The biggest flaw in this drama is that they never explain why sexy serial killer (as I like to call him) chose to kill those particular victims (other than the doctor). That’s a HUGE FAIL on the part of the writers. GIGANTIC. That could have easily been fit in too. Huge points lost on this basis.
Sexy serial killer dude definitely had a thing for FL until he realized who she was and that she was working with the cops. They should have made that a bit more obvious though.
Oh and in what world does a SWAT time enter a scene BEHIND the regular detectives? *banging my head*
I’m not even bothering to mention all the other glaring issues with the writing and holes left in the story. I’ve banged my head so much I’m surprised I don’t have a concussion.
What’s sad is the drama’s fun and interesting enough to keep you entertained but the writers seem like newbies or something. Like young, inexperienced writers who have talent but haven’t developed and honed their skills enough to write a wholesome, well-rounded and WELL-RESEARCHED story.
I ask myself - do these people not read back what they write or play back what they’ve filmed before airing? Maybe it’s because they tend to air while still recording that’s the problem. I have to believe if they took the time to watch these dramas from beginning to end before airing they’d come to realize the very glaring issues we viewers have to grapple with, and they could maybe address them before actually airing?? Maybe??
I’m sorry. Episode 14. You mean to tell me these “detectives” didn’t even think to walk around the site where the killer’s car was found to LOOK and SEARCH with their own damn eyes for where the entrance to the tunnel might be?! You’ve got to be shitting me. That little time left and they didn’t look further than the car or continue in the direction that she started off in before the rain started. It’s clearly a huge new lead. BIG damn FAIL in the writing writers. Epic fail!
Lord help me! I just started episode 12 and I think I may end up dropping this. I simply cannot understand what…
Lol! You crack me up. Before We Get Married is another that’s been on my list for a very long time but I keep putting it off. I’ll have to check out your review.
I just started watching The Girl Who Sees Smells. That’s also been on my list for quite some time but a friend of mine started watching it over the weekend and has been begging me to watch it as well. So I’m checking it out. I’m only on ep 3. So far it’s decent. A few issues with the writing here and there of course but no major turnoffs as of yet. It’s definitely keeping me interested.
I can’t believe I ended up liking it. I really can’t believe it. It wasn’t ever horrible - don’t get me wrong - but it was extremely frustrating to watch the main couple for 2/3’s of the series. The ending was open but I’m shocked to say it was still good! I don’t think I’ve ever said that about ANY open-ended story before (drama, movies, novel or otherwise).

OMG now I want to slap myself for being an idiot and continuing to watch this mess! That took all of 5 mins! Yeah…no. Nope. Uh-uh. I’m done with this crap. On to the next!
So I’m watching this for the 1st time and I’m all the way to midway in episode 11, and I have to say that…
Made it to midway through episode 14 and I’m glad I did. ML has finally started growing on me and FL seems to have found some sense and self-respect. Hopefully they won’t tick me off again though.

Okay I’m midway through episode 14 and I can finally say ML and their relationship has grown on me a bit. He’s finally gotten some sense and she has too. HOWEVER, there are 2 episodes left to go so I’m pretty sure he/they will piss me off again.
I only made it this far because I took a 4-day break in between but I’m actually glad came back to it and watched a bit more. I may just stop here though so I don’t end up eating my words LOL!
One wrist-drag is more than enough for me, and this drama seems to have one in every episode. And of course it's…
Lord help me! I just started episode 12 and I think I may end up dropping this. I simply cannot understand what people love about the drama. FL is literally talking herself into believing it’s okay to step in on someone else’s relationship after just experiencing the other side of that for herself. I find that kind of behavior disgusting. And the minute that jackass said he hadn’t yet figured out what to do about his current girlfriend she should have slapped the shit out of him. What trash! What absolute trash!

I swear to you, I am so relieved to see your post. It’s not that I’m not enjoying the drama - it’s entertaining but frustrating as all hell! I’m at episode 11 and, honestly, as long as I don’t think of it as a rom-com I’m okay. ML’s behavior is just so toxic and FL’s romanticizing his immature and selfish behavior (although she IS correct in interpreting what his actions mean) frustrates the heck out of me. He’s a coward. Also, he knows first-hand that she was treated like shit by her ex and has self-esteem issues yet he continues to behave like an ass towards her and treat her like shit. How in hell is that appealing? She should be ripping into his ass not continuing to fall for him. It’s all because of her low self-esteem.
EDIT: I’d actually only read half of you post before first responding. Now that I’ve read the rest I can see we both really share the same impressions on this one.
So I’m watching this for the 1st time and I’m all the way to midway in episode 11, and I have to say that I really do not care for the ML. He’s an asshole. He’s been an asshole and remains an asshole. He treats Sam Soon like absolute trash and while in other scenarios she demands respect from others, with him she has zero self-respect. Okay, so he gives mixed signals, but why does that matter when 98% of their interactions involve him treating her like shit while being a completely selfish and self-absorbed person. At this point I really DON’T want her to end up with him. Maybe that blind date guy she keeps running into instead. They seem more fated in my opinion.
The rating of 8+ let me down here. a) I like my MLs good looking. Here not a single ML was good looking enough…
My one issue with this drama also happens to be with the female lead. Neither she nor her acting were right for the role and that just grated at me throughout most of the show. Not to mention I didn’t care very much for the character as she continued her one-sided crush, without ever even really thinking of trying to get over him, for more than a year after he started dating her best friend. It’s like she was just waiting for them to break up and that just really eff’d up. Plus she was more immature than the high schoolers she taught, which was a major turnoff. I get that she’s supposed to be ‘cute’ but she doesn’t come across that way, most likely because of bad acting.
I’m rewatching this drama now and remember that I originally gave it a really high rating so I know things get better, but it’s been so long that I don’t remember if she (the actress) grows on me or if everything else was just that good that I was able to overlook my issues with her and that character. I’m on episode 7 of my rewatch so I guess I’ll find out soon.
I do know that I really enjoyed the drama by the time it ended so I’m looking forward to what comes next.
