The proposal made perfect sense to me. She liked him from the 1st moment she talked to him, them the has 6 months of emailing each other. By this time she already fell for him.
We see how he also liked her and came to realize it himself.

Last week I read an article that's said reincarnation stories are censored because two teenage girls committed suicide, after 1 of them was afraid to go home because she lost her key or forgot it.
So she said she would just jump in the lake, the friend decided to go with her. That friend wrote a note for her family explaining why they did it and also said they would be reincarnated. So people started to question the home life, but also talk about the dramas that those little girls would be watching that influenced them.

I don't think the drama will show that she remembers her past life or make it so explicit that she does. It might be implied that she does. As China has censorship on reincarnation stories, I read in an article...
That's why they are showing that she is dubbing the past life instead of her remembering. In the novel from their 1st meeting and throughout all these meetings from episodes 1 to 6 she would remember things about their life.

Zhou Sheng Chen is just so adorable in Forever and Ever. I love it 💕😘.
To think that he started off so cute and awkward and then went on to film One and Only to be commanding and majestic.

If you watch One and Only, you would really understand why this life is so precious to them. Plus why everyone will be so excited.
But this story can stand alone as Amanda said.

Oh gosh, the 1st couple minutes of episode 1 made me wanna cry, they lies they tell in History books.

It's not that the ending isn't good. It's just sad. It's not an ending that would make you get so angry that you wonder why did I watch this? I just wasted all my time.
You will cry and wonder why couldn't they have a better happier future.

I think he looked better in this drama than in Mr Crow and Miss Lizard or something like that 😆😂. His last drama.

Also Forever and Ever was filmed before One and Only.

Forever and Ever was filmed 1st.

This is for the people that read the novel.

Did I miss something?

I noticed that many persons are saying they are sad that Forever and Ever has a different cast. Why didn't they use the same cast.?

But from my memory only Shiyi and Zhou Sheng Chen where reincarnated. Him with a different face and her with the same but with the ability to speak.

The book made reference that his best friend has been loyal to him since childhood and he joked that maybe he owed him in his past life. That's why he follows him around always & so he could have been the Prince that killed him.

So there isn't any reason to use back those people unless they just wanted to use them back as they did a good job on the Drama etc. But Forever and Ever was filmed 1st and then a month later One and Only was filmed.

Plus Forever and Ever cast is the original cast.

Their modern life had nothing to do with their past life. The only connection it had was that Shiyi remembered it. Allen had no recollection whatsoever.

Also the original novel, did not go into much details of their past life. Shiyi would just sit and think about their 2 lives together and we would get a snippet. When she realized that he was written out of history and she could find no good information about him only that he wanted to rebel she decided to write down what she remembered.

So it wouldn't make sense to have the same cast.

I just posted something in the discussion. I didn't go indepth as I'm not sure how author wrote the story for the Drama.

Plus Bai Lu is funny and likes to laugh. So it's sure to be fun.
Allen even said that when they were filming O&O because she made to do many hand signs and be serious they found it funny. As she is usually upbeat and talking.
