I watched this drama a while ago but I still miss it so much. For those saying the FL is stupid and cutesy, you…
I’m on ep 28 now and they just brought that girl who knows ML from high school into the mix. Do you happen to remember if she lasts for more than 1 episode? I really don’t like her at all. She’s the first character to actually turn me off in this one so I’d like to prepare myself.
I love this drama. It’s my 2nd time watching it now. But I have to say how much I hate it when people do things like ML’s mother did to separate them. If you don’t like your child (or your friend, or whomever it is that’s close to you) being with someone, talk to you child (or loved one) about your concerns. Don’t go to the other party directly. That’s disrespectful on so many levels. It’s the one thing that actually stopped me from giving this a 10. I loved that they’d successfully overcome all of the other challenges before that one but hate that the one that succeeded was caused by his own mother. He’s such a good son. Why would she think her actions were the right choice?
I really wish they hadn’t included it in the drama. I know it was for dramatic effect, and they succeeded spectacularly in that regard, but one breakup was enough. They didn’t need another and definitely not at the end of the darn series.
Not sure if you check out the drama yet or not. But the main leads were not step siblings when they were kids,…
There are lots of step siblings who aren’t close at all and who do not have that family feel to their relationship. Especially when separated by such a large distance.
Also, it seems pretty common in Asian culture NOT to consider step-anything’s family. The new families often have no interest in taking in the extra baggage. Granted that wasn’t the dynamic here but the fact that they didn’t call each other’s parents mom and dad but aunt and uncle says A LOT. They never fully integrated so something like this could easily happen. Especially when the ML seems to have loved her all his life.
I have a huge problem with the way they’ve handled the numerous criminal acts committed throughout this drama. These aren’t the usual petty acts of typical antagonists. These are actual crimes and some extremely serious ones. Openly allowing sexual harassment of a coworker in front of you and not a single thing was done about it? False imprisonment and kidnapping that could have ended up being fatal? Oh why not? He was just stressed. Selling corporate secrets, or publicizing a person’s private information on the internet for them to be harassed or potentially worse? I’m on episode 28 and it’s not like there were only a couple of things - it’s been like this throughout this drama and they can’t use the excuse that the drama was old because it was altered from the original and is damn new. Even if they didn’t go into depth with the punishments could could (and SHOULD) have at least mentioned some repercussions.
They clearly want to portray this benevolent, all-forgiving mentality that’s absolutely unrealistic. Especially in corporate environments. Yes there are times when people would feel ashamed of their actions and learn from their mistakes but the fact is 9 times out of 10 that’s never the case. I would have at least been able to accept light repercussions but none whatsoever? No one learns from that!
I really like a lot about this drama and LOVE that it’s a lighter version of SITR but this aspect of the drama is an absolute fail.
There are only 2 episodes left for me to watch and I’m not even bothering to hope that kid would receive some sort of punishment. Shoot I wouldn’t be surprised is they show them all forgiving him and letting him continue to work with them at this point. I hope like hell I’m wrong though!
What’s with this trope in Chinese dramas where people (immature young girls) just barge into people’s houses (and almost always barely knows them) and makes themselves at home? Is that supposed to be cute somehow? Why can’t the homeowners just tell them to get tf out?
I really wanted to sell her dad to the highest bidder. what a stupid man, he doesn't even know how the bills are…
I only read the first line of this comment and fell the hell out! 🤣😂🤣🤣🤣🤣 I only just started this so I’m still on the 1st episode but damn! Her father is ridiculous!
Are you joking right now? A lot of romance kdramas may place more emphasis on the female perspective because romance…
I kinda had the same thoughts. In fact I wondered if this post was meant to be a joke. Kdramas are very chauvinistic. Very. Asian culture in general is extremely male dominant and their dramas are portrayed that way.
But romcom dramas in general are made to please a female audience. That’s anywhere, not just with Asian dramas. It’s the common (but incorrect) stereotype that most real men don’t watch romance.
I tried to watch this looking for a good romcom. All the cast looks like newbies. The ML kept me being reminded…
Namjoon is 1000x hotter. He’s like a frail wimpy version and the resemblance is minimal. Lol
But I’m having the same problem watching this. I was just about to start ep 5 when I decided to stop and look for something else. I want to know what happens but the story is progressing way too slowly. Maybe I’ll try watching it in spurts like this…
It starts off really weak and I can see why someone might drop it after 1 episode. It gets better as you get to…
I’m on ep 5 now and they way they are dragging this out to make it 16 episodes is ridiculous. Throw in how absolutely obnoxious that lawyer dude is (I get that he’s intentionally meant to be outrageous but geez!) and I think I’m gonna have to drop this one. It’s too slow and this style of humor isn’t my taste. Not that it’s bad but it doesn’t make me laugh.

Does it take a long time for the main couple to get together?
What about the antagonists? Do they end up getting the repercussions they deserve?
