basically it's about two college classmates majoring in computer science and the development of their relationship…
Seriously, yes. The more I've watched the more I understand the comments and feedback. I'm not done yet (about to start ep. 23 now) but...I can't figure out exactly how to explain it...the blend of writing, directing and acting has been phenomenal in creating a situation where, you feel everything they way you to feel and sometimes push you to the brink but it never becomes 'too much'. Do you know what I mean?
I'm on ep 20 and I need someone to give me the courage to keep going, I keep stopping the episode because I feel…
I did the SAME THING!!! LOL! Now I'm at the end of ep. 22 and I'm irritated that I waited. It wasn't as torturous as I'd expected. It's really...effective, but not difficult to watch. I mean, you feel the emotions you're meant to feel - very much so - but somehow without the exceptional agony I was kinda expecting. If fact, I'm pretty awed by how well they managed to balance everything to pull it off so well for viewers. If it was too heavy it would have been difficult to go on after everything that happened but they didn't take it that far. Well done.
Not gonna lie. Li Xun beating Fang Zhi Jing's ass was very gratifying. My only brief moment of disappointment was when I realized this little white things left behind on the ground in the blood were pieces of FZJ's glass and not his teeth.
Wow... Gao JianHong needs immediate psychological help.. I can't say anything elseHe is not even worth taking…
I let out a rant on here about him earlier today (couldn't help it; my fingers went crazy I was so over him) but I'm midway through ep. 19 now and wanted to say 1) I was SHOCKED that he still hung out with them, enough so that he joined them at a get-together, and 2) I was happy that, for once, he was completely honest with them both about his plans and why he was making them. Had I not already known he later went ahead and did some super-dirty shit I'd have started to have some hope that he was finally maturing, but NOPE. He's one of my least like characters in quite some time and you know how it is with these dramas, unlikeable characters is fairly standard.
I'm currently at 16th episode and I just don't have the motivation to continue it anymore. Li Xun is literally…
Uhhh. Gao Jianhong is pathetic, disgusting and despicable. He is ruled by his ego, pride and jealousy. Should the other two communicate with him better? Definitely. But once he does find out the reasons for them doing things the way did, he still doesn't bother taking the time to understand. He also has no backbone because he always pretends like he's not bothered instead of speaking his mind. She's asked him so many times to say what's bothering him. He could have easily opened his mouth and told at least Zhu Yun how he was feeling. Instead he smiles and pretends he's okay. How can he expect things to change if he never brings the issues to their attention in the first place?
In the end he justifies his behavior by doing shady, underhanded deals just to win a damn competition?! You feel sorry for someone like that? He's willing to do anything to simply not feel inferior. He's nothing but a pathetic lump of dung. Did he have to let them take over his project? NO. Did he have to do what Li Xun said? NO. He could have just told them that it was his project and that he'd do it alone. So everything that happened to him is his own damn fault.
From the very beginning he couldn't handle the fact that there was someone better than him. Had he really wanted to learn from Li Xun, like he said, he wouldn't have behaved the way he did from the get-go. From the beginning he only approached and tried to befriend him to study him so he could beat him. He only befriended Zhu Yun because she was the only other person back then who wasn't in awe of Li Xun. Gao Jianhong is completely FAKE. He's a wolf in sheep's clothing. Jealousy has been driving him from day 1. Even if Li Xun was friendly and kind he'd have still ended up betraying him because he couldn't accept the fact that someone was better.
He is no better than that cheating snake Zhu Yun wants to defeat. They are two peas in a pod. He just hides his ugliness better while the other guy doesn't bother to pretend. Oh and he's mad about the girl he likes liking Li Xun too. How is that Li Xun's fault? It's not the first time he's seen girls falling all over the guy and it's extremely obvious that she only befriended Gao Jianhong to get close to Li Xun. He's not stupid. He damn well knows that she's been using him. But he's mad at Li Xun about it? Puh-lease!
Someone who could forget morality and ethics just to win because he KNOWS he's inferior and can't handle it, deserves every bad thing he gets, and I sooooo hope he gets hell. He's nothing but a wolf (rather, a SKUNK) in sheep's clothing.
I'm on ep 17 and I specifically came on here to say how much he sickens me. Then I saw your post and had to let my frustration fly. So I really, really, really don't mean this to be a personal attack against you or your opinion. I just couldn't refrain from pointing out how much you've overlooked to get there. For the sake of my sanity. My fingers went on a tirade because I'm so disgusted by him right now.
I'm not excusing the other two because they definitely did not consider or treat him as equal because they were both so consumed by their own situations, but that was originally HIS project. He didn't have to go along with them. He could have said NO.
The drama is really good. Out of all the cdramas I've watched, this is the drama where leads have such a good…
Well...there IS an evil SML but not in a romantic aspect, isn't that right? I'm only on episode 3 but there's nothing I like about the betrayer so I don't see myself ever finding him redeemable.
A different drama about a women's ability to love, a strong FL who in the end to get stupid but stuck to her beliefs…
I'm glad you posted this. Sometime back when I was trying to decide if I was in the mood to watch this I remember seeing a post on here where someone was upset because they said it was like FL settled for her backup yet everyone's treating it like this great romance. I was curious why they'd say that so I've been meaning to watch this for a while now but am only just getting around to it.
I just started ep. 6 and I can already tell that person totally didn't get a lot of the story. It's clear the FL already has started having feelings for the ML but because of his age and the differences in them she doesn't want to face it. Same for him right now but I doubt it's gonna last on his end.
I don't think the FL is in love with that other guy at all actually. It's more like she was infatuated by him and before it could turn into something deeper (years before) stuff happened. Now it's more like she's holding on to that feeling of what might have been and the fact that on paper he should be her Mr Right. He's the only man she ever felt anything for before so she thinks that's love - or, actually, maybe it's because everyone around her keeps telling her it is because I only just realized that all along she been saying that it wasn't love with him.
You don't hesitate as hard as she does, and definitely not for that long, if you're deeply in love with someone. Choosing the ML in the end isn't her settling for her backup at all. She already has a stronger attraction to him than she ever seemed to have with that other guy and this is only just getting started.
Have you seen Love Scenery (same female lead) or You Are My Glory? If you haven't you should check them out. You'd…
I get it. I rather like that viewpoint too now that you've brought it to my attention.
I don't care about their looks at all either way to be honest. If you can get past their faces though that particular story has real depth to it. It makes sense for the female lead character to be exceptionally beautiful because her character is a superstar but she's so dang down to earth and REAL in this you might be surprised how much you love her. Same for him too, his too-perfect face has always somewhat bothered me but he does such a great job in this role which really makes him feel like a regular 9-to-5'er.
That whole thing near the end gave the Chinese National team a bad look. I'm surprised they weren't forced to change it (knowing how much the Chinese government likes to sensor). They could have simply made a statement that he had to be convinced to do the commercials to help promote the sport even though all he wanted to do was focus on training. They could have also let other athletes (like those from his university) speak up for him. Furthermore, they clearly knew that other athlete purposely contributed to what happened to secure his chance to compete yet, instead of punishing him for promoting controversy and negativity around the sport, they reward him by letting him go on to compete and sending our lead home? If he had been the stronger athlete in the end I'd understand their decision but they knew damn well he no longer was.
I realize this is just fiction but our emotions watching it are real and I had to consciously remind myself that the Chinese National team didn't actually do this because I was completely turned off by them.
Unfortunately, as a former national athlete myself for several years (long ago), I know the reality is that stuff like this happening amongst ALL national teams is common and very much true. So it really bothered me more than it would most.
I really can't get over how beautiful, graceful, elegant and sophisticated the woman who plays Mo Fei's (FL's) mom is. She's strikingly so. Everytime she appears I'm just in awe and I'm a woman!
1) there is a man who's in love with the fl, but he's a complete weirdo psycho & she's not interested. highly…
OMG I should have heeded your warning about skipping scenes with the 2ML. He's sickening! How would anyone find that constant (and I mean CONSTANT) badgering appealing? I'm so sick of it at this point I had to come here to get it off my chest. Maybe that way I can go back to watching the rest of the darn drama.
I also don't understand why the FL continues to spend so much time with him. Yes, she avoids him and stuff but she always eventually gives in and then shares stuff with him that really isn't appropriate if she's sincerely trying to discourage him from pursuing her. She doesn't set clear boundaries at all. Yes she sets a line he clearly can't cross but that line is literally just shy of allowing him to act like her boyfriend.

Oh! Also don't forget to flag this as a spoiler. Some people on here get fussy.
