I wonder what is the obsession with fast paced romance and skinship that many have. I love a great romantic love story that has kisses and whatnot.
But in real life all relationship do not happen like that. If we think about some dramas the leads would be kissing & sending hot grazes left right and center without any substance. Plus you would have lots of complaints there too.
Yes by now Shi Yi & ZhouSheng Chen are married, but they still don't really know each other. Before the engagement the talked only via email for 6 months & that wasn't anything personal or heavy. Then they only met a few more times before getting married, again they had work commitments couldn't be together.
Also, not all men are the same when dating. Even if they are married they are still getting to know each other and getting comfortable. I find the pace to be nice & very realistic. It shows that he respects and cherishes Shi Yi . Thus wants to make sure he is comfortable and she as well. Obviously we see Shi Yi is a little more willing to be hands on and take things to the next level.
Although they have made many changes from the novel, I am enjoying it. Obviously in the novel they are more romantic and have already had a wedding night & many nights up to were we are in drama land . All dramas will not follow the same script (formula).
People complain that he was too domineering and Shi Yi was a doormat in the novel now he is too soft, weak and awkward in the drama 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️. Can't please everybody.

Yep. All these people keep talking about who was reincarnated and who wasn't. The novel made no mention at anytime to others were reincarnated. Only The leads. Mei only said once in the novel that he was following (friends) Zhoucheng Sheng since small," it's seems as if he owed him in his past life".

I liked this drama, but not as an adaptation of the novel. It was alright for what it was. I think the drama is a very watered down version of the novel. The novel had so much character development for both of them and she even pursued her own interest more clearly. These actors could not pull of the last half of the novel if the story was left as it. Dramas with a mature feel in my opinion sometimes do not do so well. So these types of shows will continue to be aired instead.

So she said she would just jump in the lake, the friend decided to go with her. That friend wrote a note for her family explaining why they did it and also said they would be reincarnated. So people started to question the home life, but also talk about the dramas that those little girls would be watching that influenced them.

I don't think the drama will show that she remembers her past life or make it so explicit that she does. It might be implied that she does. As China has censorship on reincarnation stories, I read in an article... That's why they are showing that she is dubbing the past life instead of her remembering. In the novel from their 1st meeting and throughout all these meetings from episodes 1 to 6 she would remember things about their life.
Zhou Sheng Chen is just so adorable in Forever and Ever. I love it 💕😘. To think that he started off so cute and awkward and then went on to film One and Only to be commanding and majestic. My ❤️ is filled. Shi Yi looks so great and is very confident. Plus hello all outfits on point. They really dressed her nice.
Do i need to watch" one and only " before watching this series?
If you watch One and Only, you would really understand why this life is so precious to them. Plus why everyone will be so excited. But this story can stand alone as Amanda said.

It's not that the ending isn't good. It's just sad. It's not an ending that would make you get so angry that you wonder why did I watch this? I just wasted all my time. You will cry and wonder why couldn't they have a better happier future.
