend of Lu Zhen
*These female lead characters would be my types of “Badass Female Leads” I hope that helps...
Yes. You got all the social issues and the silver-lining clues just right. There were more to this storyline that…
You and I both... However, I don’t think that we are the only ones. The whining and the complaining that i’m earring from my friends about their spouses strangely are getting more intense.
One of the reasons why it is so illogical is that they filmed like 70 episodes and they cut it to 36. You can…
The editing in this drama is a complete nonsense. And I thought “Love a Lifetime” was bad... No, this one is way worse.
*The storyline is doing more jumping jacks than a physical trainer. I feel like that I am on a parkour trail; I can’t keep up with the crude chopping and editing. Hahaha...
And that’s a drop. The cutting, the chopping and the editing are so abrupt and crude; then in turn, the storyline itself stops making any kind of sense. Following the Chinese entertainment’s regulations, those reductions of episode are doing a ravaging job on those dramas...
It’s hard to develop any kind of attachments to any of the characters. - The Female lead is over the top intrusive with a bizarre hybrid personality/soul. - The Male lead was in love with his sister-in-law and showed no decorum about it. - The Emperor’s character is a slimy snake with an insecurity/inferiority complex.
I feel this is Sifeng (Cheng Yi) again in his nth lifetime suffering on behalf of Xuanji (Crystal Yuan)! How poetic...…
Indeed, It is a magical love story told so beautifully by a not-so-famous lead couple. But good grief, they both were so convincing.
My biggest attraction to this Xianxia drama was not only for the lovely romantic sides of the storyline but also how they tackled the numerous social and governmental issues... That are still being applied even in our modern and non-fictional era.
*This year, I got utterly impressed by 1 actor and 1 actress: - Lu Han - Crystal Yuan
I feel this is Sifeng (Cheng Yi) again in his nth lifetime suffering on behalf of Xuanji (Crystal Yuan)! How poetic...…
That is exactly what it was.
The heavenly emperor/father told him, the celestial prince/little Phoenix, that he will spend the next 10 lifetimes guiding her, assisting her and teaching her how to grow a warm heart before reascending.
Call me “a sucker for grand romance” or “a sucker for martyr storylines” What Si Feng did for Xuan Ji was simply magical.
s1 18 hours ago@Maki https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1lTS8EkvVQ Cheng Yi, men can also cry, just invisible. maisonpippi1…
I wish and I hope for L&R to receive huge success in South Korea. Also, for either Viki, Amazon Prime or Netflix to license it. (I would love to rewatch it on a bigger screen)

Girl, you have to do what you have to do...
Do your thing!!!

That is what happens when they build a perfect character of a male lead.
Now, we have to struggle through the symptoms of “The Si Feng’s After Effects.”
And I thought “Love a Lifetime” was bad... No, this one is way worse.

*No, no... This is a drop for me.
It is on my very, very, very short list of best dramas this year.
I found him very captivating and mysterious in both the Noble Aspirations and the Lost Tomb’s series.
But I do agree with you about his full potential has never been put on display until now, with L&R.
As for these 2 that I mentioned above. I always had unfavorable views toward them. Until this year, that is...
But good grief, they both were so convincing.
My biggest attraction to this Xianxia drama was not only for the lovely romantic sides of the storyline but also how they tackled the numerous social and governmental issues... That are still being applied even in our modern and non-fictional era.

His girl is fatally high maintenance:)

Si Feng and Xuan Ji
- Best boyfriend, fiancé, husband and male partner, goes to:
Si Feng
Also, for either Viki, Amazon Prime or Netflix to license it.

Those would be of tremendous help.
