100% accurate! I said it after ep1 because the issues were so glaring. I can't understand how you want to present a supposedly complex story but don't even take time to set the characters backgrounds and personalities. I mean, that's the first rule of Creative Writing 101!

Yeah, he's not that bad. It's not cringe but sometimes he's a bit awkward, like you can see him acting, if it makes sense.
Maybe people are focusing on the acting because there's nothing much to focus on ? I mean the series has been kinda boring until now.

Why do you use the OhmNanon comparisons to dismiss valid criticism? Many people have explained why they don't like the show and it has nothing to do with OhmNanon:
- no characterization of Talay & Puen
- a plot thin like paper
- but somehow it moves too fast
- main leads acting (mostly Jimmy's)
- no real use of the parallele universe : the characters are living their daily lives like nothing happened. The story could have been set in our world and it would have been the same.

I couldn't agree more. I said all this after ep1 but got told it was too soon to have an opinion... Now we're in ep4 and nothing important happened and there's still no characterization for TalayPuen. Basically they used a cool sci-fi concept to stand out from other BLs but they don't know what to do with the plot except a common romance.

What's wrong with it? Honest question.

Weird trailer: the plot is about an eclipse that punished "bad" students but 1 minute into the trailer we're just seeing a romance. Where's the suspense? The mystery? I prefer the first trailer.
Anyway, I'll be there because I like First & Khaotung. Really hope it will be good cause they did Khaotung dirty with TonhonChonlatee...

They should have switched to Yanase's pov 1 or 2 episodes before, because he's funny in a moronic and drama queen way.
So they're telling us Yanase & Kaneda didn't communicate for a whole year? Yanase kinda confessed to Kaneda and asked him to wait for him but he didn't speak to or text him for a year? Why?!
Then once he's back, it took them several days to talk even though they're working in the same open space? Hard to believe...
I like this series but they're always missing opportunities to elevate the story and characters' development.

Good first episode (though the awards ceremony was cringe). I love BillySeng and they didn't disappoint. I like that their characters are mature and unlikeable, it's a change from candy characters. I have so many questions: what's wrong with Pan? What is he doing with Nott? From the trailer, it seemed Nott wanted more from Pan but now I see he has other fck buddies... And Pan's manager is weird. I don't trust her and Nott.
I just hope Copy A Bangkok will add subtitles for the text messages and social medias; because we're missing 50% of context!

On another note: that must have been an interesting experience for BillySeng considering they're one of these couples doing fanservice non stop. I wonder if they reflected on their behaviour. They're always together, always touching each other, laughing at each other jokes... They obviously do it for fanservice, mostly during events but I honestly think at this point they're being themselves, just two tactile persons who enjoy spending time together. As of today, they're still very clingy to each other lol.

So the classmate being a fujoshi isn't BL trope? The ex-girlfriend appearing isn't BL trope?

People on Youtube are like cult followers: always praising every GMMtv series, no criticism at all. It's frightening.

I agree with you. The teacher is a good parallel of ShinAkira. But is this something that should take several episodes? Of course the women aren't rivals to Shin or Akira and don't pose a threat to the couple. My point is all these characters are distractions that in a way could delay the progression of ShinAkira.
I wouldn't be saying this if these situations happened while ShinAkira were starting a relationship and figuring things out and these characters were added either as conflict elements or as supports/informants characters.
For example :
- The teacher is a good idea because it's a parallel to ShinAkira and makes Akira doubts his decision to have a relationship with a younger guy.
- The new woman is Akira's old friend. She knows him very well and through discussions she makes him realise he's not a perv, he truly loves Shin and should believe more in Shin if he wants their relationship to work.
- The classmate confesses to Shin but got rejected. However she keeps trying to change his mind, it becomes uncomfortable for Shin and makes him question his own behavior toward Akira, and he's wondering if he didn't pressure him into this relationship.
With a set up like this, the situations add dynamism to the main couple's relationship. As it is, we have a main relationship that moves too slow and secondary plots added too quickly.
Next week, we'll be at the halfway mark of the series. I really hope something happens at ep6 or ep7 and that they won't drag the cat and mouse game until the end.
Don't get me wrong, I'm loving the story and I'm not saying it's bad. I'm just saying, we are at a point where the story starts to be repetitive for me.

I hate to say this but I'm starting to get bored. Why all these obstacles coming at once (teacher, female classmate and the another woman)? And on top of this we're adding a secondary couple?!
I love ShinAkira but I wish the story would progress faster now...I need something to happen in order to propel the story : either they kiss and Akira regrets it or we get a time jump to a time Akira deems Shin old enough to be with him. I can't deal with 12 episodes of "will they, won't they?".

You know this is bad when Nanon/Ohm/Chimon can't save the series. I can't deal with the dramatic camera work and the overuse of useless suspense. Also, the cast consists of good actors but here they were all overacting in too many scenes, which is proof enough that the directing was bad. Dropped it at episode 2.

I miss SCOY! I miss NueaToh! I have so much love for this couple.

Did you really watch BB? OhmNanon had 2 passionate kisses with open mouth, a lot of pecks on lips and cheeks, holding hands and an implied sex scene while 2gether had fish kisses and pats on the head. But you're saying these two couples delivered the same chemistry and kisses ? Really?
