actually it doesn't matter even though it is played by a very young actor, as long as he has the disposition and…
Yeahhhhh That role was made for him and for him only... It’s like replacing Emilia Clarke from Game of Thrones in the second season with a whole different actress while the khaleesi‘s character gets dumb down and becomes acrophobic and pyrophobic. Ridiculous... Just ridiculous...
My own personal complaint is to remove the sounds from the behind the scenes’ extras. I want to immerse myself in that beautiful final credits OST song; however, the constant sounds from the behind the scenes are so irritating.
First Impression: This drama is very flat. In terms of acting skills; no one is above anyone. It’s average at best. This drama is also made up of a lot of supporting casts seen in other dramas. I guess the production house agreed to give them a chance; which is rather nice. In terms of visual and cinematography; the imageries, The intricate details and CGI are well refined. I do really really really love the entrance OST music piece and the final credits OST song. It has Ever Night 1 and The Guardian’s vibes. It is very enchanting. Side note: The male lead here had played the younger male lead in Noble Aspirations in 2014 - 2016. That was about 5 years ago; why he still look like he is 12 years old?
Ok the way u said idol actor make them look like they have no skills and only got what they have today purely…
Yeah... The ones who can act effortlessly without ever been trained... That is what we call an inner talent. Not every actor, dancer, singer or idol has that fortunate aptitude.
I'll take statues over the "interesting" delivery of Handsome Siblings, where they so painfully overact that I…
Yeah I agree with you. Handsome Siblings is the right drama that you should compare The Great Ruler to... The over-acting and the under-acting with some sparks of normality in between are just atrocious and exasperating in HS.
As for Sun Yi, she is unattractively too skinny. She is literally bones and skin. She is the definition of a “Chinese Anorexic Actress.” I always feel uncomfortable watching her acting.
@Joni Sin You didn't understand anything about this drama...
Since NQ, himself, was a child when he rescued her as a baby and simultaneously grew up with her together; therefore, it is understandable. They are not blood related.
I agree with you :) I'm completely invested in watching the show despite its flaws because just like you I LOVE…
I am just being a smart ass... Don’t mind me... The director’s peculiar adaptation of this season’s TONE feels inappropriate and taboo. Not the evolution of their relationship into love from the original novel.
Non-stop pepsodent smile lol. Are you rage-watching this drama? I'm impressed you've not dropped it yet! I bow…
And this exactly what pissed me off the most. With the outstanding calibers of all those actors; how does one manage to destroy a series like that? It is incomprehensible to me.
They actually mentioned Journey to the West in one of their jokes.
During the last competition. WL referred to himself as the monkey king (peculiar, unique and rebellious who kicked all those pigs’ asses in heaven). And his bromance interest answered that he was about to be the hand of Buddha to press him down...

People were bad-mouthing Arthur Chen’s acting skills in EN 1?
Why, they were delusional... deluded... schizophrenic...?

That “Buy 1 and get 1 more for free” hairstyle... not many actors can work that unattractive hairstyle.
Except Kai and BinBin, I have not seen any other actors whom look cool with that weird combo hairstyle.

I had a blast watching it. And I watched it 2 fois.
