Title Gozu
Not sure whether I am lacking knowledge on the director's overall filmography, Japanese urban legends and mythology,…
LMAO! One of the best comments I've come across on here in a long time!
I was literally about to troll the comments to figure out what the heck the movie is about, since the synopsis gives nothing, and saw this! I totally fell out what I did. Needed that. You rock!

Title My Man Spoiler
I have my suspicions about why he strangled his mom - he was probably sexually abused by her. It would explain a lot if it were true. They both had misconceptions about the right ways to express their love for one another despite believing they were blood-related father and daughter (which is what I figure he had been alluding to when he told her that he'd spent some time staying with her mother not long before she was born). After the 2nd murder it's like she finally had to admit to herself that there was something wrong about their relationship. She clearly tried to move on and move past it but that last scene makes it clear that he still wants to be with her. His understanding of family is seriously twisted.

His throat wasn't slashed. His femoral artery on the side of his neck was cut, which squirts a whole lot of blood like they showed. The person bleeds to death (bleeds out) in minutes. But his windpipe works just fine.

Person Zhang Han
Is he?
The comment below is not factual. It's typical Netzian behavior. The man was acting yet people took it way overboard. Like we've never seen anything more than hand-holding and frozen pecks to the mouth kissing by 30+ adults in dramas. The man made the mistake of writing and playing a character that was not the typical (fake and completely unrealistic) ML character of a cdrama for minors. He wrote the drama (and acted accordingly) like real life 30+ adult males, or those that can be seen in dramas anywhere else in the damn world (including jdramas, kdramas, Thai dramas, etc.) . And - on par with netzian behavior - of course the accusations go way overboard and now in real life he's suddenly an abuser and cheater and shit. They say how disgusting this type of behaviour is in the very dramas they watch but yet the continue to behave in this way. Like they aren't ruining people's lives by spreading rumors as though they are factual. Deplorable.

same I'm back after months it's just so entertaining...the stark contrast between the two top reviews 😭
My first time coming across this and that first review was just damn ridiculous. It's just DUMB! Maybe I'm too "westernized". Maybe that reviewer doesn't have HBO or Cinemax or, shit, Netflix! Or they're 12?? Or never watched a jdrama? I could go on and on. I haven't even watched the drama but was still irked by the absolutely ridiculous comments in that review! What century am I in? I feel like this is a Matrix-gone-wrong moment. Like we're really in the Matrix and there's one hella glitch happening that's making my brain twitch. Yes, "my BRAIN twitch"!

Flying off the handle over seriously trifling stuff. Even if some of the behaviours aren't appropriate towards women it's not like it's the first drama to show asshole-ish behavior from men! People don't fly off the handle to this level about those dramas though. We get pissed and rant and rave about the character but since when does it become about the series (and writer) as a whole?? It sounds more like an everyone joining the bashing bandwagon kinda situation. Even if some of the men's behavior was bad, isn't that how more than half (and I'm being generous) the male population are in real life? Typical Dramaland ML's ARE NOT REAL!!!

Based on the things people seem to be complaining about it just sounds like the writer - yes, I know who wrote it and don't care - was trying to make the show as REALISTIC as possible, and not drama-land-it-up. Like the over-the-top way they're getting upset about some of this stuff...maybe they never leave their houses? No, I'm not saying sexism and all that other crap is okay - of course it isn't and anyone who knows me personally can attest to how completely and utterly against it I am - but it's a drama!

Again, I haven't watched it - I eventually will - but these comments are freaking wild! I guess this is why Asian idols always have to pretend to be absolutely perfect.

I have no clue what this is about after reading that synopsis. Can someone please enlighten me? It's on viki and while the synopsis there is better I still can't really tell if this is something I might be interested in.

Hi Venus by the same screenwriter.
Ahhhh! That makes so much sense! I literally just finished watching Hi Venus (and loved it) and came across this gem. Only 2 episodes in and I can already tell it was the perfect pick. As soon as I read your comment I realized, and recognized, that there's an underlying mellow/comforting (I can't really describe it well) vibe that just seems to roll straight from Hi Venus right on into this. It's definitely the writing. And both dramas having great actors who are able to pull it off. And directing. There's a natural-ness to the way the stories are told and the characters behave that I think this screenwriter is crazy talented in creating.

The OST so far in this one has been catching my attention too though. The music is so...pleasant? Soothing? Healing?? It matches the beauty of the cinematography perfectly. So much so that for the first time ever I wondered how the people responsible for the music do their work and had a thought that it's pretty genius. That has to take serious skill and planning to pull off so perfectly. And the scenery in this one just gives it a whole new tone, relaxing on a whole different level from anything I've watched. Even the FL's voice! The way she talks is so soothing! I kept thinking she's PERFECT for any sort of service roll because she could calm anyone down with the way she spoke and carried herself. She speaks and no matter what the person might be feeling they suddenly are perfectly in agreement with whatever she says, like she always says exactly the right thing in a way that subtly gains your agreement. She didn't even offend the guy she was rejecting at all! It was crazy. If she isn't that way in real life she seriously deserves a damn Oscar for her acting!

All this and I'm only TWO EPISODES IN!!!

Luckily that screenwriter didn't botch the ending of Hi Venus so I can comfortably anticipate loving this from beginning to end. These two dramas have taken Asian dramas as a whole to an entirely new level for me, right at the beginning of the year! They're gonna be some seriously tough acts to follow if this one continues to flow as it does.

The timing couldn't be better for me though. I'd been struggling to find dramas to watch, or even re-watch, that could match my moods or maintain my interest for several weeks now. I don't think I even really knew what I'd been looking for. But the feel of these two dramas has been exactly right. Completely different from what I've experienced before too, so maybe that's why I couldn't find what I needed.

Why should I flag mine? I haven't included any spoilers. I'm asking a question.

Even if she is, so what? Is it a reason to bash her everywhere and drag her name in front of public, which will…
Yeah, I know. That's why I also said my inferences were also just guesses and assumptions. I honestly just think that the people who even wrote an article about it had too much time on their hands or nothing to do. This should have never been made a topic that became so public and widespread. It's just dumb.

She very easily could have said thank you and that she'd pay him back for his kindness. People say things like that all the time. She could have been very sincere about it too. But he went off the rails because he believes she basically moved on to be with someone else. We don't even know if that really happened or if someone else is getting between them - which is very possible given her age. But the fact is, even if she did say something like that, and did (and probably still does) intend to eventually pay him back she probably meant in the future when she was in a position to do so. His statement conveys he's only demanding reimbursement now because he was hurt.

Again, these are just guesses and assumptions. You are making interpretations based on very little information then treating those assumptions as facts.

No one knows the truth other than those involved and possibly those around them. So before behaving like the typical irresponsible netzian and starting with the bashing nonsense, just chill.

Wow. What a ridiculous assumption to make based zero verification of any factual information. Comments like this are how terrible rumors based on nothing landslide into something devastating for the person they're about. Lots of people post things that aren't true just to shame people, out of jealousy or for other reasons. People are mean. There is simply not enough information out there to agree or disagree with either side. But there is more than enough reason for people to remain skeptical of either side. How much more harm does comments like this need to cause for people to become more responsible on the internet?

Just finished it and, yup! Since they all remember (even though it's 12-years later) I think this is a different version of World B, because retaining those time jump memories is the only reason for 2FL holding the reunion and for ML to go there. So this is now World...E?

This was really cute! I liked it a lot!

Title Cinderella Again Spoiler
I enjoyed this drama overall and the leads end up do together in the end. However, the time-travelling concept…
I just started episode 10 so I still need to watch the final episode to see how things play out but I have a different viewpoint on the whole timeline that I'd like to share. Let me know what you think.

First - We need to acknowledge that the curse didn't go into effect when it was torn the first time. The curse is the reason for the FL's rejection in the first place. That's what the curse was meant to do. The only reason they're finding out about it at all is because she went back.

In my opinion, the curse and rejection are the start of the first branch off in worlds. Meaning, the timeline the FL considers to be Real World A, is actually the first World B. The main couple was always meant to be together in the first place. Even though in ML's mind he rejected her because he was irritated by the 2FL's pushing them together and ignoring the residual feelings he and 2FL still had, the real driving factor was actually the curse. It's shown in several different ways that he had already been attracted to the FL, and he said several times that he'd misunderstood her behavior to mean she disliked him. So, in reality, had there been no curse, they most likely would have ended up together in the original timeline. But she wouldn't have gone through what she did for those next 12 years and found her true calling.

The problem is retaining their memories. There's no way to return to their original timelines if any of them have retained any memories from the effects of the curse. So no matter how much she tries to go back - which I think is dumb since she wants to return based on her experiences...which she still has!!! (What an idiot) - it won't ever be right. Even more so now that the other 2 have gone through that whole thing now too.

Here's what I think the timeline is:

Real World A - She confesses and he accepts
World B - She confesses and he rejects her due to the curse. She spends the next 12 years growing from that experience.
World C - Her first trip back after ripping the photo. Here, she remembers everything she experienced after high school and tells the other two leads about everything. The paths of all 3 now changes again, in high school.
World D - When ML tears the photo they go back again and all 3 retain the memories of what happened in World C, with FL also remembering her experiences in World B.

I'm about to watch ep 10 now so I'll see where the writers go with it.

Title Cinderella Again Spoiler
I'm at the very beginning of ep 10 and I'm a little annoyed. FL says she cherishes her memories from her real world and everything that she went through to get there - no matter what though, they're still memories, whether she goes back to that world or not. Memories she clearly still has and things she clearly remembers experiencing, which means she hasn't lost anything at all other than a chance to do even more with the time she has now.

Also, it seems like the only reason she was rejected in the first place was because of the curse. In ML's mind he was irritated by the 2FL's pushing them together and ignoring the residual feelings he and 2FL still had but, he also seems to have already been attracted to the FL. The only issue was that he thought she hadn't liked him at all. So, in reality, had there been no curse, they may have ended up together in the original timeline. Meaning, what they're calling the real world was actually the first branch off - their Real World A is actually World B.

From the beginning, what the curse actually did was give her a chance to grow up and go through those life experiences and improve herself. By going back now and staying there and being with him, she's most likely would have actually been correcting the original path - meaning, going back to the REAL World A. However, because she's kept the memories of everything that happened for those 12 years, she CAN'T actually go back to that REAL World A. Instead this is now a new World D (or E?). As in, what she considers to be the real world is actually the first branch off caused by the original curse. By going back to the time before the curse she's now on the correct path but with a whole bunch of new memories and experiences. And now the other two also have a bunch of new experiences they've brought back with them too. Because of this, the original path is permanently altered, but the relationship between the two leads is happening as it was meant to.

Like this:
Real World A - She confesses and he accepts
World B - She confesses and he rejects her due to the curse. She spends the next 12 years growing from that experience.
World C - Her first trip back after ripping the photo. Here, she remembers everything she experienced after high school and tells the other two leads about everything. The paths of all 3 now changes again, in high school.
World D - When ML tears the photo they go back again and all 3 retain the memories of what happened in World C, with FL also remembering her experiences in World B.

What she's attempting to do now, at the beginning of ep 10, is return to World B (believing it's World A) BUT because she now has all these new memories, that's really no longer possible. Plus, that world wasn't the real one in the first place.

Anyway, what's irritating me is that she keeps pushing the issue of going back to her time when in reality that time was wrong in the first place AND she got the experiences and still has the memories anyway so what's the dang point of trying to go back and of having the stupid photo cursed again? Memories are just that, MEMORIES. If you still have them you're lucky already. It's not like she's going to relive those experiences again!

Let's be honest. Her ass just doesn't want to have to go back through school and starting her career and all that all over again...and she wants to be able to drink beer. No one in their right mind wants to do that shit twice if they don't have too. I can't even be mad at her for it. But that's how they should have portrayed it in the drama.

Gonna go finish watching ep 10 now and see how the writers play this out.
