That little girl is so damn adorable! My second time watching and she’s just as cute as ever with her terrible self! LOL! I love her. And her father is flat out amazing. The characters in this drama are soooo well written and the actors completely bring them to life.
Okay! I finally just finished this….I LOVED IT! Love, love, love it! This was fantastic!
Oh and by the way, I’m also a huge fan of Falling Into Your Smile as well - for all of you who say it’s not likely or possible to like both. I watched FIYS first and fell in love with it and for the first 5 episodes or so I thought Gank Your Heart couldn’t stand a chance against it but I was wrong. I honestly can’t say either is better. I love them both. They each have their strengths and focused on different things but each was executed beautifully. China has seriously stepped up their drama (especially e-sports dramas) game!
GYH and FIYS are 2 of my favorite Asian dramas out there, and the 2 best e-sports dramas of them all.
Seriously? Most of the comments here are comparing to FIYS . Bru, this drama is about pursuing careers and frienship.…
Too true! I liked FIYS but so far I’m also enjoying this (I’m on ep. 9). For me it’s really more about what I was in the mood for at the time. I wasn’t in the mood for something like Gank You Heart for a while there so it took me a few weeks to get through the 1st 5 episodes, even though I couldn’t particularly say it was bad. I just wasn’t in the right mindset to be able to tolerate the wait for the main couple work through their kinks and get together, and also to tolerate certain particularly annoying behaviors written into the story. But now I’m finally in the mood for this style of drama and it’s working for me.
Sometimes I enjoy watching the turbulence. Other times I just need a more smooth development with romance occurring up front.
I’m on ep 5 and quite frankly ML is an extremely inconsiderate and very immature asshole. I keep having to start…
I really like that opening theme song though. It’s hot.
There are things I do like about the drama so I’ll continue watching. I just don’t have much tolerance for selfish, immature, or underhanded behavior (and I’m not even really talking about the ML right now).
I’m on ep 5 and quite frankly ML is an extremely inconsiderate and very immature asshole. I keep having to start and stop watching this drama. I usually always marathon everything I watch, but it’s taken me weeks just to watch 3/4 way through ep 5. Not sure about this one…
Seems like a lot of people came from watching Fall Into Your Smile. Frankly, if they liked that drama I can see…
Since when does a bunch of unnecessary misunderstandings and reprehensible behavior = substance? In my opinion this is a pretty immature drama that’s full of annoying behavior that’s a major turnoff for me, but that’s just MY personal opinion. I get that some people like melodrama and if that’s your cup of tea then I’m sure you’ll like this. BUT to say another drama lacks substance simply because it isn’t full of superfluous drama is uncalled for. Just because that’s what YOU consider substance doesn’t mean there wasn’t meaningful (and mature) substance for others in a drama.
This FL has got to be the dumbest character I’ve seen. Not naive or innocent. Straight up dumb. Every time get into the rhythm and am enjoying the show her stupidity (oh and her lack of self-respect and self-love) makes an appearance. I seriously can’t stand stupid or how the writers always seem to justify her behavior that’s such a turnoff. It’s not cute. There are parts of her character that are adorable and makes me like her, but then they throw in this pathetic, demeaning, idiotic, class-less and just brainless behavior that I hate.
I now see why people have a love-hate relationship with the show. I enjoy it fir the most part, but the aspects and parts I don’t like, I REALLY don’t like.
I’m on ep 11 and will keep watching but just needed to vent a bit.
I’m on ep 2 and I’m trying to power through it but it’s really difficult to watch such a sickeningly pathetic woman behave like she is over such a dung-covered pig like her husband. It’s even harder to watch now that she’s pretty. This is more than just zero self esteem. I honestly don’t understand what in the world she loves about him. There’s absolutely nothing appealing. It’s hard to continue to watch (especially being a woman myself) but I do want to try to make it to see when and how she grows a damn brain.
I love that people were actually punished for bad behavior instead of being let off with just an apology.
I love that Lu Sicheng didn’t allow the company to just cave to the public sentiment and instead forced them to have their player’s backs (doesn’t happen nearly enough in real life).
I love the messages the story gives. The lessons learned. Instead of showing terrible behaviors perpetuated and/or left unaddressed and glossed over like we see in the vast majority of Asian dramas.
I love that the various family relationships were all handled realistically and maturely.
I love that they didn’t pretend PDA was a goddamn sin and also showed that it’s normal for people their age to be in sexual relationships.
There was sooooo much done right in this drama. Any issues were so minor they aren’t even worth dwelling on.
We need to see more dramas sending positive messages and setting good examples like this moving forward.
I absolutely, completely and overwhelmingly loved watching this drama. It’s a wonderful experience.
How is it petty to want to support the actual creators? If you got robbed out of your ideas you would be petty…
Just give up. There’s no point arguing with an irrational person. Some people just need to feel like their right no matter what. They refuse to consider other opinions so whatever you say will fall on deaf ears. I’m going back to enjoying my dramas. You should too. LOL!

I absolutely disagree with people who say it’s perfect on the gaming aspect as well. Never said I didn’t. But this is not just an esports drama. It’s a ROM-COM around e-sports. It’s just not that serious. It’s entertainment.

If you’re going to do a medical drama do it properly. If you’re going to do a law drama do it properly. All of those statements and more could be said about every drama out there. They are written for ENTERTAINMENT. They aren’t e-sports documentaries. This is a ROM-COM. It’s not imperative for the gaming to be 100% accurate. Also, cyber-bullying is never okay no matter what the reason or so-called justification. Furthermore, the plagiarism ALLEGATIONS (no law suit or anything has been filed, hence the drama being released and allowed to air) are from die-hard e-sports fan who, quite frankly, seem determined to find more and more issues to claim aspects were plagiarized. Why hadn’t the original writer sued (or did they and I’m just jot aware), why haven’t the people the story was supposedly based on sued as well? Unless RUMORS are proven true, acts of retaliation are abusive. Even then, certain behaviors are NEVER justified.
And her father is flat out amazing.
