No. She wasn't disappointed. In the novel She knew that the 1st person he would want to talk to was Guan Zai as the project was started by the two and Guan Zai was the Chief Engineer. But after his 2 years from work Yu Tu alone continued working on their dream. So he called him to tell him that it was successful.
She just wanted to play a prank on him that's why she ran around the back. But after she saw him on the phone she realized who he would be talking to. So she waited.
I think this drama will be an underated gem. I loved it. As it was so positive and sweet with minimal crazy characters.
I started it by chance after seeing it on YouTube. Many people I think we're caught up with You Are My Glory, Crush and even Unforgettable Love myself included. Plus the Olympics. I don't think it's being advertised at all really. I usually see little clips of dramas on Instagram but haven't seen any from the pages I follow of this one.
So recommend it to your friends and family so that they too get into the sweetness of this drama.
One of the episodes that I was looking forward to the most was episode 30 the wedding. When I read this chapter Gu Man did such a good job in terms of explaining the wedding, YuTu's hesitation and confusion; then his acceptance of this simple uncomplicated wedding that Jing Jing wanted.
My imagination is great so usually when I read things I could imagine (visualize) everything but to see the actual wedding. The preparation, the flowers,the stars the dress; it was just so beautiful.
To me the other things that made the whole wedding so special and so beautiful was the fact that usually the group weddings are simple because it's the institute's own budget.
However, he joined the group chat and asked all the couples if it was okay to have a little more fancier. Yu Yu suggested the theme and everybody agreed. He contributed most of the ideas and design for the wedding because although he understood why Jing Jing wanting it simple.
He knows what she likes. He understands she likes nice things. Likes to look pretty and beautiful. So it would be a beautiful and wonderful surprise for her when she saw it.
A few days ago someone said in the comment section that they feel sorry for people that dropped You Are My Glory before we came to the ending and I totally agree with that sentiment.
One reviewer said that Yang Yang and Dilraba had no chemistry at all and it was like they were siblings π€£ππ€ππ and I said to myself SIBLINGS!!!!! Even if you only watched the 1st 8 episodes of You Are My Glory how could you say they have no chemistry. Then fast forward to episodes 21-32 π₯°ππ₯΅π₯π₯
Another reviewer said all they saw was senseless romance & too much kissing and nothing interesting or impactful was to be learnt from the drama. 1. I'm thinking did we not see the whole struggle and crisis that Yu Yu went through.
2. Jing Jing growing into herself and becoming better in her acting & even eventually doing chores at home.
3. Did we not see their respective friends and co-workers rallying around them and everybody working hard. And so much more. They say no character growth.
4. Even episodes 1 to 18 that many persons did not like because it focused too much on gaming and then the focus on Yu Tu's aerospace. Still some persons found those episodes interesting, exciting, nice & informative they were able to connect with the characters. Jing Jing's determination to succeed and not to be ostracised from her her fans and lose her endorsements and Yu Tu's to helplessness as a son, a possible spouse, a friend & colleague.
Plus they say Yang Yang can't act and he had one expression throughout the entire drama. Lawd have mercy !!!! π€π₯°ππ₯π₯΅ With some of those looks Yang Yang put down on Dilraba in this drama it would be truly frightening to see him out and about looking at the females like that.

I do not think that Yu Tu did anything bad or is trash. His Ex was the one that dated him with her own motives and even when she came back to see if they could get back together she had her own motives. She never once took his life or his goals into consideration it was all about her. 1. She would be able to say 'I married Yu Tu to most handsome and smartest guy from High School and University. 2. My husband did a double major at University. 3. My husband is in finance and he makes buckets of many and we have 2 kids, a house, a villa & 2 cars. These would just be examples of how she would go around talking about her life.

She always felt jealous of QJJ because she was pretty, but she didn't make a big deal because she had better grades. Then after they started to date she specifically told an old classmate who told the entire class in the class group. As she knew QJJ was hear about it.
When she decided to come back and date him. It wasn't because she missed & loved him. It was because she dated other guys and none of them measured up to Yu Tu. So she decided she would forget that he had no money as she has money. But he has a respectable and braggable career, plus he was handsome. So she would put up with what she wouldn't when she was younger. She was even more motivated to get him back when she heard that he was in contact with QJJ.
The only thing Yu Tu did was say yes to someone that asked him out. If she hadn't approached him with his personality he would not have approached her.
The worst mistake anyone can make is to start dating someone knowing full well their goals or mindset and then try to change them to fit your own ideas in your head.
In my opinion she wasted her youth and her own time because she had very high expectations and also believed that because she was beautiful and smart she would get whatever she wanted. She was never willing to compromise probably with her past partners.
I stumbled onto this drama last year on netflix not know anything about gaming or Glory, but I became obsessed that afternoon. Everything that I was watching or doing was placed on the back burner that weekend. The ups and downs of each character and how they were able to overcome their different issues and form a team sucked me in. This was a team of misfits, on a regular game day nobody would really take the team serious but once the started playing everyone took notice.
This was my first gaming drama and it will not be the past but it will always be my #1 Favourite of all time. I have watched all the other gaming dramas that have been produced as of this year and Kings Avatar is #1.
FYI there is no romance in here. Maybe you can infer that a few characters might like each other but the story does not focus there.

I think from what I understood from the novel. Which wasn't a great translation. Someone from one of the companies found out he was Yu jin and it was a bigger deal in the book. The press came to their house, surrounded his office and even found their apartment after they went there. He then told them to back off as she was pregnant and while they were going up stairs she collapsed. Then like Minami016 said, while going into the hospital room her friend appeared and told her that she was leaving now as she had to around her. Like the baby and her husband so she doesn't need her anymore. Also the book really went into more details on her the dead of her too friends affected her so much, but nobody knew until he found out that Cheny Yin was dead.
